The facilities are well maintained and have been modernized over the years. The staff on site, although not always very knowledgeable of the area, is super friendly and helpful. The entrance fee is reasonable and very interestingly, if you don't have time to see it all in one day, you can complete your visit anytime during the season or even the following year. Unfortunately, the pontoon and city towers close very early in the season (end of August). (Original) La dernière fois que j'y suis allé c'était il y a presque 20 ans et j'y suis retourné récemment avec mon garçon et nous avons définitivement apprécié la visite. Les installations sont bien entretenues et ont été modernisées au fil des années. Le personnel sur place, quoique pas toujours très connaissant du domaine est hyper sympathique er serviable. Le prix d'entrée est raisonnable et fait très intéressant, si vous n'avez pas le temps de tout voir en une journée, vous pouvez compléter votre visite en tout temps pendant la saison ou même l'année suivante. Malheureusement, les tours de ponton et de ville ferment très tôt dans la saison (fin-août).

They even reproduced a role play where each player is a leader of a country! Each country is different, climate, surface ... you will have to develop your country in order to best meet the challenge of today! Give energy to your country while preserving it at best. In short a real good surprise! Then you can climb to the top of the tower to see what is really the devil's hole, the park of Mauricie, the city of Shawinigan! A real nice family outing (Original) Quand on m'avait dit que j'allais visiter un musée aussi intéressant à Shawinigan je dois avouer que j'étais un peu sceptique ! Mais finalement la cité de l'énergie propose vraiment une visite intéressante en restant ludique ! Tout d'abord un film d'une vingtaine de minute vous présente la définition de l'énergie de son commencement à aujourd'hui ! Ce film est tout nouveau et est véritablement une réelle performance multimedia ! La salle tourne sur elle même ! Des écrans sur 360 degré ! Des projecteurs 4K ! Une bande son incroyable ! C'est un véritable clip d'une finesse incroyable ... il y a rien à dire niveau multimédia les québécois sont vraiment doué ! La suite c'est un musée très ludique, des jeux, des expériences, des questionnaires... il y a toujours quelqu'un pour répondre à vos questions ou vous expliquer les enjeux de l'énergie aujourd'hui ! Ils ont même reproduit un jeu de rôle ou chaque joueur est dirigeant d'un pays ! Chaque pays est différent, climat, superficie ... vous allez devoir développer votre pays afin de répondre au mieux au enjeu d'aujourd'hui ! Donner de l'énergie à votre pays tout en le préservant au mieux. Bref une vrai bonne surprise ! Puis vous pouvez monter en haut de la tour pour voir ce qu'est vraiment le trou du diable, le parc de la Mauricie, la ville de Shawinigan ! Une vrai belle sortie en famille

I mentioned to the reception clerk that since it was their responsibility to update the information on their website and that in addition the tour of the tower was included in the price of our tickets, that it was abused to charge an extra $ 12 for disposable masks. The first interactive part of the visit was appreciated by all and William, the young man in charge of this section of the visit was very friendly. The children found the rest of the visit a bit long. Even if the material seems new, very well maintained and attractive, the content takes a long time to assimilate. La première partie interactive de la visite a été appréciée de tous et William, le jeune homme en charge de cette section de la visite était très sympathique. Les enfants ont trouvé le reste de la visite un peu longue. Même si le matériel semble neuf, très bien entretenu et attrayant, le contenu est très long à assimiler. Nous avons donc trouvé le tout plus beau qu’intéressant. Pour la partie du Musée Jean Chrétien, nous avons trouvé que c’était sans grand intérêt. On y retrouve surtout des objets qui furent offerts au premier ministre. La jeune fille qui donnait les explications dans la réplique du bureau du premier ministre semblait trouver sa journée pénible. Pour la visite des centrales, notre guide était parfait. Ses explications étaient claires et fluides. Il était accessible et se montrait généreux en répondant à nos questions. Par contre, l'autobus/tramway qui nous conduit et reconduit pour la visite à une odeur douteuse et très désagréable. En plus, les places réservées et disponibles sont mal pensées parce que nous étions assis sur la bosse des pneus donc très inconfortable. En résumé, pour le prix, nous avons été déçus. Nous n’y retournerons pas et je ne recommande pas non plus. Ça avait l’air vraiment plus intéressant sur le site qu'en vrai. Et l'attitude du jeune homme à l’entrée a teintée le reste de notre visite, dommage.
