Wonderful place to visit! You can freely roam around to explore every room and take your time admiring the furniture and everything else. The house is well managed and I could even live there )). Staff was very polite and offered us freshly baked shortbread which was delicious.

Went to the murder mystery night at Woodside. Excellent acting and a lot of interactive fun in getting to play the slueth as we interviewed the various players to determine who the murderer was. All In historically intriguing setting. A great evening that combines fun, history and problem solving in a very unique environment. Would certainly recommend the experience to anyone.

they have a new bathrooms that are accessable but you can never access them because they are always locked what a waist of tax dollars to have it built and never allow us to use them in the five years i have been going there they have only been open twice shame nice bathrooms going to waist

Small, but nicely done with pleasant staff. Good for kids as it's small and has open outdoor spaces. Only open 3 months a years, so has a stuffy smell when it is within first couple weeks of opening.

Nice grounds at this historic site. There is a little man made pond, a bunch of benches, some picnic tables under a covered area, some green space, parking, and the building itself that is currently closed. There is a small trail through the forest. There are park hours but not sure about the enforcement.

Nice museum. Exhibits were very authentic. We went there fir the Murder mystery event. Lots of fun. Good scenarios and great performances by the non-acting hired staff. Thanks

A hidden gem in Kitchener. The historical house is only open October-December but the grounds are open year round. There's a covered patio area with lots of tables and seating as well as a large nicely groomed lawn/ perfect for gatherings with friends and family. Surrounding the area is a beautiful old-growth area with well maintained foot paths and an old train track. We saw lots of blue Jays!

Hours are very limited to mostly summer and Christmas so make sure it is open. Grounds are always open and are a nice place to stroll or have a picnic. Lots of picnic tables and garbage cans available. Grounds are small. It would only take 15 minutes to thoroughly explore. House is intestine and well kept up if you do get to go in. There are guided tours and lots of special activities when it is open, such as baking and making period crafts.

Beautiful. Lots of nature. Lots of mosquitos too so go prepared!

This is a wonderful piece of history. Too bad the government cutbacks closed it to the public. On the plus side, if you do go, make sure you knock on the door. Woodside is used as a local office for Parks Canada. If there is anyone working, They probably will let you in. The person working there is the former curator for the Woodside National Historic Site and knows everything there is to know about Woodside. well worth it!

Shan Powell

It is a nice setting but quite small. You'll have a hard time spending very long here, but for a short stop in it's a nice setting that helps you forget that you're in the middle of a city.

Was a neat place to visit. nice to bring your dog for a walk or have a picnic. If you get a chance to visit WLMK house it is a must! They often host events like murder mysteries. Highly recommend.

The groundskeeper does a fantastic job keeping it tidy and in good order. There was a bees nest and he came out right away and managed it. The house itself is a fascinating little tour, complete with introductory film that my 8 year old really appreciates. Lovely place for a visit.

Beautiful setting for any number of activities. Do take the time to get a permit if getting pictures done here. Park staff is always present and they are quick to fine those who don't take care of this simple administrative task.
