Wonderful school, family and community programming.

The curation at KWAG is always impecable. The renovations look amazing making the building even more inviting. The commitment to art done by women and people of colour is visible everywhere and I hope they keep it up. There are several outreach programs and entrance is free. A jewel in the Waterloo region.

Poor quality exhibitions. Nothing worthy of an illustrative telephone snap shot on this, my first visit. Seemingly follow the leader, grant provider, old school politics and therefore not much for collectors, serious advanced students of art, and the general public.

Eric Siegfriedt

Free admission!

Helpful staff. Excellent collections!

Small but interestingly curated. Admission is free. Would be interested to have more about K/W represented in what is on display. Hope it can expand its visible collection in the near future.

It is clean and nice facility and the reception is hospital and polite. It contains a lot of arts, mainly paintings. I did had good experience, would have been more nice if there were a devoted guide that share information regarding the art product, if there were a lot of realism copy or original of Canadian or foreigner landscape paintings for exhibit.

Jenna van Klaveren

Terre Chartrand

Excellent small public gallery. Shows that take risks and traditional worlds collide under this roof.

Just fine if you enjoy art??????

A small art gallery, with an interesting collection. One unexpected highlight was a thought provoking movie, about the site of the first ever Atomic Bomb test. In New Mexico, it is now safe to visit, and the video artist has interviewed a number of the visitors for their take on this slice of history.

KWAG is the backbone of art and cultural life in the Region of Waterloo. It offers numerous programs to engage public with art and cultural development, including inviting influencing and inspiring people to give lectures and presentations about their works and topics that matter to the community. It's a public asset that should be supported by all the residents of the region.

Quite small, but a cute gallery. Brought out toddler, who was not a fan of the war hotel exhibit, but I definitely will go back to explore more. Friendly staff and completely free, which is amazing.

We drove up on a sunny Saturday and couldn't tell if the gallery was open or not. After checking the website we discovered that it was indeed open. I’m not sure if the gallery is planning to have a lighted “open” sign but it would make the austere, unwelcoming front door more inviting. Also, how about some seating in the gallery rooms so that visitors can rest and look at the art. There are always interesting shows at this gallery and the actual reception area is well-lit and welcoming but the exterior is drab. There isn’t even a clear indication of where the front door is.

Priya Kaushal

Good art gallery alots of things are there.

Georgina de Barros

Krista Cr

Great small gallery with interesting exhibits

Wil Candlish

A small gallery with a real focus on promoting local and Canadian artists. There are some lovely paintings here and the travelling displays are often top notch. Admission is very reasonable. The gallery does a great deal of outreach in the community and really tries to offer a wide variety of educational opportunities, classes, camps and workshops. Overall, well worth a visit as part of a day.
