If you have young children go here! Lots of neat things *and* a playroom for little ones. Also interesting to adults (well it was to us anyway). Small entrance fee. Nicely air conditioned.

FANTASTIC experience - one of the highlights of our day trip to the Kingston area. Our five girls, ages 9-15, created treasures with the help of Tristan, a delightful young man and self-taught wood worker. We spent about 1.5 hours in the woodshop, and enoyed every moment. The museum was fascinating for the adults, as well. Unfortunately, due to the extreme heat wave we're currently experiencing in the north-east, the chain saw artist-in-residence had for the day about 1pm, so we missed this part of the experience - but were able to view some of his completed art and works-in-progress. Would love to go back and see him carving some day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! THANKS, TRISTAN - you were GREAT!!

Really great spot to take your kids! I wasn't really sure what to expect, and it exceeded my expectations. It's not somewhere you'd spend hours, but definitely worth it to pop in.

We did a woodworking workshop here and it was great! The instructors were excellent and it was a really fun project that taught us a lot of skills for a great price! I hope to do another workshop soon!

Great museum with lots to see and do. It's a little bit out of the way but well worth the drive

Staff very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly. Was great to see same staff here and at the Pump House museum. We were remembered by staff and that was awesome.

I thought it was horrible,we took our grade 3 class and the 4 "students" that were suppose to be running it,didn't make a very good impression on me, as they seemed like they weren't interested in talking to the kids or making them feel enthused to be there to learn about the antique wood tools and trying to get them interested really in helping them build there houses with wood glue that takes hours to dry and the kids were getting frustrated as the pieces to there homes kept falling off, maybe if some hammer and nails were involved or even a hot glue gun would have been better or better yet laying the project flat would have even helped the situation better. Wasn't enthused at all by this visit and would never recommend or be interested in a revisit with the school class or personally. Hopefully it was just the under enthused staff that day that was working which was June 20 2019.
