Parking is a problem and not alot of large stores in the downtown.

Ashish Castelino

Shop around, enjoy a dinner at one of the patios or just walk with your loved one, this place is definitely a charm. Parking is a task on weekends though

Amazing stores and spots to eat but the entire town closes around 6-7pm so dont plan on doing anything after that other than eating if you can get a reservation.

Nice mix of old and new.

Vibrant and exciting...rare that you wont find me enjoying one of the many events or one of the plentiful people watching spots throughout the core...but the best part..there are plenty of little nooks and crannies in which you can sneak away and enjoy a puff, share a romantic moment or just listen to some tunes and play a game on your cell phone...or in this case, review the many joys this city has to offer

Beautiful area in the summer and in the winter with the lights well maintained streets and sidewalks for snow and ice different stors lots of different restaurants smaller city but big enough to enjoy life. downtown Kingston can be busy sometimes but the transit is amazing local transit is run very well in the city and you can get anywhere by a bus it's actually probably easier to take the bus and it is to drive or ride a bike or walk the city compared to others is amazing like I said for local transit. Great city to live in glad I'm here

I love Kingston as it's a smaller city with all accessibility similar to Toronto. If I'm given an option to select between Toronto and Kingston, I would have selected Kingston and the downtown of Kingston is just cherry on the cake.

Very nice area... better than I've expected. Lots of good places to eat and to visit. We've had a pleasant experience overall, with some exceptions. Firstly, we were uninspired to pick probably the worst place to eat in the downtown core: Island Star Dockside Patio. While the settings is excellent, the food was abysmal. Secondly, I have never seen so many street people begging. And I worked downtown Toronto for many years. Other than that, it was definitely worth driving to visit the place.

A joy to see the hustle and bustle of return Downtown foot traffic of shoppers , students and workers as Stage 1 CoVid Lockdown Ends. Kingston was one of the Five (5) worst Ontario cities effected financially by the Pandemic.
