This is a gem that not many Winnipeggers know about. It's a couple blocks east of Main, between Smithfield and Rupertsland. The property was owned by one of the wealthiest families in early Winnipeg (the Inkster family), and many of the artifacts are original. Staff are in period costumes, and very knowledgeable. The gardens are spectacular.

The oldest house in Winnipeg. Interesting history and enjoyable tour. They have several community activities here during the summer. A valuable piece of Winnipeg history.

What a beautiful history gem in Winnipeg! Gabriel was a fantastic tour guide and answered all our questions and then some! Always a pleasure to learn more of the families and history in this great city of ours. This old farmstead is hidden in a beautiful neighborhood. You won't be disappointed to check this place out.

Wonderful experience! A great historic, informative, interactive walking tour! We went with another couple and did the walking tour with a group of approximately 30 people. We learned some very interesting facts about how the land was developed back in 1851! What an amazing idea to have such a great snipit of history made available to the public!

The museum log house is from the mid 1800s. The park surrounding it is beautiful and very well used. Lovely large green area and a great playground

Every time we’ve been, the experience has been great, the staff are friendly and know their stuff. It is a must for us when we have family visiting from outside the province, and is always a hit, even with the teenagers....

Today I took my English class to Seven Oaks House Museum and they absolutely loved it. The staff were so friendly, very knowledgeable and very accommodating to new English speakers. It is free so there is no excuse not to go. Many of my students are planning on bringing their families back to see the museum. Thank you for y our kindness to us.

My wife stumbled on too this place when googling Winnipeg Museums. Nice that they preserved history and maintain house. Sure over the years they could have sold land as it is prime real estate.

Please note the address has changed to 50 Mac Street to reflect the main entrance of the house. The museum is still in the same location.

My first visit to the Museum. It was actually a walking ghost tour organized by the Seven Oaks House and Museum. Due to Covid, we were not allowed in, but were shown all around the building and nearby ghostly haunts, including nearby Bleak House and the monument to the Seven Oaks massacre. Well informed tour guides, one of whom was an author of ' Haunted Winnipeg '. A good experience.
