This is a historical building and a tourist spot. You can visit the building and enjoy the architecture for free. There is a huge lawn surrounding the building and you can see the river behind the building. Nice place for a walk and jog.

During our Study Abroad Programme 2017 from University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad, India. We were very opportune to visit Manitoba State Legislative building at Winnipeg. The entrance has 6 pillars and the other 3 sides have 4 pillars in each side. The most interesting story was to know how those two bison castings were installed inside the building after the roof was constructed. It offers hourly tours and it was very informative. The admission is free and one get an opportunity visit assembly hall and to inspect mace. The building is surrounded by a beautiful park and fountains and sculptures..

Incredible grounds and building, it'll ignite cultic mysticism in anyone who catches a tour and makes a beautiful centerpiece for a Canadian city with a long history. Start a date at the forks and make your way to the gardens and walk around trying to spot all the Egyptian symbols and try to find what some people think is the "Ark of the Covenant"

I was really surprised on how rich this building is marble floors brass everywhere and the also that the materials used have such detail. You do have to sign in with valid ID there are free guided tours and lots of free parking. Also take the time to walk around outside this building and the work that was put into this is really worth the time.

Old buddies fam works here. It's a cool place to visit. Alot of things to look at, but I mostly was here just for the field trip when I was younger. The dome area is pretty cool. But other than that it's a part of history. A pretty old and classy looking building. However, it's a nice place to visit.

The Manitoba Legislative Building is absolutely beautiful. It doesn't take too long to walk around each floor. The inside is as equally breath-taking as the outside. There are plenty of details to admire as you visit each floor and take in the massive structure and its openness. It's very clean and inviting to the public and well kept. There are tours offered, and you may also choose to do a self tour and explore the area by yourself. You'll find plaques with historical information and also gifts from other nations. If you head out back, you'll find a water fountain that is stunning, and if you keep heading further, you'll reach the Assiniboine River Walk that leads to The Forks. Be sure to arrive early though if you're looking for free visitor parking.

Historic building with great stonework. Very well maintained on the outside and gleaming shine on the inside. Giant bronze bison statues. Take a look up and down then you'll see the legislatives mystery. Tours available. Beautiful fountain on the south lawn. Ample parking and close to other downtown historical buildings.

How sad that some of native people destroyed the statues on these grounds. They have taken the focus off the children's graves and put it on their violence and vandalism. July 1, 2021 should have been a day to remember as a memorial to those children - instead it will be remembered as a day the Natives destroyed the statues on these grounds. If they had bothered to study history they would have realized that the Queen did her best to help them. Those poor children have been degraded enough - and now their own people continued the degradation with their destruction and violence. What a shame.

Take the tour! There are so many interesting facts about the architectural design of the building and how some old superstitions were incorporated. It's a beautiful building, easy to access. Parking is near by and the grounds are lovely to wander on afterwards, there are memorials to discover, fountains to see and other historical buildings are near by. A must see in Winnipeg!

My reviews outlining how I've slowly uncovered how many ways employees of tge province has broken Canadian Law in denying me so much of what I am entitled too have thousands of views. I've almost got my mind back. I'd like access to an expense account to cover legal fees I would accrue if I was'nt left to figure out a way from under this mess by myself. It would save ne alot if trouble. As it is, along with the thousands of views on my detailed accounts of how Manitoba works for me under many pseudonyms, including this account, the information, corroborative evidence including names, details of events, agencies involved, right down to spelling out how so much of what the province passes off as normal is actually against the Law here in Canada, is all sorted into a box which will be shared with.....well everyone in the world including people whi watched me fight like a dog to eventually die like one by my own hand within the next couple of years if I get sick of dealing with further nonsense. Not because I want too but because Manitiba will have given me no choice. If you don't want to follow Canadian Law, then succede. Don't try and act like its the average CANADIANS responsibility to tow the line on an anti- Canadian agenda that is very apparently in action behind the closed doors of offices in this building.

The Manitoba Legislative building is an incredible historic site. A public treasure. This building is so much more than government offices. With stunning architecture and a multitude of gorgeous sculptural and painted works, it acts like a public museum. Go and walk around, you won't regret it. The neoclassical building was completed in 1920 and stands seventy-seven meters tall. Frank Worthington Simon was the architect. Construction started in 1913. The present-day Legislative Building was formally opened on 15 July 1920, the 50th anniversary of Manitoba's entry into Confederation. The Golden Boy is a statue perched facing North on the dome of the Manitoba Legislative Building. Golden Boy was actually created in France by sculptor Georges Garden and modeled after a 16th-century sculpture of the Roman god Mercury. The Queen Victoria Statue stands in the grounds of the Manitoba Legislative Building, Winnipeg, Canada. It was designed by the English sculptor George Frampton, it cost $15,000, and was paid for by a mixture of public funds and private donations.

I put my hand in something gross in the grass and was washing it off in the fountain, the staff there asked me to please not "wash myself" in the fountain it's decorative. I pointed out the people bathing their children in it just a few feet away in the same fountain but was told they don't stop them because they don't understand... wow

had a early morning 4 hour layover in Winnipeg, so i walked around downtown and came across this area.. the big buildings design looked interesting but for me the landscape was beautiful.. they had all kinds of plants, flowers and trees.. also never seen so many crows in one location. Also encountered a few aboriginal natives, they were friendly and kind people.

Beautiful building with stunning architecture and green spaces outside. Missed the free tours but there are free self-guide booklets by the entrance, which I was not made aware of by the staff. I only found out when I visited the gift shop at the end of my visit. There is a restaurant inside but is only open until 3:00 pm.
