Good art gallery. We went for the Van Gogh and Monet exhibit and there was a single piece by each artist present which was both exciting, and a bit anticlimactic. We enjoyed the entire experience, but would have appreciated knowing their was only a single piece by each artist. Thursday is their free day, definitely worth going for free.

Denise Reichert

Laura Carolina

Pleasant venue with changing exhibits. Currently, some wonderful works about bears. Interesting bee skep display. Covid-related video exhibit. Some big paintings.

Sarah Joliv (Sven76)

The Art Exhibit in the front of the gallery was the most interesting part. Some amazing works on display here.

Tim Turner

The new sculpture outside the building is a disaster and eyesore. Did the city approve that? Please take that to the landfill where it belongs. So disappointing and mediocre.

Kyle Mitchell

When we visited there was an excellent display of high end art pieces owned by local residents. It was tastefully organized and displayed, despite the eclectic nature of the collections. There was also excellent presentations of weavings and art by local students.

The exhibitions are always changing and there is an art workshop room where families can create their own art! It is a must see when in need for inspiration.

The KAG is a cornerstone of Kelowna - a great sense of community and vibrant creativity. What’s so great about it is that they feature local artists on a regular basis, and are keen on providing workshops and activities that allow for maximum public engagement. Galleries are often seen as a stuffy space, but the KAG is always welcoming and homey. I love walking into their doors and being ushered into the latest exhibition! Also, remember that Thursdays are always free!

As one of the few places to view public art in Kelowna, the Kelowna Art Gallery does an excellent job of keeping a rotation of varied artwork and art-related services. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable (and if they don’t have the answer they’ll do their best to find it)! Admission is at an affordable price, and is completely free on Thursdays!

Skyler Halisky

Lovely space and art

Heather Rusk

It's still pretty little but they have a couple different gallery rooms and this neat program where you can have a little bag of art supplies to make your own art. It looks like they used to have a room to do it in but of course with pandemic problems that's not an option. Great place to visit if you have kids!

Jiman Ryu

Ashley Fulks (Cryptoz)

Every Sunday they have an art activity from 1 to 4 PM. Cost if $5 but the experience is worth it.

It was a lovley show of art but the lady in the gallary toward to second half of our visit -they switched out about half way through- was rather intense on asking us to stop doing things we really weren't doing. "Please don't lean so close to the paintings." Okay but I want to be able to see them... "Please dont gesture so close to the paintings." Okay... But I was nowhere near the painting, I was gesturing toward the information to discuss with my girlfriend. We've been to many art galleries across Canada and we know to show respect. We felt rushed and pushed out, it would have been nice if she would have relaxed a little, or a lot. Sad to see such a wonderful place ruined by harsh staff.

Jake McIlravey

I've visited the Kelowna Art Gallery several times, and have always been so pleased with what's being shown! They do an excellent job supporting local artists without it feeling unprofessional or tacky- all the exhibits would be equally at-home in larger galleries in Vancouver or Toronto. I also appreciate that there's lots of nearby parking (paid, but typically easy-to-find), and the staff have always been friendly :) Highly recommend a visit!

Thank you for everything you do! The Art Gallery is a must see in Kelowna and is such a beautiful building. I can tell a lot of heart and soul went into constructing the Art gallery and it makes me super happy. Right now they have an exhibit called "Bright New World" which is a collection of pieces from local kiddo's. The work these kids have come up with is incredible and highly recommend checking them out because the talent is just awesome! Oh and Thursday evenings are free...still blows me away...with the option to donate to the Art Gallery. Please do so because there is true passion from all of the staff members who put so much time and effort to showcase amazing art from all over the world. Thank you again to the team at the Kelowna Art Gallery! I feel like all the work you do brightens the world we live in! =)

Horrible front reception. I had planned a day with my 74 yr old grandmother to take her to the art gallery. We walked in and asked the male receptionist what was showing today. He did not seem to understand so my grandmother in between breaths (she has copd and has a difficult time catching her breath) asked again. He abruptly, rudely and sharply stopped her mid sentence and said “stop and I’ll tell you”. I was appalled by this horribly rude response from this man. He had no paitients or even an once of respect for my grandmother. We politely took a pamphlet/program of showings and left. I will never return to the kelowna art gallery or recommend this venue as long as this receptionist continues to work there. He is clearly a priveledge male millennial who’s parents failed to teach him common curtsey and respect for the elderly. Being a millennial myself I am absolutely disgusted by the behavior that is representing my generation at the kelowna art gallery. A place that should exude culture, diversity and a passion for the arts at all ages.

Great Family Sunday activities. 5.00 per person and everything supplied. They hinge the activity on the exhibitions so very rewarding for the children to see the original and then their take on the art project.

Brent Forder

Seems like half the space is dedicated to collaborative / educational / workshop space and it could be more of a gallery in my opinion, but the quality of the exhibits is high, the place is clean and the staff seem professional. It's worth a visit... It can be part of a nice date or a way to spruce up a day of wandering around downtown.
