Wonderful place to take a walk with or without your dog. We were greeted by playful chickadees and red tailed squirrels by the marsh boardwalk. There are some really great spots that lookout towards sturgeon lake.

If you love marshlands and birds, this is the place for you. If you are like me who hate driving across town and traffic to get a quiet destination and live on the east side of GTA, this place is a blessing. Marshes, song birds and trails makes this a nature lovers' paradise. Try biking from Lindsay on the rail trail.

We didn't have much time to spend here so we decided to go to the lookout point via the Marsh Boardwalk Trail. It was an overcast day so I'm sure the view wasn't as spectacular as it could've been. Instead of continuing on the Marsh Boardwalk Trail we took Trillium Pass to cut across and go back to the parking lot. There's a lot of mushrooms along the trails which I found interesting.

We came here for a Sunday Morning trail, with some friends. It's a beautiful trail with lot of scenic views. Parking is paid and very reasonable. It also has washrooms. The only negative is there are no options for food here so remember to carry some food and water. Please like my review if you find it helpful.

Beautiful scenery

Ellen Warren

Great place for winter walking

John Corso

Great park

Great place to spend the day. Per car entry price was just raised to $4. Pay at meter at entrance and leave ticket on your dash. Off leash dog park. A number of trails to explore. Keep on trails as there is poison ivy. Those with kids, all trails are easy to navigate. Small playground that is suitable for those 3 years +. Boardwalk over the marsh is beautiful. There also is a trail for those with bikes, ATVs and horses.

Carol P.

Great nature walk for whole family to enjoy.

I took my family on a “Guess Where Trip” called butter tart trail. Although this has nothing to do with butter tarts the walk burnt off the butter tarts I had to this point. Let me start by saying we are non active city folk. When we arrived we parked and the first sign we saw said bears active April to November my city kids didn’t like that. We wanted to go on the marsh boardwalk so we had to move the car to get closer. For city folk the boardwalk was pretty sketchy but we made it through. My daughter thought it would be good to take the longest trail at 2.5km. We made it most of the way and the scenery was beautiful. We saw quite a few people on the trail and even a few bike riders. Parking for the day was four dollars. We didn’t go through the rest of the park but it was a good time.

Nice place with lots of trails! They offer a variety of trails throughout forests, fields, and marshes which give a nice change of scenery. I liked the ones through the marshes and areas with views of the water. Overall found the trails to be pretty easy to walk though, lots of boardwalks and the forest path is clear. Paths are also wide at most areas which is very nice. Dropped by on October 11, spotted fall colour leaves here and there. Parking is $4 for the day, both online and pay meter at the front of the park available. Lots of parking areas located throughout the park, with the ones in the centre of the park within easy walking distance to each other. Nice area to walk for all ages! A mix of longer and shorter trails suitable for everyone. Lots of birds which were lovely.

Aaron Horton

A beautiful area! We love walking our dogs here. Plenty of trails, people seem to actually follow the law and walk their dog on leash. There is also a leash free dog park. Parking is reasonable and easy with the app. Can't say enough good things. Beautiful in the winter, gorgeous in the summer. Can get a little muddy in the spring, but it's still worth it.

Natalie Litvak

Great dog park and nice trails. A bit buggy so pick your timing accordingly

Very positive. Enjoyed the calmness. Silence.

This place is not very nice. I see used condoms in the parking lots frequently and beer cans and bottles everywhere. Lots of litter as well. Poachers and the white bucket crowd always fishing the bridge on the bike trail constantly over fishing and leaving litter behind and taking out of season fish. I very rarely see wild life here and I take my dog walking here often. The only wildlife I usually see is snakes that people have killed along the bike path or turtles run over by 4 wheelers. Occasionally I might see a squirrel. I do hear grouse sometimes though. Also it would be nice if this place supported Fleming students by supplying summer jobs to those students in need. Anyway, the only thing nice about this place is the trillium's. That is what the single star is for.

Don't even attempt to walk this trail without bug spray. It is a beautiful trail where you can easily spend several hours. Parts are in the woods and other parts are more open and you can feel the wind and sun.

I was going to hold my wedding at the park but unfortunately due to a likely chance of rain I had to cancel the booking. I was provided with wonderful customer service, fast replying and even given a full refund for not being able to attend. The park is beautiful and a wonderful place to host any family event.

There are regular dog owners who show up at this park who grill you on you and your dogs and make you feel unwelcome or they report anything about you.

Spent a great afternoon here hiking the trails. Note that there are directional arrows indicating which way you're supposed to hike the trails, we didn't know this ahead of time as we hadn't encountered something like that before on other trails. The trails were fairly well maintained and an enjoyable hike but there are lots of roots so it can be easy to trip. Also note that there are lots of friendly chickadees that will come right up to your hand to feed so if you bring some bird seed you might be able to make a new chickadee friend! (we didn't even have birdseed although we wish we did, but they said hello anyways!)

Robert O'Connell

Area is well kept! Too much ice on the ground to get too far without the proper gear.

Leonardo Ruppenthal

I was only there for an hour on a cold April day, so this is an interim review. But in that short time, I realized that this is a special place. The hauntingly lonely playground my kids discovered may be dated, but the view of Goose Bay is spectacular. I spotted over ten species of bird, a large snake, and heard the thrashing of an unidentified mammal in the brush. The place was practically deserted on a Saturday morning, but the few people I met were friendly. Roads are horribly rutted and make for slow driving. Can't wait to go back and explore this park!

Perfect place for dogs

Andrew McCrea

Great spot with very friendly birds who like to be fed, right from your hand. Easy hikes!

Chris Allen

Nice hiking/biking trails

Natasha Minaeva

Such a great hike! I especially liked that landscape changes often, you can walk in the dense forest and be in the middle of the field in a minute, beautiful lake views, and, I think, you can swim there in summer. It was also great to see interpretive signage for kids made by local library and dog off leash park at the entrance. Highly recommend to visit!

Gabriela

If you are cottaging nearby, this is a nice family friendly hiking spot. Lots of trails two are looping at 2.5 km.. the rest are smaller ones.... There's a nice marshy area and lookout... There's a nice walkway through the marsh... There's ok cover out of the summer sun... It connects to the long rail trail... Great for a family with kids

Katherine Perrault

Paul

Always great area! My only complaint is some of the signage isn't clear on the trails. More of the signs should have arrows pointing in specific directions, maps along routes should have a "Your Are Here" star. Other than that, lots to see on these trails. Have to pay a small fee for parking, but worth it for quality of the area.
