Very nice museum at pier 21. A tribute to all the immigrants that arrived in Canada by ship. They were revived at pier 21 for over 60 years.

Very interesting place to discover. It's not easy to create a museum on this type of subjects but HRM has been capable to do it. I would recommend to watch the film, the best thing for me.

I have been Canadian Museum of Immigration. You can understand the history of immigration as well as you might have a time to consider what is meaning of immigration. I think that it is excellent place to have a discussion with your kids.

Although the plaza in general isn't the prettiest, it has a real train rolling stock which adds to the history of Pier 21 (you can learn about how the railroad contributed to the transportation of millions of immigrants). There are also a few statues and plaques to learn more about immigrants too.

If there is only one thing I could have done in Halifax, it would be Pier 21. It was a great opportunity to learn about the history of immigration in Canada. Take a tour to start and then explore on your own. My visit took at least three hours. You also can take a citizenship test for fun to see how you would have done.
