This is one of the beautiful park in the middle of downtown Halifax. Amazing place to enjoy your coffee, or relaxing on the grass, and kids can enjoy on the playground all the day.

Great place across from the Westin to take your kids to the park. Lots of swings, climbers and slides. One unsightly piece of equipment was sticking out of the ground covered with a pylon unsecured. Pretty unsafe! …

Felix Croc

It's... a park. It's got a playground and a couple of nice statues, as well as many benches all around it. I don't really know what else you'd want from a small park.

Without a doubt the most shameful spot in Halifax. A city that turns on its founder because its amnesiac politicians cannot mount a decent argument in favour of their own history leaves much to be desired. Without process, the statue of …

My niece who is 7 will not leave this playground. It's got so many funky places for her to run and jump on. Also, she correctly pointed out that it is in the shape of a train, which is worth big points.

The Edward Cornwallis Park lights at night are so beautiful! Even to just drive by. When the snow falls it makes for a great photo opp. The statue being gone makes the park feel like it's missing something space wise.

Alicia Mollica

There's an ungodly statue of a man who commited genocide on the local aboriginal people put up on a pedistool being presented as a hero. It's like placing a statue of Hitler in a park whereany Jews & people of color frequent.

Gregg

Nice little spot for lunch more than 6 months of the year when the weather is good

Hind Shakeeb

Zuby S

A great place. It has good space for skating, skateboarding and cycling for kids.

Jeannette Rogers

Great place for kids to play on equipment. I don't like the fact that the statue of Edward Cornwallis has been taken down.

DP Steyn

Cute little park to cool your jets while you wait for your bus or train, have a picnic, or just a little stroll. Wouldn't want to be around too late at night alone though.

(Translated) Nice children's park with shops for adults and families around. Decorated with a work of art in homage to Ukrainian immigration, it is unfortunately populated by strange people who have established a camp there. …

Apart from the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the name of this park and the terrible acts perpetrated by its namesake, the park is a beautiful greenspace in the south end of the city. It's very peaceful and many parents bring their children there to play.

Claude Elliott

Great place to go for a walk when visiting Halifax

Taylor Arbuckle

Great playground, very progressive of the city to remove the statue, close to good busses, a superstore, and a train station, and the park itself is quite big with things to appeal to most peoplez a playground, benches, and a nice train theme

Tyler Ford

Chrïs

Great little playground with swings and slides and a neat set that resembles a train. The ground is a soft rubber that does heat up on hot days so bare feet become impossible. There's no water fountains either so make sure to bring some since there's so much to do, kids tend to want to stay extra long.

Carlos Morales

Mobile Oppression Palace

Such a shame they had to remove that statue to satiate a loud minority. As a newcomer to Canada and a tourist to Halifax, I find the idea of having a statue of that great city’s founder by its civic gateway of sorts—it being by the train …

David Boyd

Great place to relax and enjoy a family picnic or an outdoor lunch break, close Hotel and businesses core.

Valerie Spidle Davis

Kept very clean.....children love the play equipment. No garbage to be seen. No animal feces. No pea gravel to fall on. All rubber lay for safety. Shade from surrounding trees.

How is this park still called Cornwallis Park? They had this whole controversy about the statue of Cornwallis and then they took it down, but the park name remains? Weird.

Great park for everyone. The ground is thale foam padding, there's a regular swing, a baby swing and an saucer swing. A bunch of differed slides and spinning structures. And, seating for parents.

One of Halifax's MANY fine "green spaces". Good place to bring the whole family, even the youngest, or just relax and enjoy. Right by the Westin, the train and bus stations, and the waterfront. Halifax is SOOOO fortunate to have so many lovely little places to relax in, like this.

Jayne Hallinan

David

This park is much better without Cornwallis. Great playground!

Mikayla Arsenault

Beautiful park

Villagemayor

Overall a pleasant park to stroll through but also a message of people coming together through friendship and reflection

Brian Lager (Sandylns)

One of the only green spaces left in down town Halifax. A nice intimate area much appreciated by residents and tourists alike. Located adjacent to the Westin and CN station.

N Booker

Sometimes this park is beautiful (especially after sunset). I love seeing the dogs run around and the play structure being used. I have noticed that the park has had an even more lively atmosphere with the new businesses that have appeared on South. I’m really happy that there is a decent, urban park in my neighbourhood.

Come here all the time with my wife and baby. We like it because it is close and the water is great.

Not a bad little pokenest. Has an EX gym in it too, so make sure to get a raid in if you are looking for a pass. A recently updated playground on site so of you are the kids having kind of folk you can do that too. Minus one star for being named after a mass murderer.

Bobbi Zahra
