One of the old batteries at beautiful Point Pleasant Park. There are benches on the site and a great view of the mouth of Halifax Harbour. Has a few canons to give it the mood, though there are no visible remains of the battery.

Just a few walls and a scattering of old cannons remain of this fortification, as a reminder of the fact that HAlifax was founded as, and still remains a major navel port which had to be defended by whatever means each era afforded. The BEACH here is very nice also, with lovely grass and sand to relax upon. Very popular spot, and well it should be!!
