Your flavor selection of ice cream is too limited. I was very disappointed last year and this year.

This is a great stop when In Musquodoboit. The railway museum details the history of the rail in the area, and there are several old rails cars on tracks for you to view. This time of year, they also have a make-shift Christmas tree made out of lobster tracks. In the summer, they have an ice cream stand at the front of the property. There are picnic tables to have a lunch near the old train cars and it is such a beautiful and peaceful place.

Marc Hayes

My first job was a museum guide here when I was 16, and it gave me an interest in history as well as experience dealing with customer service. I definitely have good memories of this place and always love taking a visit in the summer and seeing what new artifacts have been donated. This is a gem in the community

This isn't a place I would make a special trip for, but if you're on your way to Martinique beach, it's worth a stop. Kids in particular will enjoy the old rail car that you can explore the inside of. The museum itself is pretty basic but still interesting and totally free.

This is an awesome little historical spot in our small village of Musquodoboit Harbour! You can hop on one of the old trains, check out the micro museum, and it is also a great place to jump on the walking trail, grab a coffee across the street or an icecream at the ice cream shack!

Been here a few times but this time there was beer from sober island brewing

An excellent stop to learn a bit about the history of the railroad that once travelled through the region, and has since been replaced by the excellent rail trail. I highly recommend ending a trip on the rail trail here with the nearby ice cream shop! Just be aware that they are very anti-ice-cream in the museum and you cannot combine these two activities ;)

I've grown up around the museum, and always enjoy the many events that take place in the museum and around the grounds. A real village square that is open and used by so many local residents and visitors.

The train Museum is a beautiful spot to experince the" back in the day life of railroads" my grandson is a 3 yr old (Thomas) train fanatic and was only able to get on couple trains...apparently last year there was vandelism done to the others and now you are not able to go aboard them which is a real drag...I wish they would fix them so he could get to see more of them inside....maybe some day... But overall we hung around for a cple hrs and enjoyed the trains and trail just the same...
