If you are looking for art, crafts and authentic locally made items this is is a massive do not miss. Been here twice and I'm always impressed by the kindness and service with reasonable pricing. Great water view, food, we spent too long here and messed up some plans for the day

Offer free Wi-Fi with a nice calm harbour view , priceless. Relaxing. Public parking. Over night wifi (cant get wifi just anywheres in the middle of the night)

Picture perfect fishing village with the Halifax waterfront as it's backdrop. The sunsets here are magical!

This is an attraction for those that are interested in little shops. It makes for some nice photo ops because of the colorful shop buildings and fishing gear in the area.

Laura Bonner

Nice area, but not wheelchair accessible. The ramps have drop off that can send people out of there chairs or cause damage to a 4 thousand dollar chair. The stores even the staff in stores saw the chair and gave us a look don't come in here.

Angela Rafuse

Fisherman's Cove is one of most popular places in the city, for good reason. Today was the official opening for the season and it was lovely. Perfect weather for walking the boardwalks and exploring the many new shops. It's easy to spend an entire afternoon here and still not see everything. The food available is excellent, as well.

Tina Boutilier

Great place to walk ..lounge... enjoy a beautiful day. Shop..

Krista Whitehouse

A lovely spot to visit for the day. Lots of local shops, restaurants, ice cream shops. A beautiful boardwalk that wraps along the shoreline facing Lawlors Island and McNabs Island. From here, you can also catch the McNabs Island Ferry to McNabs for a day of exploring the island.

Valerie SaltwaterVal

Such a quaint, charming place to visit, unique shops and easily accessible if handicapped

Marc Charbonneau

Fisherman’s Cove in Eastern Passage is a great hidden gem of a spot in Halifax. There are quite a few stores selling local art. Also several choices for eating. On a hot day like today, you can’t go wrong with an ice cream. If you are in the area mid-August, go down for the annual Tallahassee Days to celebrate being a pirate or mermaid princess.

Raquel Chubey

Great spot. Love that it just on outskirts of dartmouth. Wonderful for kids and it helps to have ice and shops right there.

Les James

Nice row of stores nestled in a picturesque setting.

Ashley Bell

Great shops and the locals are so friendly. Nice boardwalk, with great views!

Claire Yu

Fun place to walk around and shop souvenirs

Chris Thain

Lots of craft shops and a few places for food and treats. Dockside Donuts is a highlight - head to the end of the craft area. First building you pass on the way in is a museum and worth seeing. *Note that the end of the docks is an active fishing area and not a tourist show. Stay out of the way if you see the lads working!

Dawna McGladrie

Such a nice little place to visit. It has a variety of little shops including hand crafts, a candy shop with ice cream, a restuarant and an art gallery. There is a restaurant and a newly added fixed and floating dock so boaters can access the area for lunch or sight seeing. There is a very nice Memorial to local Fisherman's and it is right beside McCormack Beach.

Mindalynn Frelick

It might have been because it was a cloudy day but there were not a lot of people around. I did try the food at a restaurant in the area and it was great!

Hector Loranca

A nice place to stop for souvenirs and ice cream by the sea.

Thomas Rogers

Beautiful area with beaches, ferries, rentals for activities and many shops and eateries. Definitely recommend visiting this area I'd you are in Halifax and want to slow things down and enjoy a more casual atmosphere. Area is well kept and clean and there is an information building with washrooms giving you everything you can find, or you can walk the area which is more friendly for pedestrians than cars. Parking at the beach is highly recommended.

Taida Marczak

Had amazing ice cream in little store at the end. Definitely would like to come back and explore more.

Jolly Roger

A great spot for a stroll. The old fashioned boardwalk has gift shops and restaurants theming with the fishing culture and pirate fashion. The sandy beach and wetland offers kids a natural playground.

Tara Dunnett

Such a peaceful and beautiful place

De Mera

Such an easy drive from Halifax and what a fun place to visit! The shops are adorable, with so many unique items and the staff are so friendly! The board walk is great for all ages. The beach is near by for a stroll and for beach combing but not a great place to swim. We didn’t go to the restaurant but it was very busy when we were there in September. We will definitely be coming back to do some Christmas shopping.

nick s

Great place to shop / fish /walk

Nicholas Senechal

Great mix of restored village, speciality stores, restaurant and working fishing port with stunning views and ferries to McNabs and other islands as well as a nature walk. Small museum tells story of Eastern Passage community. Relaxed.

Ron Lynch

Pirate Festival time at Fishermen's Cove! Aug 21 and 22. Live bands, colourful pirates, and weapon demonstrations. All venues open and kid friendly. Due to Covid, advertising has been suppressed to keep the numbers down, so parking and access not a problem. Masks required when entering a shop, but otherwise social distancing is not a problem. Second day had belly dancers and live mermaids added to the mix!! Experience shows the 2nd day to be the best time to stop in . . . Next year! ???? Usually same weekend in or around August 21.

Carol Beuree

Unique little shops. I love anything on the ocean. Best fish and chips.

Andrew Baird

Great outdoor band playing music on the boardwalk.

Lynn Smith

Great spot to spend a couple hours poking around for some one of a kind treasures! The shop owners are as unique and lovely as the items they sell! Be sure to add this stop to your list if you are in the area.

Courtney Jarus

Recently bought a house in Eastern Passage and we are in love with Fisherman's Cove! Friendly people, great selection of shops, and a beautiful boardwalk!
