Here you will be able to see all the opinions of people like you who have information of the services of Atlantic Canada Aviation Msm (Museum) in the area of Halifax (Canada).
At this moment this firm has a score of 4.6 stars over 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is virtually the top, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we may think that the evaluation is quite credible. If people have bothered to value when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Museum is classified in the category of Museum.
(Translated) Ordinary Aviation Museum. (Original) Musée de l'aviation ordinaire.
If you like airplanes: There's lots of history of military, civilian aviation, airlines, Coast Guard helicopters, in detail. Actual airplanes, models, with lots of explained details everywhere. Even historical information about the Halifax airport, including its involvement with 9 Eleven. Plan on spending an hour or two. Completely run by volunteers, entrance by donation. They deserve a good one. Only negative - lack of space, planned are tightly packed in. They need at least three times the space. (¯`·._.·Nscave·._.·´¯)®️
It's a great place for you if you are an aviation enthusiast. They've got actual planes and helicopters you can explore and your visit is absolutely free, no entrance fee. They allow you to look into the cockpits, peek in through the windows of these planes and helicopters, roam around them and take pictures. The museum itself is not very large and the planes are stacked too close to each other and some even on top of each other. If the same amount planes were displayed in a much larger setting, it would be even better. But overall, it's a good experience. Don't miss it if you are passing by and love airplanes.
I saw this Museum on Discovery Channel..!????????
Great little museum, excellent hobby shop too
Impressive for little old Halifax. Great breadth of aeroplanes over the history of aviation.
Attended the Family Fun Day yesterday and was impressed by this little gem tucked away in the trees. Well done!
Amazing how much they have here, well done and great presentation.
Lots of great Canadian aviation history stuffed into a very small space. Very much worth a voluntary donation!
Get a guided tour through the museum, it's worth it! The staff are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I am impressed with how many airplanes they managed to arrange in such a small space. Also, a third of the gift shop is filled with donated model airplane kits from people's collections, so you never know what you'll find!
fun museum. good value also a nice family attraction.
Brilliant place to visit and learn more about Aviation history in Halifax and Canada overall.
Small museum with alot to offer. If your interested in avaition, this museum has interesting displays and well cataloged history.
Very interesting , we were more excited than our kids.
Very limited hrs
Had lots of fun , great for aviation enthusiasts of all ages
a hidden gem! a fascinating collection, and a great gift shop!
My son and I enjoyed the experience... Lots of great aircraft and things to see.
What an amazing place, every so often I love to go in and see there amazing displays, not to mention the lovely staff. Personally my two favorites to go see are the Canadair CF-104 starfighter and the amazing golden hawks Canadair Sabre. ** IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MODEL KITS** this is the place the be! The selection they have is one of the best I've seen along with the tools and paints you may need.
Just amazing! I could have spent all day there. Just incredible. Can't wait to go back.
What an amazing place to visit, I always drove by that jet parked outside growing up and thought it was really cool, but little did I know there was a incredible Museum hiding behind the trees!! I strongly recommend visiting especially if you're into second world war era aircraft!
(Translated) Great experience (Original) Gran experiencia
Good enough, but they should have a plane simulation or something to make the place more interesting!
Support local and visit this place to learn something about planes
Out of the way. Great staff
I visited last year, and there is one display in particular that stole the show for me. It's a cut-away view of a piston rotary engine that moves in slow motion when you press a pedal to start an electric motor. VERY cool to see how the parts work together! There are some jet engines also, and many interesting technical displays, as well as historical information for the history buffs. There is even an actual used Space Shuttle tire. Well worth the $10 suggested donation. Free parking on-site.
The museum is run by volunteers and takes dontlations for entry. Staff were super friendly. The sheer number of planes, engines, parts, weapon systems, models, and memorabilia is staggering. You could probably spend an entire 8 hour day there, spend the entire time in awe, and not see everything they have to offer. Absolutely fantastic.
(Translated) Superb museum, an important part of the history of the province, Canada and aviation. Friendly and welcoming staff. There is even a hang glider! (Original) Superbe musée, un pan important de l'histoire de la province, du Canada et de l'aviation. Personnel chaleureux et accueillant. Il y a même un deltaplane !
Awesome museum, lots of places and helicopters, and tons of info about Canada's aviation history. The gift shop has hundreds of model kits too.
Nice little museum. Admission by donation. A huge amount of model aircraft kits for sale. Plan for about 45 minutes there unless you are a huge aircraft buff, then plan for a few hours.
Free for July and August, it worth it ! A lot of airplanes, helicopters and airplane motors. It was so cool. Planned an hour, easily, to visit the museum. The only negative point is the shop, they don't have enough RCAF stuff ????♀️
Nice people and the museum was very peaceful.
Love this place!
Excellent exhibition of Atlantic Canada's history of flight. Very friendly and informative staff - he got a lot of stories to tell!
Lots to see. Well documented exhibits. Well stocked gift shop.
A wonderful place to spend an hour or two on a Saturday. About a two-minute drive from the exit for Halifax International Airport.
It was closed
Lots of planes to look at and read about. A few planes for kids to get into and look around. Entrance is free but donations are encouraged.
Very neat museum with lots of old planes, dioramas, uniforms, and history to explore.
Visited on our way home through YHZ. Easy to find as it’s just across the hwy from YHZ. Well worth a visit to see many different aspects of Canadian and Atlantic aviation history. Amongst many displays, they also have a Sabre “Golden Hawk”, a PBY and oh, yeah - a freakin’ German V1 Buzzbomb from WW2. Have never seen one before and most likely will never see another. Would love to have had a photo riding it like Slim Pickens... Anyhow, like any small museum, they need your support so spend a few bucks, a few hours and explore this great place!
This place is really cool!
Great museum full of aviation treasures and stories. Always worth a visit!
You drive by this museum! It has a great Jet outside a small building. Take the time to go around into their parking lot. There is another huge building. Inside you will find airplane history with a great exhibition space of intrigue. The fee is donate what you can afford. A wonderland for children! They can climb into airplane cockpits!
Simply one of the best aviation museums I've ever been to. Lived in Nova Scotia for twenty years and never actually visited. Don't make my mistake! Wonderful collection of aircraft and artifacts and very well maintained considering they run on donations and volunteers. The museum is only a stone's throw from Halifax International Airport, and right off the highway. You have no excuse not to visit. Help keep this treasure open by visiting, making a donation and buy some souvenirs in the nicely stocked gift shop. Aviation buffs and modellers take note, they have an extensive stock of books and model kits. Keep up the great work!

Awesome place to go with your kids.
Planes were great..nice to go in some cockpits and sit in airplane seats
Great little museum for any and all aviation fans - highly recommend checking it out!
Keep this magnificent place going please. A thin slice of Canadian Aviation History with the one and only Attic Aircraft
Was pleasantly surprised at this small but very interesting museum.
Free admission, donation welcome. Nice to visit when raining outside
Great and surprising place. Entry and guide tour are free. The staff are knowledgeable. The most surprising part is how many aircrafts they were able to fit in this small building. This place is a most.
Awesome collection, in great shape. The Jetstar in particular is great to see, good to see how the PM got around!
This was an unplanned stop as we were unaware that it was there. Once we got there my hhusband was in heaven as he builds model airplanes and is a huge history buff. The admission is by donation and it is all volunteer run. It was well worth stopping for.
Very nice. Lots of history.
Awesome place kids love it and it's by donation to get in ????
Nice museum with several restoration projects in progress
Learned a lot. Love it!
It was ok. Gift shop was best. Good for young kids they can have closer look at planes chopper. We liked the vintage cars that was there for an occasion meet.
Great museum. Nice exhibits.
Staff is very knowledgeable, beautiful collection, and a cute gift shop! A must to stop in!
Great spot to kill some time before flight leaves. Tons of cool planes, aviation history and the gift shop has some awesome models and such for any aviation enthusiast. Admission is by donation as its run by volunteers, but $8 a person is what's suggested.
(Translated) Very beautiful museum, the hangar is impressive. it is worth stopping there. (Original) Très beau musé, le hangar est impressionnant. ça vaut la peine de s'y arrêter.
Great stop for my family. Not busy and informative. My husband really enjoyed it. Friendly staff.
Great place to visit. Donation basis at museum.
Nice collection - largely of more recent aircraft. A few older ones which is nice to see. Several engines and missles to look at - not all museums have this.
Pleasant experience and purchase.
Quite a large collection of aircraft on display
Awesome experience.
Few goocd pieces of history there
Absolutely fantastic, they've expanded their inventory and everything looks beautifully taken care of. Worth a visit if you're coming to NS.
Fabulous very interesting.
Nice museum packed with exhibits
It was awesome the kids loved it
(Translated) Interesting museum. They do not have the funding from Ottawa, but the information is present and complete. (Original) Intéressant musée. C'est sur qu'ils n'ont pas le financement de celui d'Ottawa, mais l'information est présente et complète.
I took my 2 year old son and we had a great time. There was so much to see and experience with all the displays and all by donation. A must see for anyone interested in aviation or just looking for something to do.
Great displays and lots of information.
Absolutely a great place to visit if you're ever in that neighborhood. A great history to learn about our aviation era. Super pleasant staff. A must if you are passing by.
Nice place to go when you wait for flight or just drive by, as it has quite a collection and few visitors there. Learn that Halifax airport took most diverted flights in 911 terror attack. I always thought it was Newfoundland airport but... Bought 3 plane models to support the museum: they have a big collection or inventory of plane models, either for display or for assembly.
Really great collection of aircraft and models representing aviation in Canada.
Nice place. Looks much smaller than actually is
Great place, staff are very welcoming, huge assortment of planes, engines, models, displays... admission by donation... definitely a worthwhile stop!
Went to this place when I was a kid and it was nice to bring my son to see it. Place has not changed much over the years but very nice to see the assortment of planes. Best part was seeing the tire off a space shuttle.
Really enjoyed it
Great museum but sadly closed for the season. Looking forward to visit again in 2018
Great place to spend a few hours if you're into aviation!
