This museum is a gem in Knowlton. My two young boys were very impressed by the old war artifacts and stories. Take the time and stay for a picnic outside after or before your visit. This is a cool place for the whole family of you are around town.

This quaint museum has a large number of interesting artifacts that they work hard at preserving. The curator has staged a number of interesting exhibits and the local speakers are interesting. A wonder part of this museum is the section devoted to children. An area that the kids can feel at ease exploring the way it was in the community over 100 years ago. Very popular. And of course their is the Fokker airplane on view.Lots of interesting things to see and explore.

Including one of the rare aircraft of 1914-1918, a Faukker (similar to the plane of Baron Rouge, one wing less), German helmets as in the cinema ... All displayed with taste, next to a building that included a class of school as at the time (ti wooden bench, blackboard ...). The young curator (responsible for the museum) is clearly passionate and knows the history of his objects. It's fun to see and hear. In addition, the village is very picturesque composed of all its old-style houses with wood paneling ... (Original) Magnifique page d'histoire que ce petit musée dans un petit village. Les artefacts exposées ont quelques choses d'unique qu'on ne retrouve pas dans les grands musées. Incluant un des rares avion de 1914-1918, un Faukker (similaire à l'avion du Baron Rouge, une aile en moins), des casques allemands comme au cinéma... Le tout exposé avec goût, à côté d'un bâtiment qui inclus une classe d'école comme à l'époque (ti banc de bois, tableau noir...). Le jeune conservateur (responsable du musée) est clairement un passionné et connaît l'histoire de ses objets. Ça fait plaisirs à voir et à entendre. De plus, le village est très pittoresque composé de toutes ses maisons aux allures d'autrefois avec boiseries...
