It's an ok place

Old Aylmer has many offerings for a pleasant visit. Lots of amenities such as restaurants shops etc. It has a few historical landmarks for people that are interested in history. I enjoy history and learning about the past. The Symmes Inn Museum is a nice historical landmark and the surrounding grounds are nice. I have yet to go inside but plan on it eventually. ????????

Wc on site, parking in front, very welcome. Museum on a human scale. Exceptional location. Pleases adults as well as children. (Translated) Beautiful little museum on the history of the region, near the marina. Ideal for a stop in the area, there is a park not far that is also interesting and the bike path passes nearby. You can also take a walking tour in the area to learn more about the neighborhood, there is a map at the entrance of the museum. This completes the visit according to me. Museum free but voluntary contribution appreciated. My photos are taken right next to the museum. (Original) Beau petit musée sur l'histoire de la région, tout près de la marina. Idéal pour une halte dans le coin, il y a un parc pas loin qui est intéressant aussi et la piste cyclable passe tout près. On peut aussi faire un circuit pédestre dans le secteur pour en apprendre plus sur le quartier, il y a un plan à l'entrée du musée. Cela complète la visite selon moi. Musée gratuit mais contribution volontaire apprécié. Mes photos sont prises juste à côté du musée.

Most museums are closed over the weekends. This one stands out. It is free entrance just across the marina. A place to go when touring Gatineau.
