Here we offer you the information of real people like you who are buying the products of Waverly Beach Park (Museum) in Fort Erie (Canada).
To this day this business has a score of 4.3 over 5 and the rating has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is good, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the score is quite credible. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Museum is included in the category of Park.

Nice view. I love it !!!

Super, any time of year!

Water quality is no longer monitored and the beach has a lot of washed up seaweed and shells to walk on. Benefits are that it isn't very busy and on good days the water is nice and it doesn't get deep too fast but deep enough it is still fun

So serene....loved it

Fabulous atmosphere and the food was incredible... Even the bread appetizers were the best I've ever had at any restaurant...

Please visit the museum, there is so much to learn about Fort Erie ???????? sadly what once was a gem today is only rubble. The park began in 1885 as Snake Hill Grove, and was a simple picnic area in the woods along the lake. In 1887, rail service began from a dock at the foot of Bertie Street on the Buffalo & Fort Erie Ferry Railway, which continued until the day the amusement park closed. The railway was known by passengers as the "Sandfly Express". The park saw modest growth until 1910, when major rides were added, and a stadium and hotel were also built.

Very beautiful place to walk around and the scenery is top 10, Awesome

A lot cleaner than it has been in the past. Beach was well raked and clear of dead fish and sea weed. The boulders in the water make for difficult swimming, though. Nice benches and picnic tables in the grassy area, clean washrooms, too.

Nice peaceful park

Beautiful, the kids had fun on the beach

Nice place to walk

Nice clean beach just done small broken shells along the shore.

Beautiful park and woods, right alongside the beach. Picnic tables, washrooms and even has a bike repair station if your riding the Friendship Trail.

its a great place. it's to bad that all the people from out of town have come and leave there garbage all throughout the woods and in the park.this is why the municipalities have residents only rules.i wish they had it here.!!! don't come here if you can't respect it

Pull up a bench and soak up some rays are sunup and listen to the waves gently roll into the shore. Amazing view.

Love this place!

Not too busy. Weather was great and my dog didn't poop.

Was nice quiet and peaceful

Sadly can’t swim due to bacteria.

Zero Star! Thats it. A total garbage beach park and full of sewage smell. Most of the clean beach area covered by Private Property which is not accessible to public. Do not bother visiting ever. Went there because of full capacity at Crystal beach. Mistake!!

Beautiful waterfront trail.

Nice place for a walk... I wouldn't swim here.. but alot of people take there dogs here for a swim... it has the crumbled old remains of the boardwalk.. which I am also told is an old dance hall that use to stand along the lake/ beach... take the wife or dog for a walk and check it out sometime..

If you're looking for a basic diner in a park type setting this is it.

Great sandy beach with public washrooms :)

Waverly Beach Park is a great location to take friends, family and your dog. The walking trails go through some of the historic remains of what used to be there and signs indicate what you are looking at. The park trails are a popular place for dogs but quiet enough that you can avoid other dogs if your dog doesn't like to make friends. There is parking at the main beach or at the other entrance along the trail closed to Fort Erie Beach. The waterfront trail takes you from one end down to the beach and back again. Small ruins/remains of buildings are a great place to explore or adventure in whilst learning about the area. The park also has a nice grass area where families will BBQ together or just hang out in the shade while others walk down to the beach. You can still be visible if swimming from this grass area which makes it a good spot for those not looking to take much sun. Overall a very nice local beach that tourists don't know enough about to bother visiting.

There's a nice little beach here and public washrooms. There are concrete ruins of the buildings that once graced the shoreline. And along the public walkway, there are plaques with photos and descriptions of the attractions and structures that were there decades ago. Unfortunately, the wooded area is scheduled to be turned into a residential area so a walk through the paths there will technically be trespassing since it's now private property.

Beautiful but smelly. If only the town kept up on the seaweed that goes onto beach. The park is nice and the walkway is very educational. But now there are signs for new developments going up. Which is sad as it will take away the serenity of the over all landscape.

Beautiful!! Get out here and check it out before they develop it and ruin it!

Enjoyable place to stroll

It was a nice little beach with a short bike trail great for small kids. Only complaints was that the day I went there was a horrible smell and green algae in the water. We didnt go in.

This place is very calming and pretty. I love to walk here with friends and family and just soak in the nature!

Nice quiet beach.

Beautiful, just wish the bathrooms were open in the winter

We had a wonderful day at the beach. The grandchildren enjoyed a picnic lunch, making sandcastle and cooling off in the water.

Beautiful place to spend time

Heartbreaking seeing all the development and the fenced off or signed off areas.

Town needs to clean up cement slabs and old fencing but can't beat the lake and fun outside.

Nice and clean.

Beautiful park! Nice trails

This is a beautiful, peaceful, and wonderful bit of nature along the northern edge of Lake Erie, in Fort Erie, Ontario... just across the border from Buffalo, NY.

Nice place for a short walk. Interesting information on the amusement park that used to be there. Too bad the adjacent area is soon to be a housing development.

Beautiful spot on Lake Erie. Great for a walk or a family picnic

This beach is beautiful. All visitors should be aware of the Historic Monument and Signs along the Broadway Trail.

This beach is beautiful! The only downside (which is quite significant) is that the water is not regulated. Unfortunately, we didn't see the sign until we were leaving.

Beautiful

Beautiful spot to relax!

Nice beach....not overly crowded.

The place was stinking with very bad smell all over the place. We left immediately!

Nice small beach, some days have a lot of seaweed though.

Roadtrip. Quiet beach park, just a minutes away by car from Niagara Falls area. Beautiful view, sand and shells under your feet. Water shallow and cool in the middle of June.

Perfect place for a quiet walk along the shore.

Absolutely gorgeous scenery and a calm relaxing environment

Great place to walk with the family. Just wish people would abide by the rules and have the respect to keep their dogs on a leash.

A scenic view with plenty of history. Parking is limited to maybe 20 or so spots. There are slabs of old concrete from the amusement park and the old hotel everywhere. The beach is sand. Amenities are closed due to covid. Great location near the friendship trail! Enjoyed walking through the woods and along the old ruins, concrete slabs, a concrete breakwall and foundations litter the area. Those parts aren't ideal for younger children. Clearly teenagers have been partying in the woods and in the old structures. Still, the park itself is nice to visit.

Great beach on Lake Eerie. Good parking, great views.

Pretty beach. Clean and family friendly.

Good place to sit by the beach

Nice place to visit.

We'll kept park

The beach is not bad, but a lady keeps in kicking out people from some areas of the beach saying that it is privet property, ridiculous!

Nice quiet place to sit and take in some fresh air. I only wish the walk was longer. Ideal for a good short walk and awesome scenery.

Great historic place

nice view

This small beach is perfect for family with young children. The water is swallow and crystal clear. A beautiful place to discover... To see many other beautiful places follow me @ifajardo87

Beautiful beach.

Love this little beach! It is very clean this year, kids loved it!

The Waverly Beach park is conveniently located on the Friendship Trail, making it a great place to stop if you're riding or if you want a picnic on the beach. Normally clean and with public washrooms available during the summer season. For cyclists, there's a place to pump your tires and tune up your bike. The relatively small size of the beach area explains why I didn't give a 5 star review. Still a good place to spend a day in any weather.

Nice trails for walking the dog and for watching the sunset.

Cute, small but nice area.

Great Beach, wonderful park

Ample parking and under the trees so the cars are in shaded areas. Sandy beach, water is warm and clear, park benches to sit on with trees to shade you.

Beautiful, family-friendly park in lovely Fort Erie.

Love taking my dogs here

Get here and enjoy this area soon, all the trees will be cut down soon and condos built :(

Great beach and walking area

Relaxing place to rest

White sands, paddle boarding and chilling.

Nice quiet spot

Beautiful park.

So cool at night

Nice park

What a beautiful place with such history! We love walking the trails and my boys love to play in the sand on the beach. Great place!

Nice to walk but the odour from the lake is disgusting.

Good therapy

Beautiful walking paths and Friendship Trail along Lake at mouth of Niagara River. Historic old dance hall remnants of early 1900,s

Family friendly, soft sand, fishy smell but bearable, water is not cold not warm. Very quiet and beautiful view.

A great place to walk, sit & relax or take photos

Good and smaller beach. We went on a week day and it wasn’t crowded. Sand until your waist when wading out. I would recommend. Water is fairly warm. Certainly warmer than Lake Ontario

Nicely tree'd park and birding and butterfly destination. Plenty of parking and clean seasonal washrooms, accessible trails and bicycle repair station. Only downfall is the historic ruins cause algae to build up so the swimming season has a small window.

Great dog-friendly park with trails and historic features, and lots of space for social distancing.

It's great as an unmaintained beach. As long as you arent expecting it to be maintained it's a great quiet beach

Amazing little gem of a beach we have here in Fort Erie.

Fun day

A lovely picnic area on Lake Erie. My friends and I actually walk along the trail most mornings. We've come across foxes and young deer, as well as many birds.

Very sad to see what was once a lush magical forest and beach front; chopped & destroyed. Blatant disregard for its wild life. No respect for the preservation of its rich history. Once beautiful is no longer. Some consider this progress

Another little beautiful spot along the Canadian waterfront. We rode out bikes up along the friendship trail and stumbled across this. Very quaint

Great place for a run, or jike. Enjoy the lake scenery and trees. There is some great history here as well. Enjoy!

Great walking trails

This beach and park smells horrible. Perhaps it was only on the day we visited, but we left in a hurry. There is adequate parking and shaded seating as well as small beach.

Family friendly space to relax, have a picnic, go for a swim, or just go for a walk through the path in the trees. Beautiful place all seasons of the year. One of my personal favourite spots in area to go and walk around. Very peaceful.

Nice place for a walk and some time on the beach

Nice place to cycle, swim, walk, or just sit and relax

ReBARKable beach views of Lake Erie! This park is PAWtasticly clean and well kept! Beautiful maintained walking trail let's you emBARK on new journey's to neighbouring parks and beaches! This park is beautiful year round, in all season! UnLEASH yourself and enjoy the beautiful outdoors! #DogstableAbbey Approved

There was garbage on the beach it stinks so bad like rotten fish I would never go back to Waverly Beach

Amazing view and so many childhood memories

Most of that is gone . Best plus for Sunrise in Winter

Very nice and not very busy

Not as nice since the storm there used to be a nice board walk

Quiet park and nice view of the river

A truly peaceful place to get away from the crowds at the Falls. Love the walks beside the lake.

It was great till the 500 showed up started giving people tickets or something that's when I got out of there. I'm not riding dirty or anyting but I had to go anyway you know what I mean

The beach was good. It was incredibly rocky though, like if they could possibly get some kind of vac truck or excavator in there to remove the rocks it'd be 5 stars all day.

Beautiful beach. Was my first time there. The squirrels were cute

Great views n beach front

Private beach

Great place take a walk small beach and take a look the Sun coming up it so beautiful

Very beautiful.

While there is a bit of a smell depending on where you're standing, this is still a very nice beach. It appears to be maintained, there's several benches, and most importantly there's plenty of parking. Very nice area to just relax.

Great place to take well behaved pups for a walk cool history in the area too :)

Windy and cold. A storm came through recently.

Awesome

Lovely beach

Nice place

Hugh waves great if you are into surfing

Was out "walking" my dog and the cottagers came and told me it was private and I had to leave. I explained my purpose and they because extremely rude. Since when does the cottagers own the water and the beach land. Maybe they need to rake the zebra mussel shells up in stead of bitchin at me

Was dirty with crushed sea shells everywhere my undragged beach sand didn't even set up and stay

Relaxing place to enjoy the lake.

(Translated) Beautiful, wide, shallow, warm beach, ideal for relaxing with children. I recommend! (Original) Гарний, широкий, мілководний, теплий пляж, що ідеально підходить для відпочинку з дітьми. Рекомендую!

Clean, nice trails

Good for a short casual walk.

Great place. Love it.

The beach was dirty, filled with rotting seaweed and the smells was almost unbearable.

Peace full retreat

To find the ice boom, we accidentally stumbled upon this park. There aren't many parking spots. A paved bike trail, and a walking trail. There's a sandy beach, covered by ice at the moment. The cold winter and wind storm turned this little beach into an amazing hidden treasure in March,, 2019. Wind storm in Feb pushed piles of blueish ice near shore. It was a famous amusement park a hundred years ago, including a casino.

Great view. It's fun to explore the ruins of the old fair grounds.

I had fun in the water

The beach is small, sand is rocky and the water had a lot of seaweed or sludge.

It is great, but there were no showers or changerooms.

Quiet beach. I love this beach. Public washrooms. Great spot!

Fairly clean. Always a nice place to take the family for a walk.

Beautiful

good place to go to

A really nice, mostly quiet Park and beach with a rich history and LOTS of 100+ year old artifacts from a long gone amusement park. Not nearly as popular as other beaches / parks in the area, it's ideal for walks and mild exploration Situated on the friendship trail it makes for a nice destination. It has washrooms and water access too.

Locals Beach ,not too busy

Nice, clean and quiet beach. Good place to relax and enjoy the lake side view!

I grew up on this beach and nature trail..I’ll always have the best memory’s!!!

I just wish people would clean up after themselves. They ruin a beautiful park and beach

Clean, tidy and safe park to bring the family

Very beautiful beach nice and quiet relaxing restroom on site

Good spot with parking

It's a nice public beach with washrooms

We came here to birdwatch & were not disappointed, great place for walking & viewing the lake.

Feb.2021

Love the benches and the lake view

Good dog beach

Crowded... lots of people out for a nature stroll.. nice to see.

It was nice and serene...beautiful for families, couples, sole parents...to stroll. People are calm and pleasant. There is a slight stench of fish (but it's nature). Steve and his dog, Buddy, are informative and friendly, they guided us to Green Acres Family Restaurant down the road.

Really like the beach!

Nice beach and trails

Nice clean area nice trails

Wuiet with a great view of lake erie

I loved this place: peaceful, clean and safe!!

I love this place has been coming since I was a kid a little washed up now but still beautiful and historic

It was a stinky visit fot me and my dog. Talk about sewage smell. GROSS.

Great place to walk

Very historical area however the algae situation often makes beach unsafe to swim

It's very small and smells funny.

Nice place for picnic and or barbecue

Good Sandy beach

Upside is that it is beautiful. Calm abd nice with amazing scenic beauty and drive to there is dreamy. Nice water but with lots of algae. And also very small sea flies as you ner the beach. This is the only down side.

Lovely park

Nice small quiet place of peace!

Beatiful Lake Erie Lovely during winter. Busy during summer. Not a lot of parking. Great for locals Due to parking limitations not a destination beach.

Disappointed water was extremely smelly

Always a nice beach in the town of fort erie ontario

Better than crystal beach

Good place for mango party

This is a great hidden gem. I probably shouldnt tell anyone. Brought my 2 well behaved dogs so they could swim and meet other well behaved dogs. Lots of shady places nature walk and nice beach. Public restrooms better kept than some McDonalds bathrooms. Good place fir an after noon nap. Get water before you come. Although the have fountains to drink from. Bring swim shoes as this is a beach of shells and sand.

(Translated) If you are visiting Niagara Falls, go a little further west along Lake Erie, which borders on the United States of America. This beautiful lake is bordered by the Waverly Beach Park where you can stroll in peace, make beautiful photos against the backdrop of the city of Buffalo and see beautiful old houses. Nearby you can visit Fort Erie, one of the fortifications built along the lake and get an idea of the lives of people and military in the early history of Canada.

Beautiful and never too busy

Love this place.

Nice small park that opens up to a nice beach. Great for swimming and the kids. Not crowded

Great relaxing walk lots of history from what was once there the sound of the surf was calming

Grew up there love it always will ! My dad signed a tree there when I was 8 still there but way harder to see because the tree is way taller but still visible

Greqt place for a nature walk and to look at the water. Don't swim here!

Great alternative for crystal beach, a bit windy, but nice

It's a wonderful peaceful park.

Walk towards Niagara along beach and check out historic plaques about entertainment park. Loop back via the woods and see the ruins.

Water is very cold right now, and you peaceful suntanning can be interrupted by all the boats going by. The water is not the cleanest however, there is a rock formation that you can walk across a good chunk of the beach area without having to swim throughout the water much.

Sweet spot

Beautiful scenery. Very nice walking paths for short strolls. Interesting history

Peaceful

Lots of history.

Great spot for the whole family

It's a nice looking beach, but the overwhelming algae, the smell that goes with it, and rude neighbours, made it an unpleasant experience. One neighbour felt it her duty to come out of her house, four doors in, and misinform us as to their and our rights. If the neighbours are looking to inform the beach going public, your best bet would be to work with the city and post informational signs, including the fact that some of these are water lots that pre-date legislature allowing a right of way. If you tell people in a polite, and straightforward manner, maybe people won't mirror your ridiculous Karen-like attitude. You can avoid the algae and smell if you head down the beach toward crescent beach. Any one of the waterfront windows is accessible and you can setup between the marked posts (red and white). Crescent beach isn't anywhere near as big as Google makes it out to be and the it can get busy. If the parking is full look elsewhere, but on a weekday it was nice (no rocks, no algae here).

Great spot!

The beach was 5 mins walk from the airbnb. There were no crowd during the weekdays. The water was cold for summer days. Lots of sea shell on the sand. On the shallow area of the water there are rocks. The water isn't that clear.

Great place for a autumn walk.

We decided to drive from the falls to check out this beach. It was nice, I’ll give it that. My daughter loved the water as were use to the east coast beaches full of jellyfish and critters. This wasn’t long lived.. a women from one of the houses off the beach came storming down to inform us that this is a private beach and I’d have to move.. We recently moved here and wasn’t aware that half the beaches are closed off as “private” this has never been an issue for us in Prince Edward Island.. The women was extremely rude. She reeked of bad Karen vibes. Thank you for ruining our first Ontario beach trip Karen!

It's ok says no dogs allowed but everyone had dogs there and in the water. It was very rocky and depending on the part smelt really bad if you can get past it and go down a bit it's fine. locals told us to watch it has alot of ticks just a heads up.

I have never been there before. I went there today with a friend. It wasn't too busy when we got there. The beach was sandy and well kept. You can swim. Lots of trees for shade. There's a walking trail. It's Quite nice.

One of my favorite places. And Hershey's too.

Great little park with nice beach, parking and nice washrooms. Great area to swim. Only issue we found was too many cigarette butts on the ground. They need to make all public parks smoke free. Also, dogs on the beach should not be allowed.

Beautiful wooded area with nice views and a beach. They dont test the water quality here but my boyfriend and I went swimming here last August and didnt get sick or die so ????♀️...there was no one else there swimming which was nice but slightly unnerving for us as we werent sure if we were allowed to swim or if it's because the water is gross but again that was almost a year ago and we're still here. There was a bit of an unpleasant odor at the one end of the beach so we just moved further up wind and it was fine. Some sharp spots under foot. We were there on a super windy day and the waves were incredible...so fun!

Pretty decent beach park. Very nice view of Buffalo.

Nice and quiet, very few people, great for a walk or a bike ride. Or you could just sit on a bench and read a book, having a wonderful front lake view.

Good place for a nice walk. The path is well maintained and always easily accessible. There is a public washroom which is great, and lots of shaded areas. Water is not great for swimming, but the view is nice

Nice beach, walking trails, decent restrooms.

Beautiful place, sandy beach, has a parking lot.

So sad that the town of fort erie wouldn't step up and save it. I don't know how much longer we will be able to enjoy it before it is turned into huge condos

Great park but bathrooms dirty

Pleasant place

beautiful place

Not clean at all. Stinks

Very nice beach, had a lot of fun! Nice soft sand, plenty of space, not too crowded. Will definitely come back.

The bike fixing post is an outstanding idea! Cudos! It is great the washrooms work so late in a season! But men's look like it has been cleaned once in a while or never.

beautiful place

(Translated) Nice beach but not maintained .. September 2, 2021 (Original) Belle plage mais pas entretenu.. Septembre 2, 2021

Sandy Beach, some seaweed

Beautiful place , lots of free parking, public washroom. Nice walk area with historic references.

Clean beach, almost seems like a hidden gem in this city. not crowded at all, and water is crystal clear and clean.

Great lakeside park plenty of free parking

Nice beach

Nice beach. Quiet clean.dog friendly. Lots of seating and bathrooms

Clean, warm water. Not busy. Hidden gem

A great place to sit and enjoy the views whichever season

Worth the drive wherever you are. Lots of history here, beautiful place indeed
