Had a great time learning and touring the boats and submarine. It was great seeing the many Veterans that have served for our freedom. Staff is very active and very knowledgeable. I do recommend visiting the boats and wear sneakers.

Didn't tour the ships, but it's pretty awesome to walk by and see them. I think they have added some airplanes since we visited a few years ago. Nice setting along the river. Very clean with places for sitting, walking and contemplating. There are also a few places for souvenirs and to grab a bite to eat.

Museum is free for military and lots of room to explore on the ships. Nice places to walk on the pier and everyone we met was very friendly. Decent food options. Just not much parking. It’s better to find a lot and then walk there.

This is an incredible museum! So much of the ships are open for viewing and what I enjoyed was that it is a self-guided tour with docents along your route to enrich the learning experience. Definitely will return!

Must go. Do you realize why we are a free country today? Because men who lived and fought and died on these ships were fighting for their unique country USA and won! Who knows where we would be without those men??

What an amazing park and memorial! From the memorials spanning over a hundred years, to the naval ships available to tour, the entire experience was fantastic. The park is very well maintained and filled with folks willing to answer your questions. I went in early summer and it was fantastic weather.

Very nice area, beautiful visual scenery from there. Would like to your Naval Ship and Sub. Closes at 5:00pm so could not. Buffalo has done a good job developing this area.

Craig Bonin

Fun place to go see our country's military history. Fun for the kids too, just can be a little difficult going up and down the ships stairs, and going through the hatches of the sub.

Rich Rivera

Awesome and humbling experience. Total respect for the men that lived in the subs. Shin busting sub doors

Alice Feeney

Great day. Different classes of ships from the typical nautical museum. Friendly docents

Great pleasant surprise. Very well kept, mostly by volunteer organizations. The waterside walk was beautiful and the breeze was appreciated on a warm day. Great discussion with the marina's gardener who, along with several volunteers had planted and maintained a beautiful test garden of flowering plants at the end of the walk, just before the currently closed restaurant. Will worth the walk over there.

An immersion in the past to understand where we stand now. One can appreciate the effort make by those who gave their lives fighting for our freedom. It’s a pleasure to speak with the guides who work in the ships and the submarine. They have an amazing knowledge as of where those ships have been. Kids have lots of fun so do the adults. Anyone visting Buffalo should include a visit to the Naval & Military Park. It worth every moment!

My first time ever going and it was wonderful. I never would have imagined how awesome it is. Go do it.

The history tour is very nice. Big boat with plenty of room. Bar and bathrooms are available. It was clean, fun, informative and relaxing. The new carousel was pleasant. Pay a dollar at the cashier and enjoy an old fashioned ride. It is still clean and well kept by the waterfront. Alwsys a pleasurable place to relax and enjoy a sunny day.

Very interesting to see and old ship that was on war and also very sad to see all the man and women that died during the war . This is a great way to educate people that does not respect the past and the memories from it. You can only live the present knowing your past. You can only plan your future knowing your past and present Thank you to all that have put their blood to make this coutry an better one for all of us that appreciate.

My daughter and I went here as she has never been and for me its been a long time. The staff was very nice and helpful. The admission price for 2 of us was well worth it.($26). It kept us busy for about 3 hours. Nice water views and picture opps. Even without the admission price it's a nice walk to go spend some time. We had a BLAST people watching!!! Lol

Greg Tomsic

Impressive going through the warships at the Buffalo Naval Park. Definitely recommended.

Scott Lindsay

Such a beautiful day and reason to be here today!! Clean welcoming . Always like to see Buffalos waterfront.

One of the best things to do in Buffalo. There are a very few places to see or spend time in Buffalo atleast in my view, this ones on top of the list. I have enjoyed spending time here. Excellent place to explore naval vessels on the shore of Lake Erie. The park is well maintained too. You can walk around in the park and spend 3hrs easily. There are no guided tours its all self explanatory. Its a good place spend an afternoon with family. Canal side is walkable from this park so once this is done you can move on to that as well.

Dan I

This place is a must visit. I loved watching the whole deck

Robin Hansen

Very nice place to visit. There are a lot over memorials. Plenty of shade and flowers. Unfortunately when I went touring the boats was closed. It's a great experience seeing the size of these ships definitely a place to visit. Hope they open the touring back up.

Matthew Tuzynski

Admission can get you onto two ships and the submarine. They offer self guided tours, audio tours, and I think group tours with a guide for field trips and such. The military park pays tribute to every war. It was beautiful and well maintained. Worth a visit.

Northern Light

The park was closed the day we were there. From the outside you could see the effort that's being put into making it a real experience. We look forward to seeing it next time we're in Buffalo in a couple years.

Tammy Lagowski

Truly enjoy the area.. on You're visit everyone seems to say hello. I don't have any pics to share.. but I did post a couple videos from previous visits on YouTube ????

Nice old historical Naval warships.

Awesome experience ????????????

The veterans where accomodating and informative.it is best that it was the veterans that they hire to serve as guides for they know the ship well even though they are not on the ship when they where serving. $16 entrance fee is worth it since you go to 1 cruiser and 1 destroyer then 1 submarine.

Arguably the most interesting site to visit while in Buffalo. The Naval & Military park is located right by the entrance of the Buffalo River and is home to 2 naval ships, 1 submarine, and a few other military items. You can pay a small fee to get onto the actual ships and submarine, and it's definitely a great sight to see if you've never been on an actual military ship before (be warned, some spaces can be quite tight). Otherwise, the park itself is completely free to visit and plenty of good photo opportunities with the giants ships in the background. Street parking is available, but more likely to be found by the couple of paid lots near the marina.

C. Jared Wagner

The story behind The Sullivan's ship is amazing. And the fact that those 5 brothers, who died on the USS Juno, were avenged by the very submarine that sits next to the ship renamed in their honor. Amazing stories from a troubled time.

Annette Damron

This park is great. I visited this park 25 yrs. ago and it has changed. The only thing the park really needs is money to really fix the ships. They all need work but are all over 60 plus years. And could use some work.

Jennifer R

This was a great place to visit. All three of the vessels on-site were very interesting. The docents were also very informative and friendly

Antoinette White

A must do when planning a trip to Canalside! The USS Little Rock, The Sullivans & the Croaker are open to self-guided tours. Be aware that there are several, sometimes steep, stairs between decks. The veterans that help run the tours are a wealth of knowledge.
