Great place to bring a class full of kids wanting to learn and bake the way they did in the older times. Loved it!

Great vendors downstairs at the Inn: organic meats & produce, honey & bee products, baked goods, sheep's milk yogurt, cheese & kefir, preserves, jams & jellies and more... Great value and support for Ontario farmers.

Montgomery's Inn will always hold a special place in my husband's and I's heart. We decided it would be the perfect backdrop to host our wedding ceremony. Once we were able to coordinate with the staff, we knew that it was a perfect match for our big day. Everything came together beautifully and we are so happy to have chosen to exchange our vows in this magnificent historic home. Thank you so much to the staff for being apart of our special day, we couldn't have done it without you.

Ilia Binder

Currently undergoing renovations so it's a bit of a mess. Currently there are no 3rd party reservations for event space. Still worth the visit for the Farmers Market and Thirsty Thursdays.

The tour lady is amazing! We learnt about how the life was in the 1800s, how the wine was sealed and how people cook, got to see the kitchen and cooking environment. I liked the tour.

I come regularly to this locale for the farmer's market but I came on this occasion to listen to a band I'm familiar with. The music was great but the choice of room could have been better. Also the band had advertised there would be stew served but instead we were offered tiny pies. I would have preferred to have a meal at that time as opposed to a snack and prices were a bit too high. I realize this is the Inn's and not the band's doing. I hope to see this band back and things better organized next time.

Christina Ng

Thirsty Thursday sure is a fun event at the Inn. Great music and nice staff. Sure i would go again

Is currently under renovations, however much of the inn is still open to public. The staff were friendly. The inn offers tea and snacks for free. The tea was good, the snacks were not my favourite. Others might like the crackers and cookies provided, but they were not for me?

This a neat Toronto Historical site to visit with your family. It really showcases 1800's living. However, if you want the best bang for your buck, go on Wednesday's when they have an awesome farmer's market happening throughout the house (and your enterance to the museum is free too). Look up the vendors (and try not to miss Holy Cannolis).

Super neat historic house with a fantastic little Farmer's Market every Wednesday from 2-6. It takes place year round-outdoors in the summer and indoors in the summer. My kids also attended a fantastic Irish camp there and my family attended a tour of this old tavern. The history is quite fascinating.

Jeremiah McWhirter

Very cool historic site - lots of awesome stories about the early Toronto lifestyle. Staff is very knowledgeable, and their events are awesome! Definitely check them out on the last Thursday of the month (live music, roaring fire, historic food and drink, and an atmosphere that will make your heart glow!!)

I have loved this inn since I visited it as a child....a very very long time ago. I also love the tea and biscuits downstairs and have gone many times with my own children.

Just came back from Thirsty Thursday at Montgomery's Inn. What a great night! I felt like it was 1850! Great music and $5 Irish Stew and homemade bread and butter. A wonderful place to spend a chilly rainy night!

(Translated) Great, it's nice. It brings us to the times of life, how people lived long ago. (Original) Super, jest miło. Przynosi nas do czasów życia, jak żyli ludzie dawno temu.

Alejandra Vandewalle

Very nice to learn a little about how was the life in the 1800's... Patricia, the tour lady was amazing! The place is under renovations and that's the only reason i don't give the 5 stars... but if you like to learn about the past this is a very good way to spend your afternoon, and if you take the tour on Wednesday you get the chance to get some delicious stuff at the Montgomery's farmers market ????

We where very pleased that we went to see Montgomery's Inn. I myself have always been interested in History. There is a lot of articles in the house that are fascinating to look at and find out what they where used for. The lady doing the tour, was very well versed on the subject and knew the answer to everyone's questions. And she through a little humor in as well. I would suggest it is a good place to go, they even had a tea room in the basement with a large operating fireplace. All I can say is we loved it.

Mark Besz

A small snapshot to history, with fantastic small events and a wonderful Farmer's Market.

We love partnering with Montgomery's Inn on local arts and food initiatives. They are an excellent and generous partner to work with and are always an exciting place for our youth artists to visit and draw inspiration from. We also love going to their farmer's market and buying delicious local food.

After looking at the amazing street murals nearby, well worth a visit to this historic landmark. Guides in period costume baking cookies on the old hearth and tea time in the dining area. They enjoy answering your questions and offering interesting tidbits of life in inns well before Holiday Inns.

Deborah Kuo

Lovely place to check out if you're in the neighborhood and like historical museums that have been maintained in the period. It is a museum as well as an event space for weekly farmers market and other events. Inn gives a period feel when you're walking through the museum part so you can imagine how patrons of the day might have experienced it. Worth visiting if you're in the neighborhood and like this sort of historic thing.

Historic Tavern Meal Saturday, February 8, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Inn’s Winterlicious event is a typical 19th-century tavern meal in an 1840’s Toronto tavern. Served family-style at communal tables, guests will begin with Thomas Montgomery’s peppermint shrub cocktail, then enjoy artisan cheese and fresh baked bread, a variety of pickled and preserved vegetables, hardy meat and potatoes and a selection of historic desserts, all prepared according to authentic early Victorian recipes. Richard Fiennes-Clinton, author of Muddy York, will speak about the history of Inns in early Toronto. Admission: $35 + HST.

I have had the great pleasure of working with Steve not only of the sale of two homes but the purchase of two as well. Working once in the business myself I have very high expectations of an agent. Steve becomes very involved in his clients needs and always went above and beyond to give you the most favourable experience. We are talking million dollar properties that he was able to successfully bring to the close. When picking an agent I highly recommend you seek out this very qualified and successful one. My best to him going forward and if going to the market again he will be my first and only call.

Melanie Rogers

A wonderful experience. History buff or not this 187 year old inn, in the heart of Etobicoke is a great place to spend time. Go for the tea and baked goods then take the guided tour and learn about the Montgomery family and their lives in Canada. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Price for tea service is $7.00 per adult and the tour is a separate fee also. ENJOY!!

Went there to join their Family Day activity. Greeted with the friendly staff and volunteers, offered hearty hot chocolate and warm coffees when we walked in. My 8 and 10-year-old then joined the traditional candy (forgot the name of the candy) making workshop, which they enjoyed a lot. Then, we explored our way up to the second floor, where I joined an mini Irish river dance lesson and my wife and the kids tried out the 19th century games. After that, me and my wife went back down to the lobby to hang around a bit while the kids were finishing up their scavenger hunts worksheet. We finished off with some more traditional handicrafts down in the basement lounge.

Very old place. The Christmas sale was in the basement and just a bunch of amateur crafts people selling less than adequate crafts.

We had our son's 7th birthday party here. Iona and Mariah were fantastic hosts. They kept everyone intrigued with stories about the Inn and the family that owned it. The kids played 19th century parlour games, and baked Derby cakes on the open fire in the historic kitchen. Afterwards, we served birthday cake in their tea room. We would highly recommend it. It was a unique experience and we will cherish it.
