The museum is small but contains lot of interesting information about the history of rail in Manitoba. The staff member that was there when we visited was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable!

Great little museum that describes Dauphin's railway history through a collection of pictures, artifacts and other information. There is a wonderfully detailed model railway that shows Dauphin as it was in the 50s. As a bonus, it is situated in the city's historic railway station where VIA trains stop.

All that has been said by other reviewers I wholeheartedly support, and there is a small library of archived videos the staff are only too pleased to put on the tv. For interested visitors the Round House and turntable featured in the model railway can be viewed for real, a short walk from the station, behind Fort Vermilion, another interesting historical venue.

A large collection of railway memorabilia, very well-organized, and knowledgeable enthusiastic guides. The collection could use a larger space to showcase it better.
