REVIEWS OF Lost Villages Museum IN Cornwall

Part self-guided tour and part guided. Beautiful way to experience the local history. Wonderful staff!

Dave Thomas

Except for artwork on display, much was typical. I grew up in the 50's and was familiar with the history of the area and the type of buildings

Lj Shank

Great and educational

Ariana L

Very cute, but all locked up. You can still see in the windows and examine the outsides of the buildings.

John

Excellent place to visit. We really enjoy the buildings and Ghost Hunts

A B

Free place to visit with the kids, neat to checkout all the stuff and look inside the various buildings. The history of the changing landscape is the main focus (man made flooding). They have special events such as Art in the Park where there are local venders and food/drinks/music available too. Large grassy area and access to a nearby biking trail here too.

Greg Blanchard

Such an interesting place. So much history.

Dennis B

This is a worthwhile look and what village life might have looked like before the surrounding area was flooded as a result of the construction of the St. Laurence Seaway. Of particular interest is the restored 100+ year old home. There are many artifacts here donated by families of the area. There is a room dedicated to the impact of the Order of Freemasons. I was unaware of their origin and history. It is very worth a visit.

Douglas Terry

Very interesting site and excellent self tour signage. Unfortunately all the buildings were closed for the season we still wandered for close to 45 mins. Will definitely find a time to return in season when everything is open.

Kevin O'Shea

Nice place. Self-guided tour, but we bumped into some local folks who told us a lot about the history. Nice day. I’d say it wouldn’t take more than an hour or two to explore if all the buildings are open.

Chuckles the Clown

Fascinating look back in time. Free self guided tour through history was interesting. Washrooms on site and the gift shop sells gifts and drinks.

Diego Perez

An intriguing museum with many old buildings. Have artifacts of the village that used to be there , and an interesting history. Was lucky to be able to catch the Mazda festival, and the art market, so I managed to see some paintings, and had good discussion with some painters.

Travis Tuovinen

Connects to a nearby waterfront park, and advertised as bathrooms for public use. Not open at all. Some walking trails nearby.

Stephen Downes

It was open (yay) and has great examples of Pioneer life

K Szyman

Very interesting historical site. The person there told us about the old Highway 2 which ends in water now. We went there too to check it out.

Beautiful place for a wedding in the church at the Lost Villages Museum. It's a little small, but makes for an intimate wedding for a small group of family and friends. Cute historical buildings, cool place to check out. We three girls (W3G) and company have a trade show a few times through the year there. I believe they have one coming up Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Wonderful Human

Beautiful old buildings and it makes for nice pictures. There are less then a dozen and only open during specific hours but it is nice to walk the grounds even when the buildings are closed.

Lawrence McDougall

The staff here are so kind and knowledgeable, will highly recommend a stop here....

Peg B

Nice place to stop and look around. Get a little history lesson at the same time.
