(Translated) Very interesting to know the first place in the history of commercial extraction and refining of oil. The museum is very well designed, with infrastructures on the outside and a small museum but very complete with objects, photographs since 1850. The very friendly staff, on Sundays is free. It is very impressive to see still working the small oil extraction machines scattered among the surrounding crops, although you have to prepare for a strong smell of oil if you go near them.

We couldn't go into the museum because they closed early. Going to have to come back to check it out on a more reliable of a day. Seemed like a very nice setup and I'm sure my Review Stars will change once I get to actually visit.

An amazing history of Canada's first commercial oil well. There is a short video about how it all start and walking through the different parts of the museum to find the tools used for the different wells. The driving tour was a great experience as well and also walking around the site into other buildings. So much to learn.

What a great experience! A lot of untold history, very well presented and an overall engaging story. Very affordable. The driving tour was quite cool as well, you can see the old wooden derricks and wooden pumps from back in the day that are still operational. There are even local folks manning the pumps who seemed friendly enough. Try to go in summer though because the outdoor exhibitions are just as interesting as the indoor museum itself. Well worth a trip our to this part of the world!

(Translated) The people who work there are very friendly, have extensive knowledge about geology, chemistry and engineering; It makes a small tour something really interesting. However it is a small museum, but it is a good option for history or science lovers (Original) La gente que trabaja en el lugar es muy amable, tiene amplios conocimientos sobre geología, química e ingeniería; hace de un recorrido pequeño algo realmente interesante. Sin embargo es un museo pequeño, pero es buena opción para los amantes de la historia o las ciencias

A really cool place to visit if you love history, a lot of exhibits to see and a full operational oil field run by old world technology, a must see if in the area.

This is one of the most engaging museums I have been to. We were the only two there when I went and the staff's enthusiasm was amazing. there are a lot of large working oil pumps on and around the property. make sure you do the driving tour after checking out the entire museum grounds. I had no idea a small museum like this could have been such a cool place to go.
