We offer you the reviews of real people like you who are buying the services and products of Montreal Aviation Museum (Museum) in the territory of Châteauguay (Canada).
As of day this business receives a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is very good, and it's based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the rating is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their review when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to write opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum is classified in the category of History museum.
Too backward to have debit or credit to pay for entry. Had to turn around.
(Translated) Really surprising this little museum. We learn a lot about Montreal's role in the aeronautical industry in Canada, taking off during the Second World War. Volunteers introduce us to Canada's aircraft models and aerial history. Germain was our guide and it was as if we had access to a living encyclopedia. Well done. Bravo.
Fantastic experience. Museum workers are the real treasure here.
I liked the art work.

Great little Gem of a place. Worth a little trip out to meet the dedicated volunteers and to witness the restoration work on historic planes.
(Translated) The staff are very friendly, they know their history well and I learned a lot. Very interesting to see the old planes (replicas and origin) and all other objects from the great wars. Worth the distance! My girlfriend and I had visited the museum last year, I have been meaning to go back. The place has alot of items and information. You definitely leave with a large amount of knowledge surrounding the history of aviation. Definitely a place I would recommend checking out.

(Translated) It's a wonderful museum because there are so many types of planes that I have learned about types of planes. That's wonderful !
Nothing extravagant, but nice if you're going for that small, rustic 'museum' feel. I work here as a volunteer on weekends.
Volunteers offer great tours. Not a good place for young children but definitely worth a visit if you are interested in aviation history
(Translated) It's a bit small and everyone was busy so no visit really ...

Excellent museum for any aircraft enthusiast. A vast and varied collection that is sure to impress all. My family had a lot of fun at the Family Day! Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers that make the place so special.
Good
Worth a visit!
They close at 3pm, we arrived at 2:30pm... and they had already closed.
What a treat to find this little gem. Hats off to all the devoted volunteers with their wealth of knowledge and experience.

(Translated) ... the kids liked the flight simulator (Original) ... les enfants ont aimé le simulateur de vol
This is one of the best kept gems in Montreal. This is a working museum. You can see aircraft being built from the original blueprints. This is great for children and anyone with an interest in Canada's significant role in aviation history.
Quaint little Aviation museum maintained by volunteers. Guided tours are available by their knowledgeable volunteers who are mostly retirees with aviation background. Great for kids and aviation enthusiasts who went to get up close to some of the pieces they have restored or are currently restoring.
Not your typical museum. It's more of an aircraft restauration workshop run by passionate volunteers exhibiting their work. There wasn't a lot of people when I was visiting so they took their time and shared awesome stories with me. The museum also has what is probably the largest aviation library in Canada.
(Translated) Museum to see, I came across a team of enthusiasts. They renovate or rather they rebuild planes. I came across Andre, a nice passionate guy, he showed me his simulator he built of himself. Congratulations to the team.
This is a nice little place you can find on the island of Montreal. It is located on the experimental farm of McGill university or the MacDonald campus. The size of the place is rather small so there is not a lot of aircraft collection. What it entails is the local history of all aviation pioneers in the early part of the century of aviation. Very educational.
This museum deserves five stars for their effort with time and money that's spent to provide us with amazingly great info on the history of flight.
(Translated) If it's too old, I recommend it for free. (Original)
More than just shiny old airplanes. You can see their construction get up close.
Went in sort of not expecting anything too out of the ordinary and came out sockless. They were blown off. Guided tour was amazing, learned a huge amount. Can't recommend enough if you're even remotely interested in history and aviation.
(Translated) Very beautiful sight! This living museum is exceptional. Volunteers work in front of you at the aircraft restorations. moreover, guides are generous with their aviation experiences. Real passionate! A beautiful museum that is worth the detour! The old planes and works of art are of a high quality! Congratulations on this beautiful treasure.
I was not expecting much when I went to this museum located in an old barn on McGill's St Anne's campus, but I must say, I'll be going back again! Run by volunteers, we were given a guided tour, available in English or French, by André. He was extremely knowledgeable in everything aviation. The tour starts downstairs with incredible paintings and models of the different aircraft from the beginning of manned flight. Then we moved upstairs where a few actual aircraft, parts and more models were located. You can see several replicas and restorations in progress and meet the people working on them. If you're interested in aviation make sure to visit. Open Monday, Tuesday and Saturday.
A wonderful aviation museum with dedicated, passionate and friendly volunteers happy to share their knowledge of Quebec/Canada's aviation heritage. An incredible aviation art gallery, flight simulators, half a dozen aircraft on display, artefacts and memorabilia, and workshops where the volunteers are actually working on building or restoring airplanes! Great for kids and you can count on a couple of hours to visit everything.
Highly recommend a visit.... Skilled and dedicated volunteers,(Will see them in action) work hard to rebuild in detail, past aircraft, from original design and parts.

Nice collection of planes, very well setup and knowledgeable guides. Better for older kids
Great place to discover and rediscover! Not just for aviation professionals but for the aviator at heart-young and old! Do not miss the history, stories and heritage of this amazing diamond in the barn!
(Translated) A beautiful museum that taught us a lot about Quebec's place in the development of the aviation industry.
The Montreal Aviation Museum is an hidden gem. The collection is small but of a rare quality, from the beginning of Aviation in Montreal to the 50, 60's . They have also the largest aviation art gallery in the country, largest the one in Ottawa.
The story where all began
Great family activities and lots of yard space for running around.
Very interesting museum, a lot of Canadian history
What an amazing passionate group of volunteers!
It worth to go one time. Not expensive. It's interesting if you know about aviation already. It's borring for kids or you need axplain a lot
Guide was knowledgeable space had stuff for kid's and in spite of its small size a great collection
This hidden gem holds several relics that tell the story of the unsung heroes behind the evolution of Canadian aviation. This museum (read: workshop) has something for everybody, whether it is a magnificent art collection, jet engines, full scale airplanes..you may even find a rather strange looking Model T!

(Translated) Extraordinary to see the history of aviation in Quebec and especially the guides who tell us the history of its planes.
Fun activity for the kids on a snowy day.
Amazing knowledgeable people work there. So much passion and love for aviation. Basically the whole place is built on passion. And people who work there they share their knowledge and experience and by the end of the tour you want to become a part of their team, built, create, explore and make the museum more popular and to have more people and kids come there, have the interest in aviation.
(Translated) A great visit with Germain who made us discover the passion of all these volunteers!
(Translated) It is a place not very big, but full of history especially of Quebec, with emphasis on the performance of the Canadian pilots during the second war. A group of volunteers helps in the reconstruction of historical aircraft, as well as to accompany visitors and give explanations and anecdotes of the exposed elements, from the Bleriot of 1910 to the current F-18 models in service. If you are passionate about aviation and its history, I highly recommend it. Great place
It's a nice little place. With super friendly employees. My kids loved it.
(Translated) We arrive in front of the museum on a Monday 10am, it is indicated as open at 9am and we find ourselves in the rain in front of a barred door! I call and a lady answers me in English and is unable to speak French. Although I speak English, the situation made me so angry that I dropped it! A total lack of respect! We did not visit and we will not be back!
Just visited the museum out of curiosity, not really my kind of thing so it was difficult to say if the displays were impressive or not. Otherwise it was still nice to learn about planes along with their history.
Great museum chock full of arifacts and models. They have a painting collection as well. It is run by volunteers who obviously have a love for aviation and history. A Montreal hidden gem!
Loved it
It closed due to Covid19. But you can see two air planes and two engines showed outside of museum.
Wow, what an amazing little place. Huge collection hosted by an amazing group of volunteers.
