(Translated) Superb local history museum. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There are 3 exhibition rooms, two of which are for the permanent exhibition. The museum specializes in the history of the Haut-Richelieu region and in pottery because of its important industrial past in St-Jean. Other services also include courses in pottery and drawings, ceramic painting activity (such as Céramique Café for less), shop that showcases local artisans, guided tours in French and English. Their website is complete and regularly updated with historical chronicles. Also very active on their Facebook page. I recommend ! (Original) Superbe musée d'histoire locale. Le personnel est sympathique et accueillant. Il y a 3 salles d'expositions dont deux pour l'exposition permanente. Le musée se spécialise sur l'histoire de la région du Haut-Richelieu et sur la poterie en raison de son passé industriel important à St-Jean. Autres services aussi incluant des cours de poterie et dessins, activité de peinture sur céramique (comme Céramique Café pour moins cher), boutique qui met en valeur des artisans locaux, visites guidées en français et en anglais. Leur site internet est complet et régulièrement mis à jour en offrant des chroniques historiques. Très actif aussi sur leur page Facebook. Je recommande !

(Translated) Pretty good. The temporary location was pretty small (one piece) and didn't have a lot of physical piece (antique) and a lot of text (though I'm not the biggest fan). The date of certain object is not to mark what is disappointing. In 1 hour big max we toured the 3 exhibitions. $ 10 is pretty expensive but fine if you like to read. (Original) Plutot bien. L'eposition temporaire etait asser petite (une piece) et n'avais pas beaucoup de piece physique (antiquité) et beaucoup de texte (se que je ne suis pas le plus gros fan). La date de certain object n'est pas marquer ce qui est decevant. En 1h gros max on a fais le tour des 3 expositions. 10$ est asser cher mais bien si vous aimez lire.

Had a great time painting ceramic with my family

(Translated) Thanks to the Haut-Richelieu museum, I discovered that I loved painting on ceramics. I have completed 3 plays so far and will be completing a fourth one this week. You can see the result before and after cooking with the photos below (the frog box and the reindeer cup are not cooked). The prices are very affordable and there is the possibility of buying the parts in `` kit '', which means that the paint is provided as well as 3 brushes, a sponge in case of error and a placemat to avoid dirtying your table. For the "frog box" kit I spent a total of $ 20! In addition, I really enjoyed my visit to the museum which allowed me to learn a little more about the city of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. My favorite is the antique fire truck that you can't miss! They offer even more activities than what I've mentioned so far so I'll leave it to you to experience it all for yourself. You will not be disappointed, and the employees are very friendly and professional. I congratulate the Haut-Richelieu museum team for their exemplary work in the midst of a pandemic! (Original) Grâce au musée du Haut-Richelieu, j’ai découvert que j’adorais faire de la peinture sur céramique. J’ai complété 3 pièces jusqu’à présent et je vais en terminer une quatrième cette semaine. Vous pourrez voir le résultat avant et après cuisson avec les photos ci-dessous (le coffret grenouille et la tasse renne ne sont pas cuits). Les prix sont très abordables et il y a possibilité d’acheter les pièces en ‘’kit’’, ce qui veut dire que la peinture est fournie ainsi que 3 pinceaux, une éponge en cas d’erreur et un napperon pour ne pas salir votre table. Pour le kit ‘’coffret grenouille’’ j’ai déboursé un total de 20$ ! De plus, j’ai bien aimé ma visite au musée qui m’a permis d’en apprendre un peu plus sur la ville de St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Mon coup de coeur est le camion de pompier antique que vous ne pourrez pas manquer ! Ils offrent encore plus d’activités que ce que j’ai mentionné jusqu’à présent donc je vous laisse le plaisir de découvrir tout ça par vous même. Vous ne serez pas déçu, et en plus les employés sont bien sympathiques et professionnels. Je félicite l’équipe du musée du Haut-Richelieu pour leur travail exemplaire en pleine pandémie !
