I have been going there every now and then for years and have never been disappointed. Now I go with my young children and they too are enjoying their visit! The staff are very friendly too! Pretty good museum, especially if you want to know more about Canada, and Quebec in particular. We wanted to go for the old prison tour but the slots were already filled (we reached in the second half of the day) and the guided tour was in French only. The exhibits are interesting. Besides the pop culture, a part of the museum also covers the history and the evolution of the criminal justice system of Quebec. There are small tablets/TVs in between with interviews of some people who throw some insights on how things worked and how it affected common people, which is interesting to know. There are some interactive sections as well but not all of them were working, partly due to COVID I suppose. There's pretty huge parking right before the museum if you're coming from Rue Laviolette. It charges like 8 cents a minute with a maximum of $9, which is easily reached.

It’s a medium-size museum about history, sports etc. Fascinating exhibition about imprisonments, history and impact. It would be great afterwards to visit the prison itself, next to the museum. However, it's better to reserve your spot ahead of time, and most of the guided tours are in French. It is also strongly not recommended for kids. Instead, kids and adults who love superheroes will love the unique interactive hall on the second floor - superheroes mission. The staff is super friendly and speak English perfectly well.
