The Esker Foundation is fantastic! Their space was vibrant and bright, I went last year for the Katie Ohe Exhibition it was splendid, I would recommend this place to anyone who is eager to experience some art in Calgary, not a lot of places like it! Good fun for the whole family. Take your grandma? Take your siblings? Take your parents? Take a date? Any of the above just go!

This is a fantastic and free art gallery in the city. I love the diverse and sometimes weird shows that they will hold here. It is an open and interesting place to visit right in inglewood. The devotion to free access and art shows is a big winner for me. Everyone should visit this gallery at least one time while in the city.

Esker Foundation does an amazing job of curating really interesting work and brings a unique selection of art to Calgary. It's a free gallery so I would recommend going every time there is a new exhibition. Easily worth the visit every time.

To put it simply, Esker is a MUST go to gallery in Calgary. Their exhibitions are always so beautiful aesthetically and the content is so rich. Although usually featuring more than one artist, it's all so cohesive and it makes sense. The space is quite large and it is such a great place for photo ops if you're looking for some, or of course a place to cure your cravings for great art. The staff are always so kind and helpful as well. I just went there this weekend and I promise this exhibition) or any really, are worth checking out if you're in Inglewood :)

I went to this exhibit in search of a few good art pieces to write a school paper on. I was not disappointed! They had a huge exhibit going on, with works by a few different artists. The staff were very friendly upon entering the building, they immediately offered to hang our jackets and gave us a map of the exhibit. And the space is open and bright, making it easy to experience the art!

Went to see the Katie Ohe Exhibition. It was absolutely awesome and well worth the trouble to go. These pics are just a sampling of her smaller pieces that were hanging together on a wall. The space shows off her kinetic sculptures and those are the feature of this exhibition. If you have not had the opportunity to see her work in person or even if you have, it is well worth it!

An absolutely phenomenal space that shows public galleries how it can and should be done. They change the exhibition space 3 or 4 times a year, giving the entire gallery over to one or two artists to create their exhibit.

My favourite art space in the city. A wonderful, spacious room that feels cohesive, but utilizes angles to produce effective, separate viewing of shows containing multiple artists. A wonderful feeling space usually filled with beautifully curated art.

The Esker Foundation is one of the most accessible galleries I've ever been to. The staff were lovely, kind and non-judgmental. The artist statements were large and well placed. The lighting and ventilation are superb. I highly recommend an Esker visit for anyone who's been intimidated by going to a gallery before or simply is looking to experience something new and beat back the covid blues

I love the Esker Foundation. It is a popular space that allows all kinds of artist to pose questions to those who may have never stepped into a gallery before. It's beautiful home in Inglewood is so welcoming and it adds to it's charm. I would highly recommend visiting the foundation. -The Esker Foundation is free to visit and boasts free heated underground parking to boot. Well worth the trip.

A beautiful free admission modern art gallery in one of the oldest neighbourhoods of the city! I love going to the Esker Foundation for a chill afternoon or evening. Taking in the art, expanding my mind with their amazing featured works, then hopping over to any of the fantastic restaurants in Inglewood for dinner or drinks. The Esker Foundation also offers family oriented art classes & events, as well as talks by featured artists. Just check their website for info. Overall, this is my favourite contemporary art gallery in the city!

Amazing free contemporary art gallery. Highly recommended and one of my favorite things from my recent trip to calgary. They even offer free parking out back? What’s not to love? Furthermore the building itself was amazing and the staff was very friendly. While you’re there check out the furniture and lighting design stores in the same building. I can’t afford any of the stuff but it is amazing.

Real cool! Had no expectations going in and was pleasantly surprised. Great for hipstery art pictures. The building itself is amazing. The art gallery changes 3 times a year! It also looks like they host workshops there and date nights. If you're walking around Inglewood give it a try. Plus it's free so you really can't go wrong

I've been to Esker 3 times since finding out about it on instagram. Each time I've brought a different friend with me because the experience is fantastic. The art is always cool, admission is free, and photography is allowed. Already planning to go when new exhibits arrive :)

We went for Bring your Baby and it was the best afternoon outing! The guides/ facilitators knew so much about the art during the tour and we were able to explore everywhere at our own pace. The space is beautiful and comfortable and I had a great coffee downstairs too. I will be back for sure!

This is a great place to visit and one of the hidden treasures of Calgary. Admission, underground parking, and coat check is all free (parking is validated at the end of your visit). It is located on the 4th floor; there is an elevator and a fully wheelchair accessible entrance and washroom. There is no permanent collection, so every time you visit it's different. The staff and super friendly and helpful. There a lot of space that is flexible to be used for audio, visual, and static works of art. The west side of the gallery houses a seating area with a small collection of books to peruse and large windows to offer a good view of the downtown skyline.
