DESCRIPTION

Here you have the reviews of real people who consumed the services of The Aquatarium at Tall Ships Landing (Museum) near to the area of Brockville (Canada).

At the present the firm has a rating of 4 stars over 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.

As you can read, the average score it has is positive, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is very faithful. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they've done well, it works.

REVIEWS OF The Aquatarium at Tall Ships Landing IN Brockville

Richard Bowlby

We were here shortly after it opened a few years ago and were disappointed. We went as adults and there really wasn't many aquariums. This time we returned with the kids and it was great. Stiff for toddlers through to older children. They have added some animals and fish and it is a much better experience. Prices were pretty reasonable as well and we spent about 3hrs there in total.

Angela Roy

Very interactive for the little and the big kids too!

Danica Matovic

Great way to spend the afternoon!

Joyce's Playtime

My kids loved it here. Lots of things to keep them busy and engaged. A few more interesting aquariums and this would be a five star place.

Yuleidis Peña

Very nice place for kids, lot of fun with the otters. Beautiful place , should be go ????????

Christine Chéné

Great place for a family visit! My 4 year old enjoyed the Power of Water area

Nestor Reyes

Renee B

I am very disappointed that this place is closed monday and Tuesday's....on "off season". This place should be open better hours especially during winter. We did end up going and had a blast!

Laura Klaver

Incredible exhibits and lots of fun for children especially! Will take less than two hours to go through fully. The upstairs wind room and boat simulator didn't work when we were there which was unfortunate. Very engaging and interactive. Enjoy a walk around Hardy Park and get some ice cream afterwards to fill up the afternoon :)

Sean Kelly

Good experience going with a 4 and 8 year old. Facility is well laid out, with lots of things to do. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. In the end, I did find the whole experience to be over-priced.

Jan Ruetz

Vicky

A great day of fun to be had, fantastic for little ones.

Great place to visit with my 10 year old. Lots of neat hands exhibits. Make sure to see the otters at feeding times. The high ropes course was fun and the aqua inge was awesome.

Arrived at the Aquatarium to find 2 gas cars parked in the only two electric parking spaces. I spoke with the manager of the building and he said it was ok for them to park there as there were no more spaces available. Very disappointed about his attitude as these spaces are to be reserved for charging purposes.

Pacôme Allain

(Translated) Frankly it's overpriced for what it is. Not really an aquarium and it's small and crowded. To avoid (Original) Franchement c'est excessivement cher pour ce que c'est. Pas vraiment un aquarium et c'est petit et bondé. À éviter

Heather Sauve

Awesome staff. Otters are adorable. Fun activities. Would have bought a souvenir but the stuff was not what I wanted. Keychains, post cards, mugs, t-shirt more what I wanted.

Paula Place

Our 3 yr old and 1 year loved it. There were things to climb, kinetic sand to play with, a rowing machine race, fish, super cute otters, a cool wind room and the ever popular water play room. A good 3 hours was spent there. Get the groupon and take a change of clothes for the kids or dry them off in the wind room! Leave bags and coats in the car. There are no lockers but there are cubbies on the ground floor.

Mariana Bila

Fun place for the family! Received a Canada Day discount during the visit, which was great. Lots of fun activities, climbers, fish, and otters for the whole family.

Very impressed. I had heard a lot of good things about this attraction and my expectations were exceeded.

Samantha Leblanc

Took about an hour.

Great place for family

Raul J.

If you are a kid and you've never been to an aquarium, you might enjoy this. Otherwise, don't waste your money. 22CDN and there were three exhibits that were closed. The ones that were open were boring and you could see them very quickly. The only good thing was the otter feeding time. Save your money.

Shmuli Evers

Great hands on experience, with many different creative activities for young and old, learning much about boating, and many things water related. Lots of new technologies are used throughout the Aquatarium to keep you entertained for several hours.

andreann loyer

Its over price for what they have. I drove 1hour and a 1/2 to do a family activity and it was a waste of time and money. The only thing my kids enjoyed was the little movie in the elevator.

Marge Simpson

A must to visit. We had so much fun.

Evan Green

Amanda Stolk

Overpriced for two people and not much to see. Seeing the animals indoors without any chance for outside was depressing, especially for the beaver that was given a pool and a few sticks.

Molly Raffan

We had such a great time as two families of four, with two toddlers and two infants between our two families. It was well set out, interactive, a perfect length of time for the toddlers and super cool to see all of the different water wildlife. Highly recommend for families and it is very well set up for social distancing and staying safe in COVID times. It is close to local shops and restaurants and there is great green space on the little island with the train across from the Aquatarium that you can walk to. There is a restaurant there but it’s also amazing for a picnic.

Phil Dufour

A great place for children ages 3 to 7 to explore. There are not only fish to see, but also urchins and sea stars to handle. There are rooms to explore, educational games to play, and activities for all ages. Nearby public parking lot is free on Saturdays.

Warren Hubert

Chloë Mirfield

Great place to stop in and check out some of the local marine history and wildlife. Good for all ages.

Edgard Rodriguez

Nice activity for the young ones after a cruise in the 1,000 islands. The Aquatarium is a small but fun place for families to learn about fish in the St Lawrence & the creatures living nearby. The exhibit of Justin the only beaver at the Aquatarium was a highlight.

Gaynelle Gilbride

Great place to come and visit. Aquatarium is interactive at all ages.

Bliss Toronto Inc.

Fantastic interactive experience for everyone in the family from toddlers to Grandparents!! A great addition to this beautiful town.

Vicki Comeau

Great experience. Terrific guides, exhibits, clean. Great value.

The staff makes ur tour there above interesting The guy was amazing by explaining everything ????????????

John Jardine

Very nice local attraction to see what lives in our local waters.

Nathaniel Todd

Philippe Tessier

Great Place fun for kids. Could use more fish.

Shegufta Islam

Interesting place for young children, maybe some preschoolers, kindergarten kids. Wasn’t all that engaging for my 3 year old. She enjoyed the aquarium on the main floor, the turtles, and the water tables. Disappointed that the sand table wasn’t available to play with. Wind wall on the 4th level was interesting but again, not super engaging. This was our first visit but it seemed a bit sparse (like that theatre area - what’s that used for ?) Building is a bit confusing and could have better directions. Not overly big as well and can be crowded especially when the shows are happening. Wish tickets were a bit cheaper. Staff is enthusiastic and passionate about their work, it seemed. Overall, we will not make that 4hour drive to Brockville for this again.

Pauline Vieira

Oliver Britnell

Kids loved it. So did the parents. Fees are a little steep.

Kathleen Laycock

Educational for youth

Mica Funston

So much more fun than I was expecting. Lots of things for kids to do. There's a boat simulator, a boat race video game, live otters, and lots of places for kids to climb on and through. Definitely a very sneaky way to educate your children. There's also a licensed restaurant in case you need some recovery time. I didn't eat there, but it smelled good. There's indoor (pay) parking, with a couple spots reserved for electric vehicles.

Carolynne Roy

Christina Guazzelli

Adam Eastman

Neat exhibits. Very kid focused. Exceedingly crowded and sometimes hard to see things.

My boy is almost 4-years-old and he loved it. For that reason, so did I.

Milky Monday

Thought it would be alot bigger inside and the place is open till 5 but alot of the attractions close early at 3

John Hilborn

Great place to learn and experience many aspects of the 1000 Islands. We've taken my nephew here and he enjoyed seeing the otters and playing at the water tables.

FOX_cynz

So wonderful to have such a great facility available locally! Not having to drive an hour away for a family outing is such a relief. The touch pool is amazing, the volunteers there are always super friendly with my kids. Also, the lay out is crazy! Every inch is used in such great ways, my kids love all the little hide away areas and secret passagrs to discover.

Sophie Martel

Awesome activity for children, ideal for a rainy day. Very spacious, this is our second visit, we also came last year in early Spring on a rainy weekend. Never felt crowded, each time. I have a 4yo and a 1.5yo and we stayed for many hours. They enjoyed going from one activity to the other. Varied types of activities (motor, sensory, observation, etc.). The "layout" is just five stars. I just can't imagine how much it must have cost to build this place ! Massive wood boat "reproductions", submarine-like elevator, amazing decoration. Incredible that we have something like this in Brockville. Danielle at the front desk was warm and welcoming. Staff and volunteers throughout the facility are so helpful and attentive. You can park indoors, change boots for shoes and leave coats in car. However there is no place where to have something to eat in the same building (off season I imagine).

Christa Guthrie Vincent

The best part is the huge aquariums with all of the fish from our St.Lawrence river, the otters are so cute, kids would love this !

Rylan Hempell

Fun place for the family. A bit small but everyone enjoyed it.

Jennifer Ann

We love this place so much we finally bought a membership. My 10 year old just loves this place. Sunday was not busy at all. We spent about 3 hours there and were able to see the Otters easily and my oldest was able to get some great photo opportunities. Justin was a bit lazy, but it was Sunday. We'll be back obviously. Thanks for a great day.

Family of 5, kids are 5, 8 and 15. We had an absolute blast. The otters are very cute, the fish are super interesting and the water tables are enough to keep any kids busy. You might get wet!

Britney White

Mediocre at best. Got the free ticket when it was available and there wasn't much to see or do for anyone who is under the age of 8. The motorized under water submarine was interesting but the tank was not big enough to roam around in for very long without becoming bored. The bungee jump looked like it would have been fun and you can pay extra to climb the ships and ropes on the second floor. Overall it was fun but definately wouldn't return as it's only really good for one time.

Murray Matheson

Great attraction for kids and adults. Highly interactive and hands on with wonderful and knowledgeable staff. We highly recommend stopping here.

Harry y

This museum is clearly for kids adults might find it a bit boring so many interactive features nice place to visit if u have kids Entry fee is expensive

Sophia Rose

This was so much fun! Kids will love this. Hands on experiences with ocean animals like starfish, learning about life at sea, and a play area with a small ropes course and a playground. There is also a shop on the first floor. So much to see and do!

Renata Kimmerly

We were told that the Canada 150 passes were honoured here. I brought my daughter to show her the otters. She is a special needs young lady, who would not be able to do the activities, but would thoroughly enjoy the otters. Sadly the lady at the desk denied our pass - ours was the wrong 'kind'. Our mistake. She then asked how old my daughter was - I guess in anticipation of charging her adult fare. We opted not to go - there was nothing at all in the lady's demeanour that would indicate she would consider accommodating in some way to just see the otters. I know rules are rules, but they can be delivered in a kind and pleasant manner, both of which were very much lacking.

Lotus M

Buy the season pass cards because this place you'll be coming back to! My five children ranging from 1-7 years old absolutely loved every minute and second we spent. The staff were engaging & knew their information, keeping me entertained and immersed in what they were saying. The water area was particularly interesting to the youngest, and that pirate ship wow! The kids love the secret passages & they're big enough for adults to fit ;) this place is a must go, must see experience. You'll want to go back again to see your favorite part and to engage in other parts more. 5 *'s a second time.

Brett Wareham

A must visit for the family, young and old. Plenty of parking (inside and outside), lots of items to see and do, friendly and informative staff, and affordable prices. I have to congratulate the designers of this place for the creative means to use every square inch, especially with the secret passageways!

Brown Rideout

Nap Q

My kids like the otter and pirate ship but not impressed with the fish. They’re more amazed with Big Al’s collections. We love the mini train ride, however, we missed the first chance. We booked twice, one on a Friday then another on Saturday but was not able to get on time searching for the train’s location. There was no signage to direct people. When it was finally our turn, the two other cars were empty. I presume, they got lost too, expecting the train to be at or near the Aquatarium. Although ticket is booked online, improvements can be made to fill those empty cars or help riders get to the right location. We saw other families wanting to take the train but it was fully booked per website. We were grateful to have the rides for ourselves but it could have been more fun sharing it with other families.

Matt Davidge

Great tourist attraction for the whole family. I'm not sure whom had a better time, myself, my father, or my 3 year old son. Please be aware that this is not really an aquarium, but rather a aquatic educational museum outlining various regional aquatic aspects (including but not limited to indigenous sea life). The $20 admission is expensive by Brockville standards, though is pretty much on par with what you would pay for similar level museums in a city. The staff excelled, as they were fun, informative, and helpful; leaving their post to ensure that we had a top notch experience. The square rigger mock-up was fun, as was the power generation station, and interactive model of the St.Lawrence Seaway. Lots of great interactive spots for everyone to play with. I particularly enjoyed the land yacht sailing room with fans on the top floor, while my son's highlight was "Crashing supertankers". Well done Aquatarium. We'll make sure to spread the word among our friends and will surely return.

Jack Saint-Fort

This is a beautiful place to spend a time with friends and family.

Michael Leone

Tim Vaudry

Pretty cool place to visit. Great for families with small children

Jess Dufour

Fantastic place for kids of all ages! Spent two hours with a pair of ten year olds who just went nuts for all the hands on stuff! Great idea and well executed.

Brad Paradis

Great for younger kids. Like others have said the older your kids get (teen) it will probably be not exciting for them. Nice little stop though if you're in Brockville.

William Dixon

Amazing experience, seen so many kids with huge smiles on their faces as well as my girlfriend and her family and I left quite happy. Staff were polite and were very friendly and willing to talk or even joke around, beautiful location in downtown Brockville. Was a very fun experience and would definitely go back

Tammy Thomas

My 9 year old daughter loved it. I found it expensive for what they had. I expected a larger exhibit, being from Ottawa, the museums we have you can spend an entire day at them. We paid Around $33 for around 1 1/2 hour visit. We stretched it out a little to see the otters snacking at 3.

Mrs.Sara bourguignon

Not too big but a lot of fun

Jean-Michel Renaud

Siobhan McCausland

Pat Drummond

This is definitely a place to take kids. Only a few fish/turtle/snake/frog tanks. The otter 'snack time' was disappointing but the single otter put on a real show after everyone left! Teens would find the ropes course challenging. Elevators were not working that day. We finally found the "other" 4th floor with the boat simulator. Great screens but poor controls. It kept freezing with no reset button - maybe it couldn't handle my driving!

Stu M

Quite small, and overpriced. Most interactive things they have arent available because of covid. That's fine but the price should be adjusted. The staff were great, but I wouldn't go out of your way to go there

Matt McLear

Jerry Shuttleworth

Was an amazing experience for my children and me. Lots of activities and hands on exhibits. A very interesting and engaging layout of all areas in the building. A perfect mix of live creatures to electronic interactions. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I am looking forward to coming back.

alice Park

If u don't have kids, don't go.

John Ogilvie

Not very impressed--both the entertainment value and educational value were low and the living animals did not have proper habitat. The different rope ladders and rope tunnels, as well as the power of water exhibit, were the most fun and the most popular with children. But smaller facilities like these should not have living animals since they are not able to provide proper habitat for them. None of the fish tanks had any vegetation. The saltwater channel was filled with living creatures--crabs, snails, other mollusks-- and setting it up for young children to handle these helpless things 24/7 was pointless as well as cruel. There was no educational value and surely even the entertainment value of poking crabs and flipping over snails to prod their soft undersides is minimal. Teaching that living things are nothing more than playthings to be prodded or curiosities to be gawked at in their glass tanks is not a lesson I want my child to learn.

Adam Manley Densmore

A great spot for the kids. My 2 and 3 year old loved this place. There's no place to sit down with the kids and have snacks though. You can leave and enter again, but with young ones it's nice to just cram some food in their mouth and get them going again. Reasonable parking rates and a nice scenic location make this a nice spot for a day trip from Ottawa

Andrea Pasztor Bereziuk

Great for kids: Not too big so you can do it all before little feet get tired. Be prepared to linger at touch-pool. Otters are awesome.

Christina H. Rose

It's great if you have small children, lots for them to do. A little on the expensive side if you're older as you can breeze right through it. Spoke to the manager about it and he said there are lots of educational movies and stuff, but if I want to watch a documentary I can get it on Netflix.

Nafiz Zaman Shuva

Mildred Gordillo-Mullings

Great place for kids.

Andrew Ray

Two adults and a 3 yr old costs $45 for admission. We were there on a rainy Sunday. We saw brook trout that were crammed too many to a tank, a couple turtles in tanks that were far too small. For the 3 yr old, the highlight was when she got to play on the sandbox. 40 mins later, we were outta there. I really wanted to like this place, but what a drag.

Pandeli Kolomitro

Lots of activities for kids. Not much in terms of wild life

Valentina M

We haf lots of fun!

Jacki Barrett

Tricky to review. 2 because as a day for anyone older than 12 it would not be fun. We brought three kids under 12 and they had a great time but we sat on a bench and waited...the obstacle course was the highlight but we had to pay extra. Worth the trip on a rainy day to entertain kids but we won't be back anytime soon. Children's museum in nearby Ottawa costs less and equally entertaining.

Amazing tour! Incredible adaptation for covid!

Really fun attraction! I loved the saltwater starfish exhibit and the baby otters were adorable!

Dustin Thorley

We brought our kids as well as their cousins. They all had fun but I'm not sure there was enough to go back very often. Check with your local library to see if they have free passes. We got one and that made it worth the trip for sure. The staff were all super friendly and helpful.

An amazing place with so much to enjoy and lots of things for all ages. It is quite a lovely town as well!

After hearing so much about the Aquatarium and that it was our new tourist attraction. Not to mention the hype from knowing how much was spent to get this up and running, I had some expectations. I went on a weekend, which is the only time anybody with a normal job can go due to its hours 10am - 5pm. I took my girlfriend here as a date. We went into the building and the staff were very friendly and helpful to get us our admission. You start off with an elevator ride and you come out on the 3rd floor. The floor has a few fish tanks and a small salt water touch tank. The fish in the tanks are all freshwater and they are fish you can see and catch in and around the St.Lawrence River. The River Otter exhibit is very limited, its like a zoo where you just observe them from behind glass. The Otters and Fish are confined to areas where they only get artificial light and I was concerned for their well being (some fish did not look well). I continued and there are a few interactive exhibits that I liked. They have a water area, one mocks cascading water and you get to build a dam to divert water to turbines and produce a power dam (My Favourite). The other water area if a mock of the St. Lawrence Seaway and kids were putting foam boats in at the top and sending them down stream (This looked fun for young children.) The ropes course is small and although fun you couldn't do that more then a few times without it getting redundant. The boat simulator is interesting, nothing like actually driving a real boat but the concept is intriguing and fun. The Aquatarium has its place for educating and introducing kids to some of the fish and wildlife in our area. Its by no means a replacement for getting your kids outdoors and taking them fishing or on hikes etc. I have seen and caught all the fish from the wild that you can observe in their tanks. It is not natural for some of those predator fish to be in such close proximity to the other fish. Needless to say I will not be going back unless I am taking small children. The hours of operation are poor, exhibits are mediocre at best and it was not impressive for the cost of admission. Kids (ages 3-10) seemed to be really enjoying themselves and it has a lot of potential for doing events at if you were to do theme weeks or had in guest speakers etc. I could see this really taking off.

Seeing the world In a different way

Brockville is a small community and despite that they are fortunate to have a clean and family friendly aquariums. Don't set your expectations too high as if it were a world renowned aquarium, because it is not. However, there are lots of interactive live displays, educational tours and it is a nice place to spend a few hours. I liked going to the aquarium and recommend others to go there as well especially if you are visiting the area. If you like my reviews, photos or videos scale your fin up.

(Translated) Children love to learn and play! A super recommended place! (Original) 孩子们很喜欢 能学能玩!超级推荐的一个地方!

Berrin Sun

Solid 4. Mostly great for young kids who are curious about the world and would like to explore more. Some activities are closed due to Covid but it was nevertheless a great tour.

Darlene Oakley

Small socially distanced tour groups. Interesting critters and displays. Lots of history and a fun water play area for kids. Well worth the money.

Kristina Jensen

Got SOAKED at the Brockville Aquarium. My doctor's office has a more interesting aquarium in it. We were told there were three floors, which I assumed housed fish tanks, but truth told, one was a restaurant and the other a very well thought out play area/reading room for youngsters. I asked about where to find aquariums thinking I had missed them, and the guide pointed me to one - with trout in it. Yes, you read that correctly. Then there was another arched tank that was dimly light, presumably to please the common species of fish found in a river. I really don't know. I did enjoy the opportunity to handle a starfish. Their elevators were out of service but the attached hotel elevators were available. It was a mixed up floor plan between the two that I never quite figured out. Admission fee: $24.95 for adults and $14.95 for seniors is waaaay toooo much money. If you want to see fish, go to the petshop instead.

Joseph Avery Realtor

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn't recommend coming here and expecting a full aquarium though. The environment is designed for children to play and learn. We spend about 3 hours here with a 1.5 year old. There are lots of interactive activities including a touch tank and splash area.

Ryan Provost

Gerald Brown

Good place for young kids

Drake Primeau

Great tour guide, lots to look at. Kids enjoyed it.

Kayla Brown

Extremely over priced for what you actually get to experience. Not so great for small children as this is more for boat enthusiasts who want to read a few fact board posted throughout. The only fun thing was looking at the otters.

Jaime K

I hate giving bad reviews. The people there were great. Cost way way to high for less then 30 min experience. I wont recommend nor return. The staff were fantastic though.

Ken McKittrick

We have been there three times since it opened? Great attraction for all ages. Guides were extremely helpful. Good job all.

Ghada Elhady

It was a nice day out for the whole family, my little ones really enjoyed the aquarium. The staff were really helpfull and organized. The place is clean and alot of sanitizers around everywhere. They make sure that groups do not cross ways to avoid contact with others. Alot of rules for covid in place. The tour guide was very informative. My kids enjoyed the stories about every piece and animal.

S T

It was alright but not worth the drive for us. Not enough to entertain my family for long.

Sarah Lampson

My kids loved it, my older loved the high ropes and the younger the pirate ship and the secret passage. We also enjoyed the water and turbine civil engineering activity. Great gift shop.

Mathieu Drolet

First class. Loved the experience. We had to pull our grandchildren out.

Scott Gray

Great for kids 7 and under. The rope play structure for young kids is the main attraction. The aquariums are very disappointing. Didn't see any sharks, stingrays or any other tropical fish. They just had some fish out of our local lakes and rivers. Our kids and us left disappointed. Save your money and take your kids to McDonald's and use their play structure for free.

Shian Coy

Was a little smaller then expected but the kids had a great time.

James Pikul

The little aquatarium that could... Mom, dad and toddler enjoyed the trip to the Aquatarium. Coming from NYC I expected to be a little underwhelmed by this small town museum/aquarium/planetarium but I cannot find a single bad thing to say about it. Due to the fact that it is not a full fledged aquarium (hence its name) it provides a big variety of activities that kept everybody entertained. The staff is friendly, and the place was clean and not overcrowded.

Mohammad Bilal

Very engaging experience with friendly staff.

Fun place for all ages! Kind staff and very passionate volunteers making the Aquatraium a wonderful place visit

Total waste of time and money....not worth a Penny. I don't know why they even build it.....for nothing really!!!

D O’Brien

great place. possibly reconsider staffing at front desk. there’s a jen down there and when I went with my sister and her kids she wasn’t very kind and also seemed wasted and rude. also talked about her..personal.. problems which were in appropriate go work. I saw another complaint about her which reminded me. definitely made our “fun day” less fun. not a great person or employee imo.

Emily Parenteau

If i could give zero I would. This was highway robbery. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes. Aquatarium my ass. Three small puny fish tanks. The majority of it was large boat displays that kids were not allowed on. Staff was friendly at first but looked at us like we had three heads when we asked is this really it? Sooooo not worth the astronomical price of entry. Sadly disappointed.

Google User

Went with the whole family, two adults, three kids (2,8,10 y/o). The museum has wonderful staff and volunteers, everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Talk about interactive, every exhibit has some form of interaction, and there are secret tunnels for the kids. The otters are rescues, that due to their injuries sustained in the wild, they would not be able to fend for themselves. It is a great experience, and I highly recommend this museum.

Great place to visit, especially when using library pass for $5 admission! Super friendly staff and while it isn't the biggest place, it's perfectly sized for a younger family.

Pricey for the place. It has information and hands on activities for children to learn. Restaurant downstairs on level 2. Main attraction is probably the feeding of the river otters. Parking available close by. Nice area just next to the river.

Unfortunately, my daughter, my two year old grandson and myself did not enjoy our visit. The only interesting things too see for a two year old where fish, which took us only 10 minutes to view. I wish the receptionist would have mentioned the very limited activity for a two-year old. I would have saved $40.00 and gone back in a couple of years. Unfortunately, that was not the case and now I'm posting a review as a heads-up for other toddler parents that this is not a great venue for toddlers. There were quite a few activities for 4 - 9 year old children.

What a great place for kids. Hands on learning. Play area and lots of information

my 6 year old son really enjoyed playing here

So fantastic! Lots of opportunities to interact with marine animals, and a lot of puzzle games for kids to play with water.

Great place for kids. Proactive enthusiastic staff and very kid friendly

Lots of hands-on things to do. Kinetic sand, several water tables, a touch pool, various simulators, aquariums with local fish, vivariums with local wildlife, otters. Keep an eye on your kids, as they may disappear in a number of hidden tunnels and passageways in the walls. Was disappointed in the lack of a nursing room, or any private spot to nurse. There are a few benches scattered here and there, but if you have an easily distracted baby, it can be tricky. Also disappointed that there was nowhere to sit down and eat.

This place was great! "Aquatarium" should be taken to mean that it's a fun mixture of aquarium and aquatic animals (otter, beaver), boats models you can go in or climb on, and local history (War of 1812 and Great Lakes/St. Lawrence seafaring). Great interactive displays and models for kids and adults alike, most still operational during COVID (lots of safeguards in place), and great exhibit design.

Very disappointed....unless you are under5 years old it is quite boring...we were in and out under a half hour...nothing like it's hyped up to be

Friendly Staff! Nice outing but keep ur expectations realistic :)

There was someone named Jennifer Hodgson at the front counter (I requested her business card to verify her name) and I’ve heard horrible things from my friends about her but they were nice. She was horrible. She swore infront of my child while talking to a co worker and then proceeded to tell us about how many problems she has in her life and acted like she was drunk and say that she feels “tipsy”. She is a horrible person to have working in a place for children. We had an amazing time but shame on the organization for keeping someone around when I know for a fact many of my friends and family have complained. She also continued to talk to us about the place after her “therapy session” after we told her many times we had been there before and caused us to miss the otter presentation. If approached by her, request a different employee.

honestly we didn't go in because it is 20 bucks and there was only a hour left but the lady was so friendly and helpful...answered questions and invited us back. if we were going to be in town the next day we could have paid and cone back the next day too. sounded like only examples of the local eco regions are featured so I didn't get the feeling it's supposed to be a zoo - like thing...more educational to the area which is important :-)

We found this facility to be perfect for two adults and two chikdren, 7 and 9. Enough to keep all engaged and interested for a coupke of hours, great staff and fun environment - educational and not too kiddie. Also reasonably priced w a family package offer. Worth the trip!

Very informative place and good displays. Layout a bit confusing but otherwise I'd certainly recommend it. Lovely sandwich and ice cream spot next door and it was lovely to sit outside and boat watch in the marina.

Very modern exhibits, many activities throughout the day, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Like a mini Ripley's Aquarium, with local wildlife, and reasonably priced. Some interactive exhibits sadly closed off due to COVID, but still plenty to see and read regardless!

Not even an aquarium... Maybe 10 fish in the whole building, what a rip off.

(Translated) We had a great experience at the Aquatarium. A great organization in times of COVID, a guided tour in a small group. It is not a large aquarium but we greatly appreciated the enthusiasm and knowledge of our guide Linda and the rest of the team. (Original) Nous avons eu une excellente expérience à l'Aquatarium. This was a pit stop on our road trip. We weren't expecting something big, and yes, indeed, the Aquatarium is pretty small. However, it is so perfectly created, with enormous attention to details. It was a pleasure to spend here an hour or so. There is a place for kids to play and give some energy away. And you can also watch “shows” - feeding time for animals. Super welcoming and friendly staff, they all acted as we were guests in their house. Souvenir shop, the cafe at the corner and a restaurant on the second floor.
