I was hoping to learn more about the history of Steveston. Instead, I got a history of how Japanese lived in Steveston. I wish there were more to see and experience. Overall, it was okay.

The staff was friendly although she was by herself. Aside from the Japanese Heritage museum in the back, this museum also sells Once Upon A Time memorabilias. And they are beautiful. The museum was clean and the bathroom had no foul odor.

Interesting place to learn about the history of Steveston and the Japanese-Canadian community that grew there over the years. Museum is a tad bit small, but was still overall a good learning experience.

Interesting but would have made a bit more sense if there was a guide. The train part has a guide and I loved that. p.s. forgot to add... There were a few other places that you can check out within the general vicinity as well; Train station and Britannia Shipyard. You get some lovely pictures as well as learning about the history of the area. Definitely should visit if you're in the area. Spent about half a day walking around the different sites.

Unfortunately it was mostly closed for school groups when I was there on a Monday morning so if going during school hours maybe call ahead to see if the exhibits are open. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
