REVIEWS OF Museum of Illusions IN Brampton

Diana Lehan-Port

Cool way to spend an hour

Justfor Reviews

Mediocre at best. It wasn't a terrible experience but it certainly wasn't thrilling. Money for that museum ticket could've been better spent elsewhere at another museum. The museum is tailored more for children - it'd be a good day trip for the kiddos, but not as a date or for adults.

smit patel

Fantastic place! Absolutely mind blowing

Kevin Monitros

Super fun! They've got some puzzle stations too! Would def recommend this for everyone to experience!

Andrea Jose Leon Jara

So nice to do something different with the family

Moe Als

Cool but it's really not that big, whole experience would probably take 15-20 mins

Greg Jamieson

This show is basically the equivalent of someone with carpentry skills Googling "optical illusions" and building the result. That and the utter business savvy of putting together a bunch of stuff that isn't copyrighted and charging gullible city folk (like me) $25 to see it.

Skittle Boi

THis is the masterpiece ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? gl with ur stuff that u do ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

geoff mascarenhas

Fun family experience, lots of mind bending, interactive exhibition. Good times.

Jason guo

Had some fun setups within, generally liked it, however the entire trip lasts less than 20 minutes, hoped there would be more Illusions.

adnan somani

The place is must check out but wish was bigger, the price feels really steep for the amount you get. It's good for sure but look for deals.

Ram Nov

It was fun for the kids (10-16) but its a very small place, slightly crowded. The price was extremely expensive compared to the activity. Personally i would recommend to skip it.

Aaron McCauley

My girlfriend and I decided to do random adventures before going to the cottage for new years. We would do the museum of illusions to start. They were booked but we were able to go in if we waited 30 min. It was an excuse to see the St Lawrence market. We had a great experience and I would recommend anyone to go. Thank you for making our adventure great again!

Jessi Odaisky

Great for a quick experience. Totally interactive and social distancing was fairly well handled for a smaller venue. Great photo opportunities.

X Yn

Nice experience in there. There is one my favourite but you only can see the illusion with the eyes. The camera can not showing that magic world.

Veena Manuel

Great visit! Have fun moments with urself/loved ones. Staff were very helpful and friendly! Not worth $28 in time but, guess the complexity of the exhibits (science) make up for it. Do get pics in the infinity room for sure. Was wanting to go to Japan to experience the infinity glass room but, this surprise element left me happy n satisfied until then!

Elisa Paquette

Sadly disappointed with my visit. Had high hopes from reading all the good reviews, after visiting makes me question all those “good” reviews. Cost me 50$ for a 15 minute walk around in two small rooms...Completely overpriced as you're paying for an hour which is false. You aren't there for an hour, not even 30 minutes. Better off going to the science museum or anywhere else than here personally. Waste of money AND time.

Manveer Singh

Great experience but Rather short. Games, puzzles and art can be completed in less than an hour.

Samina Vardag

Worth visiting at least once! Went with my husband and 2 kids, ages 12 and 8 and everyone had a great time. Took us about an hour to get through. Yes, some of the tricks we've seen in books and tv shows but nothing can beat the experience of seeing it first hand. Loved the 'Tilted Room' the most, quite mind blowing!

Tanner Swift

Fun place but extremely short and definitely not worth the price point

Lee Ifill

It's a quick and fun trip to make on the weekend. Is it worth $30 per person though.... meh

Suzan Samivand (Suzi)

Must visit to mess with your sanity!! This is amazing

M S W

Small place but very entertaining. It's worth it. Kids has a blast doing and doing the rooms. You will spend 1 to 1 and a half hours.

Ivana Bozickovic

It’s a lot smaller than expected. The illusions were cool to see and experience but I don’t think it’s worth a $30 admission fee. Our experience 3/5 Price value 2/5

Cristal Osbourne

For $30 you would think that there would be more to see and do. Not worth the price. There were only 2-4 exhibits that were actually interesting and picture worthy.

Ed Hunt

Small and packed with interesting illusions. I would have stayed longer to work on puzzles, but the family was done before me. Fun!

Art Wish (Art Wish)

Nice tiny museum with cool exhibits, a bit overpriced by a few bucks to be honest and the reason I deducted one star, but it's good for kids and adults as well, there is a parking lot just around the corner. There's also a fusion Japanese food restaurant next to it that is actually very good.

Omar Ayyash

I enjoyed visiting this museum, but it’s a bit expensive since it’s really small one!

Carolyn Wells

Very neat, both kids and us adults had a good time

Anita Windisman

A smallish museum steps away from the St. Lawrence Market. There were about 8 interactive exhibits in total. The rest were examples of artwork with optical illusions on the wall. Took us about 45 minutes to make our way through it. A bit expensive for what it is. Enjoyed it though.

Tricia MacLennan

I paid 26 bucks to look at photos of illusions that I could have just looked up on google for free. It took me 10 minutes to cover the entire “museum”. Definitely NOT worth the entry fee they are charging. Save your money and hit up one of TOs other attractions where you get more for your money. If you don’t you’ll leave feeling ripped off. **This so called “museum” states in their reply that they have 10 grand illusions and 60+ additional ones...but that doesn’t change the fact that MOST of them are pictures printed off the internet and put in frames. ONCE AGAIN it’s simply NOT WORTH the 26 dollar entry fee...no matter how many lies they sling. The only illusion here is their delusion in thinking they’re running anything other than a complete scam**

Jade Carne

Amazing place, I took my 7 year old and he loved every minute of it. Especially the little brain teaser games.

George Legault

Really neat and a fun time. Just wish there was more.

Alexis Pokora

Saw the add on Instagram for the museum and it looked awesome so I was super excited to take my 9 year old daughter there (I was even really excited) We got out of the taxi and it looked like he dropped us at a tiny apartment complex, I thought the driver took us to the wrong place...I immediately knew it would be really small. Don’t get me wrong it had 1 or 2 cool things but....only 1 or 2...you can complete the museum within a half hour. An illusionist came out walking the floor and did a few tricks...even explained how they were preformed, which was neat and the only reason for my 2 star rating instead of 1... Prices should be lowered for such a small and disappointing place.

Everett Horner

Really cool experience! If you have a promo code, make sure you book online. I also thought it would be bigger than it was.

Diana Vanessa Lin

There were a lot of people crammed in a confined space. Had to wait a while at every station to take photos. Definitely pricey for 50 minutes of entertainment. Otherwise, the limited exhibits were pretty neat.

Ryan Chatterjee

Too small and expensive! Total rip off! Paid $30 and done in 15 min

Pierre Ferland

A rip-off. Way too expensive for what you get. The museum itself is smaller than our house and some of the supposedly illusion doesn't really work.... Nor worth it at all.

Peter Dongelmans

This is better called the Museum of Desillusions. Extremely overpriced for just one floor with mainly prints on the wall of illusions which are all well known. Just Google optical illusions and you find 80% of them. This museum really was a commercial rip off.

Adriaan Hup

Loved this little museum, spent 90 minutes here with my 10 year old boy and my father in law (76 yrs old physics teacher) and we all had a blast!! Staff is very friendly too!

Mark Fleming

I was hoping it would be bigger with more illusions! The flat image illusions are in frames with glass that is very reflective and takes away from the illusion. A nice selection of classic flat image illusions, that was my favorite part.

Megan Ward

Really great family activity! We all had fun.

Rain

Cute little Toronto find to spend 20 minutes or so in. Neat little illusions to see. There are a maximum of 6 bigger illusions and 20 “read about” illusions. So it …

Alfonso Chen

Although small, the place is well laid out with countless interesting illusions

Zung Wu

Some installations are v interesting, but do not justify the 25$+ cost. V small space with a few stand-out installations. Fun Instagram pics though!

Saja gharib

I love the experience, such a unique one. highly recommend it specially if you want some fun times with friends and loved ones

Mahrukh Hakim Hassan

Good fun to keep you busy and entertained for an hour in DownTown Toronto...some unique illusions and photo moments. It's quite small for the price of the place, and Tue groupon won't help you save much..but worth a visit if you're interested in such things.

Cris Dumitru

I really liked the Museum of Illusions but I would have liked to see more interactive illusion rooms rather than just pictures of some illusions on the walls. It was smaller than we expected, it only took us about 25 minutes to look at everything (and it was also quite crowded and hard to socially distance in there).

Mohammad Abbasi

An spectacular museum that shouldn’t miss in Toronto.

Deanna E.J.

Smaller than most would probably think!! In my opinion a bit pricey for the experience, but still without a doubt a worthwhile one. Some simple but super cool exhibits that leave you doing head tilts, double takes, and snapping fun pics the whole way through.

Prasha Kumar

Overall it’s a nice cozy place - I wish there was more to see though. I would suggest try not to look at their pictures on Instagram because then there’s not that much to look forward to when you actually go there.

Ashley H

Fun experience, doesn’t take a lot of time to go to the different exhibits though. Make sure to eat or drink after because you may feel some motion sickness. Great spot for families or work groups.

mahesh wani

4 stars only because it is really small. Otherwise the place is pretty good, might take you around 20-25 mins to go around and check the place out. …

Kate Babak

Visited with the family on Sunday morning, around 11, and had a wonderful time! When leaving around 1, there were alot more people - so I would suggest you go early to get the best photo opportunities. It is a small space, but it's packed with fun displays and rooms, so definitely worth a visit in my opinion. Certainly was amazing by a number of illusions!!!

Gabor Emesz

A fair display of simple optical illusions, that make kids excited. The place is small and can get quite crowded. Don't anticipate much and don't plan to be more than 1 hour there.

Beth

Cool museum, but not as fun if you are only there alone or with one other person as you need a third to take pictures. Could be improved if staff took pictures for you or some more activities not relying on pictures were added. Also a little bit small.

Sean French

Worse than niagara falls was museums.

Michael Tang

DO NOT GO PEOPLE, SAVE YOUR MONEY. I took a date there and was in and out in like 20 minutes. Almost $30 a person for 20-30 minutes, NO VALUE Use that money to go watch a movie, eat, donate to charity, shopping, Ripley's Aquarium, ROM, AGO, Science Centre... anywhere but the so called Museum of Illusions. I honestly can't believe they charge what they do, I felt scammed. It's more like a $10 experience, if that. This is one of those exhibits where they hype up through social media... get everyone to pay as much as they can for however long they can and then the place will close down.

Farrukh Malik

Cool spot, but not $25 cool. Pretty small actually, plus a few things are just puzzles, not illusions. Perhaps at a $17-18 price point it would make more sense. Smth-to-do kinda nite

Bernzie Baby

Whatta great way to spend an hour. Wished it was a lil bigger for the price we paid. Kinda messed with my eyes for a bit. If u have problems jus gotta remember to close your eye for a few moments.

Richard Lander

$28.46 for 10 minutes. Most people monopolize the exhibits for pictures. Quite small. Well done but a bit repetitive. Mostly illusions with mirrors. Most seemed to enjoy it. I couldn't wait to get out. The comment about 65-70 minutes doesn't match what I observed seated by the door.

Lisa King

Ummmm.. it was cool... probably wouldn’t go here again though. It’s not worth going here full price, so I’d recommend going on groupon or waiting until there’s some kind of deal going on

Mandy Bairos

Wait time was over 30 min.. entrance felt really tiny because of the overcrowding. The illusions were really neat and left us wanting more. We had fun but there were way to many people inside.

Dave Logan

Really not sure why this is ranked so high. 25$ per person for about 10-15 minutes of mild illusions. If you're wondering how they fit a museum into this location, it's because they didn't. It's just a regular store size. I get stuff is more expensive but this honestly felt like a massive rip-off. Party of 4 all agreed, including kids.

Andy Ambrozic

A fun time, with some amazing illusions and photo opportunities to capture them

Arianna Micacchioni

Nice place where to bring your bored kids. It’s not that good for younger kids, I would say 8 and over is preferred. A little pricy for the small amount of attractions, but a good experience overall.

Saatvik Walia

Its an interesting visit. Can cover everything in the museum in max of 2 hours. Sometimes an illusionist starts a 15 min show in the audience and its pretty fun. Definitely check out their gift shop for puzzles.

Farid Kassam

I was really pleasantly surprised at the number of cool illusions they had, Excellent time for kids and adults alike. You wont need more than an hour to get through the place. Worth visiting at least once.

J K

It's more like a pop up than a museum. You go there get some "instagram worthy" pics, and you're done in less than an hour for ~$25 - which I find is pricey for what you get.

Lexie Simoes

Their most impressive illusion is the illusion of accessibility. (Would have been 1-star, if I weren’t so impressed.)

Yogesh Murali

Good concept and a really insightful.. can have more exhibits.

Bruce Wayne

Good place to come with families, staffs are very friendly

Patel Meghna

I had a great experience with my 2 buddy

Kaitlyn Jung

Awesome short activity. I thought it would be super small but you can actually spend a solid hour here no problem. Great date idea.

Abuzar Khan

Really liked the museum of illusion, the only draw back of museum is its very small, I would love to spend my time in such places but maximum 90 minutes will be more then enough to understand each and every illusions …

Dave Euser

Many interesting optical illusions. Takes about an hour to get through if you take your time...my kids are 6 and 8 and they enjoyed it. A bit short vs the price. 10 minute walk from Union station

David Franklin

This place was fun to check out. All the exhibits are interactive. We took lots of pictures of us trying out the illusions. The place is very small though and not very cheap. You can find discounts on Travelzoo and Groupon though.

Anastasios Vassos

Very small and expensive. Try something else.

Abdullah Carriere

They should change the name to room of illusions. Illusions are fun, but it is disappointingly small. Only worth like $15 ticket rather than $40. Plus parking I will never go again, even when they add "new" illusions in 2022.

Nazanin

The museum is really fun and I would have rated 5 but because of a staff who works there, I rated 1.There was a girl with short black curly hair with glasses who is so rude and her tone was terrible. As me and my friends were aware having Mask is mandatory and we wouldn't took of our masks while we were walking around, my friend took off her mask for one second to take a picture and the staff came and said "if I see you one more time without mask , I would kick you out". That wasn't professional and it was so rude from her to talk to visitors. How ever, the museum it self was amazing.

Jess X

Great place to go with friends and family :)

Karishma Bhatia

Worth a visit, just not worth the $30 per person!

Sreeja

Took my little sister here, we both had a good time. I went in expecting it to be a lot bigger, but it’s just small rooms with exhibits. Still found it quite interesting. For children, it’s fascinating. But, the price could be a little lower for what u are experiencing. You only need an hour max to go thru all the exhibits. It’s just a one-time visit place but still enjoyable.

Haania

So cool and so much fun! Tickets are pricey for a one-room museum but it’s great for a one-time only kind of activity.

Jordan

I had a very good time here when I went with my girlfriend. It was very interesting to see the different types of Illusions and Abstract exhibits. You can expect to go through everything in 30 mins tops, unless you really linger on some of the exhibits. The normal price was a little high but we used a Groupon and got a reduced price so that was nice. If you're looking for a new place to visit with a short fun experience then check this place out. In my opinion it's worth squeezing this place into your schedule for 30-45 mins if you're doing day activities in the city.

nancy m

This exhibit is SOOO much fun! If you can, go with a group of three that LOVE taking pictures. You can get really hilarious fun photo ops from the exhibits. It was very crowded when I went, but everyone had a good time, and (mostly) respected being considerate and allowing others to use a space to explore with their group. Some exhibits really mess with your senses, so if you are really sensitive to perception changes, or have balance issues, there are a couple exhibits that you will not be able to participate in (but there are other things to see and do)

夏Mint

Very cool place for photos, interesting and abstract. Smaller than I was hoping but worth it. Less of a museum than just a place to experience and take photos. Read that it was packed on weekends so we went on a weekday and it was almost empty, very good time to go. Nice place to go on a date or with friends. When it's empty during a good time to go it should take about forty minutes to an hour to get through the enture exhibit, likely longer at peak times.

Hala Sabri

We spent an hour here and both kids and adults had tons to explore. Kids ages 8,12 seemed to grasp the concept of most the illusions and were able to navigate most stations by them self

Th Sc

This was a really cool experience I took some friends here and we had a great time the only critique I would give it as if it could be just a little bit larger but I understand that this is probably the space they have to use perhaps one day they'll get a bigger location have way more activities this place is definitely a must-see

Rizvan Sarwar

It's good but small like it's an exhibit or small attraction at CNE or Wonderland. Not worth the price, finished in 20mins!

Robin Bastien

Very interesting, yet also quite crowded. It was fun putting together the puzzles with friends and many of the optical illusions weren't expected at all.

James Borland

The Museum of Illusions is located in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood of downtown Toronto. The museum is an interactive art gallery exhibit with simple picture images on walls to interactive spaces that will play with your sense of motion and space. I had a really fun time. It takes about a half-hour to hour to go through the exhibits. Feel free to take photos with your phone here, they actually encourage it. Please be advised that this is an LGBT friendly place. Great place for couples, friends or families to visit for some fun.

Cierra Walsh

Very cool spot if you're into illusions!! A lot I've already seen, or know about from shows/YouTube, but there was plenty to experience for such a small place!

u Ahmad

It's really cool place to visit. Especially the gravity room. It was fun.Tickets are reasonably priced.

Brad B

We didn't have access to our confirmation number since it was on a work email and apparently they dont use any of the information that you provide when booking to keep track of your reservation? Update: lady at the counter was able to fix everything that alone makes it worth the 5 star.

ryan galloway

Really neat idea! I had a lot of fun exploring the different illusions, probably my favorite were the rooms that alter you r perspective. It is a tad on the small side so take your time at each exhibit so you don't blast through in 45 minutes.

A M

This place was amazing! Such an awesome exhibit. Even though it was really busy during March break, the front desk staff was so amazing. She was really great while interacting with customers. There was also puzzles to do while we waited to get in. Highly recommended! Take lots of pictures!

Jemy Joseph

Pros: cool exhibition, a neat addition to Toronto art scene, engaging for the brain. Con: too pricey for a short experience (1-1.5 hr). ~$26 with taxes. No discounts for special population like students.

Paolo Casciello

Definitely not worth the high ticket price.

Jay Patel

Place is good but staff member is not because I removed my mask to click photos and one staff member told us to leave that place. I think it’s not fair because I haven’t seen all illusions and my money waste

G

Small place but good if you appreciate Illusions. Can cover the whole thing in an hour without rushing. I wouldn't go back since I've seen it all but I would recommend it to others!

Neill Lui

Some nice illusions for all ages to enjoy. Seemed a little small for the price of admission but had a good time nonetheless.

Jennifer Vo

finished in half and hour but it was nice, not really worth it though, $60 for two people

Ianna Miller

A cool way to spend 30 minutes. Buy your tickets early and have a great time!

Wynneth

I had such a fun time with my cousin. We got our timed admission at 11 am. It ended up being perfect timing since a school group just left. There's a closet to hang up your jacket so that you don't have to carry it around with you. The staff said that a lot of people spend between 30-60 minutes at the museum. There was a couple ahead of us at the different exhibits/displays and we made a pact to take photos for each other haha. The vortex tunnel was the trippiest exhibit and I felt so unbalanced and off kilter.

Grant Thomsen

This is a SMALL 'museum' for a large price. There are some interesting things but it can be viewed in 15 - 20 minutes.

Keith St Jean

Filled with various optical illusions this museum was a fun and interesting way to spend an hour in Toronto.

Lakienya Frett

This was a fun experience. Great for friends; a day with family or a lovely date night.

LB

Had some good exhibits. Price is average, little on the high side. Staff very friendly. Thought there might be a little more to it. Fin experience for kids. Didn't take too long before all exhibits were viewed. I give it a 3.5

Lindsey Galvin

Fun! But admission was a bit high for something that only takes 1 hour to go through. Still recommend you to visit but just expect a quick visit

Hussein Momoh

Great and affordable fun place to hang out with friends or a partner. It is fun and engaging. All the staff are nice and theres a staff that helps you take good fun photos. Theres a lot of illusions and few puzzles that really engages your brain to solve. They also have other puzzles you can buy. Overall great place. What would make the place even greater is to switch up some of the illusions (adding few new ones) maybe once a month so people can keep returning to check out the new stuff. ????????

Louis Perzia

During my last visit I checked this place out. I had a great time going there. If you have motion sickness or vertigo, this place might not be for you.

Rainer B

Cool, really fun place to go and get some cool pictures. I'd suggest it's a bit too expensive, but hey welcome to the city

Keith Wilson

Great visit to the Museum today with wife and kids! Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and there is definitely something in here for everyone. A couple of stomach churning displays too which were pretty fun to experience. Highly recommend grabbing some tickets and setting aside some time to visit!

Rusty

Really rude staff and waste of money. Nothing inside is interesting.

Alex Vikhrov

Many of the exhibits are interactive. This is a fun place that will amuse you with how susceptible our perception is to illusions. You will enjoy taking many photos. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Jose HM

I was with my family and we were expecting more for the price, but small place for a high price,

James Freeman

If you like illusions then it's a no brainer to visit.

Crystal

It was pretty cool for my kiddo. A little too small for what we paid but he enjoyed it regardless.

Mustafa Salman

Its cool ...and fun to check it out. Makes you think its weird how the mind works. I gave it less star because i think it needs more illusions. We finished it in less than 45min on friday night.

Dania Al

I'm so happy that we have this in TO. it's not as big as I thought it would be, yet it was SO MUCH FUN! Incredible place, the staff that took us pictures where so nice! Plus the people that cashed us out. I eneded up buying the little 3 pieces pyramid becasue it was hilarious! I loved the idea that we could buy puzzles afterwards. Thank you!!!

Arthur Rocha

It was very underwhelming for the price of the ticket. Our visit lasted no more than 20 minutes and we've seen everything in this tiny exhibit twice already. I would give a 4 star rating if the price was between $5-10.

ida oskooei

A very fun experience. Worth visiting once. Specially for kids

Trevor Tremaine

An interesting, hands-on display. Good for kids as long as you give some instruction about how it works. Bring a good camera so you can take pictures.

Ophelia Mak

The link to purchase on the official site only accepted AE. I called and found out that there was another website to buy tickets using other credit cards (bookeo). It would be nice if the bookeo website was also listed on the official site. There were lots of people (I went on the 2nd day of official opening) and the place was rather small - it was difficult to navigate and read the explanations or to take photos. Also, coat check was unmanned, so hang your coat at your own risk! Staff were available to take photos, but the experience would be better if it was less crowded. Overall, good photo ops but not worth the admission price (for me anyways).

Danish Khan

So we thought it was going to be like A Maze N things which we went to when we were in Melbourne which took a good hour to get through, but this is an incredibly small exhibit. Good for about 10 minutes. Worth it if you're close by and haven't been to other places with similar exhibits. Otherwise pass

Julie Li

Smaller than I expected but pretty fun for pictures. My favourite was the slanted room and the vortex. Not sure if it was worth the price though. 3.5 stars!

Noura Soliman

My daughters and I visited here during the summer. The kids had a blast. The pics are very fun to take and it is also very educational as well. This is a really fun place to visit for any age. However, prob only spend aboit an hour and a half max before you have done everything about twice.

Christophe Hellman

Like many other reviewers I would agree that it is seriously over priced for what you get. But it works, it's full of people. Go if your really have nothing better to do and can spare the $$.

Jacquie Wood

We won family tickets to this place and I would say it was enjoyable but small. It was extrememly busy when we went and therefore had a hard time getting around. It is about 2 or 3 rooms total and you could visit it all in about 45 minutes to an hour.

Kishan V

I visited this place recently, and overall it's decent but considering the kind of illusions that they have it's not worth the price, Also some of the reviews point out that the staff needs to be a bit nicer is true.

Nabeel Ali

It's too small, for the price you pay.

Jess Keff

A place not to miss if you’re visiting Toronto. We had the opportunity to have some family fun at the Museum of Illusions Toronto. It was an experience that heightened our senses and a great place that kept our 3 year old occupied and intrigued. Here are a few highlights of our experience and some tips for you when you visit: We loved that there was something to do for all ages and that our daughter, who’s 3 could participate in most of them. It was challenging enough for adults but some were not too hard to explain to our 3 year old There’s a good balance of the number of illusions to get you going but not overwhelmed The Vortex Tunnel was definitely a favourite! Definitely the hardest one for me! You’ll see why when you go! Make sure you take your time and read the instructions mounted on the walls. Don’t rush or you’ll miss the idea of the illusion If in doubt, ask one of the friendly and helpful staff members to explain how the illusion works Don’t forget to take photos for the full experience Yes, if you’re looking for something fun and unique to do in Toronto, Museum of Illusions is a great choice! We most definitely recommend it!

Akhil Nair

It's an interesting concept. These are the basic illusions that you learn iin a science class. The endeavour is commendable, but features meagre number of illusions which are otherwise observable in the science centre. Secondly, I feel that it is definitely not worth the money and is quite a bit overpriced for what is offered.

Michael Paccanaro

Small but fun! Spend time reading and doing everything this will take 1+ hours.

Khrystyna Skira

Fun place to visit and spend an hour downtown. Wish there was more to it!

Jennah Watson (Snauzeberrie)

We highly recommend coming here. We got a deal off Groupon. Such a neat friggen place!!!

Buy Buy Bae

A perfect little date spot or a nice area to go with your girlfriends! My friend and I stumbled upon the museum completely by chance and I thoroughly enjoyed our experiences there. It's a wonderful place for photos and a great way to spend some quality time with your friends. I would definitely say one of my favorite rooms was the color room, where if you stood in front of particular lights, you could change the colors in the room. If you're like myself and you get motion sickness very quickly, the Museum of Illusions may not be for you. I can see that there are only two Illusions inside that cause you to become dizzy very quickly but it is still something I would mention.

Mikey C

Fun place to visit for a couple of hours. Was small place by had good exhibits which where hands on and for photos. Mind boggling puzzles to try. Good fun for the whole family.

Suzanne Soto-Davies

If you are over 40: Bring a magnifying glass and a flashlight, 'cause the instructions for many of the displays are hard to see (badly lit) and many are too small and far away to read. Funny typo in the bathroom sign, haha, had to share! Plan to spend 30-45 minutes there, so if that is worth it for you, go for it. PS: The infinity room needs a handle, signs are crooked, staff is lacking 'pep', visitors are confused at "how to" some of the illusions (maybe they too cannot read the small + dark instructions?). Overall: "Okay" and cute. It's nothing you haven't seen before; old-fashioned illusions and not worth visiting more than once.

Ruben “Rube” Kim

Good idea for urbanites with kids, but needs more attractions. I'm sure with time more features will be added and it will expand to the next units to accommodate more guests.

B.W Y

Just so busy with kids running around everywhere. Probably due to the later time we went. It was pretty cool but pricey for the size of the attraction. Go early if you're thinking of going.

Mido Hamzawi

The live illusionist put on an amazing show! Overall, a great experience.

Steven N

Came here as it was the first time in Toronto. I thought there would be more things to see however due to the space there was only so much. Infinity room you can barely see yourself when taking pictures. Best part would be the upside down room overall. Expect to only spend about 20-25 minutes here. Self coatcheck. Anyone can steal your belongings so be careful.

Andrew

Not a large exhibition however attend with my magic student and I assist clarifying many of the displays. Ticket person did not seem like she wanted to be there. Good experience.

Sue Say

A bit overpriced for what you actually experience. 100 bucks for a family 4. And so little to see.

Marta Di Martino

This museum is unfortunately not worth half the price it costs. You just pay the location, but the museum itself is so basic. Extremely disappointing.

Kevin Mendes

Exhibits were cool, however I felt the admission cost was on the higher end, considering the amount of stuff they had.

Aaden Turcotte

The museum itself is really short, overpriced and most of the stuff there is stuff you can find online. Horrible, wasted my money.

Ben Morgan

Some neat displays here. Pretty pricey for the size of it.$78.50 for a family pass and just under $30 for an adult It took us around 40min to see all of it. Would have been better if some of the illusions had 3D pictures like the ones in Asia. Has a restroom.

Gabriela Siade

Liked very much all the optical illusions. It was great for kids, a tad small but still very entertaining...totally worth it. I would just suggest the staff to allow less people at the time to be able to enjoy and go back and forth between displays. There is a lot to take in! so you might need second and third take on many of them.

Liam Winegard

What an interesting places! Some of the wildest illusions and experiences you can pack into a short time.

Aaron Harrison

It is fun, but there isn't much to it. Without children you can get a solid 45 minutes out of the place.

Daniella Campoli

Enjoyed the Museum. Not very big, friendly staff.

Ayşegül Bozkurt

My first worse museum experince.when you buy ticket they dont tell anything about covid- 19 rules. The stuff was very rude and aggressive

Aselin Weng

Tiny, not worth the money. A massive group of high school students came in shrieking, running around and rough housing, the Stagg did nothing to contain them. Ruined the experience.

Alex Eroff

I wouldn't call this place "museum", unless something about 2000 sq.ft big could really be called "exposition". It is OK for a one hour visit. Mostly an assembly of items well described in an optical illusions book that I read when I was 11-12 years old. My 7 years old daughter liked it. In my personal opinion, it doesn't worth the price.

Laxmi Aryal

The illusions are definitely very fun. Spent about 1 hour in the museum. Took lots of pictures. They've got signs to explain each illusion too which is a plus.

mimic brad

Fun but really small we were expecting more. Tour is over in less then 30 minutes. 25$ entry

Patrick Trzcinka

Lots of fun optical illusions to see. However, it is smaller than I anticipated, and there were a lot of people there. It felt crowded at times. Worth checking out. Just make sure you purchase tickets before hand.

Amanda McLaren

Kiddo loved it and we had a great time, it's just a little pricey for a 60-90 minute experience.

Agata Carnrite

Kind of cool but very expensive for how small the place is. We took our time going through it and we were still done in under 45mins. It was also overcrowded

Robert Brown

A fun time with the family. Good for about 1hr. The magician they had doing tricks for the patrons was really good. I don't know if there is always a magician there but you should try to go when one is there.

Bob Launder

Overpriced for what it has. It's mostly smoke and mirrors. The 1 exhibit of the rolling tunnel and multi color lights saves it from being a total waste of time. Many of the exhibits have been seen on Facebook. Ages 12 to 16 might get the most enjoyment out of it.

Maanasy

A lot of cool illusions but there is quite a wait for all the rooms and most of the illusions you'll have seen on social media so not much difference. Still a fun hour to spend though, but bear in mind it's quite expensive for just an hours' worth of entertainment. You can get a few cool pics though!!

Viv L

Now this compared to the happy place is so worth your money! It is fun, interactive and entertaining!

Pavlo Kuzhel

Has interesting illusions but definitely overpriced. It is a very small place and becomes very crowded. Would be nicer if the illusions are in separate rooms. The infinite mirror room is poorly done, light goes through the doors. I would be ok with it if it was at least half the price of the ticket, $25/adult is too much

William Yan

The Museum of Illusions features a novel variety of interactive rooms, displays and puzzles that explore the world of optical illusions. I went here with my friend on Saturday at 4pm. There is a coat check which was free and you can hang your coat in a small walk-in closet. However, it is recommended not to leave any personal belongings in there. We had plenty of time to look at each exhibit without excessive crowds but there are certain areas where it had a line up. The Vortex Tunnel was my favourite. It was super trippy and I was a little disoriented after walking through it. Overall, it was a fun and unique experience. The museum attempts to balance between being an "Instagram" photo opportunity and providing some educational content. The museum is relatively small and the number of activities are fairly limited.

Jon Capps-Dean

The price was high, and there were too many people. It was hard to get a good glimpse of some of the exhibits. The infinity room was way over rated.

Chandana Amarasinghe

I had a blast , the staff is very helpfull as well

Estabrooks Kyle

Not very much bang for your buck. At 50$+ for two people, it's a bit steep for 20min of fun and couple unoriginal photos.

Arzoo Pathan

Bit expensive and not worth the price. Decent and clean place, only one time visiting destination.

Keegan W

This place is small, but jam-packed with illusions and puzzles for everyone! You could easily spend a good hour here if you love this kind of stuff!

chirag khopkar

Only 3 good illusions. Guy at the counter is extremely rude and arrogant. He should learn how to talk with guests first and than sit on reception. Waste of money.

Nadine Levy

This place was fun and well worth the tickets. It doesn't seem like much when you are there but when you are going through your pics afterwards, you realize how cool it all was. I promise yoy want to take pictures at every exhibit. Pro Tip: pay attention to the feet on the floor - those tell the photographer the best place to stand to capture the illusion.

Robert Saka

$30.52. why so much ? You get rushed out of there . You can't stay and enjoy as much time as you need .

Koonal Pandya

Must go for family. Pricing seems bit high for the size and amount of time but very enchanting experience. Will visit again.

Alex Lai

Slightly smaller than I was expecting. Without a lot of people in the exhibit (I went Wednesday morning) it doesn’t take too long to see everything. Front end staff are absolutely incredible and very helpful.

We Be RaNdOm

I loved the awesome illusions spent two hours with my family each illusions was different fun or quite cool the only issue was the price for the entry, but over all, AMAZING

Jud Stade

Really fun time for the family! They give you more than the hour as long as it’s not crazy busy. Fun stuff for the kids to see. They also have an illusionist walking around doing some pretty awesome stuff. Blew our minds! Definitely recommend!! It feels a little bit over priced, but still something fun to do once.

Paul Jaye

An interesting show, with one standout exhibit (a tunnel that makes you feel like the world is tilting) but not worth the money. It was also really crowded, to the point that you couldn't actually see and interact with each of the exhibits.

Alana Moses

The museum staff was great!! The illusions are great to see in person but they may be challenging to capture in photos. Ali did a great job at making our experience quiet memorable! He helped us capture the moments and made the museum visit one to remember

Colleen

Love this place! Very interactive and worth spending the money - the rotating tunnel was my favourite part.

Javan Wang

Not a lot of attractions to be honest, you will easily finish all of the exhibits under 1 hour. Lots of guests too so it's rather difficult to socially distance as well. For around the same price as the admission here it's better to go to the Ontario Science Center for muchhhhh more.

Victor Perez

A lot of instagrammable areas and a few curiosities. Pros: - A few of the exhibits were new and interesting to me. - The tunnel that you go through was really fun for me. Cons: - Small. You will be in and out in 45 mins tops. We actually spent more time in the lobby playing with the little puzzles than inside the actual museum. - A lot of the exhibits were either things I had seen before or things that didn't have the impact I think they wanted it to have.

Elhgyne A.

The space was small. Good thing that they are controlling the amount of people who can come it. Would be best to come during off peak timesso you can take your time with each illusion. It was fun. Short but fun. Half an hour is enough to go through the place. But you may stay longer to really experience everything. The spinning room was our favorite. Worth visiting once just to pick on your brain. Cooler to visit with friends and families.

AZAM RIZWAN

Lasts like 3 minutes 25 seconds... The owner clearly things otherwise... The only way anyone spends 3 hours there is if they get bored and fall asleep... Thx

Maria Basca

Fun day, a little bit too small of a space for the entry fee they charge

Melissa Waterman

Really enjoyed the vortex tunnel and loved the illusionist. I still wanted to know how he was able to make that toonie appear on his phone ????The exhibits were a great concept. I just wish the venue was a lot bigger.

Amber Linkenheld

A fun instagrammable experience, but be aware it's not a huge place and for the ticket price we only spent about 30 minutes in there, so don't go in expecting a day out, but worth a look if you're feeling saucy.

Marecil Lim

Not bad. I was expecting big Museum, but it was just okay.

Amrit

Cool place to get some pictures, but the overall museum (as other reviews have stated) is underwhelming. I wouldn't suggest you don't go here, but I wouldn't advocate it for a night out. Maybe something to swing by to see?

Bilal Javed

Cool but small and more expensive then it should have been. A good way to kill an hour.

Dhiraj Bhagat

A place that should be in your must visit if you are from Toronto, ON or you visit Toronto. Too many illusions, very photogenic place, and give your mind a little spin next time you visit illusion. There is a small entry fee which is quite affordable and its worth paying.

Audrey Santos

Illusions! What our eyes see but our minds see differently! Very interesting

Candy Choi

I couldn't help but feel like it is only best experience on a quiet day with less of a crowd. Long lines at popular spots like the Tunnel and the Infinity Room took away from the experience of learning/trying cool illusions. Very family friendly activity as there are countless rooms for photo ops that can fit a big group together. Coat check is optional, with a room that is "leave at your own risk", letting people hang and take their own coats. Overall I'd say go once, during a weekday at an quiet hour like 3pm, but would not go again unless they add something new.

Eugene T

This was a fun place. It’s small but that’s fine because some illusions take its time to seep in. There’s a lot to look at and best to go with more than two people to have someone take photos while the other two can pose.

Ian H

Physical illusions are quite fun, the images are just stuff you can see online. Museum is short, but 4 stars off strength of the physical illusions.

khatija lohmani

It is an interesting place to experience. It is worth the visit once at least. It is a small museum and will take probably just 1 hour to go through everything.

Trisha Enriquez

I went with my family and we all had a blast! It was my daughter’s first experience with a museum like this and it was such a memorable one! We would definitely recommend a visit.

Cassandra BV

Super crowded and was rushed out, there were so many people in the last hour time slot that we did not get to visit everything and employees basically shoved us out the door. Horrible service and would not suggest coming here.

Stuart Sackler

This place has the illusion of being a tiny little museum! The reality is that it is truly captivating for its size. It's very easy to spend much more time here than you originally expect! Bring a couple of friends to get the full benefit of all the wondrous visual adventures :)

Henry You

Price is high compare to what they have, but still fun.

郑昊旻

Pretty small place, not exactly worth the money. If you want some cool instagram photos this is the place to go, otherwise browsing subreddit is probably more interesting than this.

Halal Food Addict

Really liked the experience. There was also someone there to take our pictures and assist with information. It is a bit small though but quite interesting.

Scott Ruddick

I was underwhelmed and, frankly, disappointed. The exhibits are interesting, but soon became repetitive. It's expensive for what you get. The space is small - think the first floor of a house and you get a sense of the dimensions - and the venue admitted so many people it was crowded to the point of being very uncomfortable. For the admission charged, it's not good value.

Constantin Tivig

Waste of money. This is a $3 ticket place. We (1 family) paid $95 to spend max 15-20 min to see some basic mirror setups and wall drawings. Good for kids, a stay-away for grownups.

Andrews tekhCHEK

Showed up earlier than our timed entry but didn't have to wait. Spent a good hour looking at all the exhibits. Very pleased with the value

AJ

This place is really cool. The illusions are very well done and I really appreciate how they have spots to take pictures from. The price is a bit high because there aren't as many illusions as I would have liked. The last illusions is a spinning room with a walk way and it made me sick. That's why I feel like this place is 4 out of 5 stars

Rahul Dutt

Absolutely no value for money and a complete rip-off. Ticket should not be more than $10. The museum is tiny and you are done within an hour.

Jas Gardner

Some pretty cool stuff inside, including alot of "hands on" puzzles. If we weren't in the midst of a pandemic, those puzzles might justify the cost of admission. In the meantime, unless your willing to risk touching something hundreds of people put their hands on everyday, the cost of entry is a little steep.

Shahrukh Khan

Overall a good experience. Much like a science centre but with two or three really good surprises. Price could have been bit lower though, considering the full tour is not that big.

Kefren Mertens

Utterly shocked at the admission price, given how small the place is. If you really push it, you'll be in and out in 45 minutes. Tops. Yes, the illusions are fun, but certainly not worth the 30 dollars for 30 minutes of entertainment. Spend your money elsewhere until admission is seriously reduced, it'll leave a sour taste to your visit.

JB Langaliya

It’s good to visit. They have lots of ides and illustrations! I just found it bit costlier compared to the attractions they have.

Emil

Exepot for the a bit spicy ticket and Its small size, Its okay

Melissa Langis

Similar to "Happy Place". Bad value for the money. 10-20 minute stay maximum and only good for Instagrammers (if you're a 24 year old looking for some fun stay away) , and I implore you to read reviews from fellow patrons, the owners responses are downright rude.

sharon krause

Meh. Wasn't as good as I was hoping. Displays were interesting I guess but not worth the price and could have easily finished all the exhibits in under half an hour... Was disappointing.

Conor Moonbat

Fantastic way to spend an hour. The optical illusion rooms are amazing and we'll worth the 20 bucks. Only issue is lack of parking in the general region, but that's to be expected in Toronto.

Leah Jones

Museum of Illusion is a fun experience and spot to check out when in Toronto. Lots of cool exhibits throughout the little Museum. Take your camera ???? and follow the guides set put to get the Illusion. Fun for all ages. It's a little spot …

Ricardo Caicedo

This place is a scam. Sure it had the illusions but don’t illuminate yourself with this place being a wonderland or an actual museum. Don’t recommend at all for events neither tourism just for casual walks.

cosmicyellow

Small but very fun. Worth a visit.

Hiren Bell

This place is getting busier and hot! You can find deals on few websites for this place. Awesome illusions for kids & fun for adults. You might need to visit few times to get some of the tactics of illusion. I would recommend to try it once.

Moe AlOthman

Illusions tricks are very nice BUT $25 per person is a little expensive and you must pay for your own street parking as a plus. I thought was a massive museum but actually its only 6-7 rooms. Friendly staff and cool vibes ????????

Ashley C

My friend bought tickets online for my birthday on March 14. We showed up for the scheduled time to a sign on the door, "closed until further notice." How are you selling tickets when you're closed?? An hour drive for nothing. Super disappointing.

George Brown

I recommend this place. It's not large but some of the exhibits are very fascinating and make great photo ops. Great place to bring a family and the staff is very helpful. Price is reasonable but make sure to get tickets because they sell out fast! However, as I mentioned earlier, very small space for the ticket price. I would like to leave of with I wish the place was bigger and more interactive arts but overall it was a good experience I wouldn't go again though unless they expanded.

Luciana Gil

It is really nice but pricey.

Marlene Ivazian

Some neat installations, and definitely Instagram worthy. Not worth the entry fee. But it was fun, and something to do!

Adrian P

This place has some cool exhibits/photo ops, but you can get through the entire place in 20-30 minutes. Not worth the price of admission.

Luksume Sarvananda

Very cool exhibits but totally not worth my money. The entire place ends before it begins; some people could feel claustrophobic. Not worth my money.

GRAY

The Museum of Illusions is a very unique and remarkable place. It's in a great location right down the street from St. Lawrence Market. Finding a parking spot was really easy and as long as you use Green P, it's inexpensive too. We enjoyed our visit immensely. It truly is, by far, one of the most fascinating and engaging museums my girlfriend and I have ever visited. There are so many different rooms, exhibits, a gift shop, and other things to enjoy. Plus, an incredibly talented magician named Steven Jones was performing live during our visit and that made it so much more unforgettable. We were all hella impressed by Steven's magic. We would visit again just to see his magic show!

K K

Informative cool museum... it takes about an hour and it’s fun

Your Body Talks with Jessy Morrison

Fascinating. Definately go with friends so you can interact and snap photos! Had a great afternoon playing, getting dizzy, and exploring perception is projection. Mind boggling. So cool.

Michelle Thompson

A great fun place in Toronto. Provided much entertainment for all ages (visited with 6 children under 10 years, parents and grandparents). Not too much to do, so doesn't take too long to do all the activities and see all the illusions. A lot of fun and quite educational for kids. Would recommend.

Lisa Fritz

The cost of admission doesn’t come close to making it worth it. There are a few cool things, but it is a VERY small space with not enough to justify paying almost $25 a ticket. Especially when you can see everything in a half hour. Pretty disappointed.

Eugene T

This was a fun place. It’s small but that’s fine because some illusions take its time to seep in. There’s a lot to look at and best to go with more than two people to have someone take photos while the other two can pose.

alex mckercher

Star rating based on bang for you buck. This place is worth $15 tops. Other then that, fun way to kill 40 mins.

Alireza Samiee

Giving two stars not because i had a bad experience but because it’s so small, limited, and over priced. Most of the stuff i saw there you usually can find on instagram for free. Def lacks diversity of activities. We had a good time but for the price and name i was expecting something more versatile and enjoyable. Had a few good shots but I wouldn’t recommend anyone planning to stick around for more than 20 to 30 minutes tops

Chris Levien

I really think the museum is fun, but I was anticipating something bigger. Fir the dollar value it would be better if they reduced the price. It should be $15 at best $8 for kids. But it was fun.

IRON STEEL

Nice place for kids. Very pricey for the amount of science things to do. Very small spot you can do and see everything within 15 minutes, for that reason that it's quite expensive.

marina strong

Loved the experience and all the illusions. So much fun!

Goran Popovic

This place is definitely a scam. There are maybe 1 or 2 interesting exhibits, the rest are are cheap printouts of optical illusion that you've seen online. They say people usually spend an hour to 90 minutes here, but you can experience everything in maybe 20 minutes tops. If this was 10 dollars, there would be no problems, but it's not, so don't come here. Edit: the owner response this review has gotten is ridiculous. I didn't rush my visit, there was just nothing to see. Also the ticket says a different price than what you pay online on their site.

Luie Ancheta

The Museum of Illusions were freakin' great! It blows my mind. There's a LOT of great arts that can be seen and it's very outstanding. Very fun.

Peter Reijmer

Nice small museum, great fun for the family. Fair price and nice layout. We spend about 75min there.

Rishabh Tolani

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. It costed 75 dollars for 3 people and we were done in less than 30 minutes. The illusions weren't the best and it was way to crowded. There were only a couple fascinating illusions and would not recommend going. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!

Maksim Yarota

It was very unique and entertaining experience. Lots of great illusions and opportunities for hilarious photos!

Olivia M Trivelli

It was fun but surely not worth $60 for 2 people to wall through. The ladies at the front said it should take us an hour and a half but my fiancé and I walked through it in about 30 minutes with interacting with the illusions. However it was still really cool and fun if you can look past the $ and time to get down town Toronto.

Imran Salahuddin

Tickets are expensive comparing with the size of the museum. The entire trip ended in half an hour.

Miriam Leah Schwartz

Fun museum, my kids had a great time. Good rainy day activity!

Simran Kaur

It was alright. I had expected a lot more somehow!

Design Your Fab Life

What a great experience visiting the museum of illusions. Lots of fun exhibits to experience both for adults and kids. And the illusionist on the weekend was absolutely amazing. Definitely a place to visit.

Julia Wehkamp

I am so excited to have discovered this place. My husband and I were just as enthralled as my kids... none of us could get enough and it is our new "happy place". Can't wait to go back. And everyone's getting passes to the Museum of Illusions from me for Christmas!

Stephen Skublics

$50 for library-book-calibre illusions with a few larger sets that were neat but clearly only for photo ops. Over-priced entry and cheap materials (scuff marks on the floor and chipping paint). You can definitely skip this and look at the same images online; just as satisfying and way less money.

Catherine Masou

It's an okay place with some fun activities. Not a main attraction, so if you are a visitor in Toronto I recommend you you skip this one.

Carsten

Great place!!! Quite small. Plan on 30-45 min max.

Larry Ellerton

Lots of interesting exhibits - many I'd seen before in other places (like the Ontario Science Center). Personally didn't think it was worth the admission price, especially when I thought I was getting a deal through American Express Front of the Line.

Fahima a

I enjoyed my time there, spent over an hour with all the illusions and puzzles. But is a small area exhibit , would have liked it if it were bigger.

Joanne Ly

Lots of fun! A must go with your friends. You will be amazed by everything

Assia Amnay

the whole tour lasted 10 min for like 30$ only to see the things found on internet, unless u wanna take a cool pic with the chair or whatever lol. Biggest disapointment. I rarely leave reviews so trust me dont go there and buy yourself a nice dinner instead while watching optical illusions on youtube, same effect guaranteed ! ???????? Edit as I was not able not directly reply to the owner: I was there early before it started to be overly crowded so I was able to check everything out and the experience was incredibly short. it was very small . I am not one of your friend or a guide to leave a fake review. I had already seen all the optical illusions on the internet for free; you know those optical illusions your friend sends you on facebook, except this time you pay to see them lol . The chair, the head illusion were nice, all the rest of the '"over 70 illusions" you mentionned were for kids maybe. I cant imagine an adult enjoying it for real.

jill sy

Smaller place than i thought it would be but just as entertaining. Mind the time you go as it can get packed regardless if they impose the limit on number of people inside at one time

Irina

I have to tell the place is small. We spend 30-40 min to walk around and it was a maximum that you can stay there. On the positive side it is very clean and bright. I would recomend to go there with one child or with a friend to be able to go trough all exhibits together, ovrewise some of the piople will go ahead and quickly become bored waiting others. I was there with my 8 year old, she liked it a lot.

Marcus Macedo Fischer-Hardinge

It would have been more fun if there was more room and less people in there. To be honest, I think 20 CAD per adult is a little high a price for a 20 min tour.

MAYANK PATEL

Not worthy it according to the ticket purchase.

June Bremner

Like others have mentioned, it is smaller than I thought it would be but my kids enjoyed the activities and made the most of the puzzles and exhibits. We went thru everything in a half hour and then went back and took more time the second time around but an hour is really all the time you need here.

Antonietta Voci

It was much smaller than I thought, but was alot of fun and educational for the kids. The staff members are very friendly and helpful.

Livi Souza

I went with my family and we all had a great time. Kids are asking to go back already! To me it is more than a fun place to take pictures. We took the time to read the notes beside each exhibit and learned a lot in our visit. Well done!

Alicia B

I visited the museum as a family with a party of 4. I wasn't sure what to expect but as far as museums go, this is one of the smallest with perhaps 2, arguably 3, rooms. Each exhibit had a 2 min max time to view. The exhibits were primarily small posters or display stands where you look and see if you can spot the illusion. This is not a good place to take someone who has vision problems like astigmatism, depth perception issues, or colour blindness (depending on the type). It was not worth the cost. All illusions can be found online or in illusion books. I had previously encountered all of them before in school, educational shows, or via internet shares. I would have liked to see more about the neurology, history, and practical applications of the illusions.

T S

Over priced. Boring. 45 mins of time or less. Most illusions everyone has either seen on Instagram or already knows. The only 2 attractions that were fun was the room that felt like you were falling and the other one being u walking in the tunnel and made you feel very out of this world. Their prices should drop $7-$10 due to the fact each room is about 4 minutes long. Unless you love puzzles, illusions that are known, and want to spare 45 minutes to go and spend $23.50 for fun then this place is for you. I would not recommend to anyone. Unless you’re a puzzle lover.

Michael C

Along the lines of Ripley's museums, lots of fun sites and amusements to occupy an hour. It gets really packed at the top of each hour as a new group comes in though, making it hard to take ideal photos at those times.

Mike Stewart

Loved it. You. Gotta. Go. NOW!!!

Lisa Bourque

Unfortunately, there was a camp group of unruly children that put a damper on our visit. Interesting exhibits, but for the price, I expected it to be bigger, and have more.

Meredith Skinner

No social distancing, people taking off masks and exhibits that were broken or very worn

Farnaz Mirza

I have been there twice. Once with family and once without. My boys are 9 and 8 year old and absolutely loved the experience. There is alot to do only if you are into this kind of experience. We stopped and looked at each Illusions. As a family we tried to experimebt each and we had great fun!

Tamara Balazsovits

I had a great time visiting the Museum of Illusions in downtown Toronto. i love that they use their space so well, there are so many different illusions and activities available everywhere you look. I love how Instagrammable this place is. I will be back and I recommend this to anyone thinking of planning a visit.

Malay Upadhyay

Great pieces of illusions stacked up in this space for an hour of fun. Few will amaze you, like the rotating tunnel that makes you feel you're gonna fall even though you're standing straight. Worth a visit.

Sabrina Paez-Parent

Good for a quick visit with kids. The illusions are fun, but crowded spaces makes it hard to fully appreciate them and take your time.

Maher Safadi

Very exciting place, fun for couples. The place isn't very big. If you've never been, it's one of those places you should definitely try out

Bhavin Ahirekar

Very nice place to visit, there is lot of things in this museums with great illusions. Specially it will make you fell like you are in some kind of science fiction movie or something or in virtual game. But the price for tickets is expensive only it’s downfall.

Deeh Vee

Liked it, but so small for the price you paid.

Ezra

Paid 85 bucks for 3 adults and it was fun but the museum was tiny. Like a small house. There weren't as many interactive installations as I thought there would be, regardless it was fun but my family went through the whole place in less than 20 mins when I've heard people usually stay for 1 hour and having paid $85 i expected more....

Marelle Bergsma

Smaller than expected, but very fun!

Robert Filart

More of a novelty attraction place than an educational experience, similar to the kitschy attractions you'll find at Niagara Falls. Not very large; it there aren't any line ups for the activities, you'll be in and out in 15-20 minutes, so it's definitely pricey. Many of the illusions are common ones that most people have seen before. The bigger, photo opportunity activities are kind of neat, and can actually be disorienting. Our main issue is with the accompanying descriptions for the activities. A lot of the times you have to read the descriptions to know what you're supposed to be doing, but it kills the illusion because your brain is already aware of the trick. It's not well thought out at all. I would suggest big title cards above each illusion that asks the questions like "Which line is longer?" or "Will this box fit in this shape?"

Shalana Switzer

Really fun for all ages. Only takes about an hour or hour and a half to see everything. Many photo opportunities! Well laid out to explain everything and help you get the most out of your experience there.

Gayathri Jillellamudi

One of the best places to visit. Your family especially kids will thoroughly enjoy each and every part in the museum.

Optimus Brine

Tickets were expensive, place was crowded, didn't really find the illusions much fun. Wouldn't go back a 2nd time.

Alex Diaz

Fun place with 70+ illusions but the place is too small. You can finish it in 1 hour. They should add more illusions like in New York and Dubai to justify the high ticket price.

I cannot begin to describe how overly priced this is. I was shocked to realize how small the place was, I was honestly expecting more rooms and illusions for the price they are asking per head. It's ridiculously expensive for what it has to offer. Nonetheless, putting the price aside, it is fun, specially for kids. You can do the whole thing in about 30 minutes max.

Pamela Luzny

Interesting & fun, but very short as it was only 2 rooms

Christian Khuong

Had a great time with the kids going through the different setups. Lots of interesting effects for the kids to try

Prithish Poojari

Gr8 place to burn some 10- 15 minutes. Dont keep a high hope as the number of things/stuff to do is very less. The whole exploration doesnt take more then 15 minutes. Overall pretty good little steep on price.

Mariam Kubba-Martino

This is a very cool place and an awesome experience. The illusions are fascinating and I loved how they were explained. There are staff who can take pictures for you which is very helpful. There are also spots on the ground to tell you where you should stand to capture the perfect illusion photo. It’s a fun experience for sure. The space is organized and you can walk around comfortably. It’s best to get tickets in advance online because the space gets maxed out quickly. When you buy online tickets you have to choose your entry time slot but you can stay for as long as you want.

Deenuka Kasi

Loved this place, perfect for date night, family night or just a fun outing with friends! So many fun illusions/mind tricks that really get you thinking! Staff is so kind and always offering to take pictures and help explain the illusion.

Catherine Dove

This collection of illusions materialized was fun to visit on family day. Lots of people and a bit claustrophobic but good for a laugh here and there. Sort of seems like it should be a traveling exhibit in a wing of a major gallery.

Faisal Khan

Fun place to go with a group. Some of the exhibits are really great and with a bigger group you'll have enough people to take pictures. All in all a good couple of hours.

GRANRAPPA Not your Average Moe.

Small space!! Parking cost me $32. Steven Jones illusionist was great for adult and our 5y.o and 3y.o. Interesting concepts. Needed more guidance on each display; Maybe because our kids was distracting, so couldn’t read all instructions.

Vaun Fraser

Great place to visit for a fun night out with friends or family. It's not very time consuming so it's good if you're randomly looking for something to do.

Akil Jacobi

Not as impressive as I imagined...but cool little place to visit before a nice dinner. Some of the wooden puzzles are old and one gave me a splinter. Staff did say they will fix that.

Xoan A

Really cool place with amazing illusions. Great for all ages; I took my 2 year-old and he loved it. Only issue is the entry fee; it's a bit too high.

Ira

I really liked going here but even intentionally going at very leisurely pace it took less than an hour to see and do everything. It's quite expensive considering how little time you'll actually spend here.

Sarah lynn

My partner and I were heading downtown to see a play so we thought we would stop by here first for something more interactive. The staff was friendly, even letting us come a bit late as we were stuck in traffic and our tickets had expired. The facility is clean and in good condition. I agree that it was WAAAAYYYY TOOOO PRICY for a 30 min walkthrough AT BEST and on top of that, many illusions were printouts of things you can easily print off of your computer at home. We did take a few cute pictures but felt a little rushed by other guests to wrap up our photo ops quickly. Lastly, we would like to recommend that you do a double date as many of the illusions are hard to take pictures of without a third person. We walked out kind of saying "thats it????"

cassie frazer

Very cool! We were a mixed-age group and all had a great time. Our brains were a little foggy afterwards but we enjoyed a sit-down in a local restaurant which helped to put a great night together.

Oacia Fair

I had a good time because my friend and I made the most out of this experience. I think it is too pricy based on what they have to offer, but we took our time in the museum. It is small, but it's still interesting and fun. I would definitely go to other locations to get a better experience in a larger location. But it's worth to check out.

Ryan and Nicholas Yeung

Went here for an Art trip and it was amazing, great place for education and for instagram. Also some of the illusions really mess with your head

Ayo Sosanya

Really cool place though it’s pretty small

Abhishek Anand

As previous contributors have mentioned, the place is a one time visit. It is a small space with 5 - 6 major attractions and can be covered in about an hour. Conveniently located on Front Street and at a walking distance from Lawrence Market and Gooderham building. I would recommend visiting in groups of atleast 2 - 3 to be able to take pictures (selfies would be no help). Also, the ticket is a bit pricey given the offering but there is a good deal available on Travelzoo.

Steve Knights

A great place for a couple or bring the entire family. There is enough to do here that you can expect to spend about an hour interacting with the exhibits. My wife and I enjoyed the illusions and the flow was great even on a weekend (you didn't have to wait to see/use the illusions. I recommend Museum of Illusions.

Justin Visser

$53 for 2 people to attend. You need to book ahead or be a walk in and wait till a scheduled time. The schedule seems kind of pointless as it's pretty busy and crowded inside with little kids and tweens running around. The advertises "over 70 illusions" but it seems like much less. Maybe they count the mind puzzle games as illusions??? Overall there isn't much to see, it's a little bigger than the size of an apartment and is way overpriced for what you get. They are also super basic illusions shown. The place feels like a pop-up wannabe Instagram influencer picture/content farm rather than a museum.

Koutheir Attouchi

Small but still impressive and fun, worth a single visit though. It's also a good idea for kids (probably 4 years old and older).

Cesar Zea

It was a super fun experience! To be honest, I thought it would be lame. How can a place with some visual illusions be fun? What makes it fun is the interactive nature of the illusions. Quite well done, well located, and decent price. Go without a lot of stuff (backpacks, purses , etc.) Totally recommended.

Zara Jafri

I agree with most of the reviews here saying it's not worth the price. The exhibit is small and very simple.

Gere George

Some real cool exhibits. Get ready to feel a little dizzy and nauseated though. You can go through most of what this museum has to offer in less than an hour. I do wish they had at least twice the number of exhibits. Would have justified the entry costs.

Trevor Ramnath

Cool place but a little small and quick to finish. You will stay around 1 hr.

Brian Upward

Good to go at least once, but go with friends or family (or a work outing). Went with a group from work and had fun took us about 30 minutes to go through to the end.

Matt Limoges

Chock full of mind boggling brain teasers and optical illusions. Had a fantastic time here and highly recommend a quick trip if you have an hour to spend. Grab some friends for the skewed room to get some insane photos.

Emily Coles

Had such a great time! There's a lot of really cool illusions and activities. Great for people of all ages, singles, or families! Spoke with one of the owners and she was so kind and friendly! Would definietly reccomend for a fun day outing

Igor Babiy

What a great place to spend a couple of hours! Many interesting installations, friendly staff that can help you take photos. Loved it!

Ana Marasovic

A colleague of mine and I took our Art and Business Students to the Museum. It was a great experience. The students really enjoyed themselves and learned a lot. Carlo and the staff were amazing. I highly recommend this Museum. 5 STARS!!!!

kilerseb117

A bit pricy for the amount of stuff it offers but it's still cool to see

Annesha Bhowmik

I went to museum of illusions on their 2nd day of opening because that’s how excited I was for this exhibit. My friends and I loved every part of this museum. Thank you for bringing this to Toronto. I highly recommend going, you will have a mind-blowing experience.

Ivana

Very fun and cool museum. Great selection of puzzles and games. The illusions were definitely my favorite part of the visit! Staff was very accommodating and pleasant.

Shreyas Pradhan

Amazing place to be with friends and family. All the illusions are very interactive and fun filled and there is always something to surprise you at every corner. Live performance by Steven the illusionist was a cherry on the top! You will always leave this place with a smile on your face no matter how many times you visit!

Marty Duke

Neat little illusions but way too short for the price

Renee Antoine

Fun and interesting way to spend some time. Really cool experiments with the theories behind them included. Great photo opportunities and helpful staff. A bit a smaller than expected but was highly recommended

Michelle Hwu

Disappointing and expensive. Most sections were just pictures of illusions that you have probably seen on the internet. Was expecting more room installations but there were only about 3. There weren't enough interactive displays, and many of the ones you could touch were damaged / not well maintained. Environment overall felt janky; poor/cheap lighting was just fluorescent beams, and ceilings were low. Not worth it for anyone over 10 years old. It only takes 30 minutes to go through all the material.

Ashlee P

Great place for a date night, girls night or to take the kids. Everyone can enjoy this place. Our favourite was walking on the ceiling.

Toronto 2275

Amazing experience at the Museum of Illusions Toronto! Nothing like this in the city and it was refreshing to see something new. This is for all age groups and we definitely will plan to come and visit again. A must see while in Toronto.

Marla Minshall

Amazing place. Small but well set up. Careful in the vortex that one will make you dizzy.

Rolex Taing

Incredible museum, lots of stuff to try and be surprised about!! loved using my brain to solved some problems and discover new ways to think.

Mike Reisacher

Fun place, great illusions, but a little pricy for the overall content.

Ayo Sosanya

Really cool place though it’s pretty small

Joshua Ruehle

Tiny bit of photo opportunities for maybe one or two social media posts but the exhibit was tired and small and boring honestly. Very small with a quick turnaround as it’s really only one room, somewhat limited things to see or do. Not worth the price tag (even with a groupon I used) just for a couple of pictures at the end of the day. I’d rather take my ticket price to ripleys aquarium to enjoy more fun and better things to see or do... or even just blow 30 dollars on food as it would be a better way for me to spend my time and see value. Will never be returning and honestly urge people to go and experience somewhere.... anywhere else as it has no value. I had more fun walking 15km around the streets of Toronto and that was free!

Steve Benmor

My daughter and I just came back from the Museum of Illusions. It was absolutely amazing. This is a hidden Toronto treasure. If you’re looking for a fantastic way to entertain yourself and other members of your family, whether adults, children or seniors, this museum is the place to spend the afternoon.

never ains

The place is decent and small. Worth going once as you can experience the entire place pretty quickly.

ida oz

A very fun experience. Worth visiting once. Specially for kids

Susana Veronica Campos

An amazing educative and interactive experience. My kids and I loved the visit. I’m glad there’s a new attraction right here in Toronto that is like nothing here before. Adults would find this just as amazing and there are even puzzles for purchase that you can test out before you purchase them to bring the fun home. Highly recommend for everyone

agata dratwa

Super Awsome time-great illusions. Fun for both adults and kids. Love the limited ticket availability so it’s not too crowded!

Farima Shakibi

It is for sure a great and engaging place, I enjoyed most of the pieces , it would be better if it was bigger with more activities. In total it is worth the visit. You will enjoy spending time there.

bart barcewicz

It was really cool but the price was a bit much

Filza Arshad

Sooo much fun! I went with my cousins and it was an amazing experience! I would definitely recommend going, it’s worth the money

Melanie L.

Quite small space and I can see how busy it could get - they have timed tickets to prevent this, I think. We spent maybe 30 mins in total and paid $20pp. I’ve been to something similar in Korea and in comparison, this was lacking - not that many exhibits, very small space and pricey.

Aras Senlier

Magical place! This place will blow your mind cause it’s pure science and optical illusions. I think families with kids and fans of social media will love it! Don’t skip it. You will thank me!

Emir

It is a fun experience but the place was too crowded when we were there. It's pretty small compared to our expectations.. And I don't think that it's worth the price.. pretty pricey

Nada Boubekri

The museum is so much fun, you are advised to read the games description. It is nice to visit with kids. The games are nice to buy, yet expensive...

Mansoor Haqanee

I agree with another reviewer about this place being a ripoff. The staff is friendly so I gave two stars but out of all 70 exhibits (didn’t feel like 70 exhibits) only about five are things you have not seen online or in some book scholastics sold in elementary school. 70% of them being cheap printouts. This is NOT worth $30. I would have given 5 stars if it was less than $10, but it is a complete scam at $30 per ticket. What’s good: Coat check room

Areeba K

It has a couple of cool illusions. The staff was very rude in general, esp the girl with short curly hair. She woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Not worth $30 tickets with tax. Best for pictures but even after checking vaccinations, they didn’t let anyone take masks off even for a photo..which is fine but there’s a nice way to let someone know they can’t take their mask off even for a photo. Yet all the kids were running around without the masks unvaccinated. This entire place is only cool for pictures. We’re allowed to take masks off at movies, gyms, theatres etc. People, don’t waste your money here. The tickets should be like $10 max; overpriced for how small it is. Poor service. I’m giving it 1 star but should be 0 due to the curly hair rude girl.

swylamanski

Not worth the price! Very tiny couple of rooms with mostly plaques on the wall. There are only 4 or 5 cool, instagram-worthy displays out of the 70 illusions. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Warren Chiasson

Great museum with lots of brain puzzles and funny illusions!

Fábio Gomes

The visit is short and don't take up to an hour. Go with someone as some experiences are done accompanied. The vertigo corridor was awesome, watch out for you can get dizzy. The other illusions are classics.

Shazmin M

Very cool concept! Loved the illusions and stickers on the floor to guide you in taking mystical photos. Too small - left us wanting more!

jeff session

had a great time, the vortex made me a little dizzy but was fun overall. some great illusions, didn't need the whole hour and i would suggest 30 min tickets but still had a fun time.

mary-kate olsen

It was cool, but it wasn't as big as I thought, and there was only 1 room that was upside down. I was expecting more but it was still a cool tourist attraction to visit. If you like brain teasers or puzzles, its definately a place for you. If you don't, I wouldn't recommend it.

Iris Gon

Took my 7yr old daughter and we had a good time. Though you it was a bit hard keeping social distance. Over all had a good time.

Terry Gunness

Very interesting attraction. Kids had a great time. Be sure to read instructions at every station to get the full effect. Could have had more exhibits however.

Martina Pranjic

Visited the museum with friends, we all loved it! Took a whole bunch of amazing pictures, the infinity room is the best! The staff is really helpful with explaining the exhibits and taking pictures, so it would be as much fun if I came alone. I'm definitely coming back with my family.

Haroon Mirheydari

I wish the place was bigger and more interactive arts but overall it was a good experience i wouldn't go again tho unless they expand to more illusion. It would be nice if they had food to serve like little appetizers. Took 20 min to go through the showroom.

Niki Rai

Its a rip off for the price..nothing great...infact, we keep getting these on the internet or watsapp forwards..I would like my money refunded.....sorry to say, u don't even remember who is giving you the review...i am not giving feedback about the employees there..they r pretty good..what i didn't think was worth were the so called 'illusion games/activities"...We havemost of them in the net these days...

Say Lor

I am so disappointed by the rating of this unique, family and friend friendly spot. I think the ticket cost may be the biggest detractor to their rating. We had a girl’s day out visit, and had a blast. Human ingenuity on display in so many brilliant ways. All three of us thought it was well worth it. Instagram friendly with helpful tips on capturing your best moments. I highly recommend for a rainy or cold winter day, or even an escape from summer heat for a couple of hours of entertainment! I only had personal photos of the more elaborate activations, but here is one activation that is simple but so intriguing!

Anastasia

Me and my friends had a great time exploring the illusions and games. Some illusions were very tricky which made it even more fun! Awesome place, would definitely recommend. And of course thanks to the staff who were very welcoming and helped us explaining some of the puzzles and illusions!

Jaimish Ashar

A really cool place! They've got an array of exhibits of different illusions. Some of which you may know but many that you won't. They also have small puzzles that you can solve in and around the museum. I'd recommend going with atleast one other person if you want to get some cool photos.

Barbara C

So fun!!! I took my nephews here and they didn't want to leave! It's small enough that I could let them run around and explore on their own without having to worry. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different to do in the city.

Fernando Torres

Overpriced for what you're seeing. It has cool illusions that will mess with your head.

tamara balazsovits

Great experience. Take cool photos. Fun activity with the family. I recommend the museum of illusions.

jade yeah

Super cool, a lot more things in there than what I thought would be. 5 stars for sure

Fran W

Not worth the $75 I paid for me , my husband and my daughter for seriously....ONE hour. It took us less than hour to go through the whole place. We drove all the way from Hamilton and were extremely disappointed.

Ada D

Truthfully, while there are a few great illusions, it took us 20 min to go through the whole exhibit...you get in and all of the sudden you are done. Not worth the money this place charges for admission...go to the ROM or AGO instead.

Crystal T

Tip #1: Save your money, you can find most of this stuff online. For $30, it's pretty much a rip off for such a small number of exhibits. There were a couple (maybe 2-3) of good exhibits but that's it. Tip #2: If you do come and you're paying for parking at half hour increments, you only need to pay for an hour, tops. 30min if you're like us. Claiming you can spend an hour here is really pushing it. Overall, for the price of 30 bucks, they should've at least had 2 times if not 3 times the number of exhibits. They did have a couple fun exhibits like the vortex, and a few illusion rooms but it still definitely did NOT justify the price. NOT a must see, but if you're willing to pay the money you can get a couple good pics for IG, I guess.

Leslie Thurston

Expensive for me, but a nice little array of illusions to enjoy. I especially like the interactive ones. Touching and being a part of the illusion is fun. Too small!

A. J.

Underwhelming. Not worth the ticket price. Tiny exhibit with interesting stuff but absolutely nothing new. Super crowded, whats the point for timed entries...some of the installations were poorly executed too (eg glare that wouldn't let you see what you know you are supposed to see). If you've never dealt with optical illusions this might interest you, otherwise it's just the really obvious ones in a small venue. Then nobody oversaw what was going on in the closed door installations nor controlling ppl reentering where not allowed (eg spinning tunnel) . I witnessed an older couple that stayed in the infinity room for way too long while people were waiting outside (all signs read "2-min limit", they evidently didn't care). The most disturbing part was that when this couple was asked by a woman for their turn, she was yelled at but not a single member of the staff from this "museum" did anything nor seemed to care.

Silvia Monti

Very Nice and fun experience, interesting too, something to see even though it's very small place, but it's plenty of interesting objects and activities!

Liam Ryan

While the museum is interesting at times, many of the exhibits fall short of mind blowing. It is upsetting because there are some spectacular illusions that I would have loved to see implemented. Also, the mind blowing illusions I did come across were oftrn attached to time limitations.

Rivky Good

Cool exhibits but super small. Can't really spend more than 45 min there so it's pretty expensive.

Miisz I

Place is small. I expected more for the fee that I paid. Only 2 stars.

Stephane Roy

A little pricey but a good venue to go and see the Illusions are quite amazing but it speaks about one and a half hours to get through the thing and the staff are really friendly take time and enjoy

Scott Musson

Some interesting illusions. Went Tuesday afternoon so no crowds. Very small so finished in about 45 minutes. Looked at every exhibit. Only concern is it is a bit pricey. Over $50 for 2 of us.

Olivia Falcone

We had such a phenomenal experience and really enjoyed all the illusions at this fantastic Toronto Museum. My group consisted of my parents (60+) and my 3 kids and all of us were blown away. A must see.

A R

Not a place to go if you dont yave kids under 10. My teenagers didn't like it at all. Especially the price for 20 mins it's over 100 for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Carling Amanda

Interesting and fun activity for an afternoon! There were many interactive and interesting displays to be seen. My only complains are that the museum was a little overpriced for the size of the space and the number of displays. Even with a discount i still paid $25 for one ticket and i felt that that price didn't reflect the overall experience. I also went to the museum in a late afternoon slot, between 5-6pm and it was WAYY overcrowded. perhaps an early morning or late evening slot would have been better. During the hour i was there the crowds were very overwhelming and i found myself standing around a lot in lines to get a chance to be a part of the interactive displays. Furthermore, a number of the illusions were images that i've seen before on the internet or in books which was a little disappointing. Overall interesting but i probably wouldn't recommend it to others. the money would be better spent at the ROM where there is much more to be seen.

Quality Precision

2 Adults, 2 seniors and a 13 year old....$150.00. We were in and out after 25 minutes after spending ample time on each exhibit. Way too expensive for what it is.

Amrita Nagarajan

I think that there has been a lot of thought into this innovative idea and has been executed pretty well. We managed to occupy ourselves at this museum for a couple hours and there are a decent number of puzzles and illusions to go through. It is generally not too busy as you are expected to book your ticket in a particular time slot. However, we found the tickets pretty expensive just for a museum. It is definitely something different and would recommend going here.

Liza Stinton

Just ok. If you live in the city and have done it all, it’s something to do. But it was crowded and all the people ruin your photos, and they should have staff manning each station to grab a cool photo of you and your friend(s)

Rumi’s Journey

I saw many bad reviews online but I liked the place. It's a small place with 6-7 rooms but it's worth it only if you have a aptitude towards puzzle solving. Wooden puzzles were very interesting.

Dan Kennedy

Took our 10 yr old Grandson there today.. it was a neat place to see and you can spend as much time in there as you want. Wasnt too busy . I think there are about 75 or so things to see. We had a good time. I give it 4 stars as I feel it might be a bit over priced for what it really is . However.. you won't have a bad time ..

Christina Ly

What an amazing experience at the museum of illusions located downtown toronto. Before you enter each room or area there's a description on how to see the illusions if you have trouble there's a great team on the floor to help you out. Love it!

Youssef Chahdi El Ouazani

I really liked the different illusions games there, but wasn't much.

eatozluklu

I think it's over priced for the size of the place and how much time you can really spend there. I would rather pay the money on a ticket to a full sized art gallery or something. But honestly they had about 3 or 4 amazing interactive displays.

Travelwithcc _

DO NOT COME HERE!! If I could give a 0 I would. Once we entered front staff was EXTREMELY RUDE!! Staff were following us as if we were shoplifting and giving us attitude the entire time we had a question. ALSO been to the other illusion exhibits (WORST ONE SO FAR) 15 min activity. WASTE OF MONEY.

Emma Johnston

Amazing and fascinating. Thoroughly enjoyed the day out with my friends. It was a little small but the warp tunnel and the mirror room made up for it.

Thayne Latour

Three stars it could be bigger. The problem is the whole museum is smaller then expected but lots of fun. Tons of things to read and games to play exhibits to try out.

Robert Mark

Not quite the venue we had expected, considering the price of admission. How do they justify the cost? We spent less than an hour inside and went to each exhibit twice!

Josefina Richardson

Fantastic place! Excellent customer service, efficient process.

Dylan Brady

Times are scheduled to make sure everyone gets to look at all of the exhibits and experience them yourselves so be prepared. It was a fun experience, but I could only go once. Most items from about the museum were from my childhood illusion books and things I have now seen countless renditions of online. Went with friends and had a great time only wish it was larger with some more standout stuff. Had some nice picture taking chances but there were still too many people around to get to some of them.

Chris Escalona

This was a great experience! Very clean & clever. Definitely busy on the weekends. Maybe avoid coming with younger kids (5yrs & under) There is a certain level of attention that is needed to keep their interest. BUT, great to go with friends or on a date night. Try not to skip anything & it'll be worth the price. When taking pictures, remember to stand on the spots chosen by the Illusion Artists (the pics will just make more sense once taken/viewed) There is a tiny gift shop at the entrance, free coat check (big closet of a room but no actual checking in/out) There is a washroom & there is parking on the east side of the building ($7 All day on weekend)

Psy Merc

It's a pretty neat place but not worth the cost honestly. Prices were 23.50 CAD when we went and I felt like that was too high for how small the museum was. But the exhibits are cool.

Matthew Luchitti

Doesn’t take an hour to see every illusion. This is the biggest scam in toronto. You pay $28 to basically see 10 illusions and the rest are lame puzzles lol. Also DONT CHECK YOUR COAT. As we left someone’s coat got stolen. They pressure you to do coat check, but anyone is allowed in the back and it’s not monitored so people steal them easily. If you are debating on coming here, save your money and time and don’t. You can literally do anything else and it’ll be more fun. Also they definitely have a third-party company providing fake reviews.

Adepa Singh

Terrible customer service, the operator was rude and unhelpful. I got frustrated and told her that I would figure it out since she offered no help and then I said thank you bye and she just hung up without saying anything. I was actually trying to get help to visit the museum since the website wasn't working on my end but she was just not having it. I decided not to go since I couldn't purchase tickets and the point of contact for the museum was just off-putting with her rudeness on the phone.

Alice Lee

I arrived to the museum excited to finally see it. Later to realized that my two hour commute was wasted. The company could have made an effort to notify people via social media or their website..

Yaser Shaikh

Not what I expected. Very small and crammed with people. Don’t know why we had to book a time slot as the place was overcrowded anyways and people were just walking in without paying. Would not recommend

Katherine Caspersz

Super cool place! My boyfriend and I went here after seeing tons of pictures on Instagram and I’d say it was a pretty cool experience. We went midday on a weekday so it wasn’t busy there at all, and we were able to take our time looking at each exhibit. We got some really cool photos and had a great time! There’s also a coat check there which is nice. The only thing I’d say is the ticket price is a bit high for the size of the attraction, in my opinion, but it’s not a huge issue (not enough to remove a star or anything). I’d recommend going here if you’re curious to check it out, it was really fun!

Maja Letina

Perfect date! Fun and busy! The staff was amazing at helping us figure out what the hell we were doing! I would absolutely come here again.

Star Viewer

It’s a great experience for kids , I expected it to be bigger . But very interesting material. My 12 year old son had a great time there .

Alan Suen

Fun little place! We saw many people posting photo of this place and we wanted to experience the magic as well. The place did not disappoint, it was a nice small studio with fun facts and some places you can take interesting photo. Although ticket price are towards the expensive side (dollar for dollar I definitely would say ROM has much more educational value) but then again after seeing all the photo we made, we can only say the place gave us memories more than knowledge! Expect approx an hour of visit.

Vincenzo Ruso

This show is terrible, do not waste your money I would not pay $20 to see this show, never mind the $200 I paid. Very disappointed ☹️

Karin Blom

Great illusions.. But, tbh, a quite small place.. Or.... We missed a hidden door perhaps..

Monica K

It has some interesting illusions and there is a card illusionist that wanders around and does some awesome slight of hand. The pitfall is that it gets really busy even though they give you a timeslot and long lines start forming to get into the illusion rooms. It gets hard to take pictures because people keep blocking the illusions. This place is only good of you come early and want to take some pics for your social media. It's also smaller than expected for the price of admission.

Daniel Gillespie

Cool place to check out ... Buy your tickets online, they do sell out for the day. We got lucky and they fit us in; but had to wait 20 mins. Crazy fun place, lots of neat illusions!

Jamie Martin

Good for all ages ..kids, teens, AND adults ...alot of activities that will keep you busy for sure. Came in for a 30 years olds birthday since it was close to the birthday dinner spot and had a blast! Great location downtown!! JKM

Geoffrey Mariette

This is a really fun place but how expensive it is for the duration… you’re done with the all museum in 30 min, 1 hour if you redo everything (specially if you’re with a child). If the place was bigger the note will be much higher

Paul Guthrie

It was interesting, deft worth the trip once. Me and my gf went with my aunt and uncle to check it out. It was interesting and we spent about an hr there. The only problem I have with it was the price 30$ a person is a little steep for what it is. Considering we went to the Ripley's aquarium the next day for 40$ a person and it was way more interesting and you can easily spend a couple hours at Ripley's

philip sharratt

The staff were super nice here, I brought my kids aged 10 and 12 for a day in Toronto and this place made our day. Lots of things to see and take pictures of. The place is small and pricey but hey its worth it.

Ajay Gupta

Amazing.. one of the best place I have been to in Toronto. It was really fun, knowledgeable stuff inside. All the illusions are amazing. Really loved it and had fun Staff was friendly and spending time inside was fun. Every dollar paid was worth it

ahmari kozmick

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, the place is filthy, staff are extremely rude and The place is Over crowded. Not worth the any amount of $ as the illusions are basic and with terrible service and dust/dirt everywhere.

Roger Ayoub

Fun, great for kids and adults alike. Small and short though (1 hr to finish). Wish it was longer for the price you pay.

Anon Ymous

Fun but ultimately small, crowded, and overpriced. If you must visit it just to experience it once then by all means do, but it's not a place I would return to again and again. First of all, it's highly recommended you buy tickets in advance online. I waited until the day before thinking I could just go right in but I read people recommended advance tickets so I did and I am glad I did because when we went there was a sign on the door saying that it was sold out for the day unless you already had purchased tickets. We went about an hour before our scheduled time and were let in with no problems. It was very busy and so we didn't get a chance to really see everything or want to, in the end I just wanted to get out of there and away from the crowds. For instance, I didn't see all the smaller exhibits on the walls and the crowd to get into the "colour room" was insane and completely unregulated so people were all mixing in together and I just left...perhaps having a barrier to have an organized line would help. There was also a line to get into the infinity room and some people spent way too long in there, really you just go in and see the pretty coloured lights and leave, no need to overstay. There was also a long line to get into the spinning tunnel attraction but it moved fairly well. We did get some good and funny pictures, and people looked like they were having fun and happy, but overall you can be in and out in just about half an hour and for a family of 3 to pay $80 for that I think is just overpriced. Perhaps it would be more enjoyable when the crowds die down after the enthusiasm of visiting a still new attraction. For now it's been there, done that, and not going back.

Alex N

This is a great place for people of all ages. 3 starts because admission was quite expensive ($28) and the exhibit was very small. It really takes 1 hour to go through it all at most. There are many other places that offer a larger exhibit at a much lower cost.

Nida Khawaja

This museum has some really neat illusions. Each illusion has a tiny plaque beside it, giving you more details of what you are seeing. Onsite puzzles to do, which you can also purchase at the store which is located right in the entrance when you walk in. This place was smaller than expected and can really take just twenty minutes or less to walk through, depending on how busy it is and if you decide to spend time working on puzzles. Tickets are overpriced for the overall experience.

Gil Feliciano

Small sapce full of fun

S Hughes

We had a lot of fun. It is like no other museum I have been too. It is good to plan it a bit of time for the puzzle room where you wait to go in (unless it's not busy) lots of opportunities to take fun photos. Plan to spend about 1.5 hours. It might seem pricy to some but if you try every single exhibit and the puzzles it's worth it. Staff were careful to make sure it didn't get packed in the rooms too. Really easy to find as it's just across the rd from St Lawrence Market.

Graham

This place is amazing. I brought my younger sister here for her birthday and we had an absolute blast. Lots of interactive illusions and crazy cool photo opportunities. I think we ended up spending almost two hours there, taking it all in.

chelsea tabert

Cool place, very small though and kind of expensive for what you get to see. Limited interactive activities

Shoika Thomas

This place is amazing but i will give 3 stars because so expensive to go in $60 for two persons not much to see need more illusion stuff but overall some cool stuff wouldn't go back unless they have a bigger area with more variety

Dennise C

Not even a museum. They charge like $25pp to walk into 1 1/2 rooms. Don’t waste your money. Trust me you’re not missing out on anything. Go spend your money elsewhere

Vyom Sinha

Good place. Enjoyed a lot... considering space and number of decent Illusions ticket was overpriced. Childrens will enjoy for sure.

David Brezner

It was fun! It was educational! It was physical--in a Physics/Twilight Zone kind of way!

Conchur Lucey

Very expensive for what it is. It was nearly $30. It isn't very big and I had the place seen in about 30 minutes as I was the only one there. The staff are very nice and friendly but the museum was a bit of a let down

Joey H

I felt bad writing this review because the staff there are super friendly... but this place is hardly a museum... and you can’t possibly spend more than an hour there, unless you time traveled here from the 1800s and have never seen any of the “illusions” that have been around for the last century. Or you just love mirrors, like you absolutely love mirrors then this is the place for you.

anthony farouse

For what I paid, I don't know....they cashed in on the fact this place is downtown, but the exhibits are a little on the mundane side. Considering an hour is a stretch for how long you will be there, I won't be there again. What did male it good, is that my daughter is 9 and was fascinated by almost everything....even then it's hard to justify the price. I like that they had things to take home for purchase.

Anthony D

Went with family ages 11 to 15. Everyone had a. Good time. A little pricey but still worth it. I don't think I will go back unless they change a lot of their exhibits.

Jasmin Hansra

It was interesting but definitely not worth the money. It's quite small. We spent 32 minutes in there and we did everything but a few of the puzzles. If you find a groupon deal it may be worth it

GGLYN

Staff was extremely rude here! There was a Caucasian female with brown hair, was extremely rude and her tone was terrible. Extremely Bad service! And if you check other reviews… I’m not the only one who stated this!!!!!! I did enjoy taking pictures, however it was also extremely small and would not consider this as a museum. For the price your paying and the service your getting from the staff, I would not go to this place! As you may have a bad time, after experiencing bad service there from staff…this is how I felt after leaving…

Seemab Farook

Needs better illusions, the best part is the spinning tunnel effect

Vincent To

Pretty cool and kids really enjoyed it. However it got really busy and felt rushed towards the end. Go early to avoid the crowd.

otto klaus

Was really fun some are hard to understand but when you get it it’s fun

C S

Pretty cool place to go! Tickets aren’t too pricy! I suggest going on non busy times so you can spend more time on each illusion

Mel W

Some cool installations, but it’s pretty quick to get through everything.

joshua lopez

I had a blast during my time here. definitely stop by if you in the area. Price was reasonable, many things to interact with from puzzle to pictures and Illusions

chris wong

Some nice art work to be seen. Family had a great time... but was a very short experience for the price involved

R C

We had a fantastic experience at the Museum of Illusions! It’s fun for any age, kids to seniors. So much stimulation for all your senses! We can’t wait to go back - highly recommended! A great way to spend a few hours downtown and lots of fun!

Roman Pogoutse

Not worth the price should be like 15 dollars a person

Lee Rauti

Illusions were fun. Overall a smaller experience for the money. And unfortunately way to over crowded! I dont believe covid restrictions were accurately followed.

Dawn Pratt

Amazing place, so fun. Took our whole family so good for kids 6 and up (In my opinion). Plan to spend about 1.5 hours.

Matthew Dunning

Cool exhibit however it is quite overpriced. 10 to 15 dollars would be a legitimate price for the size and complexity of the exposition. It was very crowded as well but managed to see everything without much of a wait.

Chelsea F

Was a very lack luster small space. The kids were mildly entertained we didn't stay a full hour. Only room worth experiencing was the spinning room. It needs like a maze or something that pops, a better exhibit flow, better organization I dunno something. Meh, would definitely not go back and telling all my friends to not waste their money.

Ian

Awesome place to spend a rainy day or make a date out of. The exhibits will keep you occupied and astound you. Great place to take a ton of pictures and build some memories, fun for all ages.

Farzaad Goiporia

Great place to visit atleast once. A lot of puzzles to solve and cool souvenirs as well as mind bending experience.

SM

Marvellous! Our visit was an incredibly amazing experience. We had the opportunity to visit before the grand opening and it was very stimulating and thought-provoking. It will heighten your brain to focus in such an amusing and interactive way. You have to visit!

李佳欣

Fun place Can stay for about 1 hrs for pictures after visiting Saint Laurence market

Amrit Sachdeva

A really fun and neat little place to enjoy some time with friends. We were running late for our booking but the staff were very kind and accommodating!

balen nia

If 50$ for two adults sounds like fun for a short visit (attractions will last you about 30 minutes max). Then step right up. Other then that the museum is clean, interesting with friendly staff. Keep in mind the prices

Lauren

Not worth the money!! The whole thing is a thinly-veiled free advertisement for the museum. Most of the "illusions" are only able to be seen through a photo, which you are clearly meant to instagram, with a spot even marked on the ground of where you should stand to get the best photo. The staff are very pushy about getting you to take a picture or take one for you to post on their website. Nothing but a bunch of instagrammable photo-ops, very gimmicky.

Niro Tham

newer spot that opened up. Pretty cool exhibits and the tunnel can really mess with you! would def recommend

Susie Rosales

Super fun place to go. You can go with friends, family and kids all ages!

Amze King

Much shorter than I thought. Spent an hour looking at actual exhibits. And another solving little puzzles. Fun experience. Good for a one and done experience, don't see myself coming back for a second visit. Highly recommended !

gus perna

Great family fun - worth spending an hour there ! We all had fun and took some cool picks

Freya

This is a great place to bring children, and the exhibits themselves are interesting. Honestly, it probably takes 30 minutes (or less) to go through the entire exhibit, but most of the time is spent waiting for others to finish taking their pictures. Beware, the last exhibit is not good for anyone who experiences vertigo, is prone to seizures, or gets nauseous easily. All in all, I'd say that the experience is a little bit expensive for the price, but it is a cute place to go if you're in the area.

Nan Keochanh

Highly recommend this place. It's not large but some of the exhibits are very fascinating and make great photo ops. Great place to bring a family and the staff is very helpful. Price is reasonable but make sure to get tickets because they sell out fast!

B Food&Travel

We had such a good time. We were so happy we were able to solve most of the puzzles and picture taking element is genius. My favorite one is mirror room where I literally felt I am in space with stars.

Krystal Blanchard

It's nice and artsy. If u like artsy it is fun. Very packed w people and kids. It is really just a place to take Instagram photos.

Richard Lee

A neat place to visit. Admission is, however, hideously overpriced. Price for one adult is $26. Some nice exhibits and friendly/helpful staff, but it's by no means a large venue and you can easily see everything there is to see in less than half an hour.

K D

Went pre-covid. The place is small but you can easily spend over an hour if you take your time, read everything and take lots of pics. It is fun for adults and kids too. Taking Instagram worthy pics is what these kind of places is all about. Leave the Vortex Tunnel for the very end. Highly recommend a visit. We found a Groupon for discounted entry tickets.

Seda Akkılıç

You should change your RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL STAFF!!!!! Very bad experience. There are people who do not wear masks in the shared photos!!!

Alysha Jackson

I thought the museum was going to be larger than what it was. Took alot less time o make it through than I though, but it was still an awesome experience! The staff was super friendly! Great place to bring kids or go for a date!

Pat C.

Definitely fun place to go to hangout with friends and family time. Place is not big, so could be crowded. The magician & the spinning tunnel were most entertaining part. Parking on the street $3.00 / hr right at the door. If you further to south and west, the parking on street increaes to $4/hr.

Jesse Tavares

Kinda spooky styll i got dizzy and puked

Komul Bedi

We came here with a group of 10 guests and everyone really had a blast fooling around and taking fun photos during our hour here. It was a fun unique experience for all ages which was great too! My only major complaint is that the place is a lot smaller than expected and we all agreed that the size and time spent was not worth the price they charge. I think it should be a bit less expensive and they would still get a ton of visitors to make their money overall.

Paola Morrone

This is an interactive museum ideal for families. It is quite small and can go through all the exhibitions in about an hour. We made the most of our visit by trying to solve the puzzles as a family and really enjoyed the time together.

Andrew MacKinnon

Very cool spot. Not too big but lots of fun things to check out. Can get quite busy. If you can find an off time to go it will allow more time at the different illusions however even while its busy it flows pretty well. Takes about 1-2hr to see everything

Toby Goldenberg

A fun place to visit. Very interactive.

kasim zen

This place is a nice place for taking pictures and look at new cool stuff, but the only thing is that the price is way to high for how small the museum is.

Rosi Huertas

Fun? Yes, you will get your IG pics. Small place, to spend 20/30 min tops. Illusions are cool, the staff??? Ugh, the girl on the counter seems like she woke with the wrong foot, dont know it just didnt feel welcoming and wont recommend it to other ppl.

Paresa Kouhestani

It was so fun! There’s a good amount to see and experience. The museum does a good job of preventing it from over crowding. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting the city-great location too!

Mike Jakusz

Really fun place to visit! There were many different puzzles and illusions at the facility. I would recommend going when it less busy but overall I had a very pleasant experience. There were many illusions I haven't seen and we're very fun to interact with! Great place to go on a date!

Julia S

Honestly not worth it at all. It was expensive and awful! There was not much to do and there was too many people for you to take pictures without anyone in the way. Honestly do not waste your money and go elsewhere! It took me 15 minutes to walk through and looked and read everything.

David Harper

The Illusions were entertaining for the whole family, with lots of memorable photo opportunities. But it is tiny, and takes less than an hour to see everything, making the ticket price seem even higher than it already is.

Amy Howe

Even if you like Instagram photo ops, it's still not worth the $24 admission to this cash grab of a "museum" that you spend 30 minutes in. I'm half convinced that the "museum" idea was so that this store could sell their wooden puzzles and make extra money charging the Instagram crowd to go into their back room. Save your money and Google "optical illusions" instead. Trust me.

Jeffery Carlton

So I would like to say we were really excited when we came here. However, there is a lack of exhibits and illusion rooms. It’s really small, and not many photo opportunities unfortunately. I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing off groupon and not pay the full price for this. Some of the illusions are worth while others not so much. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend for families as it is not time consuming if you’re looking to spend quite a bit of time here.

Katrin Berghoff

Awesome place - so much fun!! Only negative point is, that the exhibition is a bit on the small side considering the price. But definitely worth it!

William Pare

The museum of illusions is a really cool place if you need to kill some time (usually 45 to 1 hour) this museum usually gets very crowded after 5 on weekdays and 12-3 pm on the weekends. A really cool feature is where you get to walk through a tunnel where you can experience an illusion of yourself and can feel really sick. A good place to go if you like illusions. Not a very good place to go if you get nauseous easily

Artur Neshchadin

Good place to go when hanging out with friends. The place isn't big so you have to push around to get a photo. Would be a good idea to visit it before noon.

Andrea Patel

Such an awesome fun experience. Definitely pricey but if you're looking to splurge this is the place. Way more fun than boring museums

Bradley CM

I had been wanting to check this place out since seeing friends post their pictures online. I like that they try to limit the number of admissions so you can enjoy the exhibits. There were several times we had to wait more than the suggested 2 minutes, but you could easily go see something else and backtrack. There was enough to do to warrant a 4 star review, however some of the inside activities required guests to spend a lot of time problem solving. We did not get to experience those as someone was at them the entire time. I also feel the gift shop area is a cash grab. If the prices for the wooden puzzles been less, or if more illusion related things were sold I would have been more inclined to buy. They had a plasma ball for $35 - too expensive, but if they had other niche things like that in a reasonable price range I think they would do well.

Mandy Gill

Worth it with the groupon deal but not regular price. Wasn't as big as we expected. An hour is more than enough time there.

Amirage Pittman

This place was awesome! It is a very small and short experience. You can get through the whole museum in about 30 minutes if it's not too crowded.

Barbara Esper

Amazing experience. So many different and beautiful and intriguing illusions. Totally recomend this place!

Saraq Novak

I had a great time here! Although it was smaller than I had hoped, the exhibits were certainly interesting. The museum is recently priced and there are tons of great opportunities for some good pictures to remember your time there. The staff is very friendly and offer to take pictures for you with your camera (something I find very refreshing as most places usually charge for pciteues). While you can't make a day trip out of see it, there are great memories to be made at the museum of illusions!

Nick Shields

A ton of fun for the price. Great for families

Bianca Jamerson

I am so DISAPPOINTED. This should be free. It’s aboout two rooms if even that. I spent ten minutes in there and it cost my boyfriend and I 60$. This should be free definitely the biggest waste of time.

Mary Riley

We went there today and were very pleased with the museum. It was $15 a person and was a pretty cool museum. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Harold Margles

Our visit was excellent. My 8-year-old grandson enjoyed it as much as I did. We spent 1-1/2 hours there and loved every minute. My only complaint is that some of the "instruction and explanation" boards were too high or too far away and in very small print to be readable.

Ben Dankner

The tickets were way over priced for the experience of such a small place, yes there were lots of picture opportunities but since it’s so small there were to many people there to actually take any. Would not recommend to anyone unless you want to spend over 50$ for 15 min walkthrough .

Mel Manos

So much fun for all ages! They have illusions to look at, and illusions that you get to participate in. There are also puzzle games to play with and to purchase. It is best to go with at least 3 people since a few of the illusions involve 2 people and you'll need a third person to take some pictures!

Felix Nordmark

Fun but a little small for the price.

Stephen Hwang

Great one and done kind of place. If you've never been to an illusion museum I would highly recommend going to this place. Includes quite a few picture worthy illusions that really blow your mind. Kind of pricey but if you really like to take cool pictures, this place is a must. They also have people designated to take pictures of you with your phone.

Nightslayer2011

Not the biggest but take your time and check everything out very enjoyable I'd visit again

Sharon Wyatt

I agree with a previous review that said small, overcrowded and (a touch) overpriced. The overcrowding was almost to a point of being ridiculous by the time we were leaving. That said, the concept itself is terrific and there was enough to learn and experience to make it a really fun, memorable outing. So deal with the issue of allowing too many people into a limited space and I would happily give it another star.

Pinoja Pirabaharan

Really great staff not so great price. Not worth the hype!

Marli Prinsloo

A bit expensive for a small museum, but interesting and enjoyable for kids and adults. Allows visitors to interact with objects on display. Maybe for kids older than 7 years.

Tiffany Christina

This would have been so much cooler if they had people to take photos of the groups of people that come. Nearly everybody was having to split up and take pictures of each other or bother other people to ask and a lot of people seem to say no. The place is pretty small but there is opportunity for really great pics, I would say most definitely try to go when it's not completely packed. we went on Saturday at 5 p.m. so it probably was busy time. we only had two minutes to take pictures so it was pretty rushed and very cramped. For $40 I think you could do a lot more interesting things
