(Translated) Very friendly front desk and tour guide, The biscuits and black tea make from receipt almost two hundred years ago. I have been to many museums, but I really like it. Here, I feel like I’m really in middle centuries. Very friendly front desk and tour guide, especially for centuries of ancient biscuits and black tea. It is highly recommended to visit here. The house is small, probably less than an hour, but it is very warm and especially cured. Here, I feel like I’m really in middle centuries. 非常友好的前台和导游,特别传承百年的古方饼干和红茶。非常推荐来这里参观。房屋很小,大概就1个小时不到,但是很温馨,特别治愈。

Had a lovely time visiting, getting a tour, a demonstration of cherry pitting to make sour cherry syrup and got to taste their marmalade ice cream which was delicious. Hearing about the history of the house, the Gibson family and the area was very interesting.

We had the entire place to ourselves. Sam our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable of Gibson House and the family that previously lived here. We learned valuable information of the area and the era of the house. The staff were very helpful and professional. They are abiding by health and safety protocols. We were given ginger bread on our way out. Thank you so much! I highly recommend coming here, the tour is about an hour.

We enjoyed our Valentine's Sweetheart Tea by the warmth of a fire. We also toured the home and got a glimpse of what it was like to live back in the 1850s. It was a special experience as all the staff were wonderful.

Really wonderful 3500 sq. ft. Farm house built in 1851. It sits in lovely meadow now surrounded by high rise condos. Located just a few minutes walk north of the North York Central subway line #1. Excellent explanatory notes to tell the Gibson House self-guided story. Also a small museum with interesting rotating displays is attached where the barn once was.

An absolutely lovely experience at the Gibson House Museum. They have the kindest ladies working there, Diane at the front, Jennifer in the kitchen and Sheena (sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly) giving a tour of the house. Went there on a Saturday and these three ladies gave my niece and I so much one on one. A beautiful experience in the kitchen, having tea (Jennifer even warmed the tea cup and saucer by the fire) and watching the baking process with recipes from cook books over a hundred years old, then the tasting, so delicious! I think you guys should sell your baked goods, they would be a big seller. All staff are very knowledgeable and do not rush you through your visit.

Great little historical museum in the heart of north york. We went this past sunday and kids really enjoyed learning about how they cooked in the 17th and 18th century, learned to play croquet, and enjoyed watering the outdoor garden. Lots of games organized in bins inside too.

Interesting experience, I love learning more about the history of my beautiful country. Dian gave me a tour and trust me she was the best story teller ever. Very nice and patient. She answered all my questions with an amaizing smile and made me a cup of tea as a cherry on top ???? I learned a lot and had a very good time exploring the house. I wish u all can have the chance to allocate some time to visit this historical house and beautiful people working inside it.

Amanda Hill

Excellent tour today by knowledgeable staff. Kids were kept interested, and loved making cookies.

Great programs for history lovers. The tour is very instructive and the artifacts inside make you feel like you're in 1861 again. Is also affordable and offers good souvenirs.

Home of the Gibson's frozen in 1850 viewable with a small admission fee. Great learning about the kitchen and the differences in how we live today. Access to the living and bedrooms with views into the dining, writing and master bedroom. Small giftshop inside too. Elevator access to the first floor (living, dining and writing rooms).

Gibson House is a beautiful home and museum ! My friend and I had Meredith as our guide and she was an incredible historian and very personable ! We were allowed to explore the second floor on our own which was great ! We ended off the tour with a spot of tea and some delicious baking! We both enjoyed our time here and would gladly reccomend taking this step back in time and learning a little bit more of the history of North York / Toronto.

I've been to Gibson House before, but took a group of new visitors who had never been there before. We went in December, when we got a seasonal themed tour, plus a tea break in the dining room, all for the price of general admission, which was already pretty inexpensive. Everybody who came with me says they want to do the same thing again next year (or, way before then!).
