Friendly staff. The narrative was interesting and informative, but distracted by side stories about recent renovations and spotlights on items that weren't elaborated on further. Some items that are familiar from previous archaeology work were glossed over, but it was interesting to learn about the WI.

It's a quick visit but is quite interesting, for such a small and fast tour. While heavy on the I interesting history of slavery refugees in Canada, its light on the bagels. But since it does have so much to offer in the Interesting history department, I'll give it a pass. Edit: As promised, I'll update to five stars since I was incorrect about them being open only for doors open Hamilton, I'll have to see what the slower tour is like sometime! Thanks.

The birthplace of the Woman's Institutes is an absolute must see! Such a treasure in our midst and historically quite important. Architecturally stunning in its design, it will take your breath away, along with the furnishings of that time period. There are some artifacts original to the Lee family as well, which cannot be missed. One visit was simply not sufficient, I am planning a return shortly! Thank you to the curator and staff for preserving this landmark and retelling its many stories to its many visitors!

I have visited this museum many times over the years. The tours have always been informative and not rushed. This is an incredible part of Stoney Creek History and should be included whenever the history of the town is discussed. Please support our local museums in order to keep them operating.

Very educational. I didn't know it was honouring the first of its kind of women's institutes in the world and that it all started in Ontario. Nice gift shop. This is a special anniversary year for them. Guided tours. Admission only around $7.
