OK for what it is. We should have read more about what the biosphere is honestly. We confused it with the biodome and its gardens. With that being said, we were expecting something totally different than what we got. Admission is reasonable and their are many different exhibits and activities. IMO it is geared for those 5-10th grade that have an interest in science.

Emily the young red headed tour guide was AMAZING!!! I came to Montreal with a group of friends with NO IDEA what to do and she spoke with us and gave us spectacular recommendations. We were all so grateful and so happy to have been able to see the beautiful biosphere from the top, and receive such a warm and considerate welcome from the people at the biosphere like Emily!

Oh my God this place is so beautiful! Despite the fact that I went to visit it in winter days with some parts close due to some construction. The place is colder than the city. It is also hard to walk in some areas. I recommend to go using the street in the lateral of the station not the one closer to the biosphere - because it will be easier to walk - also the view is superb.

The scenery here is one of MONTREAL's special attractions. The circular style of the building can be photographed at a low angle. A little further away, you can capture the urban scenery where the building and the surrounding environment are integrated.

We have come to this biosphere museum as a school group. All of the students present were art or architecture majors on a trip to explore and study environmental architecture. Upon arrival the staff advised us to leave sicne they don't take any groups. We started asking questions but got only petty excuses and vague explanations about why the staff cannot do their job. We were very frustrated and understandably so. The staff got quite annoyed and it turned into a very rude response patern. Very unhappy about this installment. It's beautiful from the outside but that's all there is.

INCREDIBLE place. If you have even a passing interest in the environment or any of the tons of advances in environmental technology, I highly recommend setting aside a few hours to visit. When I make my way back to the city, I will definitely visit again.

WoW, I saw this dome shape sphere from bus and i was curious to visit this place, then search on internet about it, being environmental professional i planned this visit, though it was a cold windy day, this museum is dedicated to the environment with a unique sphere shape. this is situated on a small island of Saint Helen's in Parc Jead-Drapeau, in between island of Montreal and Longueuil. This place is easily accessible by bus and via train.

It would've been a great place for someone who is interested to learn about the environment but its definitely not considered a attraction and it's not made for kids some of the stuff dont work and some presentations are too fast to understand I doubt I'll go again but if you like to learn about the environment it's the right place for you

Good all in all. The architecture and history of the place are inspiring and there are enough interactive exhibits to keep one busy for hours. The only downside is that there is no food & beverage outlet inside. The closest food outlet is a short walk away and is not that great nor suitable for young kids.

This place is odd. The exhibits are somewhat like a children's museum, but there not really enough of them for it to be a museum. The real attraction is the view and even that isn't very high up. It was free as an environmental awareness promotion when we went, so it was worth doing. The park and nature trails on the island are more enjoyable.

Very well organized and full of interesting and useful information. I was impressed with the experience. Under utilized for sure. I would not hesitate to bring my kids again, in fact they asked me to bring them again. Worth the trip and cost. Pay for the whole day parking, it will take more than one hour to take it all in.

I really enjoyed this museum. The staff was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The composition of the exhibitions was very good. One gave the history and context of the building, some were outside, and there were presentations and movies. I liked the idea with the lab were one was supposed to figure out effects of air and water pollutions.

Visiting the bioshpere was a wonderful experience! Got there by the metro (not easy by wheelchair FYI) quickly from downtown Montréal. The areas of interest for me were many, but primarily I would recommend you to see the 360° interactive experience, it was provoking, the viewing platform, the cities exhibit, and the top floor exhibit. There is lots of information there, so plan to take your time there if you want the full experience.

The Biosphere is a steel structure that covers the environment museum. It looks good but as far as i know it doesnt really serve any purpose. The environment museum is really small and only have a few exhibits. The view at the observation deck is nice but the steel structure kinda obstruct the view. Also parking is not free and you have to pay abt 20 bucks for the museum. Overall, I believe the cost outweight the benefits you get from this attraction. If youre biking there or walk by it will be nice to take some picture along the way. However, if youre driving there just for this attraction. I believe you will find this place a bit lacking.

The biosphere is a short train ride away from the center of the city. Its very interesting architectonically speaking. I visited on Canada day, so it was free that day only, and usually costs around $20. Its a great place for kids and learning about conservation. I personally enjoyed the view on the 4th level.

The Biosphere is an environment museum located at Jean Drapeau Park with a really cool dome shaped appearance. I didn’t end up actually visiting the museum but enjoyed photographing the building while at the park. It made for some really photo opportunities!

Its more of a science centre than anything. Its 15 dollars a ticket for an adult. There is some useful information about renewable energy and so forth, but the observation deck is really the only major tourist thing. Now that I have experienced this, I would not have gone knowing what it was all about.

This is basically a website spread out on plaques and videos to watch, except for the lab where you can look at some things under the microscope (not too interactive either.. just a picture that is made harder to see). The 5th floor has some manual power generator to play with, and the terrace is nice. But I don't think it is worth it to come all this way and pay 16$ for that.

If you are interested in geography and the environment and want to see how Montreal solves environmental and other problems, this museum is the place for you! By the way, if you can't understand French, like how I can't, it's fine because everything is in French and English, and there are separate presentations in French and in English.

Great place. Whether you come here during the day and enjoy the museum or come here at night to see the sphere lights up, definitely a must visit spot. I came here both times. First I came here 12pm on a weekday. I put purchased by ticket which costed me $15, $17.25 after taxes. This is where the one less star comes in. $17 bucks is pretty pricey! But hey, I live near NYC where every tour attractions are overpriced. With that being said, take your time to enjoy this museum. Get your money worth. Take tons of pictures. That is what I did. Ended up spending three hours here. It's possible to see and experience everything with 1.5 hours. They have so many interactive science displays. Even if you're not a fan of science, you will still enjoy this place. I LOVED the greenhouse area on the first floor. I went in, walked around, and sat down to enjoy nature sounds. Later that day, I came back on the island at 7:30pm. At 8pm on the point, the lights came on. So beautiful. When I posted a video on instagram, my friends thought I was at Disney World because it looks very similar to the Disney World globe.

I was really excited to visit the biosphere despite the bitter temperatures in March. The biosphere itself was definitely the highlight for me. The exhibit inside (English and French) could have been more interactive. I enjoyed the 360° presentation, but wished the focus was more on how nature informs innovation and less on nostalgic memories of nature.

Never had an opportunity to go inside since it wasn't free and you need to pay to get in. However no one can hide this giant biosphere and they light up in the night as a bonus. They have a picture gallery outside for people who want to just understand the place. I'm surprised by the engineering marvel of constructing this biosphere's spherical dome. Visit on a nice sunny day and it's only few steps from Jean drapeau station

So we didn't actually do any research before showing up at this place and honestly it was a pleasant surprise. It is an interactive environmental museum where you are able to both learn and have fun! The multiple exhibits is super engaging, informative and just amazing! My favorite was the 360 movie room, that (I won't ruin the surprise) but made the 45 minute minute movie extremely fun for both children and adults. Next to that room was a place, where you can actually figure out whether you know your science! Bringing us all back to our high school days of looking through a microscope and matching the items from a list to the appropriate samples. This was definitely way more fun than I ever thought it would have been! Other cool exhibits of course is on the upper floors where you can step out onto the roof and experience the biosphere yourself. With the slight winter breeze it was a little chilly but honestly it was perfect! The leaves were just starting to turn colors and with the cool breeze, it made the scenery that much more beautiful!! Should definitely come here with ur date/spouse or even family!

I haven't been to the biosphere since I was a kid, I went today and it's really nice! Lots of great permanent exhibitions - and what the website doesn't tell you is there are in fact multiple exhibits all permanent. I'd suggest going in the warmer months because you'd have access to the belvedere look out and one hall was under renovation until June 2020. Very well designed, hats off to the exhibit designer. Very cool immersive experience. Staff is nice. There is a cool 360 cinema room with various show times and there are some fun surprises if you watch. I'm knocking one star because a lot of the interactive items and touchscreens were not functioning well or at all.

I was a little disappointed by this. I can see it might be great for younger children and parents. But for others it doesn't offer much. One or two of the halls were interesting (the two on city design) but the others weren't so. One or two were just a room with some panels up that gave less information than Wikipedia would have. The dome itself is great to look at especially from inside. Wish they'd done more with the park immediately around the sphere and the rooftop gardens.

Nice tourist attraction. Wheelchair accessible. However, there is no dedicated lineup for the disabled. You can purchase tickets online for the same price as the line but found it a bit confusing when bundling up with other attractions.

Best part was the interactive video. One display was a 360 degree video that played a video about the environment and even had rain, snow, and wind effects as you watched! There were many other exhibits as well and it was all very educational for a fair price. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to learn more about our beautiful spaceship earth.

However, the area all over the place was under construction and the exhibitions itself are more close to the children than to the adults that want to learn something. Basically an environmental based science center themed for children. The 360 movie is oriented towards adults though. I felt that the experience was really nice to see and helped to show many topics about climate change to the youth. Though most of these topics are covered in high school science at some point.

Cool building with a variety of different environmental exhibits. My favorites were the one on climate change and the one with explanations of the different methods of generating power. I also enjoyed the exhibit on the environment of Montreal. Only 4 stars because I was a little surprised by how quickly I was able to walk through the museum. Although it wasn't the highlight of my day (botanical gardens are #1), seeing the architecture up close was worth the trip.

Biosphere is not only architecturally beautiful but it's also a good place to learn! The first three floors are mostly indoors exhibitions. The fourth and the fifth floors are outdoor where you can enjoy the amazing architecture of the sphere and also the view of montreal. I came during canada day weekend so admission was free!

There are six levels with different types of exhibits on each level. Great price for an afternoon of exploration and learning. I only wish we had more time to explore, highly recommend!

Great outdoor elevated view from inside the sphere, as modern interractive displays on the past history of the structure; from it's original conception as the American pavilion for the universal exposition of 1967, by architect Buckminister Fuller, to today's vocation as the modern St Lawrence river ecosystem awareness Biosphere museum for the greater common good, as for all present and futur generations. My only missing star is for the fact that - although interresting, convivial and well maintained, has not enough actual physical souvenirs of the past half century of the area, rich in history, and relys more on interractive visual displays, but overall still worth the visit. To avoid on busy summer days, as the masses of visitors can sometimes be overwhelming, to fully appreciate the surrounding views in a relaxed atmosphere.

I would recommend this place for everyone who is interested into information about our world, pollution and the way things can change the future. The venue is very spectacular with its round shaped building. On the inside you can walk through different rooms and interact on certain subjects - so people get involved into all the matters that are shown at the biosphere. When you get to the top of the biosphere platform you get a beautiful view around Montreal City. If you have time, take a look and spend 2-3 hours at this place. Since there is a very nice open air pool - you should bring your swim trunks in summertime :)

Great place to go to learn about changing conditions of the Earth's climate and how it's affected the culture and people of Montreal. It's particularly children friendly and although it is geared towards children, it's also appropriate for adults too. Parking is ample and easy to find, although it closes fairly early at 5pm. When people leave however, account for extra time as the exit road is fairly cramped.

So we didn't actually do any research before showing up at this place and honestly it was a pleasant surprise. It is an interactive environmental museum where you are able to both learn and have fun! The multiple exhibits is super engaging, informative and just amazing! My favorite was the 360 movie room, that (I won't ruin the surprise) but made the 45 minute minute movie extremely fun for both children and adults. Next to that room was a place, where you can actually figure out whether you know your science! Bringing us all back to our high school days of looking through a microscope and matching the items from a list to the appropriate samples. This was definitely way more fun than I ever thought it would have been! Other cool exhibits of course is on the upper floors where you can step out onto the roof and experience the biosphere yourself. With the slight winter breeze it was a little chilly but honestly it was perfect! The leaves were just starting to turn colors and with the cool breeze, it made the scenery that much more beautiful!! Should definitely come here with ur date/spouse or even family!

Great experience. Very informative. Pros: - many of the activities were interactive which made the learning process interesting and entertaining. - The view from the top of the sphere was great. Very instagrammable, if that's what you're into. - All of the exhibits were in French and English which was very tourist friendly. Cons: - It's easy to spend way too much time here. The lab activity which involved investigating things and making a little report took us an hour and change to do, but we really enjoyed it. Make sure you give this place enough time to see.

It was nice. The sphere itself dominated the view as a landmark. It is very much the centre piece of the park there. There is an admission fee of 15CAD and if you take your time you could be in there for about 2-3 hours. You get to learn about the green initiatives that Montreal is trying to promote. It would be quite educational for young children to learn about being green and the impact of human consumption on our earth.

Visited during Canada Day weekend which the admission was complimentary. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Very kids friendly and wheelchair accessible. The exhibitions were fairly interesting. It definitely offers a great view especially on a sunny day. It has a parking lot and it is walking distance to Station Jean-Drapeau for public transportation. It was a busy weekend as Piknic Électronik was right next to Biosphere.

We enjoyed the art leading up to the biosphere as well as the various exhibits throughout. Many of the different parts of each of the exhibits had interactive portions. The stars of the show though were in hall 2 - an immersive 360 degree show, and hall 5 - a degree of change presentation (you could just feel the speaker's enthusiasm on the subject of climate change). There is also a viewing platform that offered a good view of Montreal (despite the spherical structure obstructing said view).

Interesting experience to actually see it up close, it is a little bit different than what I expected, more targeted towards younger kids for environmental education. It is quite awesome to see the future of Montreal city planning for the next decades to come. But, you don’t necessarily have to make it a point to come to this place if that time is limited. Once in, with map in hand I found the initial contact with staff very strict. Many rules, procedures and timelines explained and repeated. To some degree I felt frozen in my tracks. Once I cleared the 'initiation' I found the place to be cleverly designed, compact but rich with information and attractive displays. Go with some time and be ready to learn, it's not a theme park. And try not to let the science test at the beginning or the hand washing station in the washroom scare you.

A great museum dedicated to understanding and improving the environment in the old USA pavilion at Expo 67, right next to the Jean-Drapeau metro stop on the yellow line. Also, a great exhibit on Expo 67 with old films. Great view of downtown Montreal from the 4th and 5th floor outdoor patio. Enjoyed our time there. It was our third favorite museum in Montreal, behind the Montreal Museum of History and Archaeology, and Museum of Fine Arts. The 360 degree multimedia presentation at the beginning, however, was a waste of time and we learned nothing from it.

Always wanted to check this place out and after a 2 decades of waiting, it was disappointing. They need to do more to engage people and have more exhibits. 360 video is boring. Nature walk wasn't impressive and you could just walk the route yourself for free. At least it was cheap. This place is more suitable for little kids as a field trip destination for grades 1-3 at best.

We came during a time that it was closed. This actually made it better for what we wanted it for. We had saw the building when we were visiting the Casino and knew we wanted to come back in the day time to take pictures. It totally is worth taking pictures of it from the outside. It looks like a giant snowglobe from far away. It made for some epic looking pictures! If you are in the park near by this is a must stop while in Montreal. Overall, it made for the best pictures on our whole trip.

It is a little bit expensive. Kids don't pay, but adults entrance is like $15 plus taxes and parking is like $8 for 1 hour and $14 for 2 hours. This is a place to spend at least two to four hours. Be prepared to watch some videos and do some tests. Next time will definitely go to the next door pool.

Couple of things to clarify up front, it's not expensive too go here, about $18 per adult when we went plus parking. Also the pictures of the Buckminster dome belong to the biosphere, the biodome is different and next to the Olympics stadium. Interesting exhibits, a couple of hours needed for the entire place. There's parking on site and if you have time, you can probably see more of the island too.

We have come to this biosphere museum as a school group. All of the students present were art or architecture majors on a trip to explore and study environmental architecture. Upon arrival the staff advised us to leave sicne they don't take any groups. We started asking questions but got only petty excuses and vague explanations about why the staff cannot do their job. We were very frustrated and understandably so. The staff got quite annoyed and it turned into a very rude response patern. Very unhappy about this installment. It's beautiful from the outside but that's all there is.

It's a worth seeing park while you in montreal. The Sphere is an interesting landmark in the park. There are many good trails for a walk as well as bikes with some scenic views. Parking is not an issue there as you find plenty of parking there.

This is a fantastic museum but can be limited depending on the time of day you come. They had several fantastic exhibits about climatology, meteorology and the effects of the weather. There was a very interesting demonstration and informative exhibit about the floods in Calgary back in 2013. The Biosphere has a fantastic section on Expo 67. It was arguably one of the best put together world's fairs. It happened over 50 years ago yet the technologies and ideas that were displayed we're very much cutting edge and modern even by today's standards. I wish they would talk more about Buckminster Fuller and dive deeper into the history behind this unique geodesic dome. You had to really dig in through the museum to find any history of what is probably the most unusual architectural thing in all of Montreal. the history of the house and the dome was buried inside of a space exploration exhibit on the first floor. if you pick up the headphones and listen to all of the recordings it talks about the history of the museum, Buckminster Fuller and Expo 67. This place is definitely worth going to and spending a few hours!

This spa enclosure is massive. The 12 x 20 gives us a nice space. The quality is awesome and the packaging is really strong to protect it from incurring any damage. Everything arrived in perfect order and the manufacturer and carrier kept in touch with me for every detail to my satisfaction and delight. We checked every piece as we erected it. We only needed 2 helpers a couple of electric screwdrivers and a 6 foot ladder. We did this over a holiday weekend we were done Sunday afternoon overall pretty straight forward. Construction would have probably taken one day if we started early. We took our time as the weather was hot. Drink lots of water when you are working in the sun. Now all I have to do is relax in our new hot tub and enjoy the view.

The staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful. I liked the exhibit about futuristic cities and Montreal in the future. Let’s hope that future-Montreal is more accessible for people with disabilities than present-Montreal! Oh, speaking of accessibility, this museum is accessible, with elevators and ramps, which I was happy to note.

The concept is great! People need to be made aware of global warming and climate change. Things went downhill for me when i took the metro....and there was no clear path from the metro to the entrance.....theres some major construction going on....so you basically have to walk on the muddy road ( barely any sidewalks) .....thank goodness i had google maps...get to the entrance......theres this girl with glasses, who talks to you in such a condescending manner ( i should have asked for her name). I ask her for the admission prices....she points to a board ( in a manner that says " can't you see that, stupid?") Then She asks me ...Are you a student?....i said I'm from the US ( i wasn't sure if a US student ID would work here)...before i could clarify, she says...so no, you are not a student....then she tells me, "the views are closed for renovation...so you will get a 15% discount" ( barely anything....the admission fee is $15 which is basically what you pay after the discount). It would have been good to know that there were rennovations going on...before i made the trip to see the biosphere....i could have saved it for next time. The website is pretty useless interms of information.

Although many people feel there are not much to see inside the biosphere, this is a great place to take pictures of the biosphere at night. The night photos of the sphere with different colors come out very beautiful. When we went there last week, the night sky in Montreal was bright with a full moon. A combination of a full moon with the colorful biosphere rendered an amazing photo. In additional to the biosphere onto opp, the view of the night sky line of Downtown Montreal from here is just as a spectacular a photo spot. I took a photo of the skyline with the full moon on the side. The picture was fantastic with full of colors. Getting to the biosphere is a bit difficult as it is located on a man made island. You can either take a ferry from the mainland or ride an Uber. We chose a latter. Getting Uber to come back to the mainland was easy as well. We only waited less than 10 minutes for an Uber to pick us up and another 15 minutes for us to get back to our hotel in downtown.

No regrets. Biosphere was amaze-ball!! Of all Montreal attractions, I can say this is in the top tier of a must-go. There were not many visitors yet at this time. Although it started to drizzle, I could take quite a number of beautiful shots of the massive biosphere structure. This environment museum is located on a large land on Saint Helen's Island. The exhibits tells a story not merely showing the facts, which is astonishing. I know we have climate problems affecting us in some ways but I ignored the facts in a micro perspectives, like how it affects certain types of crops and animals which has disrupted our eco-system. The dilemma has already began, altering our living condition. You should also walk towards the other side of the area where the view of St. Lawrence River is spectacular. The crystal baby blue water is pretty and majestic. There are lots of spots for photography and also this is a place if you need to be in a surreal environment with no traffic. Another go-to spot is to walk towards the cafe, there is a massive space to look out to the view of Montreal city and Mont Royal across the river. Gorg! I planned to stay there for an hour but ended up extending it to three. It was already four in the afternoon when I left the place.

Overall, was worth it i guess. Lots of interesting info about the planet and humans impact. Parking was expensive at $13 for 2 hours i thought. Nice views. Leaving at 5pm, expect a long wait to get out of that area to the highway. 3 hours roughly needed to tour everything.

It was fun to see the area since the last time I saw it was during Expo '67. Parking is expensive and getting around is difficult if you cannot read the French signs. No English signs help tourists that are non-French speakers.

We had a great time exploring this museum. There was so much information and it was presented in such a great way that our 9 year old and we adults really enjoyed it. We went back later that night to watch the fireworks from La Ronde and caught the Biosphere all lit up.

It's better to go the St Lawrence River, near the Museum than to visit it where you have not to pay 15$ of your hard earned money. But they have not used and developed the possibilities of such a magnificent river as a tourist attraction. Even one can't find a place to get in to the shore and 'touch the water ' that every tourist wish to do.

Its placed in the middle of a beautiful park, the biosphere was an absolutely amazing way to top off my trip. Also, their "video" demonstration was really neat and can be seen in the photo with the fire projected on the center column.

Is an amazing interesting place. Full of knowledge inside. Well organized with a beautiful customer service. Everything inside is science, with a 360 degrees video room never seen for us, combined with special effects of rain, winds and light. One very modern lab allows visitors to see on the microscope different microorganisms living inside the contaminated waters. On top of everything the metal structure complete the great vision about this museum. Is a place to be visited at least one time in our lives.

This place re-opened in August under management of the Montreal environment office after having been managed for years by the national government. Exhibits were redone and they are of the highest professional quality. For anyone interested in understanding environment and its the challenges globally and in the city of Montreal and the Quebec province this is fantastic. And the building itself and exhibit about the 1967 expo are also exquisitely done. The hanging Garden at the entrance is a good example of presenting something fascinating and beautiful and explaining the mechanics behind it at the same time. And this is a wonderful place for children to learn through tactile interactions. Very much worth the visit!

Despite the construction fencing a lot of places off from the metro station, it all looks great. The exterior is amazing to see up close. The museum is host to several superbly arrange exhibits, showcasing climate change, air and water pollution, future societies, renewable power, and more. Truly a must see on any visit.

This museum is perfect for a day trip and you can occupy yourselves heat for a long while. This museum focuses on the environment and how it is being badly impacted through our day to day activities. The biosphere has conveyed this in many ways. For example, through hour long speeches using interactive presentations as well as short films. The museum has an ecolab with short experiments you can involve yourself in and lookout point where you can look at the view from a high point. I would highly recommend going to this museum. It is very suitable and educational for children as well. The museum makes learning fun!!!

We went in the summer of 2018. Great place to visit especially if you have a particular interest in Expo 67 nostalgia (like me). The interior renovations are really nice and structurally very interesting. I would give this place at a minimum 3.5 star and recommend visiting. It may be a bit more of a challenge if you are bringing teens who may find it less interesting.

Leftover geodesic dome from Expo '67 World's Fair, now an environment museum. Nice place for family in Parc Jean-Drapeau. Watch out for parking meters!! We did not see the "pay to park" sign and got a $53 ticket. We were only there 23 minutes, and the meter cops were total dinks.

I was a little disappointed by this. I can see it might be great for younger children and parents. But for others it doesn't offer much. One or two of the halls were interesting (the two on city design) but the others weren't so. One or two were just a room with some panels up that gave less information than Wikipedia would have. The dome itself is great to look at especially from inside. Wish they'd done more with the park immediately around the sphere and the rooftop gardens.

This museum was extremely impressive. They manage to explain the dire state of climate change and the difficult choices our society faces, while keeping a hopeful and largely optimistic tone when discussing our future. The exhibits themselves are gorgeous and all appear brand new. The architecture is mind blowing, especially from the inside. It does a fantastic job of bringing Buckminster Fuller's metaphor of "spaceship earth" to life, putting visitors inside a visible, yet hard to fully conceive, physically bounded structure.

it's a really nice experience for adults and kids to start the decor is very nice and clean they have a lot of exhibits in English and French most exhibits also have interactive parts and experiments there is also the lookout deck on the fourth floor you can go up by elevator or with steps where you can see the whole surrounding in area i really enjoyed myself there and would definitely go again one thing i learned is 2 hours is not enough to cover the whole museum you need a full day

A very well thought out and planned science Museum focused on the environment. Exhibits on pollution, meteorology, climate change, and urban development. There are also special programs, such as a nature walk in the surrounding woods, about every hour in both English and French. Only complaint is the lack of any dining options anywhere remotely near the Biosphere.

A must visit museum for all ages. Very beautiful decors. I love the 360 video presentation and the fifth floor outdoor visit where you have an amazing high view of the surrounding. Don't forget to take some pictures with your loves one. The last missing star was due to the lack of personnels: 1) To inform visitors and answer to their questions in each room. 2) No one was there to clean headphones and touch screens. At least provide clorox wet cleaning tissues so we can self served. 3) There was a problem with the ventilation: we were suffocating inside each room, especially the 360 video presentation room.

Ok wow. Was not sure what to expect from this place. I saw it and had to go and dam it did not disappoint. I'm sure it won't be for everyone but I found this place to be fantast. Super interesting and well presented rooms that take you through a number of different subjects. The video presentation was superb in the 360 4Dish experience. There is a hands on room that is just as fun for the adults as it would be for older kids. I'm not sure young ones will enjoy it as much. Go to the top floor and enjoy some cool views, even have an outdoor area to enjoy the open space.

We stumbled upon here thinking it was the more popular Biodome, which we didn't figure out until later. Such is the life of an ignorant American traveling in a different country! Some exhibits are really interesting, such as the Spirit of the Forest, but I found the museum somewhat dull and not as interactive as I had expected. Enjoyed the visit. Plenty to see and took longer than the 1.5 to 2 hours suggested by the reception desk. Focus is on environmental impact as expected and most of it was well thought through and presented in an easy to understand way. Only slight quibble is the way a definitive link between global warming and climate change is justified. Very interesting 30 minute talk by one of the staff was probably the highlight of the visit. Easy to get to on the Metro system.

In June 1995, the dome rose from the ashes and was re-purposed as a museum devoted to environmental action. The reopened dome sported no acrylics on its exterior this time around, due to the costs of keeping the gigantic dome warm and cool, and probably to prevent future accidents.
