We headed there to meet our extended family for a night of camping. Drove into the grounds and got a little lost - there is a 10km limit which we hadn’t really noted but were driving between 15km and 20km. The regular trailer campers surrounded our vehicle and screamed expletives about our speed with scary aggression - with our kids (6 and 8) in the back - scared out of their wits. We carry on and tone done the speed to 10km - another camper impedes our vehicle with a brick in his hand and threatens to destroy our windshield - even though we were driving 10 at this point. So shook. Find our family and site - but then the manager of the campsite finds us and throws US out (we were never staying as we didn’t feel safe). Total disbelief this just happened. UEL Adolphustown is the campsite for you if you want to be scared and run out by drunk campers who threaten you with violence. It's hard to believe that people behave this way.

A great open space but I really miss having hydro hook up while staying here!

Gorgeous view of the Bay of Quinte with any of the East Campground lakeside sites. This park is a quiet, peaceful gem with a rich Canadian history. The RV sites are spacious, all grass, and equipped with the usual fire pit and table. On the downside, there is no privacy barrier of any kind between you and your neighbour, no level 'parking pad' area for your trailer [translation = bring lots of levelling blocks], and the water/hydro connection post is at a considerable distance [we have 50' of hose and it just made it!]. This is the perfect spot if you love to read and lounge in a chair much of your day while vacationing. No pool or much else to do onsite. The most fun was riding the Glenora Ferry - well worth the free trip. That said, we would definitely return to this park - especially after Labour Day when there are fewer travellers.

Very run-down. Facilities are old and dirty, play structures all taped off because they're not safe to use. People fishing on the beach so watch for hooks when swimming. There's even a cemetary in the campground. Hard pass for me.

Amazing location! If you love history, especially early Canada history, you need to visit the location. You can even camp here! Plus, if you like haunted places, this one has a few good stories to tell!

Went here on the weekend as I’ve done almost every weekend in the summer for the past 4 years. The lady wanted $5 per adult in the vehicle to let us in. I asked when it changed as it’s always been $5 a car load to visit the beach-even the weekend before. She was rude and said no it’s always been this way. I checked on my phone on the website and it says $5 a car load and she started yelling and shaking and persisted to say no it’s $5 an adult and always has been. I said ok I should just pay the $50 summer pass for my vehicle and she said no everyone has to have their own pass. She scared my kids. Not friendly at all and no information matched the website. She was so rude come to find out she is a manager... If anyone who works there sees this, please clean the bathroom for the first time in twenty years.

Looks like a beautiful place to camp. We live 2+hrs away so were not allowed in due to COVID rules. We only saw the view from the front gate, many trees and view of the waterfront. The map shows a beach area.

Don’t bother to come if you do not live in a 2 hours radius from this place. And not only you, if any of your guests live in Toronto or Ottawa (not in the 2 hrs bubble) you need to turn around and leave.

Jasmine Gifford

Beautiful place!! Big old trees, amazing scenery and great swimming places ????

Excellent campground! Clean, well maintained and pleasant staff. Beaches on Adolphustown Reach of the Bay of Quinte. Don't miss the UEL Heritage Museum on site.

Chrystal May

Great little museum in an awesome park, spend the day exploring, you won't be disappointed.

Will never know if it’s good or not met the rudest woman at the front gate . Came to enquire about camping there as the website has no details that are adequate and can’t book . All she said was no cannot look around or drive thru and had no information and wasn’t friendly at all . Will take our business to a place that treats people decently !!!! If she was an owner for shame if she was some one that worked there get rid of her !!!!!!!!

I have a long history with this park, so I'm biased. (I ran the UEL Centre for a few summers very long ago. I also fished the huge swamp for bass and other critters when I was in my early teens.) This is still a well tended, quiet, beautiful chunk of the Bay of Quinte. Nice view of North Marysburgh shoreline. Still a great fishing spot. The house was said to be haunted, the curator before me quit after one day on the job. I heard some funny stuff in the attic a couple of times, but told myself it was racoons.

Very clean and comfortable campsite. Seems to be full of long-stay RV campers, we must have turned some heads showing up as part of a bicycle tour. The beach is small but scenic and nice to take a dip. Nowhere to buy snacks or food on site.

Beautiful, my parents have been seasonal campers here for years, and my family has been having family reunions here on and off for a since before I was born.

This is a wonderful park that we make several trips to each year. This was the original landing point of United Empire Loyalists in Lennox and Addington County. As such, there is a small museum dedicated to the preservation of this history, and there is a small graveyard to explore. This park offers camping with or without electrical hook-up. They do have the option to park your camper for the season for a fee. There is a sand beach with a rope boundary, but there are no lifeguards on duty. The grounds have lots of mature trees for shade, and there always seems to be a slight breeze off of the lake to keep cool. There is a play structure with swings for kids, but it could use some updating. To keep with the UEL heritage theme, there are boats scattered throughout park that would have resembled ones of the time. The cost to enter the park is $5.00/car unless there is something going on at campground like a concert or a historical reenactment. Overall, this is a quiet park that is more than worth the entrance fee. I can easily waste my entire day in this park. It is also about 20-25 minutes to both Picton (via the Glenora Ferry) and Napanee. It would take closer to an hour to get to Kingston.

Overall adequate, but firepit dirty, grass needed to be cut.only one toilet and one shower for a lot of campers.washrooms dirty, nice large sites

Nice big campsites, friendly neighbor's, very family friendly with 2 playgrounds and a beach, museum was nice and the graveyard was interesting. We had a great weekend. No sewer but it had a dump station.

Raye McAvoy

Great beach and park. The playground could use some cleaning up (grass overgrown, maintenance in equipment) but otherwise a nice stop.

Shawn Willemse

Got threatened by drunk trailer trash who camp there year round. Still unsure why other than we weren't regulars there. Management did nothing other than issue a warning to stay away from them. Take the family somewhere else.
