We offer you all the information of real people who consumed the products of National Air Force Museum of Canada (Museum) in the territory of Belleville (Canada).
At the present this business gets a rating of 4.7 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.

You know that we don't usually bother to set tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Museum belongs to the category of History museum.
amazing place to see our Canadian air force aircrafts. Amazing staff to help us navigate through and talking about the history of our fallen officers
Love visiting here, has so much to see and learn. Very clean and well kempt as well.
Took my almost 3yo son here, he really enjoyed looking at the planes! I highly recommend this place even if you are a local and haven't been in a very long time!
I was here for an annual work function recently and the museum is always fantastic!
A venerable treasure trove of history. Also home to the world's most complete Handley Page Halifax bomber - painstakingly restored by a team of dedicated volunteers. This is a must visit attraction at CFB Trenton
Wow! My three year olds went nuts! We had such a great time.
It is really a nice historical air force museum and worth visiting
worth to spend $10
Great experience for the kids.
Nice to see some of our Canadian aviation. Wish there was more funding to cover all the planes outside
Excellent variety of aircraft including a restored Halifax bomber. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly
Great to visit and take in the history of the Canadian Air Force, you will be surprised of how much Canadian history is in the birth of flight. I highly recommend going to the NAFM of Canada the staff there will open your eyes to the amazing history and the beautiful planes they have on exhibit.
Fantastic place to bring the family. Great history in one place. Around $10 admission.
One of the most interesting museums around. The Halifax is amazing to see and I was surprised to see the variety of other aircraft on display. The East German Mig 21was a blast. They have a lot of room to grow and a nice mix of aircraft to view. Not far from the 401 makes it easy to get to
Quite nice collection of exCAF aircrafts (esp. the Halifax Bomber and different fighter jets). As a museum however the Canadian Aviation & Space Museum is better.
Amazing, a lot of history, worth for every second spent there...
Lot of different aircraft to see. All military related this museum is situated directly on the Canadian Forces Base Trenton but you don't need any special access to visit it.
Many pristine historic aircraft. Great exhibits and friendly staff.
Great place to go if you are into military history or old airplanes.
Great experience.
It was a good visit and educational for kids.
Hours were too restricted, so we didn't get in. However we enjoyed walking around the perimeter fence and looking at the aircraft on display outdoors.
Huge indoor space with a wonderful collection of many different types of planes. The displays and collections were very interesting and informative. You could easily spend a few hours here. The comic book style history displays were fun, full of amazing facts and easy to understand! Unfortunately the outdoor area was closed the day we were there but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit anyway. The simulators definitely kept the youngest ones interested while the story boards left us feeling full of Canadian pride in our country's accomplishments
A place largely unknown. A substantial and nice collection of vintage prop and jet planes. Worth the visit and cheap $10 entrance fee. Kids, students and seniors discounted. Worth the visit.
Very knowledgeable staff and friendly. It's a great place to learn some history
Excellent museum Highly recommended. Lots of hands on stuff for the kids.
I love airplanes, so this place is a treat!
Great place to visit and easy to get to. Staff are always awesome and typically knowledgeable
A great stop in Trenton. The team was really great in explaining the museum. You need to take your time to understand and absorb the history of this place, upstairs is very well curated. Take the kids they too will enjoy and priced really well also.
Lots and lots of planes to wander around inside and outside. If you're interested in planes and/or military, this is the place!
Great place and great tour guide name Sam thanks great tour and great place definitely recommend this place to anyone
It was absolutely AWESOME! Our family sure enjoyed it very much. Last time my husband (retired veteran) and I were there, there was only a small part of the hanger but now...WOW!!! It was worth to go for sure. Loved the display inside and out...so much more to see and go through time. We were also welcomed by a veteran flight engineer that told us his story. Really appreciated! Thanks to all of you for making this museum so rich in history for all of us to enjoy fully!!❤❤❤
Awesome museum one of a kind aircraft
I always enjoy walk with my children, this year there is admission fee and I consider expensive, from free to 12 for adult and children are 10.. .
You can plan to spend the entire day here, learning about aviation plus air force history. This museum is also fully wheelchair accessible, and there are scooters for exploring the planes on display outdoors.
Great place to visit..
Real OOF planes there. Pretty epic with the simulator too
Unfortunately this time of the year the outdoor exhibition was closed, and that's where the most interesting exhibits are.
It only cost my son and I $15 and we spent nearly 3 hours there and that's with Covid restrictions keeping some of the interactive displays off limit. I can't wait to go back.
Could add more background on WHY the air force has changed in planes, strategy, etc.
The museum on The Royal Canadian Air Force Base in Trenton, Ontario is a very well maintained and historical place to visit. In the store there are many amazing products for sale. What I loved the most was the model airplanes that were for sale. Also some military clothing and postors! The staff were very wonderful, well trained people. I loved the old military air planes that were on display.
One of my favourite places to visit. My dad and his friend Andy Christie worked on the seats of the Halifax bomber there, by reupholstering some of them, as Andy had a heavy duty sewing machine
Great place, quiet and peaceful.
great place to visit. They have both indoor and outdoor exhibits. Also doubles for a great pokemon go location.
The Muesum continues to expand and grow each year. A visit to the restoration shop is well worth the visit.
This is a must see of this great Canadian air plane museum. Just finished a big expansion and they have ex military personnel on hand to help with a great tour and a lot of information. Hope everyone gets to see this and they will not be disappointed l am sure.
Great place for kids and adults to spend a morning or afternoon to explore!
A great way to spend the day with your kids. The volunteers there are really helpful and knowledgeable. They draw the kids in and trick them into learning a little about Canadian history. Bravo!
Amazing museum. Staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. If you're in the area and are interested in aircraft I'd highly recommend visiting this place.
I so enjoyed the tour in the Air Force Museum i went there in Jul 2019. the weather was very nice, there is an indoor exhibit and an outdoor exhibit. i think both adults and kids will enjoy so much. Be a lot of background history about the Canadian Air Force. Notes when we you walk outside the exhibit, they are white tile Stone on the ground with names on it don't walk on it. You have to pay admission to go in but I think it is worth it I strongly recommend to visit the Museum.
Great place to see some planes and learn about our wonderful air force
The airplanes on display are awesome and educational. From first generation of airplanes, to huge bombers serviced in World War II, and also modern jet fighters, etc.
What a great and informative place to visit!! The tour guide (a retired veteran)gave an amazing tour of the Halifax bomber airplane. The artifiacts were awesome, a great collection! There is even a memorial walkway outside as well of the soldiers that fought for our country.
Great place to visit. You can also talk to veterans and learn so much about Canadian history.
I'm a bit impartial being as I'm AirForce, however this is a great place to learn about Canada's aviation history. Great place for kids of all ages. Keep your eye out for Teddy, if you find him snap a picture and claim a prize at the front desk. (Caveat, I think It's for children only!)

A must for every Canadian! Wear good shoes. Lots to see.
Fantastic collection and air park full of air craft. Great place for kids or adults. Has amazing staff and volunteers.
It was good to see it and to support the museum
Worth visiting when in area. Volunteer guide was helpful and very informative.
Worth visiting when in area. Volunteer guide was helpful and very informative.
Wish I could add another star. Just go its well worth it.
Awesome piece of Canadian military aviation history.
Lots of amazing planes to look at in a beautiful garden.
Great way to spend some family time together and walk around seeing the history of the planes.
What a place! Great staff and so much information, you can spend a day here and still want to come back for more
It's free, and an amazing way support our armed forces
What an amazing place! Full of airplane's and memorabilia. So educational and interesting! When visiting it makes you proud to be Canadian! Good parking and reasonable entry. In Trenton at the airbase! Everyone has to visit this museum at least once! You can sit in the cockpit of a couple of different planes. It's great for adults and kids!
What an awesome experience. Went with my wife and kids and my parents. My fathers father, my Granddad served as a Lancaster tail gunner in WWII and we donated his medals, pictures and air mans logs to the museum. Was truly an awesome experience for all of us.
Excellent museum, they really take care of the aircraft. Lots to see. Highly recommend.
The National Air Force Museum of Canada in Trenton, Ontario was excellent, and really worth while visiting. Unlike the Canadian War Plane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, this museum has more displays from WWI. Along with quite a variety of planes, jets and helicopters both inside and outside. This museum has two floors of interesting displays and information regarding Canada's participation in the World Wars. We all enjoyed our visit and would recommend the National Air Force Museum of Canada to anyone interested in war planes and Canadian history. ????????
The person who registered us was very nice. We were tourist, so we asked for more information and the lady at the reception gave us detailed information to visit. Worth learning new things. Was also able to see an actual air force flying in the sky. Fees are 8$ per person, no reservation required. Takes about 1 hour to complete the visit.
Great place to take your kids to. My 3 y.o. had a fun time looking at all the planes and the history of Air Force.
Plan on spending some hours here. It is a gem, and many local's don't know how much material is in this museum.
Great place. Amazing staff. Excellent exhibits.
If you ever get the chance to visit this spot you will not he disapointed
Was a great experience visiting "National Air Force Museum", and touching parts of Canadian Army technology and history! Proud for our Army.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Awesome place! The museum has so many history in just one place. From sitting in a jet cockpit and Hercules cockpit to learning so much about the history of aviation.
Great place! The old aircrafts outside are getting battered in the weather and need attention towards restoration and upkeeping.
Very interesting. Got a private guide, a veteran to guide us through the museum, adds to the experience.
Hours were too restricted, so we didn't get in. However we enjoyed walking around the perimeter fence and looking at the aircraft on display outdoors.
Very educational , a lot of history .
Great displays fun learning for kids and adults alike.
A good museum to know the history of Canadian Air Force ,In my opinion, it is a bit too small, not with many collections.
Really awesome museum for aviation lovers, or really anyone at all. Outside they have a number of really cool planes and helicopters, from the F-18 to the MiG 21. Really cool engines on display, as well as three cockpits you can sit in and interact with.
Great place friendly staff
It showed my kids and myself some cool things and we walked away with a lot of admiration.
Vast outside AirPark, many classic aircraft. Liked the Great Escape display. No place to get food though, only drinks.
One large main building plus a large outdoor area. They have a complete and restored Halifax Bomber, and many other small planes inside. Outside are fighter and reconnaissance jets, helicopters and other planes. Very knowledgeable staff, and some interesting history. Small shop for souvenirs gifts and clothing.
Amazing planes, engines and technology, dating from world War II and earlier too!
Amazing attraction. Everything is very well curated. Check it out!
Very nice place to visit and bring the kids, specially the ones who like airplanes. There’s a very nice collection of Canadian and foreign airplanes and some of them can even be touched. There are also some simulators for C130 and a couple of fighter jets. Also kudos the staff, extremely knowledgeable, helpful and with very interesting stories to tell
I was disappointed, hardly any historic aircraft on display, outdoor display are very old ancient & not at all important, inside also not much, you can visit it under 30 minutes if you don't waste your time reading useless description of every exhibit. 1st time yes you can visit but never again and not recommended.
Very nice museum, lots of aircraft especially outside. 2020 Alert - We waited 1:30h outside to get in as ony 50 people are allowed at the same time.

We went here last Thanksgiving weekend so it was not that busy. It's indoor and has lots of planes outdoor as well. It was clean and lots of interesting planes to see. The staff are very nice and welcoming. We love that you can get into their planes and they have a simulator (not working) as well for you to experience. Entrance fee is very affordable. Adults are $10, student and kids 6 above are $8 and under 5 yrs old is free. Definitely worth visiting when you are on your way to Toronto.
Lots of different aircraft to see and knowledgeable staff and volunteers
Fantastic place. Be sure to make lots of time to hear the stories from the people that work there.
I spent here over two hours with kids, who had fun exploring the planes, and participated in search with prizes. It was great to learn that museum has family programming for some holidays and weekends, and some interactive exhibits, but I would say those are for older visitors. Not all staff was welcoming, but we didn’t let that fact get us down, and decided to come back when the outdoor portion gets opened in spring.
Great place to visit for where history comes to life. I love that they have a restoration area in the back and interpreters around too. I would love for them to get clever with interactive tour page for the younger crowd. Eg search and stamp page or search and build. Something to draw more of a younger crowd. Maybe a monthly schedule of events. Great place for organizations to rent as well.
i love the air museum i used to go when i was little and i still love it to this day they have a Hercules a mig jet great place to go out too
Great place to visit and learn! My kids loved the visit!
I came the one day they were closed for repairs! however they do have a lot of planes on display outside so i was able to see dozens of them. very cool place i will definitely come back to check it out. looks like a nice neighbourhood.
Always love it here The Halifax is great!! Staff is always quite helpful.. Wish the patron's gave the area the respect it deserved
Absolutely outstanding! For anyone looking to learn more about Canadian history and specifically the Canadian Air Force, you NEED to go visit this place!! Excellent staff. Great variety of exhibits and information.
I particularly liked the walk outside, to look at planes up close. The volunteers are welcoming and knowledgeable. Will visit again.
I really liked the museum. It is very nice and has tons of different planes with lots of information about them. If you are ever visiting trenton i highly recommend it that you go to this museum.
Enjoyed the museum exhibits and the details shared by the well-informed staff. I was particularly interested in seeing the Halifax as my father flew one with 6 Group 426 Thunderbird Squadron out of Linton-on-Ouse, Yorkshire.
Not available to enter the museum due to Covid 19 regulations on Jan. 28th, 2021
Excellent experience. Awesome history and the volunteer tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Great museum. We went with some friends and our kids and it was a great outing. Kids especially loved being able to sit in the simulators. The staff, I believe volunteers, were very friendly and knowledgeable. The Halifax airplane is especially well restored.
Loved the museum. Lots to be learned. Hours of fun. Free to enter but they kindly ask for donations. Well worth the visit.
Well organized museum with guides to help understand the aircraft and their place in Canadian history. A place to visit again.
Fun for all ages
Absolutely amazing! Very clean and well maintained. Professional, well done displays. 10/10 would go again. Highly recommended!
Great little museum in Trenton. Military get in for free with ID which is a nice bonus. There are some pretty cool planes here that the museum has worked hard on to restore them. The Halifax is worth the trip when you realize how much work went in to it after they pulled it out of a lake. Most of the planes are outside so plan to go on a sunny day and enjoy the museum and the weather. I stop by every time I am in Trenton.
Great representation of our Canadian Military history. Many airplanes and memorials outside to tour. Volunteers are mostly retired veterans.
Great museum showing the history of military aviation in Canada. A few displays were closed due to Covid. The outdoor area was a nice stroll.
Always updating and upgrading the museum.
I thought it would be a quick in/out in an hour. We stayed 2.5+ hours and could have stayed longer. We will be back in better weather to see the planes outside.
Great facility for kids. Very friendly and welcoming tour guide
Loved it
A comprehensive display of materials from Canada's military air history, from WWI to nearly the present day. I particularly liked that even the balloonists of the the first world war got a good nod. Not recommended for visiting when there's a lot of over-excited kids around. I know the museum can hardly pick and choose the mix of customers, but a swarm of screaming Scouts or whatever they were from can really make it hard to take in the history.
Lot of historical aircraft. They accept donations as entrance fee. There's about 9 pokestops here and 2 gyms. Great place for PokémonGo.
Truly amazing. Thank you for your service now and in the past ????????????????????????????????????????
A really GREAT Canadian Museum honouring our servicemen and women! AND... it entry by donation. The Halifax bomber exhibit is fantastic! I know a lot of the men who worked on the restoration, they should be very proud! - The display of aircraft on the grounds rivals most any other airforce museum I've visited (OK, the US Airforce Museum in Akron is killer!)... But, Trenton has a (captured) MIG. :-)
Very cool! Nice and helpful staff. Great for kids who love planes.
Please donate for those old plane.
Very good display of aircraft and Canadian aviation history. Excited to see it continue to grow and improve. Expect a $10 admission fee though. Something new but understandable.
Canadian national airforce museum is a place to visit for both adults and Children. Indoor section has lots of Engines, flight simulators, old brigades uniforms badges etc. Retired volunteer air force officers are doing a fantastic job by explaining. Thank you very much. Outdoor section has airforce helicopters, planes used by canadian forces over the years. Can spend quality 2/3 hours easily.
Fantastic museum with some impressive displays detailing the involvement of the RCAF in international conflicts over the past century. Great collection of planes both inside and outside the museum - important history for Canadians and tourists alike
Good range of activities and information for all ages.
Great museum with great content. The people who work there are not all that friendly. We got bare minimum customer service. The woman behind the counter raised her voice at be because I said my payment method is credit but she wanted to hear if it is MasterCard or Visa. There was one gentleman however who was so kind and friendly and was so eager to share information about the planes.
Awesome experience. The volunteers have created such a lovely place for people to learn about the historical roots of the RCAF. Tremendous efforts put in to recreate war experiences. The memorial walk is stunning. Our heroes deserve it!!!
Was great place to visit.
It was too bad that the museum has been temporarily closed due to Covid, but there is still lots that can be seen with many military aircraft parked outside. You can take photos of these great planes just outside of the security fence and won't have any strangers in the background. But be mindful of the barbed wire at the top of the chain linked fence. There are decades of fighter planes, like the Hurricane, to recently retired electric warfare, troop transport, helicopter search and rescue aircraft. This is a must see beautiful collection that is a national treasure. They really should have a big hangar dedicated to protect these aircraft so that future generations will be able to enjoy them as well. If you like my reviews, photos or videos wave your wings as you fly by and give them a thumbs up.
Great exhibits. A LOT of famous planes used by the RCAF were on display. Great historical information. Loved the fact we could visit the aircrafts on display outside.
Great museum lots of history. Free admission but they do ask for donations which still made it a very affordable fun afternoon.
Unique Canadian knowledge, historical nuggets, great displays, modern facilities, just nice overall.
My family had an amazing time. We had two 7 year old boys with us. We were able to keep them entertained and interested the whole time. The volunteers are incredible and patient and willing to answer all of our questions. I can't wait to visit again.
Really enjoyed this museum. The staff are very helpful and they came over and told us about the different planes and military displays. I can tell they are passionate about aircraft. I liked seeing the drones too. They have everything here for everyone. The place is spotless clean, even the bathrooms. The outdoor displays were well done and it is nice to see all the aircraft up close. I thought it was very thoughtful to have all the tributes to the fallen airmen and women displayed with the planes. This is certainly a must see museum for all ages.
Well maintained place. Worth the visit. Brave men's stories can be heard / read.
It’s very interesting to see the exhibits. If you’re into aviation it’s a place to see. Admission is free or voluntary donation.
Very interesting museum for passionates. There Is a small introduction before starting the visit.
Awesome experience! I would recommend to others. It's definitely worth the visit.
Great family experience! Very reasonable admission..free for children 5 and under Recommend taking the brief tour..lots of info on the planes and their history Fun for kids as they have plane simulators It takes the better part of a day to see all the planes inside and outside You can explore the inside of a Hercules and its cockpit..there are experienced pilots to answer any questions you may have Cafeteria style restaurant available I highly recommend going here..im not much into aviation..but i found myself getting into it Dont forget to donate to the rebuilding of the Lancaster (currently) Will go again!
The Halifax bomber is a unique piece of Canadian history, but its also nice to walk among the aircraft of my 1970s childhood. Old friends.
Great friendly and informative people.
A nice day out
Great place to go with kids lots of stuff to learn about Second World War . Feel so proud of be a part of great and brave Canadian Nation Staff was so nice even gift shop was so reasonable
Super fun! The staff is very knowledgeable and definitely adds a lot of value to your visit.
Everyone should stop by for a visit. On CFB Trenton Air Base. Most enjoyable.
A national treasure. A must see even if planes aren't your thing. Loved the "Halifax" bomber.
Amazing, always a good time here.
You must see this, amazing...
Visited with my 7 years old son. It was a good visit, but it is also a short one. With a kid that age, you will have seen the entire museum in less than 2 hours. There is a lot to see, but not a lot to touch and play with.in fact there is three plane cockpits to play with, and one cesna plane that you can hop in. That's about it in terms of hand-on things to do. The rest is for the eyes only. But very interesting. There's some awesome planes there.
Really enjoyed this. Lots of planes to look at and lots of history. The staff is extremely knowledgeable with some great stories! There are some simulators but are mostly for people over 12. Also don't forget to find the hidden bear for a special gift. There is no entry fee but donations are accepted instead so don't forget to bring some cash!
Exciting Lancaster restoration underway. All volunteer, mostly veteran labor, or should I spell it "labour"?
A great museum for the whole family. Visitors of all ages we there. We were with toddlers and granted we didn't read everything they still enjoyed seeing the planes and learning bits and pieces of our history.
If you love planes, especially military planes! This is the best place
Great venue for a wedding reception or a fundraiser. Fabulous setting among vintage aircraft.
What an honour to walk amongst those who have sacrificed their life for our freedom
What a great museum. They even hid a bear amongst the airplanes for small kids to find, and gave the kids a sticker for finding it! We loved it. It was a great way to spend a few hours on a cloudy day.
Great place to remember our soldiers and the aeroplanes
Good museum...They have a good collection of warplanes from different eras. Star of the show is a reconstructed Halifax Bomber that was salvaged from a lake in Norway and fully restored.
Amazing museum that has only gotten better with the new expansion.
Great place to visit. The guided tour is very informative. Highly recommended.
A little small museum for airplane, no much plane here, but good staff and knowing air force history.
Very nice museum. Lots of aircrafts, even some simulators open to the public. It is worth the 10$ admission fee
Amazing place special thanks to Mike the curator, he spent an hour giving me a tour and it was a once in a lifetime experience! Definitely check it out:)
Very neat place! Tour and see old airplanes, earn all about the history of them and the RCAF.
Amazing experience. Indoor and outdoor aircraft. Well laid out displays. Great for all ages. A wonderful tribute to Canadian aviation history.
Great spot to visit if you're into aviation or a history buff
We read about that Museum via their we b page but found it more interesting and attractive in real life! Very impressive Halifax airplane, very interesting to listen to guide person. Definitely will be back.
Very historic and informative. The place is well maintained by several hard-working volunteers! Good job guys????????
Nice displays, well-versed guides, and you may see a Herc fly past.
Great presentation of history, inside and out. Knowledgeable friendly staff, cool gift store.
Wonderful exhibits and great staff. If you have any interest in aircraft please visit this museum. Staff are great and the displays are awesome.
It was a nice place to visit with some very cool surprises. Like a Spitfire and a Halifax. The gentleman was nice to tell us the story and some technical details about the plane. Sadly, the planes outside need some love and although the building seems recent i would say it needs some love too. It deserves some publicity. Go and visit.
The presentation of the planes was very nice and the fact that you could get all close and personal to the planes. The staff/volunteers were very nice and helpful. There were things to do for kids to keep them entertained and overall a great place.
I might be biased towards the museum because I am military but here I go anyway. This place will surprise you once your in there. It has a ton of interactive exhibits for adults and kids. I would recommend going on a nice day so you can walk around outside and checkout all the aircraft they have on display. There is lots to see so leave yourself some time.
If you like planes or military history this is a great place to visit. Lots to see and do.
So much history. Great for airplane buffs and military buffs
Must see. Need about four hours to see the exhibits and read the amazing stories and history of Canadian avaition. Dress for the weather if going in fall or winter. Do talk to the volunteer staff and listen to their amazing mission stories.
The Halifax bomber exhibit is phenomenal. The lighting is great and the AC is above par. Outside was 37°C and inside was fresh 19.5°C.
Amazing place, lots of history here. Great outdoor displays of restored aircraft. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area, and especially for locals. You might be surprised what is in your own backyard!
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The exhibits are world class...
Loved it. Been twice this year. Great learning experience for everyone.
Great museum! It was very enjoyable for both adults and child (8 years old). Outdoor exhibit is awesome, a great collection of military aircraft. It's a shame that interactive exhibits were closed and it wasn't possible to go inside but we will try to visit in a few ysars again. Worth the 2 hr drive from Toronto.
Nice place to visit; good variety of older aircrafts.
Fantastic displays, so much information. My kids loved getting up close and personal with all of the planes.
Oh wow, what a great museum about the National Air Force of Canada. The museum is located inside and outside (with an extensive collection of planes). There is a lot of informations to read also. It's definitely worth paying $10 for the entrance if you love planes!
cool place to stop for a visit
Nice air force museum in Trenton. Come with girlfriends.
Wonderful informative staff, excellent displays and part of our heritage preserved
This was a really fun aviation museum with some great exhibits, and it's very affordable.
If you're into world war II or cold war era, you will enjoy this place.
Really enjoyed it! Very representative of our aviation history!!!
Wonderful! All people Very smart
Was awesome emotional and fascinating.
If want to see a H.P. Halifax, this is the place. 5 stars for that unicorn (only one other left in the world) alone.
If you love army museums you have to go to this place
There's a giant restored Halifax.
Great display, especially outside. No ropes or barriers so you can walk around, between, even under the planes. A very immersive experience.
Amazing place, so nice and great pleac for everybody who loves a story and aciaavia.
Great place for aircraft and Canadian military aviation history
Quite enjoyable very informative. An excellent way to spend a day.
This museum has a long way to go to reach the level of Hamilton's or Ottawa museums. Still there is an absolutely unique Halifax bomber and some interesting aircraft on the outside display.
Seeing the rebuilt Halifax was fantastic. Well worth the trip!
Wish I could add another star. Just go its well worth it.
Amazing museum! The halifax bomber is really a sight to see. The engine that you can turn and the walls of stories in comic form are pretty cool, the kids loved it.
Really cool place. Easy to spend a few hours here lots to look at.
Very good airplane museum focused on Canadian Air Force. The indoor part displays numerous iconic Canadian aircraft, along with exhibits. I liked that there was an actual plane on the second floor that you could sit in and control the wing etc. Outdoor area has a very large collection of planes on display (along with memorial stones for various Canadian Air force teams). Outdoor is a good place to walk around and advise the size if the planes. Overall highly recommended for anyone posing through the area.
Very Nice place. Nice collection of planes to see.
Great little stop, not a whole lot here but wortg a visit none the less
What a great experience. Very educational and fun to see all the different not only types of aircrafts, but uniforms, stories and awards. A must visit!
It's an Air force museum on an Air force Base so of course there will be great exibits. Like airplanes? Then this is a do-not-miss place to see.
Great little museum. Good documentation with each aircraft. Some of the aircraft outside are starting to look a bit ragged, but repainting a museum piece is expensive...
Most interesting exhibit for me: the one about Stalag Luft III and the contribution of Canadian servicemen in the mass escape from that German POW camp. After watching The Great Escape and then comparing it to what actually happened, it's a bit sad to see how Commonwealth contribution to World War II can be overlooked by both Britain and America.
Well kept museum. Would recommend going during the summer as they have an outdoor exhibit as well.
Great environment, friendly staff. Make sure to book a tour of the Halifax.
Excellent museum housing a large showcase of aircraft from Canada's past and present. A definite worthwhile stop to visit if your in the area or traveling by. 5 min from 401at exit 526. Free admission but accepts donations. Most aircraft are outside in a large enclosed area.
If you like my reviews, photos or videos wave your wings as you fly by and give them a thumbs up.
Great place if you want to know more about Canadian airforce history.Interactive exhibits are closed due to covid restrictions.Outdoor exhibits of military aircrafts are good.A nice place to take your kids.
Great activity for a family to see, explore, experience and learn about Canada’s Airforce.
This was an excellent place to visit. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Lots of great history. Kids enjoy it too.
An excellent collection of aircraft and memorabilia, especially the restored Halifax combined with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wasn't expecting to spend as much time as we did, but had to be politely asked to leave at closing time having not seen everything. Glad we had it on the itenerary for our trip from the UK and conveniently on route from Toronto to Gananoque Looking forward to going back next year for the Ad Astra stone dedication
Clean and very well laid out. The interactive cockpits are fantastic for little ones.
It was great and the tour guides are really nice and dedicated to explain all the stories for each side of the museum. Dawlyne (I hope this is the correct spelling of his name) is such a great person who helped us understand how planes are built and stories behind every drawing on the wall.
Amazing place to learn about Canadian history, especially about aviation during the early 20th century. Safe for all ages.
Either do it self-guided, or take advantage of history filled people giving information on the history that makes our RCAF! Loved all the displays and can see what flew in our history.
Great family trip location. They have a massive lineup of airplanes for everyone to enjoy. As well, they have a CF-18 simulator which you can fly for free. It's not a real simulator but better than nothing. The building looks brand new and has more space for more exhibits. The aircraft outside are now fenced in so you have to go through the building to get close to them. For military and veterans the cost is free just be sure to show your ID.
Loved it
Visited the museum and had a good time. Dwayne was very knowledgeable in retelling the story of the Halifax on display. Many static displays outside to see.
This is a working museum. Which really ups the historical context I found. The true connection to those that served us felt throughout and worth the visit to not only see the past but the real life connections to our past and present veterans.
Tons of displays 2 floors inside and more planes then you can count outside. There is a small gift store inside with nice memoribelia.
I may be biased, but this place just gets better and better! A huge space with endless potential, this museum can't be beat for great history and interpretation about our nation's Air Force...all for FREE. It's great for all ages, and the building even has capacity to used for special events! I had a friend who had thier wedding reception infront of the Halifax; now that is a unique venue!! Please do yourself a favor and check this place out!!
Good place to look back at the history of the air force. Lots to see and learn.
Cover's some interesting information about our military and aviation history.
Wonderful place to visit. Our tour facilitator, Kevin, was amazing and very knowledgeable. Would love to bring cadets here again if we travel near Trenton again.
Very informative, with so much to see! Even as someone who doesn't have loads of military knowledge/interest, I was in awe of the planes, how they've evolved. The outside portion with all of the planes, facts, etc was super cool!
There are so many artefacts here! My partner and I stopped in Trenton on a whim, and this is a great spot to learn more about how the RCAF was created and what they've done over the years.
This is definitely a must see for everyone in the Bay of Quinte area and well worth planning a trip from much further away. It is a treasure! It is not just for military enthusiasts. It is such a part of Canada's history in many ways. It would be a rare Canadian family indeed who does not have a tie to the military. There are fascinating exhibits, beautifully presented. My favourite was the Great Escape exhibit which highlighted the contributions of Canadians to the events that inspired the iconic Hollywood movie of that name. There are enthusiastic volunteers available to answer questions. The aircraft "garden" is really something to see and perfect for a very pleasant walkabout. Make plans to see it this summer!
The museum was quite good, the indoor displays were very good, but the outdoor exhibits were a bit shabby. Lots of free parking, nice souvenir shop. Worth a visit
Amazing displays and lots to check out. Incredible that it's by donation only!
Found this totally by accident. Inside and outside are lots of planes, helicopters and various other air force related things. We had a guided tour of the first floor by a gentleman who was very informative of the various planes on the inside. If one is offered to you take it. It was free with entrance fee.
Fantastic RCAF aviation museum in a nice small town. Deserving of a visit from aviation fans or Canadian military history buffs. Holds a painstakingly well restored Halifax bomber among many displays and an outdoor air park.
Great collection of aeroplanes and engines. The guides are really helpful. I highly recommend you get the guide to show you how the Bristol Hercules Sleeve Valve engine works - there is a crank handle and you can see the sleeve moving. It is fascinating to watch.
The museum is an hour and a half drive from Toronto. Entry to military veterans, of any country, is free. The museum has potential, but the curatorial work is not particularly impressive. The volunteers at the museum are lovely and will be happy to answer any question
Between May and Oct the museum is open 7 days a week from 10 am to 5 pm.
Great place for Air Force fans, not so for aviation enthusiasts. They have quite a large collection of planes and helicopters. Would have been great if the cockpits were accessible! It's a shame that there's almost no mention of Elsie McGill in a Canadian museum of aviation!
Love the history close-up perspective one can get at this place. Full disclosure: the argus there was one my father flew on as crew in the 50's.
An awesome museum. Sad that they went from free to a big increase in entrance fee. It's still not a bad price considering. Love the Halifax.
A gem of a museum with a growing collection of historically significant airplanes on display. More airplanes are being restored for display. The indoor exhibits are very family friendly, with a couple of small airplanes you can sit in. The day we visited a retired pilot was in the outdoor C-130 Hercules talking about his experiences in this airplane type. The outdoor airplanes are on a very accessible walkway.
Friendly staff nicely laid out exhibits of planes. Other displays that were interesting and informative. Made for a pleasant visit
Nice museum. Lots of planes. Helpful staff.
Unique Canadian knowledge, historical nuggets, great displays, modern facilities, just nice overall.
Great collection, well laid out. Fully restored Halifax bomber. Leave about 2-3 to see all the exhibits. Lancaster bomber is being rebuilt schedualed for unveiling in 2024.
Been several years since I had been there, really enjoyed going through again and seeing all their planes and displays!
We took the summer camp crew from Loyalist Martial Arts Academy to the NAFMC today, and were so happy with our trip! All the campers loved the experience and the educational program set out for their age groups.
Enjoyed a nice day wandering around the museum with friendly staff to help with any info we asked for. I suggest if your ever in the area drop in.
Fabulous display and history. A must see. Had dinner in museum catered by Ocassions on the Bay and they did a fabulous job. The bar tending supplied at CFB was less than desirable. Need to train staff to be professional
Good collection, friendly staff. It's a pitt the outside collection is not in good shape.
What an amazing event venue. Clean, well laid out and great staff.
Simoly amazing. Lots of great history for all ages. Great display of the aircraft that marked Canada. A must see
Great place. Lots of things to see. Kids love it too. I get the needing to charge admission. Wish they would have done that in a lower amount from the get go instead of the instant big drop of money when you go in with family. Although members past and present are allowed in free with their ID and are allowed one free guest with them.
Super great experience didnt expect that much enthusiasm from the kids definitely would attend again!
The museum itself is not that large. But what i actuallllly enjoy is its memorial park. This is precisely something that Canada can be proud of. Also, there is something interesting for jewish people there.
So much information, not huge so you don't need a whole day to visit
Awesome must visit place with family... learned about Canadian history
Great museum, very knowledgeable staff and rich collection of aircrafts.
Great place to see some history and war planes friendly people
Love this museum, very educational and free for military members!
Nice place to visit. Outdoor aircraft display is fantastic!
Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. It covers a large area and worth going on a nice day when you can walk around outside to get up close to the aircrafts they have outdoors. We went on a doors open day when there was a scavenger hunt for children (not sure if they always have this, but was a lot of fun for everyone). It's moving to read through all the service plaques in the outdoor museum too.
My kids liked it very much. They climbed couple of the planes and felt the cockpit.
Nice to see some of our Canadian aviation. Wish there was more funding to cover all the planes outside
Grew up just down the road. You can see the passion that was put into bringing the history of the CAF to life. My dad was stationed here as a pilot
Nice collection, friendly staff. It's a pitt the external planes are not in good shape.
Lots of free parking. Never was busy when I visiting. Inside and outside displays
It was a exciting experience I ever had in my life. The people that gave the tours were so good and gave the right information. I for sure recommend this trip for your family.
Great place to know all kinds of airplanes.
Awesome place to take kids. Lots and lots to look at and very friendly staff
Awesome
I enjoyed the museum but was disappointed that we were unable to tour the planes outside. We paid full price for half the exhibit. If the large portion of the museum isnt available I shouldn't be expected to pay full price. Aside from that j throughly enjoyed my experience.
Always a fun and interesting place to visit.
Excellent, Had a great tour given by Air Force veteran, many intersting exhibits, small entrance fee.
The displays are coming along beautifully and the additions are amazing. The entry fee is worth it!
An excellent place to visit and see a piece of our avaition history. Modern building, interactive exhibits. Good for children also.
Great place and great tour guide name Sam thanks great tour and great place definitely recommend this place to anyone
It was winter and the plane yard was closed, however inside is a neat experience. The cost is low and worth it. It has changed so much over the years worth going back to see it.
I loved the place all my questions asked where answered nicely and best they could explain things
Loads of aviation history and information about any war plane that was pressed into military service. Loved it.
Nice museum to know more about history and different planes and choppers used during war. Very knowledgeable and helping staff. It was disheartening that interactive stations and some other stations were closed due to pandemic. A must see for kids and youth. Spend good time with family.
Cool place for adults and kids alike. Nice collections of plans old and new. If you like air planes, this is a good place to visit. Reasonable ticket price too.
A very nice museum for a pilot like myself or for the family man and family!
This is a great place to visit if you're a road trip and passing by. There are some pretty impressive planes on display and you can learn a lot about its history. I was there when they were holding the wings and wheels event. So they had vintage cars with other planes outside. There was even a DJ and a BBQ. It's perfect for a few hours of fun with the family.
perfect place to The the kids and see superb Examples of Canadian aviation history
Took my family and we all loved it. A beautifully rendered museum to remind us of the sacrifices made for us over the past 100 years to current. The veterans staffing the museum and offering their services as tour guides are top notch! Highly recommended for all!
Loved it. Lots of history.
Worth a visit even during Covid. Tour guides are very knowledgeable, friendly and inviting. Very educational and fun for kids.
Great place! And tour guys there if you needed! (Definetley recomended) also staff just walking around and telling stories! Love it!! And outside plane collection is amazing!!
If you love airplanes this is where you go they have older newer all models for display
Well worth the visit. Great place to learn about Canadian Air Force history.
Great collection of historic aircraft. Staff very knowledgeable.
Great exhibit of information and planes. Building was much too cool. Had to wear a jacket.
I love this museum. The building is stunning. They actually offer building rental for events. The museum is Very interactive. You can get in real aircraft training cockpits. They have such a large historical assortment of aircraft on display. Outside and inside should be explored. Many stones are laid along the outdoor walkway, all mention names of airforce soldiers who died. Lots of parking. Free admission for military personnel both serving and retired. The gift shop is amazing. If your looking for military gifts, souvenirs, or beautiful shirts, jackets, hats its all here.
Great place to visit The staff are great Son was disappointed the spitfire wasn't there
Staff are very helpful. Went out of their way to answer my questions and direct me to relevant resources and vendors.
Large collection, organized, knowledgeable billingual guides, very friendly staff, engaging for kids, great COVID19 protocol.
The vintage aircraft displays are very interesting, with each one's history explained on an adjacent plaque. As an added bonus the annual Wheels and Wings Car show is a great event. Very special.
Flight simulators are lots of fun for kids
Top notch. Very knowledgeable staff and volunteers. A lot of Canadian history. Could spend hours there reading the stories. Store, typical to a museum. Prices are a bit high for some stuff.
We took our Cadets there to do a project. . Very knowledgeable stuff we had a great time.
Guided tour was very enthusiastic! Lot of fun ideas to keep the kids interested to learn more of the history and the adults too!
Easy to get to. Parking is plentiful. Displays are great. Must see it.
Great volunteer staff. Great place to take the kids.
My son and I had alot of fun here. He is 7 years old and loves old planes
Nice place, you can sit in a couple mock cockpits and some history
Great museum! Lots of history and many planes to learn about! Gentlemen who explained stuff to us was definitely loving what he did!
beautiful aircraft's for show here, really historic museum for canadian history and world history for that matter
Definitely will go again kids had a surprisingly good time too
Pretty amazing see all those aircraft in one place and the history behind it
Great spot to take the kids or family fromniut of town ! Out side has lots to see. Free to get in. But donations are appreciated!
Great place to check out shows most of the history of the air force in Canada with some interactive displays for kids
Very nice museum, lots of history on display!
A great collection of Canadian military aircraft and they need our support to be able to care for this collection properly.
Very interesting place. Can easily spend the day exploring this place.
My son and I loved it
Well preseeved aircraft and dummy cockpits which one can enter and experience. Two static displays (incl C-130 Hercules) can be entered into on Saturdays (against an extra fees). Must visit place for any aviation lover.
It you haven't been, it is well worth it. You can easily spend a few hours. Great for kids and adults alike.
Good collection, nice staff. It's a pitt the outdoor collection is not in good shape.
Great experience
Great little stop for some military history. Nice displays, overall a pleasant experience.
Clean. Nice layout. Kids loved being able to hop into a few of the planes and simulators.
Really enjoyed my time and got lots of neat pics
Loved the original museum and will love the new addition once all the displays are set up...
Haven't been here for a while they've really mass it nice. Nice place for a family visit
Friendly staff. Inside and outside visit is neat. Wide variety of Canadian air force aircraft. Cool visit for kids.
Visited museum and we were so impressed with the friendly and extremely well informative staff. There is a huge amount of history in one area. A definite must see!
Should never have to provide private medical information to do anything in our so called "free" country! I'm ashamed of this!
The Museum has alit of great things going on all the time. They have a large selection of aircraft from various different eras and plaques giving a description. It's a great place to go to take the whole family to see a little bit of history of the Air Force and highly recommended.
Great little slice of Canadian Air Force history! Indoor and outdoor displays with great but sometimes tragic stories behind them.
Great museum, friendly staff. Worth a visit. Free for veterans and serving members.
Well worth the drive out from the GTA. Make sure to visit the outdoor area as well
Terrific museum for Military, Aircraft, History lovers. Very knowledgeable veteran volunteers acting as guides really create a rich informative experience. Several hands on displays both indoor and outdoor exhibits. Entry fees between 5 and 8 dollars depending on age. Might be free to veterans.
Great exhibits... recommend to any aviation buffs RCAF proud
Great place to take the kids and see flight in its early stages
Been a few times and will continue visiting.
What a wonderful museum! Inside, is a large amount of airplane/air force history, cool plane simulators, and great souvenirs in the gift shop. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of airplane/air force history or someone who just likes airplanes.
Great place for kids and adults to see what our past was like
Very friendly staff. We took our grandchildren and they loved it as much as we did!
Very interesting history about the RCAF.
Great if you're into planes. If you stop to read everything it would probably take two hours. I got through it in an hour. There is a big out door area so be prepared for hot days. The building is nice and cool. Washroom was clean. They had some tables setup for taking a break. Gift shop was ok. Lots of parking
Excellent display of aircraft and ephemera. Very moving tributes to Canadian who have given their lives for peace and freedom. There are a lot of aircraft trainers that are fun to try out (especially for the kids.) A nice addition for the trainers would be a simple explanation of how to use the six-pack. Don't miss the exhibit on "The Great Escape."
We stopped in Sunday at 4pm on a whim while driving by but they closed at 5. We spent most of our time outside and next time we will plan a longer visit to read more of the stories. The hour was still worth it... There is a lot of history to take in here and it I think it helps give the kids a better appreciation for a few things. First, it's a great platform to talk about how their great grandfathers protected our country, and how lucky they both were to have survived battle. We got to see the type of plane my grandpa would have fought in as a gunner, got to see just how big planes and rescue choppers usuually are, and how small some of them can be, all the little pieces that go together to make these man-made birds fly, and how equipment evolves over time to suit different purposes. It's also interesting to view a plane from above, and to see the attire worn by male and female soldiers wore back then. The short time there prompted a lot of questions and I hope a taste for more learning. As many parents will appreciate, the pre-recorded voice that announces the 15-minute warning and closure time is so clear and authoritative, there is no bellyaching at time of departure. At least there wasn't for us... We said "I guess just have to come back another time", and that was that! LOL! And we do plan to come back.
Really cool place. Lots of memorabilia to see and learn about. They have the main large building with two levels you can walk through and learn lots of history and see old aircrafts and things related. Outside they have a path you walk though and see lots of more aircrafts. Definitely worth the visit and cheap to get in.
Displayes excellent, very informative and museum staff very helpful. I would like to see outside exhibit planes cleaned up a bit but overall I enjoyed myself. I will be back and hopefully I can get a closer look at landcaster bomber. Good work people
National Air Force Museum is located at Canadian Forces Base Trenton Ontario...It is an amazing experience to step back in time...The airplanes inside & outside represent the past, present, future of our Canadian Air Force...The museum teaches us all about where the Canadian Military has served all over the world & wars they have fought in...It is so amazing to see the displays, learn more about the rich Canadian history of the Military... This is a must see for everyone!!!
My husband and I came to Trenton and area for a mini vacation. We decided to visit the National Air Force Museum. We were greeted by Jim E. He asked us if it was our 1st time. When we said yes he offered a guided tour. Very friendly and knowledgeable and knows his history. Thank You Jim! John & Laurie from Pembroke
Pretty intresting place. Lots of neat things to look at.
Excellent value great content and information. Some exhibits public allowed inside. Good parking refreshments nearby
Amazing collection of aircrafts divided between indoor and outdoor displays. They looked like they are well cared for. Well worth the visit.
Great spot if you love the history of the Canadian Air Force and it's aircraft.
Awesome place to check out if you are in Trenton! Lots of cool planes and history to been seen. Also very nice people that work here!
Great facility excellent display great staff super clean and well lit
I would come here again and again. I recommend to come here to see all beautiful planes
Excellent look back at the history of the air force. Lots to see and learn. Knowledgeable volunteers to answer all your questions.
Excellent tour hosted by our knowledgable, volunteer guide.
Awesome experience for kids and adults
Really enjoyed it. Avro Lancaster was in restoration, but at least there was a Halifax, and CF-18
Superb museum that is still being added to. I really enjoyed the layout of their outdoor display of planes rather than the usual air museums that usually cram them indoors.
Lots of old aircraft and flight simulators. Very nice exhibit about the great escape in ww2. Prefect rainy day activity!
Love the items and had a wonderful trip down memory lane!
I had an amazing time on space day with my son it was great and had so many helpful people
Nice display of history and aircrafts.
Great Place vary knowledgeable staff and superior exhibits.
Awesome! We come here regularly. Always something new to learn
Great place to learn about our aviation history. Amazing staff and some veterans with lots of knowledge and stories.
Amazing place to visit . Very knowledgeable people to show you around . Tons a planes from various periods.
Very educational and a good representation of the history of the airforce in Canada.
Great place with lots of history.
This is one of my favorite places to visit during fall time. I love taking my time while looking at the planes. The staff is always very helpfull.
Stone memorials needed weeding. But otherwise interesting.
