This was closed when I drove through. It is okay but I didn't feel it had much to offer where barkerville is so close. Want high on my list on enjoyment, but that is just me.

Cottonwood house is a great place to camp! They have little cabins, camp sites, & RV hook ups. Nice, big picnic tables & fire pits and firewood can be purchased. The historic site is really neat to check out. They even have a double barn! This is a place we will definitely stat again.

Don't just drive by this place on your way to Barkerville. This is an adorable historical site and is also brought alive by performers. Take the wagon ride too.

My grandparents literaly live right across this place. Ive got fond memories from there as a kid. Mind you this was several years ago but i feel the charm has not been lost if never had been at all

What a beautifully well maintained historical site! We met Jordan who was working there the day we stopped and he was absolutely fantastic, energetic and knowledgeable! I do wish when we went to Barkerville that they would have mentioned or even suggested a stop here as they are both important historical sites. The cabins are a wonderful addition.

Awesome when its open. Operators run Barkerville historical site as well but neglect the Cottonwood site for profit when both are important historical sites and should be treated as part of a whole rather than which costs more for returns. Cotton wood is necessary not an option to close just cause it's less revenue earning. Shame on the operator I suggest boycott Barkerville until Cottonwood House is open every day Barkerville historical sites is open. Shame

We enjoyed our stay despite having to pay for an extra cabin because their website is out of date and lists the bed number incorrectly. the place was clean and quiet. Don't forget mosquito repellent.

(Translated) Simple little place in the middle of the forest. Very nicely located. Each place has wooden tables and benches and a barbecue area. You can get a whole cart full of wood for $ 10. There is no electricity or water. There is a footpath along the road to Baskerville about 2 km (Original) Einfacher kleiner Platz mitten im Wald. Sehr schön gelegen. Jeder Platz hat Holztische und Bänke und einen Grillplatz. Holz bekommt man für 10 Dollar eine ganze Karre voll. Strom und Wasser gibt es nicht. Es gibt einen Fussweg entlang der Strasse bis Baskerville ca. 2 km
