Good close up look of an old technology. Could use more information at the site, such as an explanation of the function of an old piece of equipment on the property. Planer I think. Very pretty setting.

A shoutout to the young man who was manning the sawmill museum today. Early afternoon on Tuesday, July 20/19. Extremely congenial, engaging and knowledgeable ... celebrating his 16th birthday working. Kudos to him. Thanks for an enjoyable visit and for a bob well-done.

Neat place too see, we enjoyed our visit. We didn't realize that the sawmill actually still runs on wensdays of the river is high enough. Its too bad we didnt get to see that but its worth a stop even when its not running. Admission is super cheap

Lovely and well-kept museum. Nice little place tucked away. However, the sawmill is currently not working, so the Wednesday demonstrations are cancelled.

We made a special trip to see the log cutting demonstration, which is listed on their website as occurring Wednesdays at 3:00. Their equipment is broken, so there is no demonstration. They should change this information their website. Other than that disappointment, it was an interesting visit.

Lots of history on display and very knowledgeable young man to answer questions. Excellent experience! And the drive to the mill on old back roads (paved all the way) is wonderful. Well worth the drive.
