The museum is okay, but really, you are there for the bus tour of the military base were you could get the chance to see a few CF-18 take off before your eyes. The various retired plane outside are also nice to look at. Make sure to book a tour in advance and to plan your visit for the best experience.

There is also a guided tour which we no longer took because the employee told me that their vehicle is not suitable for a wheelchair. Small but well put together and a good static display of post WW2 aircraft. You will whip round the main exhibits so allow around 45 minutes for this maximum. There are guided tours of the museum which we skipped and also a bus tour of the operational airfield which we didn’t have time for. Points for effort offering a kids activity and the staff were friendly and good with the children. Worth a small detour rather than a specific trip but a good museum.

Worth cheking out in my opinion. There are quite a few planes on static display. Those includea CF-18 Hornet that that you can get right in the cockpit. There is also a small but good indoor museum with some interesting information about the history of the base as well as some very nice books about the base. Admission is free for Cadets, Military and Veterans, approximately $15 for civilians if I recall correctly.

Nice small museum. Outdoor display is amazing considering you can come close and touch each aircraft! Indoor visit are really nice as well. Simulator is a nice experience, but a bit expensive for the time it lasts.

Tour guidé de la base avec un militaire qui nous à fait découvrir le fonctionnement de la base et avons eu la chance de voir décoller 3 CF-18 ainsi que deux avions d'entraînement qui quittaient tous pour un entraînement de combat. Nous avons également eu le plaisir de s'asseoir dans un CF-18 accompagnés d'un pilote qui nous a expliqué de long en large les commandes et répondu à toutes nos questions. Un gros 3 heures de plaisir et de découverte!

A great experience. There is also an RV hunter pilot simulation offered for an additional $ 35. We are in a relatively realistic cockpit with throttle, pedal etc ... with several choices of scenario. A soldier explains what is going on and gives instructions on how to fly the aircraft. (Original) Excellent. Beaucoup d'info, plusieurs vrais avions chasseurs exposés, visites de la base militaire incluse, et plusieurs decollages de chasseurs CF-18 à moins d'1 km durant la journée par des militaires canadiens qui s'entrainent. Une belle experience. Il y a aussi une simulation de pilotage de chasseur en VR offert pour 35$ de plus. On est dans un cockpit relativement realiste avec manette de gaz, pedale etc... avec plusieurs choix de scenario. Un militaire explique ce qui se passe et donne des instructions sur comment piloter l'appareil.
