On moving day, the guys honestly treated our stuff better than I would have. Even the super at our new building commented on the care they took with each item. The Piece of Cake guys who orchestrated our move this week were nothing short of fantastic. It definitely wasn’t an easy job (we were departing from a four-floor walkup two-bedroom apartment with many heavy, bulky pieces of furniture) but they worked really hard while being very cautious and considerate and got everything done in an impressive time span. Filip also made the whole booking experience very pleasant and was very responsive and helpful from the get-go. We will recommend Piece of Cake to all of our friends. Moving generally feels like a nightmare for me but this was as great of an experience as it could have been.

EXCELLENT!! We used them to move upstate from Brooklyn and they were amazing. Professional, FAST and super helpful. They arrived on-time and ready to work. I've never seen movers move so fast. We hadn't quite finished packing and they were super helpful. Even when we had car trouble and were late to meet them upstate, they were patient and understanding. When they were finally able to unload the truck into our house, they were still super patient, kind and wanted to make sure they had everything in the right rooms. Moving can be a nightmare but the Piece of Cake team made our experience very positive from the very first contact with Bobby on the phone to set up the move. Would definitely recommend this company!

I used this service to pack up my NYC apartment and keep the items in storage until I decided where it was going / needed it. What drew me to this company was that they would come packup the stuff, keep it in storage and could move it across the country to LA. The NYC packing and moving was great - they provided all the materials and were super efficient. They didn’t necessarily take their time packing it and threw stuff into boxes, but I wrote it off because I figured things would be safe in the boxes in storage then during the move. Wow was I wrong! Long story short, I finally figured out my life and coordinated the move to LA - but I wanted some things to go to Bloomfield, NJ to my friend’s house (18 miles from NYC). I went through the itemized receipt with the customer service associate, Neda, who had been super helpful so far. BUT The items never arrived in NJ. When I called the company they said it was a computer glitch and the truck was loaded with the items but there was no one to pick up the stuff..my friend sat around for 4 hours waiting for the truck that literally never came! In an effort to save costs I ended up deciding I didn’t want the items (all furniture) to come in the move across the country and I organized for them to dispose of the items, and ensured that they would waive the cost of disposal given the “glitch in the system”. I ended up shopping around to see if I could find a cheaper price for the move, which I did, but Neda assured me that was a scam, it shouldn't be that cheap to move, etc. and I also read in reviews on the BBB that they didn’t have across state DOT licenses for moving, but Neda also assured me that’s not correct and they could move the stuff and had the right licenses to do so. I end up going with them for simplicity's sake and I didn’t want to deal with it - I just wanted my boxes here. Fast forward 2 weeks, the truck arrives, my boxes are completely destroyed, all the furniture is in the shipment (that was supposed to have been disposed of after the “glitch in the system”) and it’s a truck from a company that isn’t associated with Piece of Cake moving at all - it’s another company that’s been contracted out by then, so the movers were insistent that they couldn’t be held responsible for any of the damages and the boxes arrived to them like that. I feel completely ripped off and stressed out and would never want anyone to go through this. So please avoid this company entirely!!

As a procrastinator of course I waited a couple days before I had to officially move to hire movers. Fran from piece of cake helped me nonetheless. She was super responsive, helpful and got me booked right away! The movers they sent were super nice and handled my things with care. I highly recommend piece of cake. This was literally one of least stressful moves I have ever had.

I've never used a moving company before and saw Piece of Cake trucks all over the city. I called them, among a couple other companies, and they easily had the best rate and best customer service. Leading up to the move, Milica was so helpful and responsive. A day before my move, they generated a COI no problem. Day of the move, my movers were friendly and efficient. They made me feel comfortable and took great care of my furniture. I will call them again when I move!

The move went super quick and super smoothly! They came in and packed things up so fast it felt like a whirlwind had passed through. Movers were very kind and professional, treated everything with care, nothing was damaged, and when the move ran into an unexpected staircase in the new building, they were very understanding and didn't charge me extra (though I tipped extra because it was a tall flight of stairs!). When moving things into the new place they were equally good interior designers and helped me decide where to put furniture. Will definitely use again!

I used these guys for my recent move. The unit I was moving into had several changes needed for our application so the date kept having to be moved back. Bobby could not have been more than accommodating and understanding. He made everything so easy. With all the craziness, we decided to use their service for them to pack everything for us - BEST MONEY EVER SPENT. We literally were just sitting there on the bed and only had to move to get up when they had to pack up the bed. Alex and the movers were so kind and friendly. They answered every question I had and anticipated my needs beforehand. I even received an email making sure the move was going well. The entire process was so great and I really felt like it was a top service because I didn't have to do any work, just detail what needed to be packed, and pay. I'll definitely be using Piece of Cake Moving for any moves in the future, and storage when I need it.

We didn't have a good experience with this company. We were drew to them because of their packing services. We actually tried to pack as much as possible beforehand anyway to make the process faster. For the things we did leave them to pack they wrapped tables and dressers straight with a strong adhesive tape which now ruined my desk, coffee table and dresser since even after spending hours trying to take the tape off and using special products they remained damaged. Not to mention a leather chair that had a hole like if they would have stabbed it with a knife. And on top of all that, even though we went through the whole apartment with them and told them everything has to go, they left two full cabinets in the kitchen and a whole closet in the apartment entrance which we had to move ourselves after they were gone. I would not recommend this if you care about your things.

I had a truly exceptional moving experience with Piece of Cake. Both the preparation with the office as well as the move itself exceeded my expectations (plus, they had the most competitive price out of all companies I compared). Huge shout-out to Luca and Mo (the movers) who not only did an excellent job, but were super friendly and helpful as well. When they first delivered my stuff, the vacuum cleaner was missing. I wanted to let that slide because I have another one and it wasn’t a big deal. Without me notifying them that anything was missing, they showed up again the next day and delivered the missing vacuum cleaner. That’s above and beyond what I expect. I was recommended to you guys by a coworker up in NYC and can I say I am so happy with how the move went I do regret not being able to be here as we moved from NYC down to GA. Had a wonderful experience with Piece of Cake Moving. They were recommended to me by a friend so I had high expectations...and they were more than met. My move window was 9-11 am and they arrive exactly at 9 am. The two movers were friendly and professional...and very efficient. I had close to 60 boxes, artwork, a small pieces of furniture which were going from a high-rise building to a storage space. They handled both ends of the move with perfection. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free professional move! Great job!

The staff was extremely responsive when I reached out for a quote and the price was very fair and reasonable compared to the other quotes I got. The COI process was clear and quick as well. Adding items and getting revised quotes for the fixed rate was super simple and the movers were very efficient and quick with the move! I would highly recommend them for your next move!

Late post, We moved out of NYC due to a "creature" invading our space. I called Piece of Cake to remove my stuff from the Apartment. The Quote was in at a reasonable price. The next day, I received a call from Joshua that their truck is on it's way. A hour later, the truck arrives (budget truck not the signature pink truck), I show them the pieces that needed to be moved and they did their business. They return the pieces an hour and 40+ minutes later due to traffic. All of them we're maintained and stored safety. I gave them a tip for their gratitude and thanked them. Four and a half months later, I encouraged my mother to called PoC after paying a whopping $700 for the first half of pieces back to NY to a third party mover. She called for a quote and paused the first time (wrong number of pieces), then granted a second quote which was corrected. I went back to our now old apartment in JC (Missing the city already) to take care of the rest. There goes Joshua and his partner (forgot his name) in the Pink Cargo van. I guided them to the pieces and they sort out the rest of the stuff. Went back in NYC to the previous apt complex and all the pieces were secured. Didn't have the funds to tip them this time, but my Sibling took the time to do it for me. Overall, great moves none the less. Big Thanks to Josh for taking care of his duties. P.S. From beginning to end, the process with Piece of Cake was easy. Hence...Piece of Cake. I don't think I have ever had a move this easy. Granted...it was a simple move. My office was moving everything out of our storage space which was a room that was maybe 9'x12'. Mostly everything was already packed in our own containers, but a lot of it wasn't and needed to be packed into the movers containers. The showed up on time, were extremely nice and communicative, packed all of our things, delivered them and unpacked them too. It made my life so easy! I would use them again for sure.

Moving is hard! I had major crippling anxiety just thinking about the day of the movie especially since we were moving to a new home four hours away and my past experience with moving was the worst (no seriously, there were two times with different local companies that I had to sit in the truck so they didn't get tickets and they literally took over 10 hours to move my one bedroom apartment and that's with everything already packed! And in the winter too.And then they tried to get more money from me even though they did preliminary walk throughs and agreed on a price. Anyway, not good!) There was no need to worry with Piece of Cake moving at all !! From my first video call with Artem, to Goran and his team the process was a breeze and I got a great rate. Goran and his team arrived right on time, ready to go and got everything done in an hour, I am amazed by their professionalism and fast work. They were friendly and communicative and got things done. Same fast work when we got to the new house and they got furniture through very narrow stairs and doorways. Super nice hardworking guys made the process easy. I would use POC and especially Goran's team again in a heartbeat! Recommend them to everyone I know.

This is my first major move and I had zero experience on how a moving process gets done. My first point of contact was Mia and she was on point with communication, sense of urgency and also was able to accommodate us in a tight deadline in less than 24 hours. Moving team arrived today morning as scheduled and were working tirelessly but at the same time were careful with my boxes, furniture, decoration and plants to mention some things. My move was from a 2 story with elevator to a 5 story without elevator, it was a lot of work. Their teamwork and coordination was impressive and they were on top of the job the whole time. They were also very attentive to what goes were and careful moving things out and bringing them in to the apartment. They installed my bed just the exact way it was before. A move like mine was something I could consider complex due to amount of flights and the size and pieces to have to be moved and with that being said, these are the 3 things I did, and I encourage everybody to do the same: 1. Buy food for them 2. Help them in any way you can without interfering with their tasks 3. Tip them equally From Mia to the moving crew, all of them were respectful, professional and on point. Piece of Cake could not have provided a better, easier and quicker moving experience! All of the coordination was handled simply and easily online in advance, on the day of the move the movers arrived on time and had no issues with parking on my very narrow, very busy street. They quickly and carefully loaded all of my belongings into their vehicle without any issues and unloaded them at my new address just as smoothly, all in under an hour! The delivery building has a number of requirements for movers, all of which were followed by Piece of Cake with no issues at all! I've had to move 6 times in the last 15 months for professional and personal reasons and I've never had a move go as smoothly as it went with Piece of Cake! I would recommend them to anyone I know and plan to use them for all of my moves going forward!

Everything about Piece of Cake was a dream. Moving sucks, especially state to state (this move was Philly -> Brooklyn, 2nd floor walkup -> 3rd floor walkup), but everyone at Piece of Cake made the actual moving part amazing. Originally was in touch with Gordana who send me a quote and was responsive even around holidays to my myriad of questions, always happy to help and/or offer new quotes and amounts based on possible changes to what would be moved (was figuring out what furniture I wanted to bring in addition to boxes). Truly a pleasure to work with up until the day of. Day of the move, Ado and his partner arrived within the arrival hours, close to the earlier time which was great. He gave a call when they were around 15 minutes away which was nice and helpful, so I could meet them outside. Ado came up to take a look at everything and then went to park and start moving. I was stressed just in general on moving day and he was super nice and all about that my job packing was done and now it was their job to get it all moved. He and his moving partner were super quick and efficient with furniture and boxes - it was pretty amazing. I also noted a few paintings to take extra care with and he made sure to. Then they were on their way. Unloading the truck was the same care and efficiency as the loading was - I had someone else meet them there as I finished up cleaning and they had great things to say about Ado and his partner too. I couldn't have asked for anything or anyone better - they were nice, professional, and caring, and really went to lengths to make the move so much easier! After the move, I got a call from Piece of Cake to check in on how the move went. It was a really nice touch and I was happy to share how thrilled I was with them! Had been a bit nervous and hesitant about booking them (as I always am with movers but especially with their lower prices), but I'm so happy I did! Everything was easy and really great. Would definitely use them again in the future.

This was my third COVID move within Manhattan and first time using this company because of a horrific experience with my last movers. I cannot speak to the positivity of my experience enough. My movers (Dejan in particular was so friendly and literally a moving master) were both professional, warm, respectful, and unbelievably quick but with care—both moving out and moving in to the new place. I am so pleased I did my research and gave these guys a shot. While I am hoping not to move again anytime soon, I will definitely be using Piece of Cake again.

My move was a piece of cake! Their website is very informative; I received a quote within 24 hrs of requesting one. They confirmed the details a few times up to the day before the move. On the day of the move, they showed up on time; they were cautious with the furniture and loaded the truck promptly. At the Drop-off location, they unloaded faster yet! They checked where I wanted them to place the items and were just as careful putting the furniture in its place. The guys were very polite. Definitely worth the price. Thank you!

What a delightful, great value service! Booking process: After much quote shopping, Piece of Cake gave me the lowest, flat-rate quote by far. The booking agent, Milo, was responsive and friendly. He even allowed adding extra items free of charge. Instructions given for paying the invoice were easy and clear. Day of move: Friendly movers arrived early, took great care to wrap and handle my items, loaded all of my stuff into their cute pink truck with ease, drove back to the city without issue, and unloaded it all up three tricky flights of steps. Outstanding service! Great customer support and communication. I hired this company last minute after my original moving company “Fine Express” canceled on me hours after the scheduled arrival time. I called at 11am and had a team at my door by 5pm that same day. The truck they arrived with was too small so I contacted the company and the manger sent an additional truck. Thank you Vojin Popovic! Price quoted was reasonable. I lived in a 3rd floor walk up with a lot of things and it was a hot humid day. They wrapped and secured my items. The team was quick and efficient. They saved me!

We just moved with Dennis and Andrew recently and it was a tremendous experience. Not only were they punctual, professional, and efficient, but they were equally just really nice guys. They moved in our entire apartment quickly, but with amazing care. They also did an amazing job fitting our furniture in tight spaces and getting our home set up as if it was their own. The thing that was most impressive was I never felt like they were moving slowly. Instead, they were super fast and for comparison, another moving company moved half of what they moved in double the time. Highly recommended! I used POC movers for my long distance move from NY to FL and they took such amazing care of my belongings. Everything was thoroughly wrapped and protected. Vladimir was amazing as always - got me restarted with a reasonable quote and my original moving list, and even provided flexibility around logistics as I was searching, in quick order, for a new home. On moving day, the crew was top notch again - Stefan and Davor moved an entire truckload of items on their own in just a few hours (and up several flights of stairs for some items). With all the bad luck we had on our move last month, these guys made things as stress free as humanly possible. Thanks again guys, you're the best.

The team did an unbelievable job completely packing us and moving us across town in just 4 hours. We didn’t lift a finger the entire time. A piece of furniture is missing. They do not understand instructions concerning protocol in different types of buildings. Only one mover ever smiled, which was disconcerting. Did not offer to put certain pieces back together again. When asked, mover did not know how to do it and left it non-usable unless I take it apart again, which is not easy for me to figure out how to do. Some boxes are missing, of the group of boxes that I unfortunately did not number—books.

Due to external factors the shipment got delayed past the guaranteed arrival date. This caused us some inconvenience as we had to rent a short term apartment for 4 nights. Piece of Cake reconfirmed the new arrival date and this was fulfilled. The movers were very nice and helpful unloading and assembling our furniture. Nothing was broken. Piece of Cake took our additional out-of-pocket expenses into consideration and offered us generous compensation which we gladly accepted. The rate was reasonable and the movers were extremely professional and flexible in rolling with some last minute additions to our list of items. All of our belongings were packed and moved with care and our customer service rep Neda was extremely responsive from start to finish. Neda also helped us quickly resolve one unanticipated storage charge and helped us get refunded even though the rate was mentioned in the terms and conditions and we just missed it (always read those!) I had to move my belongings from my apartment into storage. The boxes and in some cases the items were dented and banged up. After moving the items out of storage it turned out multiple boxes were missing. Unfortunately I was not able to move out of storage until after their cut off for submitting reports of damaged or missing items. While this part is certainly my own fault, the fact that multiple boxes were missing falls to the moving company. The crew that moved the items out and assisted in packing some of the items were great, but I can not say the same for the crew that loaded and unloaded the truck out to the end destination.

I recently used Piece of Cake to help my mom move to a new apartment in Queens and she had a poor experience. First of all, after filling out the form and letting them know exactly what needed to be moved, the movers tried to claim that there was additional furniture that they were not informed about and they asked for another $150 in cash on the spot, which my mom had no problem with. But then after asking for more money, they refused to take a rug which my mom had to leave behind. If they were charging more money, why not just take everything? Second, when my sister and mom asked them if there was anything left in the truck, they repeatedly said no. They had already gotten in touch with the company so my mom could give feedback on the phone as if they were ready to leave. My mom insisted on going down to look in the truck herself and there was still a huge box still there! It is only a 1 bedroom apartment, so she noticed immediately that she was still missing things, so why were they insisting that there was nothing left? Finally, they were supposed to reassemble all the furniture but did not do the TV, saying that they were instructed not to. Overall, I will not be using this company again.

We recently had a great experience moving from apartment to apartment in Manhattan. Filip was very helpful in getting us a quote and getting an inventory for the move, and we ended up paying exactly the quoted amount. Everyone was very responsive and quick to answer all of our questions. When we had to make last minute adjustments to our move date, everyone was incredibly accommodating in making the change and was quick to get us updated COIs and docs required for both buildings. We did the move over 2 days, where everything was packed on the first day and loaded onto the truck and moved on the 2nd day. Both days, the team arrived right on time and moved incredibly fast! Everything made it to our destination with no lost / damaged items, including a TV and several computer monitors. I'll definitely reach out to Piece of Cake again for my next move.

Fantastic! My husband and I moved from Brooklyn to LI. Our apartment was located across the street from a firehouse. Not taking into consideration, I scheduled the move on 9/11. The movers were not able to park on the block because of the memorial and had to park around the corner. They were so professional and handled the move like champs. Update from below: the customer service team was quick to remedy the situation and provided a full refund, advocating that this experience was not their norm by any means. I greatly appreciated the gesture and consideration towards a comprehensive apology. “Stop Work Order” is the actual name of their company. On my move I was quoted an amount that made sense for a less than one mile move from one 1BR apartment to another of similar size in Williamsburg. This was the biggest cheat of my 5 moves in New York City. The day of I was greeted aggressively by Marco, a crew mover. He immediately began to argue with me unprovoked stating I would have to move my things by myself. I repeatedly stated I didn’t want to fight or start the move on a bad foot but he continually went back to me with staunch aggression. I asked him who to call and he without looking at me in the eye to call the number. Is this because I’m a woman of color? He was incredibly emotionally charged and I genuinely felt threatened. The dispatcher was more pleasant on the phone of course to collect more money. This company asks for every item to the detail and is willing to hold you hostage as stated in other reviews before fulfilling what you paid for. Go for another company, piece of cake is not worth your trouble during a move.

Piece of Cake surpassed my expectations, particularly with my XL sized pieces of furniture up a 5th floor walk up. I watched them gracefully carry my 49” bookcase around narrow hairpin stairway turns. It was clear they weren’t just strong, but also extremely skillful at careful maneuvers with large items in small spaces. Sustainability is built into their business model with reusable bins. It didn’t hurt that the hot pink bins made the move feel a little brighter. They arrived with an itemized list of every item we listed. We weren’t exact in our initial email, so we had to make adjustments on moving day with the main office. To all future movers - be as precise and thorough as possible in your list of items that won’t fit in a bin (ie large mirrors, large framed art, etc). All in all, I’d give Piece of Cake 5/5 stars!

I had to make a last move from my apartment and my coworker recommended this company. I meet Martin or Marten and Stephan and they were very professional and very helpful. During the move I saw the door open from my apartment and I thought the cat took off. They finished load the car but they stayed and helped me look for the cat outside thinking that she took off.
