I am still waiting for a response from them since last week, when their movers charged us for 5 hours yet took just over 2 and only moved 5/6 items to their storage unit- which is not accessible to us amd which they can basically, hold our belongings hostage. We were charged $900 on credit card for just over 2 hours work. We were quoted $109 per hour. If we don't have an explanation soon we will be looking at small claims court! This is ridiculous. Definitely thumbs down. Try returning your calls guys! ****************** Thank you for your reply Wiebe's. Unfortunately I am "not allowed" to reply to it. Very happy with Simon and the moving team at Wiebe's Moving & Storage. Wiebe's did an out of town move for us in Manitoba and did an excellent job. Simon provided options for moving as well as incorporating a delivery of items that we wanted to put in storage. The moving team of Derek and Don were very professional, on time, and were attentive to all of our requests loading and unloading the moving truck. They even had some great suggestions for furniture placement in our new place! We were very pleased that the total moving costs were within the original estimated budget. We would definitely contact Wiebe's for any future move and highly recommend them.

The movers did not stick to the quote I was given before the move. They moved slowly and I was charged extra. They wear jackets/shirts reminding customers they work for tips. I will not use this business again.

TLDR - Moving staff (Derek and Don) were great, friendly and efficient. However, be very clear when booking a move, and get everything in writing before making deposits or moving belonging into storage. We were not pleased when our 'miscommunication' occured that cost us hundreds of extra $$$. Wife and I booked Wiebes through a family referral who had moved from one home directly into another. We however, needed to have our belonging stored for two months while we waited to get possession of the new home. I was very explicit when we booked that I needed items moved out into storage, stored for exactly two months, then moved into the new house. I was quoted a price, which was very reasonable, and substantially cheaper than other movers. I readily agreed, paid my deposit and moved on. A month and a half later I called to confirm the move out of storage into my new home, I would learn that I was originally quoted for the move into storage and not out. Meaning my original quote was only for HALF the move, making their price no longer competitive at all. Their claim was that they could not have quoted for the whole move, that they have never done that before, because they couldn't know how much it would cost. Despite the fact, that they gave me a quote for the first move into storage, having only needed my currerent address, and they had my new address all along, because I knew when we were moving out. I understand their stance if someone was booking for storage not knowing when they would be moving out, but I knew upfront how long I would be there, where all the items were moving from and to, and everywhere else I called quoted everything upfront, much as I understood Wiebes was doing as well. What should have cost us $1600 cost nearly $3000, a price I wouldn't have considered for a moment if I knew it would be that much. Moving staff was the only silver lining, they were fantastic and did an amazing job. If youre not using storage, I would recommend, otherwise there are far more adorable options elsewhere.

They moved us October 2017. We paid extra for the third man. Communication with the office was great, the movers had great attitudes and worked really hard. We bought pizza for lunch and they were very appreciative. Someone on here was put off by the tshirts (which said we EARN our tips) but I disagree and appreciated knowing it was a tipping situation. It’s not like you hire movers every day and I personally didn’t realize so I was glad I had a chance to run to the bank machine. Very happy with the service and would recommend.

I used this company for my move in January. In the weeks prior to the move Simon was always available for any questions or concerns I had as I was packing. The two men were professional and helpful. They came into my home, reviewed what needed to be done and got to work. They moved my home start to finish in 4 hours just as Simon had estimated. Granted I was only moving a few blocks but the move was efficient and professional. There was not a scratch or dent on either residences or any of my property. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again in a heartbeat. Hard to believe some of the poor reviews left by others based on my experience. Jane Hill

Not very impressed with this company. I booked my move 10 days ahead of time, i called back 5 days before my move to give my credit card information and confirm the date and time of the move. All seemed fine. Well I was wrong. I had this feeling I needed to call the morning of my move to confirm the time and address. Well it's a good thing I did. They didn't have me on the list for a move that day, I received no paperwork to review, sign and send back. The guys arrived about 3pm, they didn't put down carpet runners, made a mess of the carpets on the stairs. They were quick getting the small amout of items I had out to the truck. We got to my new place and they had to be told to put down carpet runners, and as professional movers, your clients shoukdnss have to tell you how to do your job. Once I found out the carpets were a mess, I spoke to the office and I was directed to speak to the movers. I did, I felt as though I was fluffed off. We made arrangements for his to go back to the old place to clean the carpets another day. That day came, I was given a heads up by the office that they were on there way. An hour later I get a call saying he is just leaving home and he'd be another hour. This is not acceptable to me, since he was already late. I reluctantly make arrangements for a few days later for him to come instead. I called the office the next day as in the middle of the night this guy called. Not professional at all. I tell the guy at the office I don't want these guys around. And I want the carpets cleaned. He rambles on about the contract and things in the contract. I had to remind him, I never recieved a contract. He finally agreed to send me a check to cover the cost of getting the carpets cleaned. Have to say, this was a very negative experience, and I wouldn't recommend these folks to anyone.

Upon a referral from my aunt who was using Wiebe's to move her for a second time, I booked them to move me as well. I had moved a total of 18 times in 20 years, prior to this move, and Wiebe's has been the best moving experience of my life! I am so impressed and pleased with the 2 men who did my move and with Simon, the gentleman I dealt with in booking my move. There was good communication prior to my moving date, and the men arrived timely the day of my move. Despite my move being their third move of the day, the men came with smiling faces and unlimited energy. They worked tirelessly & continuously, as well as with forethought, and treated my belonging and my home as if they were their own. The also treated me with dignity and respect. Moving can be stressful but the attitude these men had made my day! I felt like there was nothing else they would rather being doing than helping me out and to not feel like a burden during such a stressful time is a Real Gift. :) Thank you Wiebe's Moving & Storage! Highly Recommended!

This is the second time that we have used this moving company. The first time was a very pleasant experience, the second time was not a good experience! They got the date wrong and would not admit they're wrong doing so we had to pay $40 to change the date. They charged us an extra hour when their workers were just dawdling around. We had more stuff in the first move and yet we paid more this time. They seem to take a very long time. We called the office and realized that customer service is not their first priority. We were going to use them again but will not be in the future. I cannot in all good faith recommend them for a move

Completely unacceptable. We are in a code red pandemic and the movers (who are luckily an essential service) not only didn’t come in with masks on, but ARGUED that they shouldn’t have to wear masks while moving. All I can say is that a lot of germs are being passed through this poor practice. I made this review for my senior parents, as they do not use google reviews. Will not recommend.

I've used Wiebe's Moving twice now. Both times the movers have been friendly and efficient. They really take the hassle out of moving. What really impressed me though is that an issue occurred during the second move. The level of integrity demonstrated by Wiebe's in getting it resolved is unheard of today. I was treated like a person and in turn I'll recommend them to anyone who asks.

"Bad customer service" We moved out of our home and put our contents in their storage facility. The move-out guys were very good. A slip occurred but only damaged the wall which I patched and painted so no big deal ...things happen. I packed our new TV in the original box protected by heavy packing thinking it would be safe. When we got it back and hung it up it was missing the corner picture and lines running through the TV. Costco picked it up and sent it out to repair shop to see what happened and was told it was dropped as they can tell impact damage. Not covered by warranty. I called the company and Simon was extremely rude and actually implying I was lying and that I damaged it myself. He said those TV boxes are thrown around all the time and they couldn't possibly damage it. I didn't expect anyone to admit they dropped it ..I just wanted to let them know what happened. Simon was actually yelling at me on the phone. He was all nice and accommodating when he wanted the business. Just based on his attitude and customer service I would not recommend this company. Also watch the clock as their timing is overstated. The only satisfaction I will get is that I work in property management for large residential rental properties and constantly asked for moving company referrals. I will not refer this company based on extremely rude management. "Wow" just read owners response. If anyone reads any other reviews online you will see the comments of bad customer service. I have no issue with the movers themselves as they were very good but disappointed that the mover wouldn't admit that I did make a comment to him which he denied. As far overstated time, I asked the owner how it took the same time to wrap and pack and move up and down a 3 level house as it did to just unload in the storage facility and his responses was ..."maybe you were at the back of the warehouse and it took longer to unload" . We wouldn't know where our items were stored as we are not allowed access so they can say that to anyone. And he was extremely rude and yelled at me to "STOP RIGHT THERE" ( and several times) when I started to explain what happened. I told him I understood the policy of owner packing own items and since they denied dropping the TV I assumed there was another issue so I sent it for repair which they told me that for sure it was impact damage.

Wasn’t impressed and wouldn’t have them again Also more expensive than the other movers I phoned. Also, didn’t wear masks. Claimed asthmatic but who works as a mover when they have asthma? Cost me over $300 for an hour and a bit move.

The boys at Wiebe’s Moving didn’t only help us pack all the belongings but also load and unload them! Very impressed with how professional they were. Definitely a 10/10

The gentleman I spoke to when booking them was amazing! I would talk to him again any day! Unfortunately that's where the good ends. One of the movers was a good guy. The other was very unprofessional. He made mocking comments about my possessions, all of my wood furniture is damaged (including my great-grandmothers antique sewing machine) and then he rushed the payment process. When he was asked to slow down and explain something he rolled his eyes at me. I cannot recommend this company and that is unfortunate. In response to your reply: There was no preexisting damage to my furniture. That's how I know it happened during the move. There are obvious scratches to the front of my dresser. They were not there on April 22. This is a fact. And no, they did not point anything out to me. I was in the living room the entire time they were loading my bedroom furniture. I repeat, absolutely no conversations happened about any preexisting damage. My vanity table had a scratch that I knew about and again, they did not confirm with me whether or not it was preexisting. As for the antique sewing machine I and everyone in my family can confirm that those chips taken out of the lid were definitely not there before my move.So to your patronizing comment about me being offended, the answer is no. Again, because that conversation never happened. And no, I'm not so weak-willed that a conversation such as that would have offended me. The mocking comments about my furniture were such things as "you must hate movers", and upon seeing that my vanity table has a mirror, and my wardrobe has a mirrored front I heard "wow. she must really like looking at herself". Those are uncalled for in any setting. One mover asked to use my washroom. I told him no because it was full of suitcases and things. His reply was "I have good aim". How is that professional? I am not denying that your staff are experienced. I'm saying that my personal experience with them was subpar at best. And I have worked with a lot of movers. I lived with one for 8 years so I know movers. Unfortunately my experience with your company wasn't the greatest. If you would like more details please contact me privately. Also, please stop posting people's address in your replies. It doesn't make you look good.

Not a good experience with them. Hired two people, they knew ahead of time exactly how much needed to be moved. Every time it seemed that yet again they weren’t around I would go check only to find both of them sitting in the moving truck and playing on their phones. After a couple hours they started to ask us repeatedly to pay double so they could call in more people and get the job done faster. They moved slow and seemed to be taking a break after each item they moved, of course it was taking a long time. We even carried items ourselves and allowed them to leave most all of the boxes just inside the door yet it somehow took more than twice as long as quoted. We only had a street permit for the truck for one day so we had no choice but to pay what they asked, which they knew. They charged us by the hour plus overtime later in the day for all their breaks, their lunch hour, and a *full hour of overtime*, which was $150, for the ten minutes they spent sitting in their vehicle writing up the bill. They said that we had to pay the full hour because we had used part of it. They had quoted around $500 then demanded over $1100 in cash. It made me wonder if they were pocketing extra money and telling their bosses it was fewer hours. They also wear shirts that have big lettering reminding you to tip them. Their tip was being paid an hour of overtime for ten minutes of sitting and the hours of pay for lunch, snacks and extra breaks.

This is a totally unsolicited review. I had a very positive experience from the first inquiry speaking to Simon on the phone, until the last piece of furniture was unloaded and set up. Cory and Garry, who were the movers sent, were prompt, courteous and nothing but efficient and helpful. I had researched all the companies that I called and each had its own horror story. I ultimately chose Wiebe's because a colleague had used them and was happy with them, and I don't regret it for one moment. As I said-Simon who took my inquiry call was knowledgeable and answered all the questions I asked and even some I did not! He was not the least bit pushy, either. Thank you Simon, Cory and Garry for making a stressful event stress-free.
