I previously used this company many times and was happy but always found them slow. I have reduced my stars to three after the last few incidents. Recently I felt very overcharged when billed for two trucks but only one was used until the very end. 6 movers tripped over each other trying to load one truck. The movers damaged many of my items and guaranteed that it would be resolved with zero final resolution. The owner Vadim did come to my house but nothing came from it. They even kept billing at the end of the move when I bought their 6 movers pizza. Seriously? They damaged my couch, sound equipment, expensive bedding, art... the list goes on and the owner blames everything on the customer which was very frustrating I won't ever use them again and but everyone can make their own opinions of this business.

The seller highly recommended your service and you were hired. Ricky and Geordi arrived 15 min earlier - very important touch on such a stressful day. They did a walk around the house and explained that we did have more stuff then we've described other the phone - looking at all the boxes we already knew that. Your guys blanket wrapped most of the furniture plus made an extra stop to pick up my new appliances at no added cost. Everything was delivered and placed where we wanted! Great service! But then you surprised us more - our tenant from the basement was supposed to move out and your guys said that they can take care of that right after they finish with us - i thought it was a joke considering the late hour. WOW!! With a positive attitude and a smile Ricky and Geordi after the bill was done, started moving a tenant from 2brm basement!! Such a great guys, thank you! Simple Living

As one who moves often and has used many different moving companies, I have never had the issues I have had with this company. From an employee being rude and making my gf and I uncomfortable numerous times during the move to an owner who does not stand behind their work and claims the damaged caused by them by not properly wrapping a piece of office furniture is not covered. I will be pursuing to claim damages through all legal avenues so as to hold dishounerable people like this accountable. Very sad indeed. Stay away from these guys.....

My wife and I were being moved into our home by a different moving company, and one of our neighbours were being moved in by My City Movers. The client for My City Movers was delayed in securing the keys for her apartment and was past her reservation time on the elevator. We had a brand new couch being delivered by the store that we purchased it from. It was sitting in the lobby, waiting for the elevator to be free and one of the My City Movers employees, moving a heavy box with a two wheeler, accidentally nicked our couch, puncturing the leather. When we contacted Vadim Zavialov, the owner of My City Movers, he took full responsibility for the damage. Vadim contacted a repair company, and personally visited our home to apologize, assess the damage in person and assure us that My City Movers will pay for the repair. Though our couch wasn't being moved by My City Movers, we are impressed with how Vadim handled the situation. He holds his company to high standards, and makes sure that everyone dealing with him is satisfied.

We planned our moved on April 19th and this is the second time we use Vladimir and his team. He is very fair and very accommodating to our needs. The move to Maple Ridge Townhome was smooth and Justin and Wayne were great and made the move seamless. They took great care in moving items to the rooms. I strongly recommend. They were on time and work very diligently, carefully.

A bit of an odd experience with the movers. Booked a weekday to have our small 2 bedroom unloaded and the movers came 15 minutes past the booked time. 2 guys to help us move with a 3Ton truck which was clean and had a lot of load straps and blankets to secure and ensure a safe move. The guys were on the move loading furniture right away and the seemingly more experienced guy planned it out well. Nice dudes in general, and whilst I don't mind sharing a word or two with them, they kinda like to chat a lot. When I'm paying by the hour though, I wished they'd get on with the day. The most irritating thing about these two folks on the way to the new place, is that they see a fancy car on the road and they straight up stopped and parked just so they can get a photo of the car. I timed their little detour at 7 minutes. Immediately afterwards they parked beside a Tim Hortons and grab some coffee in a very rushed way. The load in was fairly quick though, having to rush furniture onto the second floor and getting a mechanical sofa through and apartment door was kinda tricky. Billing was also an issue, I was sketched out that they don't have a secure mobile payment system like Square or something. Instead they manually entered my credit card info including my security code into the guys cellphone. I don't really feel comfortable doing that at the risk of knowing most moving employees being temporary workers. The guy also charged me an extra $100. Whether he tipped himself or just has fat fingers, I do not know. I got in contact with someone at their office and immediately refunded me the difference at the end of the same day. Overall I got the service I expected but the surrounding issues make it hard to recommend this company.

These guys gave very professional and courteous service from thie initial phone call inquiry and booking until the end when everything was moved. STAY AWAY from 'My City Movers'. They were subcontracted to work with us and weren't what we had expected. The movers themselves were nice young men, but there was poor time management and our truck wasn't big enough for our move, even though we were told it would be. In the end our local move was almost DOUBLE the TIME and COST than expected (almost 12 hours for a 3 bedroom rancher). The manager replied that my husband was 'happy', he wasn't, I told him to pay the young men and that I would speak to the manager. We didn't have a phone or internet connection for almost two days. When I spoke to the manager there was no form of customer support, he disregarded or argued every concern we had. I had never received such poor customer service and definitely wasn't expecting that. He had already received our credit card so he wasn't willing to provide any form of compensation, even though we only requested a very small refund that was more than fair. Businesses should care about their customers and word of mouth.

I used My City Movers and was very happy with the service. I called a couple other companies and always had some issues, but no issues with My City . Provided a quote right away, dropped off boxes and supplies. Nothing was a problem. I was a big move so it was expensive (4 guys , 5 ton truck for 11 hours =$2700. But you get what you pay for. No damages, they were early and nothing was a problem. Would uses them again in a heartbeat.

Hello, would like to share you my moving experience with My City Mover. I moved from south surrey to white rock. It looked simply in the beginning but once we got to my new place I realized that my new place is on a very steep hill with lots of stair leading to my apartment. Worst Movers i have ever used Our family used this company to move a 3 bdrm townhouse from cloverdale to langley . We were met with a very pleasant and helpful woman on the phone who talked at length with us to decide on a quote . After length we were told that our move would be in a range of 6-9 hrs at 165/hr for 3 workers which we thought was quite fair . On moving day however despite our 9 am appointment the moving truck showed up at 10:20 with a truck and 1 driver alone . concerned that there was a problem , we asked what was happening and the driver said "oh the other workers are enroute" and that the gps went down (?) the driver then spent the time waiting for them smoking ciggerettes in cab The main moving crew arrived in a car with 4 workers inside and we were told that the company decided we needed 5 men now and that the rate would be not 165/hr but now 245/hr wow . Reluctantly we agreed due to the driver insisting it would be cheaper and much faster for us . What ensued i cannot believe, the driver directed the movers to go to work in house as he was going to wrap things , he brought all the pads etc in house and proceeded to talk and wander around the house for over 45 minutes while he went back and forth showing the workers what to do and trying to make jokes and lengthy explanations of the process to everyone in sight . The workers he had with him clearly had no idea what to do at all and often spent their time in groups of 2-3 men staring at and talking about how to do this and that ( moving a nightstand etc) One guy walked right through some drywall in garage and straight into our family room on main floor with shoes and then walked out with nothing in hand unreal coming back in he seen his footsteps and then decided to remove shoes although the driver said he was wrapping things in house he spent the entire loadup in our living room and kitchen mostly talking and making jokes and then moving back and forth about house to find his workers often making loud and rude comments to them about their effort and not having wrapped this or that but saying put it in truck and he would deal with it later Our Tv was broken in the move as was a box of our crystal glasses marked fragile and sofa ( see pictures) and we were told its ok because it was insured (not ok) and that the young men moving were new and should have wrapped it omg Instead of a 6-9 hr move we had an 11 hr day charged at a higher rate so what we expected to be at highest 1500 was a total of 2900 with taxes there goes our christmas budget thank you the owner we found to be very rude about the inexperienced men stating every move was different and they cannot gaurantee the final bill The extra men were needed he said and we had to pay for them although he did compensate us for the damages fairly enough 500.00 We still were way over our expectation and had a stressful day listening to workers quibble and complain about each other all day Changing the worker numbers and billing was very stressful for all of us and training new workers on our tab is not nice at all We will not ever use this company again

If I could give 0 stars I would. Warning read the bad reviews and read how the owner responds. The owner will come to give you a quote and be all nice and friendly at first. He will reassure you if they cause any damage it will be taken care of right away. This is all a lie. During my move they broke and damaged many things. When I questioned the owner about all the damage he said he’d come right away. I thought this was great but it wasn’t. He screamed and swore at me and told me my stuff was “sh*t”. The owner then threatened me and I had to call the police. The owner refused to let the men keep working while we waited for the police, threatened to leave with the rest of my stuff on the truck and then tried to bill me for that time. They broke my kids bunkbed I had just recently purchased and said it was my fault because they had to take it apart. I found them attempting to glue it together. It had to be thrown away. They also put holes in my wall, broke my coffee table, tore a hole in the mattress and stole a bunch of stuff. My dyson vacuum, a box of electronics, my iPhone charging station, a framed painting, a laptop and several of my tools all went missing. I have emailed three times and phoned several times to make a claim and they refuse to respond. Also it took them way longer than they quoted to complete the move even though I had sold many of the items that I had when they quoted. The owner lies and said he didn’t quote time to take things apart. I had asked him day of the quote if taking apart the beds, etc. was included and he said yes. AVOID THIS COMPANY

Very slow movers. If I wasn't watching them, I think they would stop work completely. It literally took over 6 hours to move 6 pieces of furniture. None of this furniture was out of the ordinary in size or weight. The hourly rate is cheaper than most places, but these guys moved EXTRA slow. It cost double what I had paid one year before when I had far more furniture, no help from my friends and the movers had to haul all my things up two flights of stairs. This move was down the stairs, and then up the elevator, I had half of the amount of stuff to move, much of which I had moved the day before with help from my friends. Lastly, one of my pieces of furniture was broken in the move. :( While they did point it out and tell me right away, I'm still not happy about it.

One of the tenants in our condo used this company. My neighbour actually. Unbelievable. They had so much out in the hallway, had difficulty getting out of my unit. Lobby was full of stuff, everywhere, had to move items to get to elevator. Our newly painted walls damaged and gouged. They were there for hours. Worst move our building has ever experienced. This company has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I understand that some things go wrong during a big move, but it is how things are handled that show the integrity of a company. Vadim was so petty and rude that we told him to leave our house, and he said, “I don’t need customers like you.” It’s customers like us that move and the reason why My City Movers is in business. If he doesn’t need customers like us, then I am sure he won’t need customers like you either. During our move, the worker who seemed in charge kept stopping to take phone calls or smoke breaks. This stopped all work because organizing the truck would get backed up. We also noticed that the truck took a lot longer than us to get to the new house on both trips. Dealing with the company to repair damage was TERRIBLE!! There was a loonie sized gouge in the drywall from the movers in the old house, and then the movers hit the thermostat with a couch in the new house and it fell on the ground and didn’t work. The movers, as well as us, interpreted this as a broken thermostat. It took 3 weeks to arrange a date to view/fix damages; there was no sense of urgency to address problems. Vadim finally came to the old house to fix the drywall and the repair job is terrible (the gouge is still visible). He said it wasn’t his responsibility to fix because it is a “scratch, and those things happen”. He said he was only fixing it because he is a “good neighbor”. When he came to the new house to look at the thermostat, he took it away and when he came back, the thermostat was working. Vadim said that the thermostat just needed new batteries and that I “misrepresented myself” by saying that the thermostat was broken. He said, “English is not my first language, but I did learn what broken means and that is not broken.” When we told Vadim about the phone and smoke breaks and the extra time it took to travel to the new house, Vadim left to check his GPS and when he came back, he agreed that there was 1 long stop, which he did not address, but for the second trip he said his GPS only showed a 6 minute trip. This is impossible, because you can’t drive from our old house to the new house in 6 minutes, let alone a big truck. We estimated that it took 10-15 minutes longer than it should have for each trip, and Vadim did not believe us. He said, “How can I believe you when you misrepresented the damage to the thermostat”. When I said it worked during the inspection and then it didn’t work after the movers hit it with a couch, Vadim said, “how do I know it worked during the inspection?” Vadim also said, “GPS doesn’t lie”. Well, I’m not sure about the 6 minute trip in the GPS and where any other trip went, because Vadim left to look at the GPS by himself. I would never use this company again and I will tell everyone I can to choose another moving company.

Great company. Thanks very much for Vadim, Travis, Greg, Dan, Tom and Marshall. Actually, I needed to move from interior BC to the lower mainland and I was lucky to have them to do the job. They are professional, competent, efficient and super nice. It was so impressed to see them moving my upright piano and the heavy roll-top desk into my new place which has lots of stairs. They coordinated very well as a team and worked together in an organized way. Such a trustworthy moving company that I would definitely recommend to all my friends.

I hired the for a large house move that required 3 trucks. I started with 8 movers on the first day and finished with 4 movers unloading on the second day. They did an awesome job. I hired My City Movers for a move from a storage locker out in Langley to my new apartment in Vancouver, and these guys were awesome! It was a hot day and they had to climb the stairs to the third floor all day - no elevator and they didn't complain once! It's an old building with a really narrow stairwell, so a few of my furniture items wouldn't fit. The guys tried their best to make it work but we ended up having to go back out to the storage locker to drop the items off - again no complaints! I would definitely hire My City Movers again.

My one star doesnt have to do with a move. It has to do with the secretary Alena. Not only is she rude to deal with she refused to proved me with a quote on a letterhead via pdf file even after explaining to her I need it to give my company because they are the ones paying for the move. I know its not hard to make a letterhead letter. Every company has letterheads. So unfortunately I had to go with another company Homeland moving and logistics. Their secretary was super nice and had no problem drawing up the documents I needed to provide to work. Too bad for this company that just lost out on almost 3100$. I know they must have moves every day but I still think losing 3100$ is a big impact. My city movers should may consider getting a new secretary who isnt rude to their clients and also knows how to do her job. It takes 2 seconds to make a letterhead. I also find it comical Im not the only one to complain about this and the company wrote back under the comment that the poster was posting fake reviews. But its not. The lady is rude and refused my request. I have the email to prove it

I contacted this moving company and after getting a quote, I requested an official e-mail from them with this quote - understanding that it was a ballpark pricing quote for their services. They informed me that they didn’t provide this. I then called them back a few days later and the quote the provided verbally somehow changed and they accused me of changing what I originally said. The man on the line didn’t seem upfront when discussing all the extra fees (1 mover vs 2, etc) Bottom line people, use them at your own risk, most movers will email you a quote, so that the final bill won’t be ridiculously expensive or nowhere near what was discussed on phone.

I don’t usually write reviews but the crew that Vlad from My City Movers sent over to do my move was amazing!! At the beginning they gave me a rough idea how long it would take and they came within a 1/2 hour of what they said. They took 2 x15 minute breaks (in a 8 hour day) that they did not charge for and the rest of the time they were moving very fast, even running up and down the stairs. Nothing was broken and I did not see any marks on the walls. I would 100% recommend this company and hopefully you will have the same experience as I did. Thanks Vlad for the 3 movers you sent and making my move go a lot better then I expected.

All three movers were just amazing! They wrapped all of our furniture with moving blankets , nothing was damaged during the move. We also loved the idea of renting plastic bins for our moving , they drop them off at our house and than came to pick them up when all unpacking was done. Great experience! I do NOT recommend this company! They were $1500 more and took 3 hours longer than the company I used last year for the same contents. Majority of the boxes were not put in the right rooms even though they were labeled. 1/2 the patio furniture was put in the backyard and the rest was shoved in a corner in the garage. Not all the beds were reassembled. The worst part was that I left some workers behind with the 2nd truck to meet the 1st truck at the new house and when I went back later that night the front doors were WIDE open!! It's been over a week and I still can't find everything. It's a daily reminder how awful this company is.

Syeed and his team worked extremely hard, even bringing in a 2nd truck to complete our move in 1 trip. The guys were friendly and kept us up to date as we went along. We had a great experience with our move this weekend - just a few days before Christmas. They were efficient and dillegent , and super friendly. We used them for our in move in May as well as hired by our Realtors VJ and Katrina and the team. They helped move from two different places and never complained about any changes of drop offs. We offered them food and they didn't take a break to eat until the job was done. We had a 7 ton truck with 4 movers, led by Greg. They did an amazing job and we will continue to recommend them.
