Don't waste your time with any other moving company. I just hired someone from Moving Butlers to move a mattress I bought from a Craigslist ad. Kevin helped me pick it up from the seller's house and was receptive and fully responsive throughout the entire process, even helping me carry it all the way up to my apartment happily. This was the most professional and customer-centric moving service I've ever experienced. Absolutely worth it. Thank you so much again.

My move from Victoria to Vancouver went great thanks to these guys. They went above and beyond. I did not book for movers for the unload cuz thought my friends were gonna be there but.... Talked to Kevin and told him about my situation and how I was stuck without a mover. Believe it or not he showed up himself at 8.30 PM on a Saturday night and unloaded the whole truck in only 1 hour. Wow! I could not thank him enough. I suggest these guys to whoever wanna move even from the island! They driver even bought me coffee!!!!

Excellent service with professionals! Arrived on time and loaded everything from our old place in a timely manner, and unloaded everything into our new place as quickly as possible. Mindful of fragile items, and were careful not to scratch, ding, or mark other items. Movers were very patient and accommodating! To everyone who gave them five stars , you need to hear my story out... So I was contacted (texted) by a individual named "Kevin" (Operations Manager) after sending a quote online to a general website for moving companies. He seemed welcoming and very accommodating in his texts and told me full details about what the process and payments is. He mentioned and I quote, "2 movers is $95 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours (which is probably gonna take). On top of everything [they] only have a a one-time charge of $65 for the gas. Any additional padding of the furniture or assemblies is already included in the price". I agreed on that and set up a date to have them arrive within a time window of 1-3pm. The day arrived and I ended up waiting until 6:30pm for them to arrive because apparently the "elevator broke down" at their previous client. I was phoned at around 5 by "Kevin" who notified me this two hours after our time window and didn't care to notify me right away when they knew that the elevator problem would spill into my moving time, which luckily I wasn't in a rush or have anything on that day. As they arrived and starting moving my things out, they didn't even wrap any of my fragile and breakable items with any sort of wrap or protective sheets which was highly concerning and I was lucky nothing broke. Also, they kept asking me if there was anything left multiple times while they were just outside smoking next to their truck and didn't bother to check and waited for me to tell them there were still some items left. So ended up putting the last couple boxes to their truck to not be charged additional time that they were using up. As we arrived to the drop off address , I stayed upstairs to receive the items while they brought them up the elevator . I sent my little brother to help open the elevator and hold the doors, but I found out they made him help bring 60 percent of the things up with carts and they only carried bigger things to the place. I pay these guys to do their job, and they just drop bags onto the ground from the truck with one cigarette in their hand and my brother ends up picking them up and bringing it himself. Im appalled. But this where it gets even better... As we finished up , they finally dropped the bomb on me about how much I owe them . 450 dollars. The guys told me that it included a "3 HOUR MINIMUM hourly rate of $95, 65 for gas, another 65 for travel time, and 35 for insurance. This doesn't even include tax. Heres my problem with this: - NOWHERE was it mentioned that the minimum is 3 hours, I have written evidence that I was told 2 hours - Why didn't "Kevin" mention about the travel time rate. It might be something that is present with a lot of movers , but why didn't they saying anything about the travel time but wanted to only mention the gas rate? - AND SINCE WHEN DO I PAY FOR INSURANCE FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY WOULD OWE ME INSTEAD IF ANYTHING BREAKS I explained them my confusion and went upstairs to talk about it to my mother. They followed up as they were already bringing the last item to my suite. My mother was just as surprised as I was about this as we both reminded them that the extra charges are coming out of no where and asked to speak to "Kevin". They first spoke with him on the phone and seemed like I was right and seemed that that they made a "mistake". They still mentioned the same the charges but changed the minimum back to two hours, like do they even they what their payment details are themselves, absolutely ridiculous. I then spoke with "Kevin" after they gave me the phone and "Kevin" was stuttering while trying to readjust what he said about the pricing and finally cleared it up and went from 450 all the way back 260. Man oh man what a mess guys , like honestly. And he hung up right away before I can ask him further questions. His phone kept going to voicemail even when the movers called him themselves. The other mover seemed to be texting very frequently this whole time, looking unbothered. We finally came into a conclusion to pay the agreed 260. Worst experience .

Quoted the best price of all movers, and made me feel it would all be done quickly and the best possible way. Kevin was very accommodating of my schedule, and 5he reviews were great. But when he showed up a week early the cracks started to show, I had to refer him to his original quote for the date, which I had to do another time on the real moving day when the rate didn't match the quote, even thought the total did match the rate quoted. They arrived on time, and got started right away but after an hour with underwhelming progress, I started to see the issue and so did my 11yo daughter. Admittedly we were not well organized for them, but the were moving at what I would call a casual pace. Having a tight time line for the new place from the bldg manager my family and I (including 11yo) started carrying to hurry it up. Several times I had to poi t out that they had missed items from rooms. When they were closing up the truck to leave i did a final scan of the house only to find critical components of out furniture still in the house. Including g a queen-sized headboard. How do you miss that. By the time we arrived at the destination, we had only 1.5 hours of elevator access. when there was 45mins left and realizing they would not get any more time with elevator, I saw thay they were missing what I have seen with every other mover I have used... expediency! They barely made it to the deadline before we lost elevator. But that's when it became almost a lethargic pace as the moved it the final 100 feet down the hallway. Several times we asked them to pick it up throughout the day. But only a real deadline forced that. At the end (almost) they gave me the total, and being completely disgusted with the heel dragging, all day I told them I wanted to talk to Kevin, which is when I learned it was Kevin doing the move. he tried to justify the time but knowing I could not prove it, what can I do. That is when I noticed the missing mattress and headboard for my room, I asked and Kevin said it was still on the truck. Why give me a total when the job is not do, he said it was company policy not to leave the job til they were paid. I was complaining about the price, I didn't say I wouldn't pay, but clearly he was not finishing the job and delivering two big items til he was paid. He assumed I would not pay, and seemingly thinking me a crook, but he had his leverage. Folks, I for one dont pay for a service without a detailed invoice, which he had trouble providing because his phone was dead. I loaned him my charger so he could send an invoice. I also am not o e to pay for a service til the job is done. during this they delivered the headboard but no mattress. out front they we hovering in front of it on the truck I asked if them to deliver it while I reviewed the invoice, who in their right mind pays what someone tells them, without seeing a bill. Finally I conceded that he was not going to give it nor stop guarding, and even what looked lashing it down until he got what he wanted. Karma saved the day and my bank app would not allow me to transfer to him, simply saying try again later. I showed him what it was doing and he conceded that technology would not have it. I gave an additional star because although slow, they didn't damage more that a few pieces of my furniture. Only damage theybleft was a Nightstand with only 2 legs, a swivel office chair legless, and some damage to a footboard, it could have been worse.

Very professional and great value !!! I have dealt with a few movers so far and I had issues with all of them but not with the Moving Butlers. The movers were supper friendly and respectful, showed up on time and did a great job moving everything including a very heavy piano down the stairs without damaging my stuff or the house. Eli was an excellent mover, he was able to put our heaviest furniture between the houses and his truck with no trouble. He has a huge truck with lots of cables to keep our possessions secure and he reached our destination before we did! I have moved a lot but these guys took my moving expectations to a whole another level. First thing in the morning they brought us all coffee and made our day. They charged us much lower than our previous moving companies. 3 movers worked super hard for 7 hours straight with only 2 small breaks. They moved our 3 bedroom apartment full of stuff from a high-rise to another one in downtown Vancouver as smoothly as possible. They were fully equipped and highly experienced and did all of our assembelies too. I recommend these guys 100%.

These guys were awesome. Originally talked to Kevin and he was super friendly and clear about their charges and quoted us much lower than other places. The day of the move they even brought us coffee and bagels. The crew worked super hard and moved us in no time. They were fully equipped with braces and stuff. Before I use moving butlers I have talked 3 shipping and delivery companys they all charge me more money because I have 3 tons floor need to deliver to my customer. I had the pleasure to be quoted and moved by Kevin. After he visited to estimate the move, he recommended for me to buy 50-60 medium size boxes and got them delivered through his supplier at cost. That recommendation was +5 boxes what I needed! I am saying he is accurate in his estimate and therefore the fix price he quoted was exactly right. Not cheap, not expensive, right in the middle and bang on. During packing, care was taken not to adhere tape to surfaces that may suffer, counts for items were counterchecked, and only exactly what needed to be packed was packed. They broke nothing. They were calm, steady and clearly cared about the work they do. The first moving company in my private/commercial experience that I was throughly happy with.

Very friendly, hard working and professional crew, the owner Kevin and three helpers put in a long day with us including packing up our kitchen. We had a more complex move from a larger home into an urban townhouse with three different entrances, tricky street parking and a low access parkade involving a transfer of furniture from a 5ton truck to a small van to shuttle big items underground and they were up for the challenge. We hired them based on their great reviews but their prices were fantastic too - their 4-man crew rate was less than what many companies were charging for a two man crew so we had twice the help and turned a two day move into one day! They were mindful with wrapping and handling all of our furniture and art thoughtfully and carefully, happy to lend a hand with bed frame disassembly/assembly when asked and even surprised us with take out food for dinner as we were too busy to have given it any thought (our move lasted until 8pm). We were both delighted with the service and would happily use Moving Butlers again!

Best moving company I've ever hired. These guys showed up on time and got to all 3 of my locations without any issues. I don't usually write reviews but they pulled off the impossible and made it look easy. Highly recommend and they will pad everything that you want with care. This was by far one of the best moving experiences that I have had in Canada and I have done quite a few. 6 guys and 2 trucks worked for 2 days straight with no problem. Not even a single piece of furniture was damaged. We had 2 very old and very heavy pianos as well but our crew were equipped with all the necessary tools and dollies and moved them with no problem. I am so glad that I utilized the services of Moving Butlers for my international move. Everything went so smooth and without a single damage to my high end furniture. That is very impressive considering the fact that we moved thousands of miles! Teams at both ends were super professional and helpful.
