These guys are so great! Unreal in the best possible way! I've moved a lot (over 30+ moves) throughout my life and this one was just the most efficient and stress free move EVER! They moved a four bedroom house from South Surrey to Burnaby in 5 hours (yes - include all travelling time!) These guys take excellent care of our stuff. Everything was wrapped. Nothing was dented or broken. One of our item was wrapped in their moving pad and we didn't quite have the space to set it up so they just let us keep the moving pad. I've never seen any moving company does that without charge! Thank you! They even helped to make sure everything was organized where we wanted so it's much easier to feel settled after our move. They discovered a set of screws for our table were left on their truck by accident a few weeks after our move. They called and made sure to come by after one of their jobs to drop it off. We didn't even notice because it's an old table that we weren't going to use for a long while but thankful to have all the parts to put it together. Thank you for all the care and hard work and just overall going above and beyond! Our family truly appreciate all that you guys have done for us! I will never call another company for our moving needs.

I want to thank Chris and his team (3 in total) who were the best movers I have ever had. They were friendly, courteous and very organized. They took extra care in moving all the furniture and boxes, only 1 task chair was damaged. What an easy way to move. Such incredible service. Not only were they accommodating with my schedule but they were super speedy getting everything from my old apartment to the truck. It was smooth sailing until the elevator broke in my new place so the guys had to haul all my stuff up 4 flights of stairs. Not only did they crush that killer workout but they also kept a super quick time. I will be recommending to everyone I know. JD, the manager assessed my townhouse and 3 people helped me move on May 27th 2021. During the move one side of my bed broke I bought from JYSK. I called JD to follow up if he can do something. JD is so kind and he made extra efforts to fix my bed. JD assembled a brand new bed for me and he took away the old bed for charity. It was totally unexpected. I have never seen such a wonderful service. I would highly recommend them for moving services. Very professional , I don't have enough words to say thankyou. :)

We moved out of the city, and hired John Volken Academy Movers , Surrey location. The guys were fast, hard working and didn't make a peep about all my heavy potted indoor and outdoor plants! The price was incredible!!!!! We were quoted by some other movers for double the quote than what we paid to Academy! It was a pleasure using their service. They were there on time, they said it would take 3.5 to 4hrs for two movers to do a 2 bedroom move, but they brought in an extra person to speed things up at no additional cost to us and wrapped everything up in 4hrs. The price is right too! On a more personal note, I’d like to put my hands up in praise for the work these fellows are doing to make gains in turning their lives around. Seeing these young people do this touches my heart to the core. I lost my husband last fall as he struggled with addiction and he was only 47 years old. Stay strong Fella’s and keep on a good path! I have faith that you can do it! My husband’s regret when it was too late to change his stars is that he wished that he had made that choice when it was possible, so that he could enjoy the remainder of his golden years with myself, our 6 kids and our many grandchildren. A very good moving company. Affordable, punctual, and they mean business! On the day of my move, 3 movers arrived right on time and worked really hard to load up the truck. They also helped with whatever furniture that still needed to be taken apart. They worked efficiently and did not waste time. The movers completed my move in only 2 hours and I was charged accordingly, even though the quote I had originally gotten was estimated for 3-5 hours. Very courteous and professional! The also moved my upright piano with grace. I would've given a 5-star review except there were a few small nicks and dents in some of my wooded furniture. I only wish the movers were a little more gentle with some items (even though I had clearly marked fragile on my boxes).

Chris, Mike and Aaron are absolute legends. I got burned a few times with other moving companies, but not these guys. Pure professionalism. What they estimate it's pretty much what you pay, no bull. The boys woked their socks off and moved a three bedroom , 3 level townhome to another 3 level townhome in about 5.5 hours. I will ???? use them again. Great job!!!

This service was so outstanding that I felt inspired to leave a review, and I dont do that very often so that in itself speaks volumes. The movers arrived on time, were friendly and very nice to be around for the duration of the move. They were very respectful and good people, and i saw them take a lot of care to protect our furniture and the walls/floors of our home. They worked really efficiently and communicated so I always knew what was going on. Booking the service was also great, Macy who took our call was very down to earth and the company was very upfront about all costs and so there were no hidden costs which seems common in that business. 5 stars easy, and would recommend to others.

The movers were very quick to load, but the truck they brought for the move was not big enough. They realized this early into the move, but did not bother to correct the problem, instead they just jammed everything into the truck. They ran out of blankets so a lot of things didn't get wrapped, consequently quit a few things were damaged, a lamp was broken and a large wall picture was broken. To take up less space, I took apart my coffee table and end tables and wrapped each set of pieces together. Somehow the the end pieces for my tables were left on the truck. When I realized the pieces were missing, I called thinking they would have them waiting to be claimed, but as it turns out, they were just thrown out, making my tables completely useless. When I spoke to the manager, he said that he would find a solution and get back to me, but I never heard from him again. This was the worst, most disappointing experience I have ever had with a moving company.

My experience with this company in the Vancouver area was amazing. I've moved quite a few times, but never had a good experience in the process. Te movers arrived on time, were VERY helpful and polite, and found solutions to the issues I had. I've always heard from companies saying: "We appreciate your business", but this company doesn't say it , it does it. They were on top of the quality service and also that there weren't any extra charges. I definitely would hire them again.

I knew that Academy Movers is a "not-for-profit" company and hence the rates will be good. But one thing that I didn't knew is that there professionalism and helping attitude would make my moving tremendously less stressful and easy. I used there service during 2020 Xmas and the people who came to help were no less than Santa's angel. They were so friendly and worked so fast which saved me a lot of time/money. Their 'main man' JD and his team, Mike, Chris, and others, rearranged, disposed of and totally reorganized our large store area. Absolutely amazing movers. Showed up early ready to work. 3 guys who took the care to safely and professionally move alot of stuff. Nothing damaged in either house and let me tell you they moved some heavy awkward stuff up and down townhouse stairs. Would highly recommend them and will not hesitate to use them again.

Three movers Ian Aron Daniel from academy movers did fantastic job. They arrived on time , They moved my stuff from townhouse to house so well, no damage , packed and unpacked properly, handle stuff with care like glass mirrors, small and big items. they did amazing job and even their price is way better than others and no hidden charges at all, they told upfront all the rates. We moved from North Delta to Chilliwack. Probably about the 8th time we had moved. Now we bought a house so hopefully no moving for quite sometime. When we were planning our recent move I called up several moving companies to discuss availability and rates. Academy Movers stood out immediately in their politeness and professionalism. J.D. Hayes, one of the supervisors, determined the size of moving truck needed and number of men needed. He quickly provided a written quote to us. On moving day (our move time was 2 pm) we were told mid-day that the truck would be a little late arriving and, because of this, Academy Movers added two extra men to the crew. I was very pleased with that! The crew worked hard and were very energetic running up and down stairs. We have some old paintings and a couple of pieces of antique furniture that the crew carefully wrapped up. Throughout the moving out of one house into another house that day I felt respected and listened to. The guys were friendly and happy which put some fun and ease in the day. Was impressed when the bill for my move came in less than the quote because the move ended up taking less time with the extra men that were added. I hired these guys twice now to move me. I found them extremely helpful,fast and efficient. They have been the best company I have ever hired when I had to move. They were careful with my belongings. They even helped me put my bed together as the base was to heavy for me to lift. They went beyond my expectations. I highly recommend them. I asked for 3 guys and was well worth the extra money as then they could take turns with the heavy stuff. With 3 guys it goes much faster and there more organized. I've had bad experiences in the past with movers, but these guys were amazing. They didn't overcharge far more than quoted or damage any of my furniture like other movers have in the past, and they didn't take their sweet little time either; these guys were impressively fast! Most other companies quoted me at least about 5 hours, going up as high as 7 hours for a small two bedroom suite. These guys quoted me 2-4 hours and were done in 2.5 hours! I'm definitely keeping their contact information, as I will for sure use them again in the future. They really were the best!
