Fast courteous service
I love Purolator, their staff are super friendly, however lately they have been so so so so extremely slow that there is always a lineup out into the parking lot, it has taken, on multiple occasions more then 30 minutes to get inside. They need to hire more staff or someone who is better versed in using a computer. Unfortunately Purolator does not deliver to my house or I wouldn't have this issue!
My package has come from Washington. Never stayed at any location longer than a couple hours till it reached sudbury location. Now it's been sitting there for 2 days. I've been waiting for my package for 3 weeks. And sudbury location just let's it sit there? Wow...
Been living at my laneway for three years and always have online stuff delivered with no problems all year round. No snow or bad weather today and having fresh food delivered to my door. Driver says he cant make it up the laneway and food is brought back to Purolator and I get a call to come pick it up, which isnt possible considering I work shift work. Speak with Patty on the phone and explain that I don't even have issues with my Civic with all season tires getting up the driveway. She tells me "that's very nice" but its the end of her shift and just needs a decision. Then when I try to further explain my situation, she says she will send it out tomorrow and hangs up on me! I have never talked to anyone more unprofessional in my life.
Update: Still poor service as usual from Purolator. Every other courier delivers to me but Purolator. It is SportChek who use Purolator so they too get a failing grade. The Purolator depot is less than 20 km. from my home and they deliver to within 3 km of my home but no longer deliver to my location. I have to go to the depot to pick up any parcels sent via Purolator. Poor service.

Purolator is a poor excuse for a delivery company. I was waiting on my parcel which was being delivered to my home this morning. Despite this, no attempt to knock on my door or ring the bell was made by whomever was suppose to deliver my package. Now, because I do not own a vehicle, I must now take time out of my day off so I can plan an arduous bus ride to Gatchell and then trek to their offices up that steep hill on the other side of town. Thanks Purolator. You're the best.
Shipped a package from Sudbury to Elliot Lake in Ontario, just an overnight run. Got a Call from my Cx and he never received it. Turns out the driver dropped it off close to closing time at the local drop off point which was only a 2 min drive from the actual Cx. I used to think highly of this courier, now not so...
Can be very very slow. Will not deliver to people in greater Sudbury. Not that they care, just a heads up to others. You may have to wait an hour or so to pick up parcels.
So far 4 orders from amazon didn't get delivered from these guys everytime i get the email that it says delivered no pictures was taken and no packages are delivered they must hire crooks.
Horrible service. I've been waiting for a new phone for 2 months, and it was sent out on December 1st. It was to be delivered Friday the 4th, but sat at the warehouse for another week for no reason. To top everything off, I chose the option to leave my package at the door without a signature as they never knock loudly enough. Instead of leaving it like they were supposed to, I now have to go to the facility to pick it up where it sat for a week and where they would not let me pick it up.
How can products be sent to the wrong city on a daily basis ? How can products arrive crushed and soaking wet ? How can you charge people for this kind of service ? I have come home and found items dropped off at my house , and the card said it was signed for ! ISNT THIS ILLEGAL ???

Paid express to get a package on Friday. They apparently just never got around to it, forced me to schedule a delivery appointment and then said the earliest they could do it was Tuesday. Terrible service across the board
Absolutely terrible service. My current order has been "out for delivery" and cancelled three times now. The driver in my area also refuses to actually make a delivery. All packages are taken directly to a pick up location without any attempt at delivery.
Friendly staff and reliable, but I wish they would actually deliver the packages to my address instead of making me pick them up at their warehouse. I avoid vendors that use Purolator.

I tracked my package and their system showed that at 7:02 AM the package is on vehicle for delivery. At 13:10, it said "Receiver location is not located in a Purolator service point". Why didn't they inform the shipper in AB that they don't deliver to this location? My friend could have used another courier to send the package to me. Purolator said because their system wouldn't show to their facility out West which location points they can deliver here in the East. What kind of system is that? They just take your money promising they would deliver it to your door on a certain date and then tell you they can't and have you pick it up instead! Worse, you can't even pick it up on the same day because they close at 8 PM and they said their delivery truck doesn't get back to the depot at 8:30 PM. So I paid to have my package get here early but then I still get to have it one day late and I have to pick it up!
1/10/2022: It was delayed again! I paid for the fastest delivery, I've been quarantining for weeks so I could have a movie night with two other members of my family, one that may not have that much time left, and they just keep delaying it. This has been a sad and frustrating experience, overall. I was really counting on you guys to get this one right for me. When I get a text at 10 AM telling my my package is on the way and I rush home from work so I won't miss the delivery, I expect it to be delivered. Not to go on the website to see someone decided to say my package missed its connection despite being /in/ my town already, and arriving earlier than 8 AM. All without any kind of notification. I feel bad because this kind of thing is going to push people away from local suppliers towards global giants like Amazon. :/ I've had some positive experiences and the staff has always been friendly, so I am going to give three stars instead of one, but my god am I ever disappointed.
Wrong address? Its fine. You have nothing to do. Just call them so they can put you on hold for over an hour.. they want you to use their automated service anyway. Even though it is broken and doesn't work.

Difficult to find if you've never been there before. Gps said "You have arrived" but it's actually a right turn up the next street and up a windy hill. Service was good though and package arrived next day no problem.
I have not received any of my packages of yet, they always saying delayed missed delivery they will deliver a next business next business day it's the same thing worst experience ever!

Hi - I received a call 5 days after the date I was supposed to received the parcel -- The call was to notify me that Purolator do not deliver to my house address (Not sure why -All other delivery company does). I re-routed my parcel to my wife's work for pick up with CLEAR and PRECISE instructions to drop it off between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm OR leave it in the secure box outside Well Purolator left a note at my wife's work that they tried to drop it off at the premise at 4:30 pm and now to go pick it up at the depot. The depot is 45 minutes away . Could someone reach out to me to discuss
purolator delivers somewhat on time BUT every time I receive my packages the boxes are broken, torn, and ripped!! I'm surprised nothing inside is ever damaged. They have no respect for your belongings when it comes to packing everything on to their trucks.

I ordered live fish from Toronto and these were shipped on Monday. I paid $60 to them for 1-2 day delivery and was advised that the fish should be fine for 60 hours in the shipping bags. This order was being shipped with Purolator. Tracking, I see that my package reached Purolator's sorting facility on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. This sorting facility is just 1 hour's drive from my house. I've ordered from the Toronto fish company many times and UPS trucks always arrive at 3:10pm on Tuesday-they're very reliable. After 3:00 on Tuesday, I called Purolator and they advised that my package was scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Then the guy proceeds to tell me that live fish are prohibited from being shipped via Purolator. Told him that was between them and the shipper and asked the reason. Was told it was because live fish go 'bad'. Told him that they only go bad when they're not delivered on time. He assured me again that my package would be delivered on Wednesday. And he himself advised that the Toronto fish company paid for 2 day delivery. So I took off work again Wednesday to wait. 2:00 pm Wednesday, I called Purolator again and they advised that my package was scheduled to be delivered Thursday between 8:00am and 6:00pm. That's three days, not 1-2, and is at the 60 hour limit for fish to be okay. The person I spoke with could not explain to me what Purolator was doing with my package from Tuesday 1:00pm until today, Wednesday 2:00pm, or why it would take two days to get it out of there and to me, just one hour from them. So, after all that, I asked if I could come pick it up, being just an hour away, and was told they'd tag it for pick up. She said I'd get an email when it was scanned and ready and then I could come get it. I told her that the Purolator sorting facility is closed now so I can't come get it (they close at 2:00 pm!). She said all she could do is have them email me when it's ready for pick up, so I advised that I'd leave first thing in the morning when I got the email, to come pick it up....leaving work early again for the third day because of this 'Purolator Circus'. Needless to say, I'm anxious to get my fish tomorrow morning but I expect more than half of them to be dead. The company I ordered from is good enough to guarantee me 100% of any dead fish because of Purolator's delay, but in order to get these replacement fish, I have to place another order, pay another $60 shipping for 1-2 delivery and put my fish again at the whim of Purolator. I don't ever want to deal with Purolator again. They don't give a crap about customers or any live animals they may be shipping and give less crap about decent delivery service.
This is my first time using this delivery service and I am very disappointed. First they delivered my package damaged. And then they show up at my apartment complex to deliver my package only to take it back to a pickup location. They didn’t let me know they arrived, no calls even after I left my number while ordering, no notice whatsoever, and I am told to get my package at a pickup location. What’s the point of delivery if I have to end up picking it up myself?? I can see that this is a recurring problem from the many negative reviews and they make no effort to change their methods. It’s so simple to call, alert me so I know to come get my package or better yet come to my exact address. But I guess that’s too difficult for a delivery company. I hope you go out of business.

While the service has been slow throughout the pandemic with some parcels held for extended periods, a new low has been reached. I live west of Sudbury and yet two parcels which arrived in Sudbury in good time have gone astray, one to Dartmouth and the other to North Bay. The North Bay parcel in particular has sat there for a week now with no retrieval yet. Time the sorters got a map.

Delayed my package for over 8 days because of the "pandemic," which they are full of it. I had my package sent all the way from California in less than 7 days. As soon as it came to Yarmouth, it's delayed because of the pandemic! I live 5 minutes from the sorting facility, and I had to wait over 8 days! I as well as thousands possibly millions have been ordering since 2020, and now, right now it's because of the pandemic. Everywhere's else is doing fine, just not in Yarmouth. I had to complain 3 times to Customer Service before someone did something. Also my package was slightly squashed. But I will say kudos to the delivery man/woman for carrying my package weighing over 35 lbs to the third floor.

Absolutely atrocious. Every time purolator delivers my packages they take forever to show up, and they barely ever leave a slip at the door if you miss delivery. Good luck receiving the delivery, the drivers will either knock once and run back to the truck (saw the guy writing the delivery notice as he was walking to my door, without my parcel in hand) or they'll simply pull up to the address, mark the package as "delivered" and straight back to the facility it goes. I've literally seen them do this, after sitting by the window on a day off to receive an important package. I've caught them a couple times not making an effort to deliver properly. All they ever do is ask you to contact their "customer service" so you can jump through those hoops only to get virtually nowhere. If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid them like the plague.

Not that I am adding anything new to the reviews, but Purolator is probably the worst delivery service ever. 4th time a company used Purolator to deliver a package, like the last three times I didn’t receive my package. They don’t call on arrival, just leave a notice that they couldn’t reach me, how am I supposed to know when the delivery person will be at my door, I am expected to wait by the door 10am - 8pm. So I have had to pay $50 for a taxi to pick up my package from Kelly lake rd. so that’s $150 I’ve paid to pick up packages that they couldn’t deliver. This time I finally decided to wait at the door from 10am until at 5 pm I receive an email, “delayed due to missed delivery, will deliver on next business day”. 7 HOURS I SAT AND WAITED FOR A PACKAGE! NOW I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN? Cuz the driver forgot to deliver my package? I don’t want to pay $50 for a taxi to pick up a bloody package that I shouldn’t have to in the first place, ASK YOUR DRIVERS TO CALL ON ARRIVAL! SEND A TIME FRAME WHEN THEY WILL ARRIVE! HOW IS THIS COMPANY IN BUSINESS WITH SO MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS!
Never once had them deliver something. I've /always/ been home when they try to delivery, and never once did they knock. I was blamed for not hearing stuff almost immediately upon calling as well. Unfortunately places I order from use these people. I'd never in my right mind choose them.
Ordered my graduation gown rental which was delivered via purolator. The box was in shambles and parts of the box were missing upon delivery. Thankfully my graduation gown was intact. Not impressed with the lack of care taken with packages.
Item ordered from Amazon to be delivered to my residence. Received notice that my item was left at a drop center. This center is 1 1/2 hours round trip for me to pick up a $10 item. Obviously driver too lazy to deliver to actual address. On reading previous reviews I see that this is a regular thing for Purolator.
They do not actually buzz up to see if someone is home I would even go down but I never know when they will show

Very bad customer service. I was trying to call customer service for the last two days and nobody is answering the call, i wasted my 2 hour to get in touch of them but no reply nothing.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, the store front is simple and effective. If you didn't know it was up on the hill it may be difficult to find.

My products come squashed and they do not deliver them on time. I can always track my products and can see when they arrive at Purolator and yet they hold my packages for 1-5 days before they even deliver them....
I had to send a car key to Barrie which is 3 hours away and it cost $39.95...which is their cheapest. If I wasn' t in a rush I would have used another service cause this is absolutely ridiculous. Plus since they closed their New Sudbury lication, had to drive at the end of the city to get to their depot. Won' t be using this service ever again. A car key .....less then a pound in weight....unreal!!!

The customer service here is despicable at best. My page has been in my city for over a week and no delivery or request for pickup. I've been calling them for 2 days attempting to rectify the situation and to no avail there has still been no update on my status despite numerous attempts to request pickup. I'm absolutely flustered and feel ignored.
If your looking for slow unreliable shipping this is the place for you, if you like your package to sit in facility's for days this is the place for you. Only reason an extra star was given is the driver's are usually always nice. Edit: The driver that always deliveries my packages is just to nice and they have been consistently quick I don't have to many complaints any longer

How come everytime purolater delivers to my house they leave my package outside and dont even knock. I was home today and my big parcel from Amazon was on my steps. Also it says on Amazon that I signed for my package and I didnt. Yes your fast but if my parcel gets stolen and your record says I signed for it what would I do? I think your carriers need more training or a way to be accountable
Edit: It was unfair for my previous review to say the workers generally didn't care. In all honesty, I can understand why many of them don't invest emotionally considering the cruelty of many of their customers. It is unfortunate how often I have to go out to the centre to pick things up, but honestly that's the system, not the workers, and deliveries hi much better now that my building has a functioning buzzer. (The other didn't!)

Purolator delivery guy, pulls into our driveway, my husband is outside in the driveway I'm in the house watching. The delivery guy is in our driveway for about 3 minutes never gets out of his truck, never brings us our parcel BUT scans the parcel as delivered and leaves. I call Purolator right away. Now I have to wait 24-48 hours for the investigator to call. Looks to me the driver stole my package. I'll be telling everyone what a shady delivery company this is!
Two buses, a short walk, and a climb up a long steep hill to pick up a parcel. Then 6 days later I need to repeat this because the second part of my shipment arrives. This isn't an endearing process. Yet, limited delivery hours ensure this will be a repeated experience. Yet pickup days are limited to Monday to Friday, so any pickup notice received on Friday will have to wait until Monday to an inconvenience.
They literally deliver within 1 km of my house but refuse to deliver to me. Instead, I'm expected to drive 80 km round trip to pick up my packages from them, no exceptions. They should NOT accept packages that they are NOT willing to deliver. That's the whole point of delivery!! Terrible customer service!

BVG005889150 it was scheduled to be delivered yesterday still it missed delivery we were at home all time ). Hence turend out driver missed it as he ran out of time. I have complained about this new driver in past and he does it on purpose. Today also my item is rescheduled for delivery but yet not delivered. If its not delivered today also. No excuses will be accepted and an action will be taken. These new drivers are super lazy and take this union positions for granted. Purloator managemnet also doesnt take any strict action. I mean how can a driver take parcel and go out for delivery and come back with out delivery and gives excuse that he ran out of town. How can purolator management let such excuse fly ?
I'm giving two stars ONLY because the woman I spoke on the phone with was very friendly and helpful. However, it took an email, three calls to two different numbers, and waiting on hold for a total of an hour and a half (at least) to reach somebody. Their online chat doesn't work at all and they don't call to make sure you're home before they deliver a package. I feel sorry the nice employees at Purolator have to work for such a bad company.

Parcel pick-up. Had to take a lon drive to south end because purolator on Lasalle Blvd closed permanently. Wait was long although the office wasn't busy.

Purolator is useless. The driver can never find my house. I always have to go to the depot to pick up my packages and I explain to them every time that the address is indeed correct. The driver is either too complacent to try to find the house or too inept to use a map. I have included turn by turn driving instructions from the depot to my front door and the delivery person still claims that the address is incorrect.

I have now had two shipments of meat completely wasted by Purolator. We order from an online meat service in Ontario that ships the frozen meat in an insulated box with ice packs, that keeps it frozen for 48 hours. Every delivery so far has been completely ruined by Purolator. The shipments are scheduled to arrive on either a Thursday or Friday. Multiple times now, the package doesn't arrive either days, is marked "undeliverable" by Purolator, and then delivered the following Monday. The package then arrives the Monday completely thawed, blood coming out of the box, and the meat ruined because it has been sitting in a heated warehouse for a few days. I work from home and my office window looks over the driveway. The trucks never come on the days marked "undeliverable" but always arrive on the Monday. The package is also marked as a drop off, so there's no need for anyone to be here to receive it. Because of the consistency of the issue every time, I'm lead to believe that this is purposefully delayed by Purolator for logistical reasons like route planning, etc. I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed as this is a massive waste and disrespect of animal life and the work of the farmers that raise it. I cannot recommend Purolator to anyone, based on this experience.

Edit: No Purolator I will not send the tracking number. I already spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get even a basic level of customer service, only to be denied at every step. You are the second worst courier next to CanadaPost for parcels. If DHL can fly something from Japan to Sudbury and deliver it in 2 business days, there is zero excuse for you making a customer wait over a week for something shipping in the same province. Purolator is a joke. Item is already 4 days overdue. They hand off deliveries to "authorized agent" who will then load the item and claim "nobody available" 10 minutes later. Refuse to give contact information for the 'agent', refuse to redeliver until a week past due date, refuse to give any explanation or file complaint. F U Purolator.

Management refuses to deliver to our address (or our entire street) and even though you pay them, theyt offer no discounts or refunds for non-delivery nor do they tell people that they don't service our area. They are horrible to deal with on the item and we can't stop people from shipping via purolator. I highly recommend almost any other carrier in Sudbury Ontaro.
If you order anything from Amazon , and they use Purolator.. just cancel your order... they don't deliver as they say, had 4 packages never dropped off to my house, they just dumped them at a depot and expect you to pick them up.. and call Amazon and have them removed off your shipper list... Amazon is aware of the horrible and lack of service in the Sudbury Manitoulin area..

Amazon used purolator on three of our shipments. We have Amazon prime and expect 2 day delivery. I should say Amazon should take half of the blame for this since it is their two day shipping. However, we waited on purolator to deliver for 10 days. I work in transportation myself and for product to take 10 days to go from Mississauga- 4 hours to my door is rediculous. They had it on the delivery truck for three days and didn’t deliver u till we finally called and complained. As you would expect it was damaged. I will be not be ordering on line for a while

The delivery person was very unprofessional, he came in WITHOUT A MASK during a pandemic when we have multiple signs requiring entry only upon having a face covering. It shouldn't matter if you're here for 30 seconds it's the bylaw, noone likes it. Just do it. Very disappointed.
Terrible service! Only one delivery attempt and now I have to drive 45 minutes to pick up a parcel which I paid to have delivered to my door. Very inconvenient!!!

I moved to Sudbury just over a year ago and I can tell you that I have had at least 6 deliveries or should I say expected deliveries from purolator and not a single one has come toy door. In fact, they have said they tried to deliver but nobody answered and when I checked my cameras, there was absolutely no attempt to deliver. Most of these deliveries were for Amazon products and since Intelcom has taken over, I have had zero issues. Until today when purolator was supposed to deliver. Again and didnt.

Terrible customer service. Did not deliver my package but expected me to be able to drive 200 km one way to pick it up. If I could drive 200 km I wouldn't need to order stuff to be delivered. Still no resolution. Have no package and couldn't get my money back.
Couldn't find our address and I had to pick my package up myself from their warehouse and had to wait as they had trouble locating my package!
Pathetic service. The delivery person doesn't call you to check if you are home or not. And even if you are home, because the buzzer is not enabled, they leave a door tag and ask you to go to their office which is a 40 minutes travel from my place. And when you call their customer service, they say they would not attempt another delivery. If I want to go and collect it from another shipping center that is close to my place, I need to pay additional fees!!! Wow!! what an amazing courier service!!

Horrible company to use if your needing parts at a critical time line.... Always delays, Always late. the service is horrible. Even when you call customer support, they have no leverage to fix any issue. It was just "wait sir for an update" the whole point of paying a premium for shipping is to get it on time. You can tell its a government ran business. Never again.

The worst delivery service Amazon uses. I don't think they even bother going to the addresses. They never leave the package or even a pick up slip. I'm home all day on the days they're suppose to deliver my package and it'll always be marked "delivery attempted"?! Where? I never saw or heard any drivers? Like I said before they don't even leave a pick up slip. I'm pretty certain the drivers just go directly to the Purolator ship center and mark all the orders for pick up.
Package arrived at sort facility on a Friday at 1 pm and its stayed there for 5 days. I am 10 minutes from the sort facility.
We ordered a package, express from Toronto. It will now be at least a week late (ordered Monday, to be delivered by Wednesday). It has sat in the Sudbury Terminal for two days (Although we were not allowed to go pick it up) and has now been transferred to a secondary delivery company, which estimates delivery by this following Wednesday. This is very poor service, regardless of holiday delays.
Package Scanned in town on Thursday, rescheduled delivery till Friday, so I stay home Friday. at 3:30 on Friday package is rescheduled until Monday. On Thursday I asked if I could just pick it up and I was told no. On Friday I was told maybe that they would "try" to have it available for pickup. I can order something from amazon and get it delivered the next day by a different company but purolator takes 4 days to deliver something that in town...
My last two parcels where delivered but now I back on the do not delivered area. I tried to get products ship via post as they do deliver here but some company wont ship postal. I really dislike the poorly run Sudbury Purolators

One of the worst experiences ever. I ordered a $50 item from BestBuy.ca. It was promptly shipped out but never arrived. I have done thousands of dollars in actual shipping cost with Purolator and can only imagine someone that does very little may be treated worse. I went online and tried the virtual agent. After 20 minutes it referred me to a live agent. No live agent available please use email. I emailed along with all tracking info and order numbers etc. I filled in all the lines and answered all the questions. I received a phone call saying there would be a follow up phone call. I did. Again I had to go through every detail and was then told I would receive an email. I got the email and each time a different person and explained every detail. I was told on each occasion Purolator would check their GPS record to confirm it was delivered. No email contained previous conversations. That last email I got basically said their GPS co ordinates confirmed delivery, have a nice day. I made two requests for the GPS co-ordinates they say it was delivered to with no response. I strongly believe two weeks of frustration wasn't necessary. This item was for my daughters birthday in May. I had no other option than to order the same item which arrived today. I paid twice and got it once. BTW, Best Buy did not reply to my request to assist me as its their choice of courier. No response from them but it was not their fault, only in choosing a terrible company to service their customers. Ward Edmonds I want to add that I know about 5 or 6 of Purolators drivers and they are terrific. Professional and always drop my stuff at the same door. I have security cameras and there is no picture of a truck the day they confirmed in their GPS it was delivered. Most people are not aware............ Purolator Inc. is a Canadian courier that is 91% owned by Canada Post, 7% owned by Rainmaker Investments Ltd. and 2% by others.
When they come to the building they don’t even ring your buzzer I saw them arrive and then I had the sticky note saying they were here and so was I. Now I have to go and pick up my order. So why do we have a service when the can’t fulfill it. No stars from me.
We live quite rural and when we first moved here it was hard to get anything delivered but since Purolator services our area they've been great! Almost never a delay, polite drivers. Much better than my experience with fed ex and dhl
It's enough I had to wait 3weeks for my package to be available to Purolator, so that it could be delivered. I leave specific instructions for the delivery person & they completely ignored the first half of those instructions, that specifically said ring one of two buzzers. They called me like I asked but from a British Columbia number, I live in Sudbury, I know no one in B.C. so why the heck would I answer a B.C number

In the last 2 months I have had to wait for puro"late" to get may items to me … first time # days late only cost me 4000 dollars.... this still no here 2 day late so cost 3000 dollars.... my suggestion get in the car and take there yourself … the only reason they get one star is because it won't post with 0

absolute garbage service ..they actually delivered this to me with no shame what so ever. My item inside is bent, dented, paint chopped off, handles ripped. Their phone wait time are over an hour. These guys should be ashamed of themselves.
Worst service
If I could give 0 stars I would. Why bother delivering to residential during the day. No calls, no 3 attempts to deliver, I've been waiting 20 mins on the phone with them on hold. Absolutely horrible company to deal with. Now I have to drive 45 mins one way to their depot to pick up a package I paid to have delivered to my house. I happened to be at the house on lunch on a previous delivery and the delivery person was writing out the delivery notice on the way up the driveway and was going to put it on my door without even knocking. I opened the door as he was going to stick it on. I questioned him and he said he knocked not knowing I was standing on the other side of the door waiting. Useless.
