Helped a friend move and these guys really don’t respect the time frames that they themselves set. You end up wasting so much time for yourself and your friends/family just waiting for them to show up when they please (over 4+ hours later than scheduled, in our experience). If you don’t value your own time, they’re exactly who you want to waste your money on

The team from Salmon's was so good that our building manager at our old apartment said they were the best he's seen, and he's stood at the door for every move-in/out for over 10years! Punctual, friendly, professional, helpful, cost-effective. From coming to our place to quote us, to making two pickups on moving day, our stuff was handled with care and the truck was full-- They are true Moving Tetris masters. I even let them take my surfboards because they were doing such a great job! After our last DIY moving experience a few years ago, we were committed to getting movers this time and we are so glad that we chose Salmon's! I hope everyone gets to experience a moving day that was as smooth, calm, and effective as ours. I would recommend Salmon's to anyone who wants a Great moving experience!

We used Salmon's Transfer to have a piano picked up from Coquitlam and delivered to our home in west Vancouver. Kirk is in charge of piano transfers and was super responsive, by phone and email. He also offered the best quote of a few local delivery places - at around $400, we paid over $200 less than some of the other quotes. The delivery guys were fast, efficient and polite. They didn't come in the window we were given, but they did call sometime afterward to confirm a later window. Since it was a Saturday, the timing didn't matter too much. The piano arrived in good condition. Thanks Kirk & team!

Highly recommend this company. We used them for both our moves within lower mainland. They are very professional on the phone as well as the mover. They laid down red carpet when they come in and able to wrap all furniture, tv and glass without any damage. Also, if your time finished below their quote, they would reduce the amount charged as well. Very great company!

Ten outta ten. What a comforting feeling to have your possessions in the hands of the staff and management of Salmon's. We purposely selected a climate controlled environment. What an excellent choice we made. We purposely selected a local company with years of experience. What an excellent choice we made. We started with this process in 2017 October. Circumstances would have it that we would not be able to have our furniture returned until 3 years later. November 2020. Life, , more life and then Covid-19 happened. We had never had to store items this long in our life thus far. The short story is that these wonderful people delivered what they advertise and great customer relations. As assured items returned in perfect condition and shape, obviously tucked away in a warm place as it it was just yesterday. Thank you one and all at Salmon's Transfer for your people skills, your professionalism and your honest forthright approach. As always the face of the business are the people on the front line of service. In our case the people who picked up or belongings and those who returned them via the Salmon's trucks. I am sensing from the service and friendliness we experienced that there is an excellent work culture at Salmon's Transfer. Bravo! Bravo!

I recently downsized and moved from a 5 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment. Although I had done a lot of purging and packing on my own, I was very grateful to have the packers come in and handle the rest. I was especially concerned about various large paintings and artworks I have that are fragile. The packers did an impeccable job and everything arrived in perfect shape. The movers were equally professional and helpful. When they delivered the furniture to the apartment I realised that some of it wouldn't fit and they were willing to take it to the storage along with other items I had planned to go there. Nightmare experience using Salmon Transfers. Avoid them at all cost. Scheduling mistakes, lack of communication, and poor service from their head office. Made moving unbelievably stressful. I will never use them again. 1. On moving day, the movers didn’t showed up at the time given. When I called the office, I learned they had made a mistake and forgot to enter the details of my move into their database so I wasn’t on the schedule. They scrambled to send movers over last minute. What was supposed to be done in one morning ended up being a full day of waiting for the movers. When the movers arrived, they did their best but were obviously at a disadvantage because no one briefed them or gave them details/information about my move collected previously by the in-home estimator. So they didn’t know where to park or what they needed for packing. The movers themselves did their best and were good at what they do. Their head office, on the other hand, is terrible. 2. Afterwards, I had tried to express to the rep at Salmon Transfers’ head office how stressful moving day was and that I was unhappy about a full day of work missed for their mistake. The response I got was an unauthentic apology and transferring of blame. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me; what is done is done. She also said there was no one else I could speak to (there’s no manager or supervisor) about my experience. Speaking with the staff member was the worst part, her tone and her responses were cold and mean. The way she kept changing the subject felt like she was pushing the blame onto me. The customer service I’ve received has been unbelievably bad. 3. At this point, I just wanted to receive my things and end this ordeal. I was told I would be called the day before delivery by the movers with a time for when they would be arriving. They never called so I relied on the timeframe that the rep at the office had told me earlier; it would be in the afternoon between 1-3pm. I didn’t get a phone call till 3pm on the delivery day to hear that the movers were just heading out and it would be 4 hours till they arrive. Again, I wasted an entire day waiting. The movers again were good people and did a good job unloading my items but clearly we had received different/conflicting information from their head office in terms of schedule. Never use Salmon Transfers. I was fooled by the few positive Google Reviews about them. Moving is challenging enough; you don’t want to risk adding on more stress and complications by using Salmon Transfers. —— UPDATE: Business claims on google reviews that they talked to me about compensation after. No, they never did. I never received an email or phone call. This company demonstrates a lack of integrity by falsely saying they spoke to me to address the issue.

Not impressed. I was helping a friend move and wasted my entire day waiting for them. They showed up 4 hours later than scheduled (!!!!) - when we called the company, the coordinator claimed a computer malfunction in their system. But judging from the other reviews, this is not a one-off issue. When the movers finally came, they were not debriefed on anything and were not aware of the plan (where to park for our townhouse, what to pack, what types of boxes to bring, etc.). The movers themselves were friendly - I had zero issues with them. I am very annoyed with the service level of the overall company though. When we called to request compensation for all our wasted time, they refused. They were AGAIN several hours late on delivery of the stored items. This company is excellent at making you WASTE YOUR TIME and is UNRELIABLE. Do not use them.

Parked in front of our driveway. We called the number on the truck and were told they would move it "in 5 minutes." When they eventually moved it 45 minutes later, causing us to miss our appointment, they were pushing blame onto different members of their team rather than apologizing. I hope you choose a company that is professional, reliable, and sticks to their word instead of Salmon. Pictures available upon request.

In the last 10 years, we’ve moved 8 times, by time 7 we were done. In spite of resistance to hiring movers as this was a “smaller” move, I found a good recommendation, and we hired Salmon’s Transfer. We’ll never go back to moving ourselves again. Salmon’s connected us with one of their owner-operated crews. Our move went seamlessly. The price was good, but the service was invaluable. horrendous. office unable to follow through and complete anything a moving company needs to do. eg. show up maybe? communicate to your staff where they need to be and what they need to do? errors happen but their continuous lame responses during no shows and lack of action during hours long delays is indicative that consideracy and care for their clients doesn't exist. sometimes we see really polarizing reviews on a place but decide to give it a shot anyway because your options are limited and you think "damn, but maybe i'll have a five star exp like some of these other people and it'll be okay" moving is already awful, for the love of lucifer take your patronage and money elsewhere p.s. I suppose they like to lie in review responses and say they've tried to rectify things when they didn't.. which is a whole new low lol
