Wrapped the big stuff, used their special padded box for our thin TV, easily navigated our narrow driveway, and all done quicker than expected with zero damage on anything. Amazing experience!! Very happy! We have had really bad removalists in the past and so we were very anxious to try a new company, but Opera are the best! We just had Thomas and 2 other men help to move us today. They were friendly, professional, arrived early and got started quickly. We ran into a couple of issues with our parking roof being too short for their truck but they walked everything in from further down the driveway with no complaints. Finished early, even with extra things we weren’t expecting them to move for us. No hidden fees. Highly recommended!!!

I have used a number of removalists in the past but these guys are on a different level. Highly recommend them. I needed to move a 2 bedroom unit within Sydney’s inner west and unfortunately had very little notice to find removalists. Nathan from Opera was very prompt and helpful in setting up the move and Justin and his colleague did a fantastic job in executing it. They were extremely diligent in carrying and wrapping the furniture in the truck yet did in a very fast pace. Unfortunately I had quite a lot to move so it took 2 trips but well worth the money I paid - not a single scratch on the goods. As a bonus they were very nice guys which made the move more pleasant and smoother

The removalists were running almost an hour late due to traffic but kept us updated and the move was so efficient that we didn't mind at all. I have to say I was hesitant to hire a medium/young company to handle my removal as I have heard horror stories from friends... I am very glad I gave these guys a chance... Eric, Nathan and the rest of the team were absolutely fantastic. Always a kind smile and very responsive. Always treating our stuff with lots of care and even at the end of the day, when the team was 100% tired after 10 hours carrying lots of heavy things, they had the best attitude and 100% professionalism. I had always used the big name removalists in the past, but I can honestly say there is no need. Opera will surely handle my next move. They're with you every step of the way checking in to make sure you're on track for your move. Bold and Zoro were fantastic on the day I was worried about difficult access from the departure house but they dealt with it like pros and it didn't bother them. excellent team. looked at several but chose Opera partly as the cost was competitive, but also all inclusive. team arrived early and got to loading dock working well with building management. team of three were very fast and efficient, flat was completely emptied within 2 hrs. other end managed difficult street parking well, and also completely finished with 2 hrs. my last moves took at least 6 hrs. equipment used I think helped with their large travel boxes for smaller items such as plants or small boxes & bags. meant much faster move to and from truck. Ended up costing less than 3/4 of my budget (and half my worst case scenario!). was the most positive moving experience I've had & all done by noon. very happy customer and have been recommending to friends.

Very efficient staff. Was careful when handling the stuff. Would be better if they charge every half hourly instead of hourly and provide a larger truck because if we didn’t move our boxes by ourselves prior to the actual moving date, we’ll end up making 2 trips instead of one.

I’ve used these guys twice, they are amazing. So efficient and careful. I was quoted for 3 hours and they did it in less than 2 hours. They wrapped my mattress so it didn’t get dirty and packed my TV so it didn’t get damaged. I possibly packed badly before they turned up but they handled it so well. Totally recommend these guys!

During our move the movers from Opera Removals used my 2 crates that were part of the moving load to prop open the main door of our apartment building on a busy street in Redfern. Inside the 2 crates were 2 bags containing items worth around $1500. During the move I was in the apartment while the movers carried out my items to the truck parked outside. At no point did they ask me or my partner to be on the street to guard these. I did not realise the bags were gone until unpacking everything the next day. Opera Removals told me I needed to prove the existence of the bags inside the crates before they would take any action. I contacted the building manager + the managers of the 2 restaurants on either side of our apartment building who all told me there are no CCTV cameras there. Opera removals only offer then was to then report this to the police. I highly doubt the police will start any kind of investigation into items that were left unattended on a busy street for hours, with no CCTV to prove it. I find it extremely disappointing that I have been offered no compensation what so ever. My last attempts to contact them have been ignored. I trusted these movers to take care of my belongings, and I find leaving any part of a load on a busy street unattended is extremely negligent especially on a busy street in a suburb like Redfern.

We contracted Opera Removals to move our call centre two blocks up the road. A very straightforward move of computers, monitors and boxes in the main. However, it also involved two extremely heavy, awkward pieces of glass, which needed to be unpacked out of a wooden crate and carefefully manoeuvred in order to fit into the lift. The guys from Opera managed this like superstars. Opera presented as very professional from the very first visit to our office. They delivered appropriate packing material and were in contact with us every step away. We were appointed a “move coordinator” and kept up to date with reminders and updates via SMS in the days prior to the move. On move day, the team turned up on time ready for action. The removalist guys were friendly, professional, fit and strong. I would use again and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Opera Removals for any move.

Super glad I chose to hire these guys for my move. They were great at their jobs and even better, they treated all my belongings with respect - while packing and unpacking the truck. They brought absolutely everything needed to move from the tools to disconnect anything that needed doing so, to their own storage boxes which were great quality might I add (at no extra cost!) they worked fast so they weren’t prolonging the time you had to pay which I’m very grateful for. All in all, they were with us for 2 1/2 hours moving absolutely everything you would have in a house to a bigger house. They were happy to take everything off the truck exactly to where I needed it in the house. Thanks so much boys! Opera Removals was very efficient and professional from when we first contacted them with our enquiry, until we completed our move. Nathan was very responsive and helpful via email when we made our booking. Our removalists, Dan and Bob, were great. They wrapped all of our furniture with protective coverings and nothing was damaged. We had a lot of loose items but these were moved very quickly as they brought large boxes to move multiple items at once. They even helped disassemble and reassemble our bed - it was so fast and even more sturdy than we originally assembled it ourselves (and we took us a very long time!). I would definitely recommend their services, and if we move again in the future, we plan to go with Opera again.

Very frustrating to work with. They advised they provide boxes for moving and my housemate and myself organised to pick them up. We were advised where to pick them up, and anytime after 6:30pm. Once I drove all the way there and called Eric, I was advised that he was not there and actually several hours north and wouldn't be back until 11:30pm that night. (which I was of course not hanging around for 5 hours, or driving home and then back again). So we agreed that they will be delivered the next day between 1-2pm. 2pm comes around and they have still not arrived and no phone call. 3pm comes around and still no phone call. 3:30pm and we finally get a call to advise that they could not make it and would not be able to do so until 8-9pm that night. Which again is unacceptable, we had already made plans around the times that had been set and cancelled on two occasions. The only credit I give them is that they processed the refund in a timely manner. It came across as incredibly disorganised and unprofessional. EDIT: Opera Removals have apparently marked this as "spam" because they have "no record" of my move. I have attached a photo of correspondence to "jog" their memory. Please note Opera Removals, you never provided as a confirmation number, and most of our correspondence was through Eric.

Excellent service affordable price, Great team, very professional. We did packed our own boxes however we soon realised that the estimated number was going to be greater than expected. Discussed this with Opera removals and this was not an issue with no additional cost. Removalists arrived on time (which included the removal of a piano and a large snooker table). Everyone was courteous and helpful - nothing was too difficult. Move from Sydney metro to regional Qld was done efficiently and nothing was damaged. Could not have asked for anything more. I would recommend this company to anyone moving.

I have used a number of removalists in the past but these guys are on a different level. Highly recommend them. I needed to move a 2 bedroom unit within Sydney’s inner west and unfortunately had very little notice to find removalists. Dan from Opera Removals was very prompt and helpful in setting up the move and Alex and his colleague did a fantastic job in executing it. They were extremely diligent in carrying and wrapping the furniture in the truck yet did in a very fast pace. Unfortunately I had quite a lot to move so it took 2 trips but well worth the money I paid - not a single scratch on the goods. As a bonus they were very nice guys which made the move more pleasant and smoother.
