Absolute terrible service, they took my money and booked in a job without asking me a bunch of critical questions that they needed to know in order to successfully complete the job, then blamed me for being the problem: 1- Will there be someone home or are you just leaving the key. 2 - Do you have boxes or do you need us to provide them. 3. - We will charge you a minimum charge out rate if we fail to ask you the above questions and we show up at your job, then turn around and try to blame you the customer for our own mistakes.

Could not recommend Hire a Packer more highly! They made packing the house quick and easy. I booked 2 packers for 4 hours and they were able to pack our entire kitchen, laundry and two kids bedrooms in this time. Way more than I had expected. The packers were punctual, efficient and quick!

I can’t recommend the ladies at Hire a Packer enough! Meny and Susan supported us in the packing and unpacking. They were friendly, professional, and so so helpful! Hire a packer were able to accommodate our request for their services quickly, which was much appreciated as our move was sudden. Meny and Susan powered through several rooms in four hours for both the packing and unpacking. Very impressed with how quickly and efficiently they worked, along with their intuitive process for unpacking. We have never had such an easy move!

If you live in Melbourne DO NOT BOOK this service. The head office in Sydney will tell you they don't care the unpackers have left things a complete mess, everything piled up and stuffed in cupboards, because it's your fault the new kitchen is smaller. The unpackers never asked for clarification or where we'd like things. And despite sending lots of photos to head office showing the absurdity of their unpacking (baking goods under the sink/bin, items piled to the ceiling of the cupboard, etc) the answer was a cold hearted "too bad". Incredibly, they also asked to finish 40 minutes early! Like other reviews, I've had to repack the ENTIRE kitchen and bedrooms. It's worse than if I'd never had unpackers, I can't find anything. I am proceeding to VCAT. Terrible terrible service. Do yourself a favour and hire Moving Angels. Had them twice and superb.

I called Hire A Packer and spoke to Stephanie, who was amazing, and she organised my whole move in less than half an hour. She made my booking easy by being clear about the service, options & prices. I miscalculated how many boxes I needed at the last minute, and she sent Paul to deliver more within a few hours of my call. My packers, Suzanne & Judy arrived on time, got straight to work and packed everything within 4 hours. They were both lovely, friendly efficient women, who took care of my breakables like they were their own. I couldn't be happier, and I will never move again without calling Hire A Packer. We hired two packers to help us pack up our home. They were absolutely awesome. First off, they were lovely people / ladies, who I could instantly relate to and could tell I didn't need to worry about trust, their handling of my items, or anything like that. They just hit the ground running and packed everything up super efficiently. I had my 4 year old bobbing around them constantly wanting to "help" by basically throwing books at them and they smiled and played along with her the whole time while still moving at an incredible pace. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend these guys.

All the boxes were well labelled which allowed us to quickly find the right box at the other end. The kitchen items were well packed and there were no breakages. This was money well spent which made the move much easier.

We moved with a newborn and thought from the reviews that this service would take the stress out of moving. We were sadly very disappointed. Firstly, at the packing end, they said we could easily extend the hours required on the day. When we tried to do this, one packer could only stay an additional hour. We were left to pack the remainder of our house ourselves. At the unpacking end, several boxes were left unpacked, and our entire pantry was just loaded on top of each other in a complete mess. Things that were unpacked were put in terrible places and on the day one of the ladies continually asked 'what to do next?' This wasn't our expectation at all and sadly, we have had to rearrange the entire house to a more practical set up (especially the kitchen), of which we thought Hire a Packer were capable of. A very big anti-climax.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Moving in general is stressful enough but particularly so with a toddler and newborn baby! Sarah and Christine took most of that stress away. They were friendly, professional and work so well as a team. They packed up our entire townhouse in four hours the day before we moved. I initially only booked the pack, however, called them back a few days later to get them back in to help me unpack haha. I wish I could give more than five stars! Best move I have ever done :)
