Absolutely horrifying. Do not use. Lied about what they would do, did half the job. Lost stuff, damaged things. Then tried to get out of paying for losses and damages. Quotes me on packing and unpacking. Did not pack the food. Told me to get a cooler. Did not unpack. scratches and damaged my bed frame and artwork. They sell full cost coverage insurance but then only agreed to do repairs with their own person and i still have lost items. I can share the emails from 2015, invoice etc. As they have denied that I exist.

I debated whether to give a three or a four star for this review. At the end of the day, they did a good job there was just some things I think people should be aware of it booking this company. My husband and I moved from Ontario to Alberta in December. I hired Harvey Moving to pick up our stuff and have it delivered. I did all the packaging/disassembling/assembling. When I got the quote, I was told the day they picked things up we would be charged a minimum of 4 hours. I wasn't too worried, since we really didn't have a lot of stuff - we sold most of it. Long story short, they arrived at 9 and were gone just after 11, so I was expecting 4 hours since that's the minimum. When I got the first invoice, it was for a charge of 6 hours (maybe 7). When I asked about it, I was told they had to drive from St. Catharines to Grimsby, then load, then Grimsby to Hamilton, to get the weight and then back to St. Catharines. I don't think that accounts for 4 additional hours that I was charged and there is no way to really track it - you just have to take them at their word. For $150/hour - it was a little unsettling. As for the delivery, the day they were supposed to delivery it there was a snow storm (our luck) so they couldn't do it. Nobodies fault - the driver offered to come back first thing Christmas Eve which I thought was really nice. I was still in Ontario, so my husband was running point and told the driver, he would have to be gone by noon to get to work. The driver said not an issue, they needed 2 hours max (since again, not a lot of stuff). Instead of showing up at 8, as promised, they showed up at 10 and one guy stayed in the truck leaving the other guy to do it on his own. After an hour, not even half the stuff was unloaded and my husband said he had to get to work. Despite the tedious labelling, for the simple fact that I wanted things put in the rooms they were slated for ... they just threw everything in the entry way/living room. Boxes were broken, as were storage totes and it was a bit of a stressful scene to walk into once I arrived in Alberta. When we finally started unpacking, we noticed one of our TVs had a touch spot on it, in the middle of the screen - as though something had been leaning on it or fallen into it. I sent an email after we noticed (a week or so after initial delivery) and didn't get a response. It sounds like a lot of complaints - but overall, they got our stuff here and Dave was very nice when I dealt with him. I would recommend using them - but, I would find a way to get a more accurate quote for the day of, and make sure there's something in place that says delivery includes TWO people actually working (or more depending on the amount of stuff) and they put it in the identified rooms. Their price per pound is competitive with other companies - it's the other prices you just need to get a more accurate quote of, or better explained quote. I was just told it was for the time they took to pick everything up.

I've heard horror stories about moving companies - however I was referred to Harvey Moving Systems through a friend. They quoted the work accordingly and followed through as priced. Movers (Tim, Norm & Chris) were extremely friendly & professional. They made my moving experience really enjoyable and took a lot of stress off our plate. I'm usually pretty picky, but honestly I had nothing to complain about. They were all super careful and not one scratch/scuff on my furniture or walls! Thank you Tim, Chris & Norm - much respect.

They helped us move in July from Burlington to Beamsville and the 2 guys who helped us move did an excellent job moving a whole house. They arrived on time and had everything in the truck within a couple of hours. Furniture was moved into our new house quickly and they even helped put things back together. Fast and efficient. We've used Harvey's Moving 6 times in the last 12 years. Never an issue. Great crew every single time. Salesmen Dave H came out each time and gave us a quote that was practically dead on each time. We've even been using their self storage for the last 6 years and never an issue. Anytime we've needed in they've always been there. We've even used their packing service a few times and the girl who does it has always been pleasant and rather quick. We definitely will use them again and always recommend them to our family and friends.

We used Harveys Moving and Storage to move us from Fonthill ON to Niagara on the Lake. They came across very professional in our first meeting, fully committing to moving our household furniture including a brand new $40k Yamaha grand piano. On moving day they showed up and didn't have the proper tools to take the legs off the piano. They had to go to a hardware store to buy the proper wrench. They loaded everything else up and drove to our new home and that's where the disaster begun. Here is a summary of what happened: 1. As they started moving the piano my wife saw that it was falling and asked them to stop and reset the piano. They told her to "shut up and go back into the house, they know what they are doing". They threatened my wife saying they will just leave the piano in the rain if she doesn't "go back inside" was their exact words 2. They ended up dropping our piano and proceeded to drag it across the concrete walkway. Resulted in thousands of dollars of damage. 3. It started to rain during this fiasco and they left the piano sitting outside while they called their manager to discuss the situation. 4. We contacted the manager to discuss the situation and didn't get a call back for days. When he did call, he was as bad as his workers to speak with. This was our worst nightmare coming to life and the company we contracted to do the move wasn't stepping up to take responsibility. What a horrible experience all the way around. I'm going to leave it at that but am happy to share more details with you. Bottomline, if you care for your belongings, don't use this company.

We used this moving company to do a move from Burlington, to another close by city, about 30 minutes away. We had issues with their starting times. Then although the team started off OK, they quickly got tired which lead to complaints about tea/coffee provided, lunch (apparently pizza is not adequate enough), the move took longer than anticipated as the person who came in for the quote did not do it properly and the move took twice as along as it should have (what was the purpose of providing a quote it the total was going to be double!) Then because the movers were tired, they did assemble items, did not put boxes in the correct rooms, even though they were all labelled. These movers are a complete mess and I would not recommend or use them again. As a matter of fact I had them booked to move my office a week later and cancelled!

We recently used Harvey's Moving to move my Mother into a new home, and to move our belongings into storage while we wait for our new home to be completed. We were nervous initially due to another review, however I cannot imagine a better move experience! The movers were courteous, hard working men. They were very respectful of our home and our belongings. The experience from start to finish was excellent! They were also very competitively priced compared to other large moving companies of their stature. Later this week we move into our new home and we will be using them again for this move.
