They took my call for a move an pack on short notice in the dead of winter, and did a phenomenal job. Everything was smooth, professional, and the guys that moved us were clean cut, hard working, friendly and kind. They were able to pack and move my wife's condo from Edmonton to Calgary in one day, and do it safely. I was incredibly impressed, and will hire them again if I'm in the area.

We moved recently to Victoria from Alberta and the move with Burly Boyz was excellent. The movers arrived when they said they would, were careful to wrap all of our furniture (we have a lot of antiques), put runners down to protect the flooring and were done in the time they predicted. When we arrived in Victoria they were very professional and always asked where we wanted our boxes and our furniture. The furniture that they had to take apart to move was put back together again. Throughout the move, they were friendly and courteous. Their prices were competitive and I would highly recommend them.

We hired Burley Boyz to move our larger items to our new home: couches, tables, entertainment unit, etc. Hanni and Allen did a great job. They took time and care to make sure they didn’t scuff or damage any area of our new home. We asked a few specific things to be done during the process. They were responsive with our requests and the entire process was quick and smooth. Unfortunately they couldn’t get a larger couch up from the basement. After multiple attempts I told them to forget about it to save time, as Burley Boyz charges by the hour. Not a huge deal, and it was the only hiccup in the entire process. Thankfully we have access to the old home in order to figure out another means to get the couch out. So if you’re trying to be efficient and save time on moving costs, Burley Boyz is a great company and willing to work with your needs. Thanks again!

If I could give 100 stars ...... I would ! I was so nervous to do a move from Edmonton AB to Bridgewater NS. So many horror stories out there ...... I chose Burly Boyz in Edmonton AB . I called & spoke with Milan . He told me the process for my household & arranged for my car to be shipped also with a professional car transport ( Hanson's ) . I recieved a quote & booked a date . The quote for both was very reasonable as compared to others ..... and even UHaul could not compare . On my moving day ..... The crew arrived at the appointed time . Some of my belongings had to specialty wrapped & it was done , reassurances were made & the boys worked carefully & steady . My belongings were on the way . I had a window of arrival as there would be a crew change in Toronto . At all times I was informed of where my belongings were and the status of arrival . The truck arrived in Nova Scotia & I was glad to see it was the original truck it was packed on . Sushi & Rahime were my crew here . Excellent job. I cannot say enough about how satisfied I was with this company . Professional & efficient ! It was a totally stress free move ..... just as promised . Joshua and Chris showed up on time, wrapped all my furniture thoroughly with moving blankets, and safely prepared my boxes for storage. Final total was slightly higher than the quote, but that's because they took time to thoroughly packed and protect my belongings. Would recommend for local moving services, and affordable storage.

We used Burly Boyz for our move over August long weekend. We were really disappointed in this company. My husband spent a half hour with the admin girl inventorying our entire house, shed and garage, in order that they could make an accurate quote. However, they quoted us only half the amount that they charged us, claiming it would only take 4 hours to load, and 3 hours to unload their largest truck. It took 9 hours to load and 4 hours to unload. The movers themselves were commenting on how well everything was packed, so it's not as if they spent time rearranging or repacking any boxes. In the end, they couldn't even fit all our stuff, so my husband had to scramble to find a trailer and move what was left. The movers themselves were great, but the office is untrustworthy. Don't use these guys unless you're willing to pay double what they quote.

Burly Boyz just finished my move today and man I have to say...5 stars isnt nearly enough. They were amazing. Right from the quote at the beginning to the actual move today. Fast, efficient, friendly and so respectful of my things. I called every company in my area, got quotes from them all and these guys by far won me over. I will 100% be using them again in the future. Smoothest move ever, these guys gave us the best mover experience. This was a particularly important move as it was a long distance move from one province to another. We also needed the move scheduled within a very short period of time and they were able to accommodate us in a few short days when no one else could! The movers were also on time, on schedule and very quick and efficient in moving our things. Everyone I dealt with from the dispatch, to the coordinator and the movers were just really helpful and great people to deal with! Price was also very reasonable and I can't recommend these guys enough! Give these guys a call for your next move!

From booking the moving date and the timely responses received by Liz, to the caring and professional moving crew, using Burly Boyz was an easy and stress free choice! The booking process was seamless and Liz ensured all of my questions were answered thoroughly and in a timely manner. The quote we received before the moving date was very reflective of what we paid, so much so that we actually paid $100 under what was quoted!! The moving crew on the day of the move showed up 5 minutes early (after calling and notifying us), were VERY efficient, personable and friendly during the move! They took great care of every item from a box of towels to our art pieces! After receiving a quote for full house long distance move and being surprised by the affordability we decided to not even compare for a smaller short distance move. They, came, they wrapped, they moved. Only failure and difference is they couldn't fit the couch in at the other end, curse you round walls! They brought the couch back with no hassle or grief. From initial contact, follow up and execution it's been professional and courteous. I highly recommend this company, and we look forward to the long haul that is on the horizon.

We hired Burly Boyz for our move on July 4th. They came recommended by friends. They were prompt, professional and very pleasant. I was super nervous about a few bigger items I had that had sentimental meaning, and they handled them like pros! Nothing damaged, and the time quoted was pretty much bang on. I wouldn't even dream of recommending this company to anyone moving. Don't make the same mistake I did. We moved from Alberta to Ontario. I checked reviews, BBB rating and it all looked good. They even had the better rate. But please, PLEASE if you're also researching, just move on. They are extremely disorganized, severe lack of communication and didn't even own up to the mistake of how our boxes went missing or how our couch was damaged. We even bought the extra insurance they offered. I don't want to leave a super long post (because it's 3 months worth) but all in all, my husband and I just decided to settle with the poor offer for the couch because the stress and time dealing with it became too much. Even though we have emails that can prove their incompetency, we decided to take the loss and just move on. We even got to the point of going to the Better Business Bureau where if it wasn't for US informing them, they would of loss their business accreditation because of their lack of communication with the BBB. They are sleazy and just plain crooks. Please don't go through the hassle of using them. Move on to a more accredited company so that if something does go wrong, there is a proper procedure with proper insurance that doesn't leave room for "interpretation".

My experience was definitely worth the money! I WAY UNDERESTIMATED how much stuff I had to move and a small quick move turned into a fair bit of work. Chis and Montana were all smiles and good conversation and all around pleasant the whole time. They worked super hard and were still able to make the estimated time to my surprise. Well done to them! Very professional and hard working. Zero damage to our things thanks a bunch to them. A great experience and will definitely call again for our next move.

From the first moment I called Burly Boyz, I spoke to Milan and he did exactly what he said he would. I had contacted several other moving companies before I moved for quotes and not only was Burly Boyz the lowest price quoted but the most professional and the only company that followed up with me after providing their quote. They were also the first to come out to view and inspect the items being moved and thoroughly explained in detail what was involved and what exactly they would be doing for me, something I greatly appreciate knowing what I too am expected to prepare for them on move day. When moving day came I had the pleasure to meet Steve and Kelvin. They both greeted me early Saturday morning with big smiles and handshakes. They walked through my premises and were pleased with how I was able to arrange the furniture and boxes so it made it easier and faster for them to move the items. My move was not large however, it came with some very heavy pieces and lot's of stairs so to my amazement, they handle the move very efficiently and again with great care. Not to mention, because they were so efficient the move was completed under the estimated time saving me money. This was a very pleasant experience and I would have absolutely no problem recommending Burly Boyz moving to anyone in need of a company. I will definitely be contacting them for my personal home move in future. Wow . we moved our house with older heavy furniture. KD and his helper were on time and very polite. Moved our furniture in and out in 6 hours. Could not imagine doing this alone. Both houses had tough access points. Price was the best and because it was cheaper did not mean it was inferior. Would highly recommend and would use them again. Nope. Not moving again. Well done

Let me share my experience... A quick Google search for moving companies in Edmonton brought me to Burly Boyz. I read the reviews because, of course, they would be handling all our family's possessions. Reviews looked good. Time to make the call... The first person to answer the phone was Milan who was polite, courteous and answered all of our questions without hesitation. Then came the "over the phone estimate". Milan had my wife walk through the house and tell him what was in each room. He put all the information into his computer program and came up with a quote which included travel time, fuel surcharge and such. Now, something went wrong with the estimate part... unfortunately our house got under estimated... meaning we had way more stuff after we pulled everything out to pack it. This isn't entirely the fault of the company but it isn't ours either... I believe someone should have come to the house and made the estimate that way so they could actually see what had to be moved. Anyway... The driver called 2 days before to make sure he brought all the right materials. No issue there at all. He then called the day of the move to let us know he was on the way. Arrived promptly at 8 am like clockwork. The crew was very surprised at how much stuff we had to be moved. They walked through the whole house and made a plan but were still believing they would be overwhelmed. These fellas worked, and worked hard!!! They wrapped all the furniture and they never complained once. Just kept plugging away. Luckily I had a trailer at the house that was available for the move as well... and we used it... loaded the truck and my trailer to the roof!!! Thankfully we got 95% of it moved and luckily we have the other house for a little while as well. So I'll move the little stuff we left behind. I'm just glad they worked so hard to get our belongings to where they had to be... and nothing was damaged!!! Kelvin, Rob and Zach were truly gentlemen and worked hard, very hard!!! Don't be afraid to call and have Burly Boys move you!

Update Aug 21: After a few back and forth with Burly Boyz, we had come to an agreement. There were a lot of miscommunication, where it had left me in the dark. But after being followed up with by someone who actually did follow through with what he had said he was going to do (Mike) who actually spoke to me like he was an actual human being with feelings, Burly Boyz did make it right. The delivery guys were fantastic. They were quick even with my building managers arguing over trivial things. They got the job done. I still will only give a 4 star just because of the hiccups. But thank you for rectifying this and getting me my things in one piece. If i can give them a negative star i would. I thought i had found a company that would make moving out of province seaming-less and easy. We had 2 moves booked with them/ one out of province & one in the same city. If i can even take my tips back i would. I was promised a 2 week window. Got told 3 different dates. And on the 3rd one they gave me a time that is 3-4 weeks from the pick up date. I've left them MULTIPLE messages. Which they never apparently check.trying to get a call back is as easy as pulling a child's tooth out. And when you finally get through, this older woman sounds like she is "too good" to help. The 'movers' themselves are OK. However the staff you actually have to deal with? The front desk people and dispatch? They clearly don't care, whether you get your stuff or not. I am sitting in my EMPTY APARTMENT (in a diff province, once again chasing Burly Boyz down. They should rebrand to UNRELIABLE MOVERS.) 2 weeks after they've taken my stuff writing this review. And there solution is either bring it between August 18-24. Or they keep my 400$ and i can come get it.. does that logically make sense to anyone? Take your money elsewhere. The front desk ladies all are fake nice till they get payment & you don't matter. The movers are efficient and great but the staff .in the office? Nope. Thank you for a wonderful job.

What can I say that’s not great about the Burly Boyz crew that was dispatched to move us. I have mobility issues, and hubby’s 68. This crew of 3 hit the ground running and never quit! They were absolutely amazing with their speed and politeness. Liz in the office was very pleasant, so I’m not sure if she deserved negative comments. Due to a lot of different variables, she slotted us in, knowing how stressed we were. Nothing but awesome comments to the entire Burly Boyz team......we will definitely use you again in the future! From our initial estimate, when Milan walked me through the whole house (over the phone) and had me list all the furniture, in order to give me an estimate of the overall cost and time for moving. To the information provided (how to pack, what to move ourselves, etc). And finally, to the day of the move. The crew working for us (Coralie, Sat and Tyler) were professional, courteous and respectful of our belongings. We received a call prior to the arrival. And throughout the move, they took their time and moved at a pace that ensured they didn’t cause damage to our old house, new house or to any of our stuff. Very dishonest company does not honor confirmed tume, lost two days work unpaid as they lied when truck was to arrive. Movers were skinny and obviously non-skilled. Damages to both apartment and new condo. Took out insurance to cover my damages. The company was so dishonest they claimed the mover miscalculated bill and there was any longstanding balance and did not reimburse damages done. I would never recommend this company and wiil be reporting to CBC Go Public and report to Better Business Bureau. Not recommended to ever use this company.

Chris and DaVone were at their best. Arrvived for pickup on time. Delay in drop-off was due to the other reasons which were out of their control. Even after 9000lbs drop off the were quick and did not damage even one single product. I saw how they tied my stuff and ensured nothing was damaged during the tirp from YEG to YYC. My load was under 1000lb, I was surprised how fast they managed to load/unload the truck. I would definitely recommend Burly boyz. Great Job Chris & DaVone

Mike and the boys were diligent in taking care to not damage the floors or the furniture when moving out of our Edmonton house and into our home in Lacombe. They also were very cheerful while working and seemed to enjoy their time while loading and unloading the truck. We had a lot of china and crystal to move and not a single piece was broken. If you have to move, I suggest you use this company, and if you need stuff to pack things in, I suggest you rent some of their burley boxes. They made moving and packing so much more efficient.

The only problem I had was they did not arrive in my time window given as the ran late on a previous move and then there truck broke down so they were over an hour late. When 2 guys showed up to move our 2 bedroom condo, I was a little concerned because I had previously received a confirmation of 3 gentlemen to help us. However, Jason and Matt worked so hard to get us moved into our new house in record time! Burly Boyz also offered us $20/hr off of the 2-man rate to keep us as close to the previous estimate as they could. They did the absolute best that they could with a shi**y situation. Thank you so much!

During our move I was presented with an additional insurance option for items in case they broke during transit at around $200. Was told I probably wouldn’t need it as I’m “not driving across Canada”. Of course on the way to my new place (10 minute drive) a sideboard to my bed frame broke. We found out when one of the movers approached my wife and said “I just want to bring to your attention there’s a crack in the sideboard”. No mention of how it broke. On top of that the movers did not wear slip covers when entering my new home. Nor did they put down runners leading to the basement. Just dirty shoes on newer carpet. When looking at the broken frame there were screws left on the floor of my master bedroom. I filled in a claim form and didn’t hear back but instead was left to call and leave a message which wasn’t returned. Called again and was told I could be refunded $12 for the sideboard as I didn’t purchase the transit insurance (which was not recommended by our mover). I finally called back and spoke to the claims department and the lady insinuated that the board could have been broken previously...she also told me that she didn’t have a picture of the broken board yet a mover took one with his phone. I was also told I would receive a call back from Nikola and I did not. The movers also left work gloves, a runner, a mark on my wall and the anchors to the wall mount (from my previous place) on my TV. So then I had to remove the anchors and drive them back to my old place. During this process I did speak to Nikola who was very nice to speak to. I was told (from the claims department) he would be calling me back again but that hasn’t happened yet... They have my money ($850 approx) so I’m sure they aren’t too bothered getting back to me. It’s been a couple days since I was told I would receive a call. Looks like I’m going to have to consider this an “experience” and move on...

Highly recommended! We had a great moving crew (Jordan and Craig were awesome)! Professional, friendly, and they took care of our stuff. It was definitely worth paying a bit more for a reputable moving company. 4 stars (wish I could do 4.5) only because we had a hiccup with a sick employee that delayed our move by one day with no compensation provide to us for the inconvenience. Not really the companies fault, however, given the cost of the move I would have expected contingencies in place to have another crew member available.

Nothing but great things to say about this company!! Due to unfortunate events from a different moving company I had to give these guys a call last minute and hope for the best. I wish they were the first company I called!! Extremely professional and helpful every step of the way. I had a small amount of stuff to move from Edmonton to Toronto. The movers were polite and courteous. Floor runners were put down to keep the snow contained. They worked quickly and took the time to answer any questions I had to put me at ease about my move. The gentlemen showed up early at each end. Everything showed up with no damage and was handelled with care. Will forever recommend this company!

I called Burly Boyz on Tuesday to get a quote for a move on Saturday. The fellow on the phone was so professional and friendly and the price was reasonable. Saturday morning the one fellow showed up right on time but the driver with the truck had driven to the delivery address by mistake. Not a big deal he showed up with a half hour. They laid down mats through the house and they quickly had everything packed on the truck. They arrived at the new address and again had the truck unloaded and everything put in the right room. Montana and (I am sorry but I forgot the name of the other fellow) did a fantastic job and I will definitely use this company again!

Well this company does deserve a 5 stars from me. I would have given more if that was possible. As I was searching for a good company for my move from Alberta to BC, I come across Burly Boys and decided to give them a shot based on their reviews. I talked to Milan to get a quote and got the ball rolling. After agreed to a minimum weight price, I decided to give it a go. on the moving day, Drae, Chris and Brendan shows up to my home on time. I was surprised to see how professional they are. Each item was tagged with a unique number and everything they moved was wrapped in the blanket apart from our boxes. They Provided extra bubble wraps and covers for the mattresses which we asked them to use to cover certai items. They didn't rush as all and made sure that everything is safe and covered while loading in the truck. They almost took 6 hours to finish loading and made sure that we are happy with their service. Now the waiting period began and but obvious we were a bit stressed after hearing all the horror moving stories. But we were pleasantly surprised to see nothing was damaged at all. We got our whole furniture as it is and again Drae and Chris came to unload the truck as well. Drae and Chris are the most hard working men I have met in a while and they are respectful and professional as well. They sure deserve to be mentioned specially. They again made sure to put everything where we wanted in our place and reassemble the furniture they disassemble while loading. I will again use them whenever I need my next move. Thank you again for making this move seamless and less stressful for us.

I hired the Burly Boyz to move a 12x6 snooker pool table located in a basement of of a house. Each slate slab weighed 350 pounds and there were 5 of them! The Boyz were amazing and it was completed in an amazing time! Offering insurance was a great added bonus which demonstrates good business to their customers. I’d hire them back in a heartbeat! You guys are fantastic!

BEWARE: Burly Boyz may NOT move you on your scheduled moving day. I normally don’t give a negative review but I just want all customers out there to be aware that this company would cancel on your moving day just like what they did to us. Maybe it’s very rare that this situation happens but it did happen to us. We requested their service late in the afternoon but around 2:30 PM on our moving day they phoned to ask if they can move us instead on the following day at noon! ???? Apprently their crew was at that time still outside the city and are expected to arrive late in the evening. We said that we will wait if they can guarantee us with the moving no matter what time it is gonna be. Unfortunately they can’t guarantee us their service until the crew arrives in Edmonton which they were not sure what time that will be. Worst is, that they don’t send their people to work after 10:00 PM. So even if we waited but they arrived by 10:00 the moving would have still been cancelled. That was our last day of our lease with the apartment and could not extend our stay. Me and my husband ended up moving our stuff on our own. What is unfair with their policy is that you have to give 3 weeks notice to cancel otherwise you don’t get your $200 deposit back. But they are allowed to cancel a couple of hours before your scheduled moving without any compensation. Leaving you helpless and feeling pathetic.

If I could rate the movers that delivered in BC VS the ones in Ontario I would. The BC movers were incredible. On that note, if you’re expecting easy communication you’re in for a real treat. We have tried to contact Dan numerous times, in fact we’ve been waiting for an email from him for a week. We were promised to have prompt responses once our move had made it to each check point, we did not. Anything we wanted to know we had to call repetitively and hope Dan would give us the time of day. We even asked someone who was very lovely (Hayley) if she would ensure Dan would get the message and phone us back and she said absolutely, to no surprise, he didn’t. The lack of communication was particularly difficult because we are moving across Canada. The sheet they used to track our belongings was written in chicken scratch and labeled “brown box, big brown box” instead of a numbering system and it was very confusing to keep track off. Secondly we were told our move would be here on Sunday or Monday and we were eventually informed that it was not factual after we called (4x) in one day. Which led to us having to pay for a hotel. We asked if it was a guarantee that our move would be here today and they said no. I asked how they could not guarantee the time of our move when we were promised 48 hours notice and she said she didn’t know what to say, I asked if there was someone who could help us and then she said no. (If you’re questioning any of this at this point do yourself a favour and change the settings to the negative reviews only and you’ll see how consistent this complaint is). Now, let’s get into my favourite part of all of this. My damaged belongings, my bed frame looks like it has been chewed apart with dirty finger prints all the over it. My brand new black vanity has a scratch straight across the top, as well as my brand new kitchen chairs being scuffed up. My box that is labeled “fragile” is completely shredded on the side and my lamp is broken. My book shelf had boxes placed inside of it and it blew the back of the entire book shelf out. I am not normally a review gal and to be honest I wouldn’t be writing this if I just had damaged belongings, however, the communication and stress Burly Boyz caused us was too much. 0 stars.

*** BUYER BEWARE *** These guys moved our house from Alberta to Ontario. They showed up in Ontario on the last possible day 30 days after we moved with no contact in between and showed up missing countless items. They lost boxes full of sentimental non replaceable items. Every box that had valuables in it was “lost”. Right from the start we had issues with Burly Boyz. They sent over a crew with their “lead” speaking of drug problems and all the perks of the job furnishing his home with “lost items”. When they showed up in Ontario we had countless boxes missing of course all the ones with our most valuable items in them. When we contacted Burly Boyz it took many phone calls and emails of me chasing them to get an answer. Finally one month later they found a few items nothing of value of course and also mentioned they found the missing boxes with all our valuables. We were very excited to hear this. When they showed up they told us they had lost them again. I don’t know what to believe but this company was a nightmare to deal with and if you value your things I would never trust them in the hands of this company. They also left a mess in our new home and left all their moving rugs bunched up on the floor. USE ANYONE BUT BURLY BOYZ.

When I contacted Burly Boyz, I was greeted promptly with the promises of a stress-free, time efficient, and economical move. However, the move has turned out to be a nightmare. This for my move from AB to ON. The only good thing about them is their ground people. They are customer facing, and they try their absolute best to help customers. However, the action is not like what they said. 1. Low-cost service: when I contacted Milan, I was quoted to be 2,300 dollars. I asked them to send someone to take a look but they said no need. As they said I am from an apartment, and it should be correct. However, in the end, my cost has jumped to 5,900 for the move. Almost tripled the original amount. This could mean someone bankruptcy or bad debt if they are unable to afford it. Also, the weighting is done by them, so I have no way to verify it. Regardless, it is extremely horrendous to do that to people, had they are financially unstable. However, I did not take on their delivery people and I even ensured each of them got 50 dollars tip moving in/out. They do not deserve to be treated poorly due to the company’s mistake. 2. Time efficientcy: when I spoke to Milan & Amar, I was told initially 5-20 days. The move exceeded beyond that. On the contract it said 5-25 days. I asked to hear about the recording of the conversation as they said they recorded all convos. Nothing so far. I left on June 13th and my stuffs arrived July 5th, As this move is for a new job, I ended up take a week off at my new job because I thought it would come in 2 weeks. My stuff was still in Edmonton on June 25th. They should have stated it will take the full 25 days so at least the expectation is different. I lost a week of work plus having to pay tripled the amount of delivery. I slept on the floor, spent more money on food, and spent extra money that could be put to somewhere else. It would have better if I rent a pod and hire just labours. It would have been faster and saved me at least 500 dollars. 3. Stress-free moving: the whole experience moving with them is extremely stressful. From the money increasing triple the amount, to the very long time of waiting, and their inability to do right. Also, their office is extremely unorganized. Amar confirmed with me on July 2nd that my stuffs would arrive to my place on July 5th, He called me with less than 12 hours to go pushing it back a day. I had to rearrange the move, left everything as is and went to my job on July 6th. Their delivery team blamed it on their dispatch tagging me as a last minute one (same with the moving out). They held on to the 25 days period (again read above), regardless of my situation. They also purposely did that for the fact they knew I had to go to the airport at 4pm and I would not be able to unpack and see any more damages to claim. If you cancel something, a standard 24 hours notice is required, just like going to a dental appointment. 4. Also, my furnitures came up damaged and missing some parts. I am currently being sent around by their people to deal with this. Amar said it is not his job, the guy he sent me to is out of office etc. Initially, their manager contacted me because I posted an initial review on Facebook. My post has now been hidden or removed and I cannot leave another review. I cannot see any of my past posts. Perhaps, the company is good for local move because when it comes to long distance move, this is where all the problems arise. If you are not rushed for time, and have a lot of money to be throwing around unexpectedly, they would be your choice. My life was in shamble because of them. Otherwise, I hope you read this and think twice before booking the move. You will end up like me today writing this message with utmost discomfort and disappointment for a company where all they care for is profit, and not customer service. What they fail to realize is that they can suppress so much information from past customer, but their reputation is really shaky, at least to me. It makes me really question all the positive reviews they had before.

I had hired Burly Boyz to help me with a complicated move from Edmonton to Langley. Where they had to make two pick ups at two different locations before heading to B.C. The Edmonton crew were great. They were helpful, efficient and friendly. They made sure everything was done carefully and properly. I really felt relieved that they had carried out such a massive task. The crew that delivered my household goods to Langley were ok. They arrived and dropped off my items, but it seemed like only one guy was doing all the work and the other guy had disappeared. I had to ask the one guy to be careful not to scuff the walls or floor boards when he was unloading the boxes. Overall I was satisfied with the move. My items arrived safely and without any problems. I just felt like the first crew was more attentive than the second crew.

I have used movers in the past to move within my city. When I decided to move across country, I immediately developed anxiety just thinking about the moving process. Let me tell you, Burly Boyz Made the process so simple and easy in the beginning, then the pickup of my stuff was so easy, the guys were awesome and the process super easy. When my items were delivered in Montreal approx 6 weeks later, again, the prices super easy, the guys were awesome even though they had to deal with the traffic cops and my lack of knowledge of Montrea traffic laws. Moving is the most stressful situation, but BurlyBoyz makes the process so easy. My belongings arrived completely undamaged and in perfect condition ( I packed everything in tough plastic tubs and double thick boxes). I will have no problem moving to Calgary from Montreal in the fall thanks to Burly Boyz. Movers were not as efficient as the first time I moved with this company. One of the movers was very unpleasent during the day and seemed to not want to be there. His partner was great though, so I felt obligated to tip. I got highly underquoted and later found pieces of my furniture damaged. As well, a small chip was found in my rental apartment wall. The movers came late due to not being able to find the place which was an hour and half after I arrived to my location.

This was a Winnipeg to Edmonton move for my elderly parents. When the Foreman (D1) and his associate (D2) showed up at the house on February 25, 2020, WELL BEFORE COVID, they seemed both to be very polite and professional, as we expected from a previous positive experience we had with the Foreman four months earlier. My elderly parents made it clear up front, that their most prized and treasured possession was my mother’s 97 year old China cabinet that had survived 17 previous professional moves without any damage. We decided not to order extra insurance, given that it was a priceless possession, and could never be replaced or repaired, as no one makes beveled glass any more, and was a wedding gift from her mother. No amount of money would compensate my mother’s devastation if it got damaged. I even said out loud to my mother: “I hired these guys because they are professionals. Don’t worry, they will be careful with everything”. As soon as they began packing the China cabinet, D2 stated that: “the glass is loose”. My stepfather replied: “then you’d better tape it.” D1 responded: “The blanket should hold it.” They then finished wrapping it, without taping or securing the glass. The next day, when they moved it about 5 feet, they heard the glass come off inside. The only other two concerns we had with the Winnipeg phase was when they did some odd packing that resulted in chipped items, like combining heavier office items like hole punches with fragile dishware, which a professional should know not to do, and walking with muddy shoes on the carpeting, off of the runners they laid down, forcing us to vacuum up after them. When they arrived in Edmonton on February 27, 2020, a third man named C joined the first two original movers. At all times, C was friendly, helpful, careful and professional. D1 and D2 started off the same way, but when they unpacked the China cabinet, when we all witnessed it had been destroyed, they then seemed to become two completely different people. The politeness, professionalism and carefulness was then gone. No apology was ever offered for the destroyed cabinet from the movers themselves, my parents were devastated, and the only comment we got from D1 was that “taping it up would not have helped.” We caught them damaging the ceiling stipple (which they denied) by dragging a couch along it, with the stipple sticking to the furniture. We also caught them damaging the flooring by dragging heavy furniture along it. When my wife asked them to be more careful and to stop damaging things, the response was to insult her with “you guys are annoying us.” So when a customer objects to their property getting damaged, Burly Boys response is to insult the client? They proceeded to quickly unload things without care, knocking off some baseboard (without telling us), damaging more flooring, and telling me that they were “irritated.” They would not move a few heavier things to the right areas, so we had to do them ourselves. Other damaged items found: two custom-made clocks were packed tightly in bubble wrap. They no longer work now. An expensive painting had its frame broken. D1 shook his dirty gravel-covered floor runners all over our wood floors when he was done, instead of doing it outside. My parents actually caught the movers dropping and smashing a box, to which they denied. And, of course, we later found the ruined items, like garden gnomes, a mug and a thick vase, so they had to be dropped quite hard to do that. Burly Boyz’ Response to complaints after investigating for TWO MONTHS: At no time did we ever receive any explanation or apology for anything, other than being refunded $105.00 for ruining my mother’s priceless China cabinet. A polite staffer (Shawna) did express frustration at not being able to find anyone to fix the China Cabinet. No explanation or apology for any other incident was offered. Since the bill came to over $10,000, this represents an offensive refund of less than 1% for being disrespected, dismissed and victimized.

I booked with Burly Boyz for a move from Edmonton to Kelowna. I had done my research and had never used movers before, but I was hoping to choose the right company. I did not. When I requested a quote, Milan quoted me at a reasonable amount and I accepted it. Picked a pick up time and they were on time when the moving day came. When they quoted me, they said between 2 days (best case scenario) and 18 days (worst case scenario). They informed me that on average delivery happens around the 5-10 day mark, and once they arrived back at the office I would be contacted with an estimated date / time of arrival. I felt good! Luckily I packed my car full of enough to get me through two weeks of being left in the dark about where my stuff was and when it was actually going to arrive. When it did finally arrive, 14 days later, everything was fine and nothing broke or was missing, but they said 6PM on the delivery date. I waited until 8:15PM and they finally called to say they would maybe come the next morning instead. I told them that is impossible since I had to work! So they finally arrived at around 9:00PM with my belongings. Moral of the story, if you don't care when your stuff will arrive and don't mind having zero communication or knowledge of when your things will arrive, then go with this company. The movers were great and did their best and my stuff is in fine condition (The only reason why it is not a 1 star review), I think... But I was up until 1AM trying to put my stuff together and unpack so I may have to edit this after I have a better view of my items.

Very unprofessional and irresponsible moving company. I would have given no stars if I could have. We used this moving company hearing good about them from a friend and by reading their reviews. I must say, I m very disappointed. We moved our household stuff from Alberta to Ontario on December 13, 2020. We were told that we will receive delivery in between 5 - 28 days. When I asked what if that doesn't happen and they said it won't happen. They took a month and a half to deliver our goods and we received our goods on February 03, 2021. They claimed it on inter provincial lock down whereas their was no lock down for essential services. Also, they did not make it clear while collecting our goods. Secondly, they did not give us appropriate estimate of weight and locked us in higher price band per pound. Guys please watch out for this trick. We had to go through lots of hassle due to delay in move and then we had to beg for discount. The discount they gave was very nominal. We spent ten times more on hotel stay due to delay in the move. Everytime I called Nikola asking the status of our move, he replied saying they will contact us when there is any update. This is highly unethical and unprofessional.

I wanted to share my outstanding interactions with the public, about Burly Boyz moving and storage. This organization clearly gets the concept of professionalism, great customers service and going above and beyond for their clients. This week I was booked for a move with another company who will remain nameless for now. They were over 2 hours late and provided no updates to me on the status of their delayed arrival. Despite me calling them about 10 times prior to my moving date, I stressed the importance of being on time and that this was a big deal for me. Thinking the worst after getting the run around from them, I called Burly Boyz who were already booked up this week to see if they could assist me with a last minute request and they said that they would make arrangements to stop by the next day and pick up my furniture, which needed to be off the property as my condo was sold and needed to be cleared out. Hailey from the customer service team at Burly Boyz, went above and beyond to make these arrangements for me, despite being fully booked. The original company did show up, but they were a complete disaster, with last minute add on charges and less than profession interactions with me and my friends. I cancelled the back-up booking with Burly Boyz, or so I thought I did, and Mitchell still called me the next day to see if I needed any support for the move and was updating me on a slight delay on his end to make it over to my condo to still assist me if still required. Lessons learned, stick with the pro's and in this case Burly Boyz would be my recommendation to anyone scheduling an upcoming move or needs storage services.

For the positive comments, the office staff was good to deal with and they were able to move and deliver on the dates we requested and the movers showed up on time. However 75% of the furniture moved had some sort of minor damage. Nicks, holes and scratches. We did not take the extra insurance which we certainly will do next time so the damage is on us. When it came time to unload, the driver did not have the ticket from the weigh scale. Spoke to the office and ended up paying for weight based on the guess of the driver. Less a couple hundred pounds. We estimate the weight should have been around 1500 less based on our previous move. We agreed to pay to get it unloaded as they indicated the other driver from the load had the ticket but was off. They have an opportunity to have the load reweighed before it was delivered. We didn't find the employees to be very professional, they handled the furniture very rough, emptied the garbage from the truck on the front lawn.

The crew in Edmonton had wrapped everything with the thick moving blanket and did an amazing job. they estimated 7-28 days and they hit the timeline, with updates of what the statues was every week or so.
