We hired Move Ottawa to load and transport our household furniture for a move within the neighbourhood in early July, and they were very responsive. At the last minute, we needed to bump the move date by a few days, and they were very accommodating. On our moving day, Hamad, Shedy and Zico packed up and unpacked the house so efficiently that it took much less time than estimated - they were careful with all of our furniture and were really friendly. I don’t want to move again any time soon, but if we do, I would hire this team again for sure!

We gave our piano to a colleague and he hired this company to pick it up and take it to his house. We gave him the piano on the condition that he have a professional do the removal. Pianos moves are not for those without the experience and equipment to do the job. While the 3 young men who did the job were efficient and professional, they did arrive 40 minutes late, delaying our plans.They claimed the address was wrong on the work order. Who knows? Ok experience at best.

We had Amer and Hussein as our team on Friday, June 29th, moving us from one apartment to another within Ottawa. They were fantastic. Showed up early and worked hard for over six hours, despite the 30+ degree heat and some "creative" entrances and exits from both buildings. They were friendly and cracking jokes the whole time, and treated our stuff with care and attention, ensuring everything made it in one piece. The movers came on time, carefully wrapped the furniture with blankets, taped and loaded them onto the truck and delivered them safely to our place in Toronto without any damages. The movers were very careful, responsible, polite, patient, helpful and thorough. They used runners to ensure that the floor was not scratched. We paid whatever we agreed on initially for the service. There was no hidden costs. We were very happy with the movers and gave them a tip to buy dinner before they drove back to Ottawa. This latest (sudden and unexpected) move was not easy to achieve. Due to the physical distancing and self-isolation caused by COVID-19, I had to organize, purge, pack up and clean a house I had been in 12y8m in 3 weeks, mostly alone, to move. My panicked call to Move-Ottawa Movers was greeted with calm professionalism. This is my third move since August 2015 (all short notice) and Move-Ottawa Movers have been there for me each time, with clean vehicles, professional movers and smiling faces. They came prepared with disinfectant, PPE, and careful physical distancing. Highly recommend them for your next move..

I have used Move Ottawas twice now. The first time was a move and the second was two drop offs. Great service, very professional and very personable. Moving is NOT fun but they are quite funny. They go above and beyond, they were very careful with my furniture (0 damages) and always made sure I was consulted with my most valuable pieces. Fast, organised, and hard working. Had a very bad experience with this company. They were recommended by friends, but something must have changed in the company. I had everything boxed in the garage except the furniture and most of the stuff needed to go to the garage in the new home. Took 3 movers 8:30 hours to move a 3 bedroom house and were charged over $1700 for it. They could not even finish in one day and had to ask the new owner to leave stuff in the garage. Joey tried his best to satisfy us and came the day after to move the rest of the stuff, but he showed up with a truck half full. Had to call 3 of my family members to come and move the remaining stuff. Very unprofessional and dishonest movers. Even though they knew we get the key at 1pm they picked the boxes in the garage and left the furniture which was taking longer for the second trip and were waiting doing nothing so they could charge me for the time. When the second truck was half full they did not even tell me it is not going to finish in one day so I could ask my family members come and help. I had figure that out myself and still had 3 cars coming but was too late as the truck was leaving and had to be at the new home with them or they would have charged me for the time. Called my friend who recommend them and they paid $700 for moving 3 bedroom house 4 years ago. Would not recommend and had asked my friends to stop recommending them. After their response, I am surprised how easy they lie and their customer support. Never discussed number of boxes as it was hourly rate. They mentioned 200+ boxes. Can you fit 200+ boxes + 3 bikes + 2 kid toys in a double garage even?! As mentioned we got the keys at 1pm exactly. I am glad the company's response made it easy for everyone to see what they get.

(gah! lol) and were also good about stalling arrival a bit so that we could have time to clean our place etc. When arriving at the final destination, it was pouring rain and there was nowhere for the moving truck to park! Also, it was one very small elevator working...But they made it work! They were just awesome! Jay was also just a pleasure to deal with! Can't recommend them enough! OH! Great experience with Move Ottawa! After doing an extensive search on the web for a mover to get me from Ottawa to Toronto the reviews for this company were the best and I was not left disappointed. Since I had already moved to Toronto the day before they were supposed to arrive, there was no issue with them picking up my items from my storage unit at Dymon. Everything was securely wrapped and although there was a slight delay due to bad weather and famous Toronto traffic, everything arrived the day it was supposed to and most importantly, in one piece. On top of that they charged a flat fee so no surprises at drop off. I highly recommend this company for your moving needs!

I just had a great experience with Move Ottawa Movers. I moved from Ottawa to Hawkesbury and I had quite a lot of stuff. Jay, Frank, and Amer were extremely professional and took great care in wrapping furniture and making the truck was loaded and secured properly. They used time very efficiently. I was fairly well prepared and my things were well packed. The move went very smoothly and I was completely satisfied. I would use this company again (although I don't want to move for a while!). If you have a move coming up, you should use them too.

We recently hired Move-Ottawa to pack and move all our belongings from our townhome to our new single home. These guys were AMAZING !!!! The crew of 3 wrapped, protected and packed all our belongings from the old house to the new without a scratch on the old & new home and there was a lot to move around. Also the labor was charge as time plus material when moving but an estimated budget price was still given prior to the work being done and they were on the dot with pricing when calculating all the boxes, tape and labor at the end. Amazing company and extremely polite was really impressed, would highly recommend them.

I have to say, best service I had in 20 years. The gentleman I spoke with was very professional and polite, did not have a problem finding my place. They wrapped up and packaged all of my belongings and furniture and took extreme care when moving up and down the stairs from scratching the walls. Inexpensive pricing compared to the work they had done for me. I had two really great movers for my move who were friendly, efficient, and very fast. I was impressed that they had everything moved into my new bachelor apartment in under 1.5 hours. The only thing I wish that was different is the company's minimum 4 hour charge for the move (3 hours of work plus 1 hour travel time). So although I was moved in less than half that time, I still had to pay for the full 4 hours. But overall good company that made my move much easier.

I used this company for my move awhile ago now back in late October, for my move from Ottawa to Montreal. Having already done a long distance move previously, with a bad experience with movers I was nervous and apprehensive. But I'm happy to say my experience with MoveOttawa was great. I received prompt email responses to any questions/concerns I had (I was moving in the same day previous tenants were moving out). My two movers were on time and moved efficiently and quickly. Friendly guys, they made the whole experience super easy for me and got all my things into my new place no problem! After previous bad experience with moving, this was such a relief. We used Move Ottawa yesterday as a last minute decision rather than having family help us out. This was honestly the best decision we made throughout the whole moving process!! Three of the guys came at 9 am and while one wrapped the other two packed the truck (covering the floors so they didn’t get them dirty). They did EVERYTHING! They even stopped on the way to grab our things from storage as well. Once we got to the house they covered the floors really well because it was rainy out and I didn’t even have to clean the floors because they made sure not to step anywhere but the rugs they laid out. They organized everything so well in the rooms that I wrote onto the boxes. Once we inspected everything at the end, we were extremely pleased to see that there were no scratches or breaks and when I finished unpacking there were no breaks with the glass (that I didn’t wrap properly to be completely honest). My husband and I were extremely pleased with the service and highly recommend using them. They were so friendly and kept everyone calm in what usually is a tense stressful situation. I was fortunate enough to have Sam, Hamad, and Jay as my moving "crew" for the day of my move. I was a little apprehensive about hiring movers since my last movers were an expensive nightmare. I had basically called every moving company in the city with positive reviews for a quote. Move-Ottawa didn't have the highest reviews, but it seemed like the best rate/review combo. After my experience with my movers above I was completely blown away. The initial time quote was perfectly on time(I was expecting it to take much longer) and they were fun guys to talk to and they handled everything with care. They made the actual move extremely stress free, which is invaluable when we have a million other things going on. They were courteous enough to ask which rooms certain items belong in and didn't skip a beat to my requests. I HIGHLY recommend them and will be using them if I ever need movers in the future.

After receiving many quotes from various companies I quickly noticed that the price of movers varies greatly. What move ottawa quoted me was at times hundreds of dollars less than the next quote from the other guys with the same amount of time and manpower involved! Now, I'm typically a firm believer in the saying you "get what you pay for" so that being said I was almost a little hesitant. I thought this was too good to be true, something must be wrong here, but after reading many positive reviews on Google I decided to try my luck. Let me tell you this was one of the best decisions I made all month. The guys showed up exactly on time, took care to wrap my furniture and handled everything with care. Not a single item damaged and they did the job in less time then quoted! I would definitely recommend and will 100% go with them for my next move.

Both gentlemen were careful with our items and made sure to put all boxes in the appropriate rooms.
